Lovely little conversation bar. Hard to get a table if you show up late or do not have a reservation due to limited seating. They do offer some food/small plates but it’s rather pricey

Came on a recommendation. I thought it was really intimate but it got super loud quickly. The food was delicious but I guess I didn’t look closely enough at the menu before choosing to eat here because the food menu was extremely limited with very small portions. Just tapas, no meals. Great spot if you’re trying to impress a date or want to try lots of sake, but not if you’re actually hungry.

This is a very unique place and doesn't look like much when you are walking up. However, I must stress this can be an issue if you come on a busy night. This place is roughly the size of your bedroom. The dining area is small and cozy. If you come with a group bigger than 4, you are going to have to wait or squeeze in there. That being said, if you can get a table the food is delicious and the sake choices are amazing. Get a bartender curated flight and have a good time. I've never had the same sake twice nor the same menu.

This place is another hidden gem in St Pete. My wife and I visited after hearing great things and loved it! It's nestled off the road in a small converted house with just a small number of tables. Very intimate. The ambiance is awesome with a great music selection playing. I'm not usually a huge sake fan usually but they have a huge selection and the staff are very knowledgeable on the different varieties and provided a great flight selection. They also do a unique take on classic cocktails using sake instead. The Pina colada was great! The food was smaller tapas style portions but everything was out of this world delicious. We tried the gyoza, tuna crudo & chef's Noodle dish. All 3 were fantastic & expertly crafted. You for sure need to check this place out!

One of the most unique dining experiences I've had in Florida. First off, I've read about Japanese listening houses and have always wanted to go to one so when I saw that there was one in St. Pete I couldn't pass it up. The atmosphere is 10/10 as this place seems to be a house converted into a restaurant, so it's cozy and intimate. The food is absolutely incredible. The menu changes up every so often, but when I was there, there was quite the selection. Everything was delicious. The service is top notch. Skye (spell?) Was my server, who was super helpful and knowledgeable on the menu. Like I said, it's a listening house, so when I was there, they had a DJ who was playing vinyls, one side at a time, to fit the vibe of the night. You won't be disappointed by stopping in. I highly recommend it!

Dishes are meant to be shared. To make it a meal you need at least two plates per person. Sake flights are $10 per 2 oz sample. They didn't have any vegetarian dishes (besides a delicious water melon salad) but made me a lemon grass-ginger broth Ramen that was excellent. I was not convinced by the consistency of the noodles, though. They had the appearance of Dao Xiao Mian but were doughy and a bit sticky on the teeth. All in all an enjoyable evening but I am deducting a star for missing online information. Why can't they publish a menu (it's as easy as snapping a picture of the printed version and uploading the picture) The reason that I can't give 5 stars

Atmosphere and service is spot on!! Unfortunately everything we ordered was not good - the sake drinks were off putting and they don’t have a liquor license so there are no other options and the yellow tail they served us was drenched in oil so it tasted like oily fish rather than being light and refreshing. This place is truly one of a kind. It is a sake bar and listening lounge, and if you are looking for a chill atmosphere, genuinely nice & kind people to interact with, and just completely amazing food and (especially) drinks then you need to listen up right now and go to in between days. When I visited this establishment I met the owner, Zac, who likes to hang out and chat with the patrons, and as I understand it this bar is a passion project based on his experiences living in Japan. He brought a sweet slice of culture from there to here, and made it his baby. Zac, if you're reading this, I wish you all the best. This was by far my favorite stop in between events as I visited Florida over the weekend. I will definitely be visiting again to eat some more oysters. Oh and if you make some more of those black shirts I would love to buy one and have it shipped to Texas 😎😎😎

It is an old bungalow that has been restored into a cozy, intimate restaurant. There is a big emphasis on sake which is so cool and unique. The snapper crudo is life changing. The mushroom scallops were incredible as well. It’s so impressive that they had the same texture as an actual scallop. I’m drooling just thinking about them. Really cool concept, unfortunately the food didn’t quite live up to it. The balance of flavours was all wrong, the caramel salad first or second bite was v good but by the end you were eating a dessert, needed more tomato & cheese to cut through the sweetness, the hamachi needed more blood orange/citrus to balance out the salt which overwhelmed it. The pork was really good just slightly too sweet/too much sauce. I think if they get the balance right, and offer a few more food options it would be really great. The dining area was slightly too dark to eat and lacked atmosphere. Very cool decor though and whole concept.

