Had basic breakfast fare on Sunday. Nothing spectacular. A friend chose this place. I had French toast, others had one egg bacon and a burrito in a bowl. The booth cushions were worn and sagged. Service was attentive and friendly.

Lovely locally owned family business makes this place comforting & personable. Unlike most large chains, it is also VERY affordable with hardly any dish costing over $10!

Best local greasy food joint (fries are killer)

A great 50’s style cafe with outstanding food. The “disaster” burrito is excellent and makes for a great shared meal. They also do great NM green Chile cheeseburgers and breakfast foods. My personal favorite is their Belgian waffles with strawberry and whipped cream. The service is always friendly and professional. Definitely worth eating here when you’re in ABQ.

We regularly make the trip to Hurricane's it's so good. The service and food quality is great (especially the fresh local burgers). And prices are very reasonable.

The hamburger I had was delicious. I had lunch, the place was warm but the people with me made lunch fun.

We had breakfast burritos. They looked great when brought to our table. Unfortunately, each of them barely had any eggs in it and definitely didn't have 2 pieces of bacon in it. It was mostly potatoes. The chile was great, but the inside of the burrito was missing all the protein for sure. Very disappointed and left feeling hungry. 😔 I've eaten here several times over the years and have never had this experience before.

When did the last cool sit-down diners in Albuquerque that's serving a really really delicious lunch menu. They serve breakfast all day which is really cool cuz I wanted a steak and egg breakfast and that's what I got and it was delicious. My buddy got the nachos and again another great meal with fresh beans who cooks beans anymore today right. I got to stop in here more often.

Best place for a cup of coffee and relaxed dive diner experience. A flavourful green chile sauce. Breakfast Supreme Burrito is one of my favorites. If you like classic diner feel and service, this a place for you. Near UNM so a great place to get Hurricane Burritos tosplit for study groups, or if wanting lunch while visiting family or friends in the hospital. Green chile has flavor but medium-hot so can be tolerated by most people without discomfort from heat.

Prices are so reasonable. There is a little bit of wait for the server and the food but we can’t complain because the prices are so reasonable!

I found a hair on the plate, and I told the girl, when it was time to pay she didn't make the slightest effort to say I'll give you a discount or it's free, I was going to pay the bill anyway, but she didn't say that, not even a "sorry for the inconvenience". "They don't seem to care."

Great food, great service, super affordable. I almost don't want to share this little local gem but they deserve the hype. They also have the old school drive-up CarHop parking spots that you can order from. Awesome malted milkshakes too!

New Mexican diner stays consistent.

I have only been here twice, the taco burgers are delicious also the regular burgers 🍔 sure really good. I intend to try different foods from their menu as they have a wide variety. Nice , quaint little spot.

Went for lunch and was not disappointed with the taco burger rancheros. Wife got the huevos rancheros and the youngster got the French toast with bacon.

The food was not as good as I remember it being. Maybe they have changed cooks . I truly hope that they get back to their wonderful food. I loved their Disaster burrito. Looking forward to an other try.

The pan potatoes were a bit overcooked other than that everything's delicious.

I got a cheeseburger and curly fries! It was good and it’s local, I’m always happy to find a local spot nearby that’s tasty. If you don’t like special sauce make sure and mention it. I got mustard and my cheeseburger was very good. I’ll go back for sure.☺️

Although I had not been here in a long time, the food was as good as I remember it. People were friendly and quick. Bottom line. If you want to enjoy good service and delicious food Hurricanes is your place for breakfast and lunch. If you come here don't forget to try there shake's. Hope you enjoy ground beef steak and eggs, yum.

A great retro American Dinner that makes New Mexico fare. Amazing fresh ground beef chile cheese burgers and massive burritos. Breakfast searved all day too, all made from scratch fresh every day. Don’t forget the cinnamon rolls or a shake or malt. Friendly service from a hard working group of community driven people with an owner that often donates his time and money to homeless people and local schools. Chef slayed.

I've lived in the area for 30 years and have never tried this place and now I'm wondering why I never did! The food was great and so was the service, and the prices are fantastic.

This place was a step above dog food. It was horrible. The food was ice cold. The staff all stood around talking. Nobody checked back to see how our food was. Pure trash. Food does not look like the pictures we saw before going there. Avoid this place

I got an egg, potato, and green Chile burrito! Pretty good! Other items were posole 4/5 Green Chile stew 4/5 Smothered meat burrito 4/5 Everything was mediocre but good, better than it being bad! I would go here again because it’s so cheap and cozy!

