Everything was fantastic from our drinks to entrees! The summer crostini and polenta appetizers were delicious 😋

My daughter and I had dinner here last night on our way to Longwood Gardens. Delicious! My daughter had the home made fettuccine and Lobster. Which was huge. Came with 3 half tails on top. I had the corn and crab pasta which was also delicious! Our server Greg was very good. Tables are right on top on each other. I felt like I was on a date with the folks next to us! But, the food is Great! Oh, I also brought a bottle of wine. Which helped with the bill. Call for reservations. We will be back

Cannot say enough what a great experience my wife and I had here. From the service, food, welcoming staff and ambiance IL Granaio is now our favorite Italian restaurant. Octopus app was out of this world and the complimentary homemade limoncello was such a nice touch.

Got take out again, less than half the portion I received, if I was to dine in. Third time this happened to me!!! Still paid full price as I would if I was to dine in! This is a 6” plate, what a rip off!!! I will be contacting The appropriate people to look further into this issue!

Got takeout for Father's day and didn't open up the food until I got home, only to find a hair in it :( really disappointed that this was the meal I bought for my dad and then had to figure something else out because there is no quality control for take out orders. Very disappointed and would not go here, especially not take out. Super expensive for a place that didn't notice a black hair right on top of the pasta.

Food was excellent, as was the service. Little tight on space so maybe not ideal for kids, but a great spot for a date night...

A baby shower event. Food was excellent, service was perfect and staff was professional and pleasant...fun time.

Came on a Friday lunch before Christmas with my parents. Service is very prompt and the restaurant fills quickly. Pulpo was a bit overcooked but the fish franchese was very delicate and delicious (note: very strong lemon sauce). My favorite is the dip they provide with bread service - so delicious.

Very good overall. Good food, generous portions, free limoncello at the end. Don't be afraid to do 2 appetizers foe your dinner. It works well here. Prompt service, and nice old world style atmosphere.

The fish special was great and so was the Italian Mule!

Enjoyed lunch with three couples, everyone agreed food and service was great. The place was busy but not overcrowded.

Every time I bring people here, they love it. It's a bit pricey, but high quality. The complimentary white bean dip and bread are to die for, which makes you feel a bit better about the priciness. I am a vegetarian and wish they had more veggie offerings. Yes, they will make the dishes without meat, but keep the same prices so you end up paying for the meat even though you didn't have it. I would appreciate some meatless offerings. Last night we had a wonderful bartender who made the most delicious cocktails. I highly recommend the Napoli! He did not skimp on the liquor like many restaurants do. We appreciated that! I was sad to learn that their incredible polenta wedges are no longer and instead we get a more soupy polenta that was delicious but not the same. Always hard to see favorites go. I think this is the finest Italian restaurant we have outside of Philly. The Latino bussers are always excellent; they really care about the customers and work very hard. They are a part of what makes this restaurant special. What also helps to keep the quality up is the lovely owner is constantly floating around to make sure everything is going smoothly. That is very rare to see.

The food is outstanding, the service is great. Very attentive and polite staff. Usually when you get a pasta dish the meat is in short supply, but not here. My wife's salmon was big enough for 2, and I ran out of pasta way before chicken, crab or the veggies. Moving within a half mile of here, the scale won't be happy! And save room for the best and largest tiramisu around, and the free homemade limoncello!

Good food, tables were very, very close together. We went to celebrate my birthday, and all we could focus on was the table 5 feet away and their loud conversations. The servers, guests, and server assistants couldn't even walk down the isle at the same time causing awkward moments of our server stepping away so someone could walk past him instead of listening to our order. Not his fault, just very uncomfortable. If you want to have a nice dinner and be able to talk with the people at your table, this is not the place. If you want just a quick bite with good food, then this is it.

Had Easter Dinner and it was perfection! Matt was our waiter and he was on the ball! Food was so good… appetizers of cockles, burrata toasts, goat cheese salad and calamari were enjoyed by all 7 of us. We had the Corvina special… yum!…short ribs, lamb shank, pasta dishes, and all were amazing and well executed. Desserts were enjoyed also. Can’t wait to come back. Thanks for your genuine hospitality and great food!

We hosted a bridal shower here yesterday and everything was absolutely perfect. Before we even got there the owner was offering to let us come in earlier than our scheduled time to set up if we needed to. As soon as we walked in he was hands on offering ideas of where to place everything asking if we needed anything. He was even vacuuming as we set up to keep the area clean. The food was amazing and the dessert was even better. Everything was very relaxed and enjoyable. He was there to help us anyway we needed.

The food and waitress were fine. The issue we had was we had not even finished our meal and the bus staff were asking if we needed boxes. They proceeded to start removing items from our table including the sugar packets and our water glasses. We were there celebrating our daughter's birthday. We wanted to spend some time conversing and this was clearly not going to be allowed. This has never happened before and was very disappointing.