Simply exceptional. Unique menu & flavor combinations. Everything is so very well thought out here. From cocktails to plates to music to decor to service. All cocktails contain sake, and are amazing. The Lychee Sangria was in a word, refreshing. The Berenger Luck had a nice Fresno pepper zing with yuzu sake that woke up the palette. Mmm. Plates arrived one after the other and we had to keep declaring new favorites. In other words, you can’t go wrong with anything here. Highlights were everything on the menu. When do you see ingredients such as trumpet mushrooms? Or salted caramel vinaigrette? Marinated soft-boiled egg or apricot mostarda? It certainly feels, or about to be, Michelin-level quality all around.

I’m sad to write this review bc I’ve been a big fan for a while, and have told many ppl about this place. I was in a few Saturday’s ago and split my tab with a friend. Had a wrong charge and the right charge pending. I communicated right away w the establishment and was told that often happens. The wrong charge posted immediately, 2 days later, and the right charge stayed pending after 6 days. Finally cleared (the wrong charge). Asked if they were going to fix it and there’s been no response. Terrible customer service. And before they say “you’ve never been here” I used a company card instead of my personal one. Honestly, there’s so many bomb places in st pete, why would I deal with this. I had to file a dispute w my credit card since nothing was handled on their end. This is not my fault, you charged the wrong amount and I gave you 16 plus days to fix/make it right. It’s only “cool” until you don’t start treating people right and fixing your own mistakes.

The best dining experience ever... First I researched (a Tokyo listening bar?), then we found it (no sign, no logo-- a house set in the middle of other homes), then we get to the door (no commotion), and lastly, we opened the door. The eclectic, cool sounds of jazz, blues, funk hit you like a Hokusai wave. Loud but not offensive... other worldy! The sound frequencies are set perfectly to project turntable records from there wall of records. With top of the line speakers and sound proofed padded walls, the sound experience is made for those inside not out. The place is packed with people enjoying the sounds, sights, smells, and drinks in a retro lighted atmosphere! It is the only imported craft Saki tasting bar in Florida right here in our own backyard... downtown St. Petersburg! A hole in the wall but not a dive... classicly, classy! Zach, the owner, sat down with me and my husband, Alex. He explained the concept and wowed us! We shared several tapas style dishes (small menu... prepared to perfection) and although we do not drink, he shared 3 cocktails they could do without the saki -- the most delicious and outstanding non-alcoholic cocktails hands down we had ever had!!! We didn't miss out on the feel good vibes! We spent over an hour absorbing our newly found treasure... I find it hard to share it's secret, but too excited not to let you know what we found! It is a welcoming environment that invites you to sit and stay awhile, taking it all in and with no reservations, no to go's, no deliveries, and no phone calls (that's right... there is no phone number) you can let your eyes wander and ears eaves drop on others experiences without anything taking you out of the moment! A once in a lifetime experience to have over and over again... Don't miss out and check them out-- Word of Mouth is their form of Advertising!!! in between days because it is open 5ish to 10ish every evening.

Such an amazing little spot. We went with another couple and shared all four food options, all of which were delicious! We tried several of their signature cocktails, all of which did not disappoint. Highly recommend!

Very fun place. Upscale vibe but owners and bartenders are very down to earth and happy to converse about anything while they teach you about saki. The food we had was outstanding! Mostly traditional freeform jazz on the turntable but they mixed in some acid jazz.

Honestly waited a long time to write a review here because I’d rather in between days stay a hidden gem for locals. Now that word has spread, everything you read and see is true. Definitely in my top 3 in DTSP, such an amazing experience each and every-time.

Very cute trendy spot. Low key. This my third attempt to catch the open lol But it was worth it. Really cool vibes. Appetizer menu is short but gives a variety. Sake list runs long for folks that want options. I’ll be back.

🚨 The Chelsea PERMANENTLY CLOSED on June 16th 2024. We’re very sad, as this was one of the best coffee spots in all of St. Pete!

Great way to spend a Thursday evening. Our teacher Morgan was deliteful and we all had a great time. You can bring your own snacks and drinks or purchase from the bar. Will definitely be back.

I was so excited to try Cafe Clementine after many have raved about it. I was even more thrilled to surprise my spouse by bringing home one of their special cherry pies they have right now. Unfortunat
