Found this wonderful establishment while in town from TEXAS! The owner was very sweet and welcoming. The DJ was open to playing all of our favorite music. We had the best time here while visiting. The burgers and fries were amazing and made fresh!

Enjoyable place to grab a burger and have a drink

Had the opportunity to do a spot in a comedy show here with Meadowlands Comedy, and had a really nice time. It’s a small railroad type of space that evidently still has the original mahogany bar and tin ceiling from when it opened in 1910 - which makes it the longest standing bar in North Bergen, NJ! The bartender Elsa did an amazing job of running around doing everything, and Chris was in the kitchen making super-delicious burgers with Pat LaFrieda beef! Check it out if you’re ever in the neighborhood!

What an amazing find. My family came in for dinner and were not disappointed, to start, one of the best margaritas I can ever remember having. The house sauce for the wings brilliantly blended sweet and spicy and the wings were crispy and meaty. Burgers is in the name, and they did not disappoint! To top it all off, the staff was super friendly and welcoming. Simply an amazing experience!

I used to order from this place all the time when I wanted a decent burger and some steak fries. The patty used to be of a decent quality but idk what’s happened in the last few months but this place has fallen off a cliff. Last time I ordered, the patty was much smaller and clearly inferior quality. And the fries were different aka much worse. All this and the place keeps some strange hours, so when they appear available on the delivery apps that might not be the case. I guess they decided to cut corners to save money. Very unfortunate. Won’t be ordering here ever again.

First time here, won't be the last. It's locals vibe but welcoming. Visited on a Friday night, good music the whole time. I always appreciate an attentive bartender! Expect bar food, but done well.

A new favorite local spot! I actually did a comedy show here last night and my boyfriend, my friends and I are already talking about how it's such a great place for comedy. Drinks are great, burgers really are the best in Hudson county, great onion rings too. And of course the owners / staff are super nice and create a welcoming atmosphere. We will be back!!!

I’ve never written a really really negative review for an eatery but when I saw the relatively high “star rating” for this place I feel compelled to say something for anyone uninitiated. It’s basically a dive bar with tables out front. Both experiences I’ve had were negative. Ordered this during the pandemic- the burgers were very greasy but not the worst- then a year or so later, I tried eating here as it’s one of the few places in the neighborhood with outdoor seating and I was on a walk with my baby daughter sleeping in her carriage. I planned to eat on one of their outdoor picnic tables but had to deal with two of the bar patrons sitting on a bench close by the tables smoking weed and cursing loudly. I decided to take my kid across the street while waiting for the burger which at that point I decided I’d just take to go. When we sat back down there was a local drunk woman who began to harass us at our table who the server was trying unsuccessfully to shoo away. When food was finally ready, got a pretty weak apology; no discount on the food or any gesture that would make me consider giving it another try. I can’t speak for how this place is as a bar, but as a restaurant it’s beyond mediocre and attracts some sketchy people.

Typical bar. But food was very tasty. We had the wings, which were very small and a couple of burgers. Took the burgers to go, very good, but would have enjoy them more if they gave us some condiments (Ketchup).

A must stop! Best burger I've ever had. Their burgers are fresh. Great atmosphere in a small neighborhood bar. All of the staff was friendly, helpful, and made us feel like family. If you are in the area, you have to make this place one of your visits!

I was here a few weeks ago and had an amazing time! The bartenders were extremely cool. The DJ played great music and everyone I spoke with was awesome. The music isn't deafening and you can actually sit down here and have a conversation. The atmosphere here is among the best from the different bars I've been to - this place is a vibe all of its own! There's also some seating outside where you can have a smoke and hang out with friends. I came here with a friend and we had a few drinks. After a few I asked the bartender to make me something fruity, and he made a drink that was simple but exactly what I wanted! I didn't try too much of the food, we did order mozzarella sticks and they were fresh, not frozen. I've heard great things about their burgers as well that I'm looking forward to trying in the future.