Surprisingly busy restaurant considering nothing around the area. Food is super flavorful. Waiter Matt is extremely focused on you. Menu is diverse and offers something for everyone. Busy and loud inside. Makes the experience worth the reservation recommended.

Great Italian food but the waitress was pushing us out as our party was talking

Last night, we called last minute to try to get a reservation with ourselves and our infant daughter. Surprisingly, they were able to give us a reservation for about 30 minutes after we called. We were seated quickly after we arrived and every working was absolutely on-point. Bussers/runners were friendly and polite, and our waiter Matt was 10/10. He was so sweet with our girl, attentive, and never made us feel rushed. He ended the meal by letting us know about a special gift we were being given by another table which truly made us choke up. Even besides this happening, the experience was stellar from start to finish. We shared the octopus appetizer with more tender octopus than we had experienced at any restaurant on either coast. My wife's short rib tortelloni was rich and flavorful, a perfect serving size while being expertly prepared. I enjoyed the house-made gnocchi with braised pork cheeks that made me feel like I was back in Italy. The gnocchi was pillow soft and the cream sauce added a perfect balance of flavor without being overpowering. As a shared contorni with the entrees, we also had the cannellini beans with roasted broccoli rabe and garlic which you could smell wafting from across the restaurant. In the future, I might have to get my own side of it because it really was just that fabulous. It had been 2 years since we last visited, and at the end of the meal we couldn't understand why we had waited so long to visit again. Menu prices for value are definitely spot on, and the ability to BYO while still having a full bar truly provides the whole package. The night was so wonderful and we will absolutely be back. Thank you again to Matt and the staff for excellent service.

Very good medium-upscale Italian. But to call yourself a BYOB and then charge $8 corkage fee is unreasonable - you either are or you are not a BYO and you are NOT.

You rarely find a restaurant experience like this anymore. Extremely attentive service, excellent food, vibrant atmosphere. We’ve probably eaten here six or seven times - lunch, dinner, weekday, weekend - and it had been 100% consistent.

Outstanding food, Service and Atmosphere

Love this place, it you can get in. Excellent food, friendly and attentive staff. The charming and handsome Greg (who runs this place) is amazing. I was their visitor for lunch many yearsago. It is my preferred restaurant for special occassions, family gatherings, or anytime you want a great sit down local meal to “eat eat”. It’s partially BYOB. Very busy, a little noisy but delish. Lucky to have such an excellent place nearby.

It's a great Italian restaurant. Everyone loved their meals. I recently went on a Tuesday and it was full so book ahead if possible.

We moved away, but we love this place so much we visit every time we're in town. Best gnocchi ever. All the pasta and meat (yummy beef cheeks) dishes are amazing. I haven't had a bad dish here and we come here a lot.

Very noisy and crowded at night. Lunch time is better for atmosphere. The food is delicious. I had the Sunday Gravy and it was great. A friend also had it and loved it. My wife had the chicken parm. It was good. I finished it the next day and I thought it was excellent

Six of us just had dinner here. Matt our waiter was outstanding, very attentive and Nice through our dinner. Three had steak, two had chicken and one had flounder. Everyone enjoyed their meal and cleaned their plates! ;)

Food absolutely delicious if overpriced. Staff very professional people. Always accommodating and friendly. The servers are extremely knowledgeable about the menu and specials. They always look put together and clean. The atmosphere can be loud just because of the number of people packed into the place but it always has a nice easy vibe. I always get either pasta or a seafood dish and I’m never disappointed. But, if you call for take out and talk to “Matt”, notoriously rude on the phone, hangs up on customers. The same person actually hung up on me on two separate occasions. Great place to eat just don’t call for take out! Matt will be mad at you! I continue to dine in occasionally because I really enjoy going there. But I’ve stopped calling for take out.

BYO and also has cocktails? What a crazy good idea. Food was excellent. Only complaint was dinner came out immediately after we finished appetizer. Would have liked a few more minutes between.

My family make the joke that if there was only one day left to live, we would reserve a table here. It's that good. The gnocchi is out of this world. I personally have sent 31 of my clients and friends here and each have thanked me. Each one of my birthdays or my anniversary you will see us We just absolutely love it.

OUTSTANDING top to bottom...front to back...food, service, atmosphere

This is hands down the best & most consistent Italian restaurant in the area. I have gone since they opened and have never had a bad meal. They start you with a white bean hummus dip which is so good. For apps we usually get clams & drunk bread, Arancini, calamari, or our favorite the grilled octopus and crispy potato’s. For lunch or dinner- the seafood pastas, branzino, and the sunday gravy are my favorites. For desserts- The cannolis or the lemon cream cake Make sure you call at least a week in advance for weekend reservations 🍝

The food, service and atmosphere are great. Parking is good but the entrance is easy to miss so be alert when approaching.

My husband and I have been to both of their locations and fully intend to go again. The marinara is hands down the best I have had in my life and the vodka sauce is out of this world. Service was top notch!