Fantastic diner! Had a perfect breakfast here, excellent eggs, sausage, and potatoes. The wait staff was incredibly kind and good to talk to. Definitely coming back here for another Saturday breakfast

Trip back in time to good food and service.

We had a somewhat large party of 9 and showed up 30 minutes before close. The customer service was beyond amazing. They were kind and even brought out fries for the 4 little ones with us, so they didn't get cranky. I'm sorry I didn't get anyone's names, but they had every right to be cold to us or upset, but their kindness and great attitudes were beyond impressive and appreciated. It was my first time here, and I will make every effort to go when I am in town from now on. Food was great too! LOL

If you're flying out of Albuquerque.. as a native...this Burrito is delicious

It’s a very cozy and quiet diner. Very American-like, so that’s why I went there, since we don’t have these types of diners back home. Went with hamburger steak and eggs, and it didn’t miss! Just what I needed to continue working remotely.

One of the best Mexican food in town. Food will last you days. "Good Luck Disaster Burritos" is a must grab.

The staff is super friendly and helpful, even when they were stretched thin. I have only visited twice, and both times, I ordered the disaster burrito. While it is very filling, it is a little bland and hopes the heat will make up for it. I love visiting when I'm back home, but next time, I'm trying a different meal on the menu

20 minute wait times... dry burritos... chili sauce like water... welcome to hurricane's.

Just spoke with a manager, a MANAGER who I let know that the rice was hard and not cooked for serving and I had been throwing up for 30 minutes after immediately having their Oreo shake and all I got was a “I’m sorry” and “yes I know about the rice, it was sent to us like that” I threw up my food and anything else that was on my stomach and they get to keep my money?!? Horrible customer service and I will never eat here or recommended this place ever again!!

This was my first time here. I took my mom for her birthday brunch and the food was scrumptious. For a place that seems like it is super busy and isn't popping it should be. Because the severs along with the cooks are doing an exceptional job.

Hurricane's is a wonderful classic diner with quality New Mexican favorites and a no frills approach to food. My girlfriend and I stop in for breakfast all the time and we've never been disappointed. Highly recommended.

Amazing diner vibes with solid New Mexican food. This place has been around for decades serving excellent food and service. Huevos Rancheros were amazing. The Chile wasn’t spicy but it was still excellent. Our group got burritos which were solid as well.

The staff was amazing and the food was fantastic. I would definitely go back to again it was our first time there I do recommend it

Freaking disgusting! Not good food. Watery, almost sour tasting. Sure service is good but not the food.

The food was kinda bland,no seasonings in the red chili,the chicken fried steak was small and tasted identical to a TV dinner.

I was excited to try this place but was very disappointed. We purchased several burritos for co-workers and the burritos looked like they cut the tortilla in half and stuffed it with eggs and cheese and literally 3 potatoes. We were very disappointed. Never again

I Live this Historic Restaurant I have been visiting & dining here since the 80's! I live in Rio Rancho & will continue to eat here! I love the staff food & the atmosphere!

My burger and fries were pretty mediocre.

I was excited to try this place but unfortunately, I was let down. This place has an antiquated, drive up diner look. Pretty cool. We ordered two breakfast burritos-one sausage and one bacon ($15). They were so bland. The green and red chile had absolutely no flavor or spice. The tortillas were awful and the bacon strips were chewy. Chopped bacon with some crunch would have been a much better texture. Eggs seemed fresh and the potatoes were just okay. I wish I could say that I will be back to try something else but I am not so sure about that. 3 stars for being a local establishment with quick, friendly service.

This is a traditional diner and it serves all of the classics here. You can get a very good burrito here. Be careful....a 1/4 burrito is a very good portion. You can't finish a whole one.

Meh diner food. I love to support local but this spot made me think Denny's and IHOP were 5 star establishments.

I was super excited about finding this place and it was not delicious. Waitresses were hard working and friendly though..... Unfortunately, food taste days old. Had a steak burrito, egg burrito and green chili cheese fries and did not even take a second bite after trying the first and immediately tossed in their dumpster. Sorry Cafe....

If you're in the area, or not, this place is worth a shot. Reasonable prices, good food, great people. And real 50's decor to boot. Giant serving sizes to top it off.

It was OK I got a lot of heart burn but it was worth it because the ham, cheese, egg and green chile Burrito was delicious. At first the person that answered at the dive up speaker seemed kind of rude but she made it up at the end she just thought I was a regular but it was my first time there so she explained the menu to me. Definitely would recommend this place to family and friends. Just remember to take your heart burn pills lol!