Husband and I stopped by for dinner and a drink after walking New York all day. Staff was amazing, very helpful and happy to serve us! The food was absolutely delicious, and very filling especially for the price! Definitely will come again and recommend to everyone in the area!

Nice neighborhood bar with some excellent food and people

An awesome neighborhood bar! I stopped in to use the bathroom and have a beer while waiting for a bus back to the city. But because of the welcoming and cozy vibe of this bar I ended up missing 2 buses because I was having such a good time. I stayed because of the great(and most importantly genuine)hospitality I got from the bartenders and ownership. As soon as I walked in the door they made me feel like a local, and if I lived in the neighborhood Hudson burgers and beer would be mine. And on top of that the food is amazing! Pub food is hard to make memorable, but you can tell they care about the quality here. So glad I stumbled upon this great bar and it’s a new destination for me.

An exceptional bar that makes burgers FRESH daily. Apparently the cuts they receive daily are fromxa butchery nearby so the meat is never frozen. A huge plus. They're open late and the owners and staff are all splendid people. Chris and Ricky are amazing hosts. Johnathan the cook knows what he's doing. It's a great community shin dig with burgers and beer as the primary staples. And when I say primary, I mean PRIMARY. I believe if they just focused on burgers they'd easily beat the competition. There's a full bar with tap options of course. Fridays and Saturdays are probably the best days to come in the evening if you're seeking a good time and great conversations with the community and other locals or visitors. In conclusion, very unassuming from the outside but, like a good book, the contents and culture is one of those you wish won't become diluted as it becomes more popular and well known. I will be recommending them to all of my friends and family for a good ole burger. Oh! Yes they make burgers at different temperatures and the ingredients are all fresh.

I want to thank this place for their customer service and hospitality. My colleague and I flew into town late and and no other place was open or available for us to get phone. Upon arrival we were advised the kitchen was closed. However the manager and willing cook, decided to reopen for us and stay open later based on our situation. Also that was the BEST BURGER to be prepared in such a long time. I highly recommend the place and the food for anyone in the area.

I'm usually hesitant in trying out new burger places. A lot of places have been hit or miss, that or I am an extremely picky eater. I had ordered a nice BBQ brisket burger from your place tonight. They say when you are starving, that it makes just about anything taste delicious. While that maybe true, the burger you have served me was so delicious, it deserves higher than a 5/5. My only personal complaint is that I wish the burger had came with a small side. Other than that, well done and thank you to whomever made this burger. I wish I had a picture to show case how beautiful it looked despite all the JUICY BBQ sauce making it look SAUCY as hell But the burger sadly was gobbled up too fast. Will be looking forward to when I get the chance to dine-in person :)

The burger was so good! I wandered over here from the New Jersey Brewing company and was rewarded with one of the best burgers I have ever had in NJ

First time in the city last night. My friends brought me to this bar after a good day at work. For the next few hours we danced, ate good food, laughed with the entertaining bartenders, and had an overall good time. As a Florida Man it's always good to have good drinks with good people. I would be great to visit again if I'm ever in the area.

Wow, had a great time there this past Saturday. My friends 2 man band played so we came down to N. Bergen from Parsippany. We thoroughly enjoyed their burgers and loved the staff! Vienna who introduced herself as the owner was awesome! I think the bartenders name was Rick, very cool people. I'm definitely going back next time I'm in the area. Definitely a fun but relaxing bar/restaurant.

My friend used to bartend here so I used to come by and visit him, then I fell in love with the burgers. Vienna the owner was extremely and the burgers by far were the best I’ve had for the North Jersey area. I highly recommend this place if you have never been to Hudson, they are absolutely worth a try.

This place has some of the best food I have had in a long time. The burger was so savory, you can taste the love, that the owner Vienna puts into it. The bartenders are also cool, Tony, Ray, and Noel consistently hold it down. If you see a negative review just keep in mind that many small businesses are working through staffing shortages ever since COVID. I can assure you that the folks at Hudson Burgers & Beers have every intention of giving every single customer a pleasant experience and to feel welcome while they are there.