What a great, great birthday dinner!! Three of us, five total, said, "Best Dinner Ever!" Apps were amazing, entrees were perfect! Sam, our server, made our evening! The one hour drive will be repeated often...Fantastic.

Amazing...always the best..Sam was our waiter he was also sweet and the best waiter he took excellent care of us. We have been here many times and are always extremely happy and satisfied. Can't wait to eat our leftovers...

II Granaio was excellent as usual. Their portions are generous, and everyone in my party wound up bringing home lunch for tomorrow. The dining room was warm and inviting, and we were never rushed. I had the salmon, which was covered in a sweet, sour, hot sauce loaded with sautéed fresh chopped peppers. My friends had chicken parm, veal, and a rolled chicken breast stuffed with spinich, peppers, cheese, and spices. The restaurant is BYOB and offered us a complimentary shot of limoncello after the meal. We had no room for dessert but sat and chatted, winding up walking out with the staff. It was relaxing to sit and talk and not feel as if the business could not wait for you to leave. The restaurant was, (to me), surprisingly busy for a Wednesday evening, but nothing was hurried, and the food was delicious 😋.

Made online reservations and were seated promptly upon arrival. We were near the restaurant entrance and watched it fill up pretty quickly. Our waitress, Lisa was very friendly and attentive. I think there was just one additional waitress in the front area, but don’t worry, the support staff was just incredible. From filling water glasses, providing bread and serving dinner entrees they kept the entire area flowing smoothly. Meals were delicious and plentiful. And judging from the flow of regular diners from the neighborhood they would agree! .

The food was down right amazing, very tasty chicken parm very delicious meatballs everything is so dam good here I’ve been here about 5 or six times nothing I’ve ordered has ever disappointed me it’s so amazing staff is so quick an respectful family like atmosphere it’s so great

Excellent tasting food, ample servings, great service even though they were extremely busy for a Wednesday night.

Since our first time we've had many more visits and always were very satisfied with them. At some point they removed one of our favorite dishes on the menu (Crispy Polenta with Mushrooms and sausage), which was a bit upsetting for us. But on our last visit recently we were very glad to taste their new version of it and it was tasting even better than the previous one. We wanted to thank the Chef for returning this wonderful and sort of unique dish back to the menu. We also were impressed with the Stuffed Peppers and Raviolis Agrodolce. Now we are dreaming about our next visit to this wonderful place of Italian culinary perfection. P.S. Love this restaurant dearly. But planning our next visit this week looked at the menu and didn't find three of our most favorite dishes (Crispy Polenta del Granaio, Stuffed Peppers and Raviolis Agrodolce) again, which was very disappointing. Those dishes were the reason we'd always stop here for Lunch or Dinner every time traveling to and from the gardens around Rt 30 which we visit quite often. Because to find a good pasta or other Italian dishes is not so hard in other places (particularly around this area), but none of those places offers these amazing dishes we've fell in love with and none is as great as this wonderful place. Now we have to consider going to Phoenixville location or Antica for at least one of those dishes, and both places are much further from our route. So, I write this review in hopes that if somebody from the staff comes across it and hopefully make a decision to return those dishes back to the menu. I think not only we but others too will be very appreciative to this decision.

Delicious food, wonderful service !

Stopped in for lunch after a round of golf. Both the food and service were excellent. I definitely recommend this place.

One of the best Italian restaurants I've visited - even against ones in Italy! Everything was delicious - crispy burrata, stuffed meatballs, fresh pasta that melted in my mouth, and the Nutella crepe pudding with olive oil gelato was absolutely amazing! Our server was so friendly and helpful. I only wish we lived closer!!

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner here last night. The food, service and atmosphere were fantastic! Warm bread and oil/bean purée to start, then we had the meatballs and octopus (both delicious!), then for entrees I had the cavatelli (had to take half home) and my husband devoured his Veal Parmesan chop. We finished it off with chocolate mousse cake, my favorite! Our server Matt was great. All in all a lovely dinner and we will be back with family to experience more of the menu!

Absolutely delicious. Mussles were perfect and not overcooked. The Octopus was the best I've had since living on Alaska, 20yrs ago. Beet- Mozz Raviolis were scrumptious. Staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and very skilled. Overall, a wonderful dining experience.

We came here because of the great reviews. It’s a really cool barn in glen mills with lots of locals and very nice staff. The food was good, but too expensive for how much you get. I had very delicious $35 pasta with 3 shrimp and crab meat. The meat was just not enough. For an $11 Caesar salad I was expecting the most amazing salad, but it was just ordinary. The bread and hummus were delicious. The wait staff is overly attentive. The place is nice, but too expensive and the staff is overly attentive.

This was a wonderful experience...they found us a table without a reservation, delicious food & wine and great service. Get a reservation...we got lucky, but you don't want to leave this to chance!! It is amazing 👍
