had a friend who’s a local recommend it a few years ago, all we ever get is great service and amazing food. The chef and waitress are sweet and homey. I got the Carne asada basket with the fries and the chef added some crema on the top..100/10 THE BEST. My boyfriend got the turkey melt with ham and bacon , best club we’ve ever had🤯

We were craving a burger and this burger really hit the spot. Western burger with ham and garlic parmesan fries. Customer service was great and the establishment was nice and clean. Found our new burger spot for when we visit Bishop.

This is a little restaurant with some class, if you drive by too fast you might miss it. The menu has a good variety, and the quality is better than it looks. I didn't get a full meal, but what I did get was great! Sriracha BBQ Ham Basket. Coming back to try other food and the beer!

Stopped for an early dinner after a hike. Food is phenomenal and the attitude of the cook and staff extremely accommodating. The menu is very rich, with a lot of items that then come with different options, configurations etc, including vegetarian. Many specials of the day. Hard to choose! My husband had caliente burger that he really liked, and I had a special of the day: shrimp burrito, which was so flavorful, with shrimps grilled to perfection. We liked it so much that we got some food to go for supper. Definitely a must stop!

An absolute gem of a find . Greeted enthusiastically by the owners as you walk in 👍which is a lovely touch 😀. The same enthusiasm for the specials on offer 👌 And of course you're hoping that the food meets this level . Service is swift but not rushed, and the food comes well presented, (then the taste )😋 All three dishes we were served tasted fantastic, the burger sublime 😋 the fries with garlic and parmesan cheese are a winner . Carne asada with the fries also has extra toppings of salsa avocado and soured cream , making this a taste sensation 😋 The chicken dish went down a treat too 👍 Clearly a family run business that means everything to them and that's passed to the customer in the way you are treated from start to finish. 5⭐️ all round

Amazing little family owned restaurant. Cook was open to feedback. Waitress checked on us frequently. Portion sizes were great. Only has a single restroom and soda options were limited to canned root beer at the time, but it seems that they were low on stock, so they get a pass. I would recommend for anyone passing through Bishop.

The food was great! We got the veggie version of the swiss mushroom burger and the club sandwich. They were all super good and filling! The chef gave us a churro basket on the house just to be nice. He was very passionate about the food he makes and ingredients were all tasty. The staff were super friendly and awesome. I would recommend highly.

What a great find! I had the chicken melt and my fiancé had the shrimp burrito. You can tell the food is made by people who genuinely care. Both were super filling and cooked to perfection. Service was fantastic. Really, really nice people. We will definitely be back!

We went for dinner our first night in town. My husband wanted Ceviche and this was the only place that had it. He loved it. I am on a special diet after surgery and had a chicken quesadilla- phenomenal. Do yourself a favor and go to this place. Great service and friendly atmosphere.

This was recommended to us by some locals and we are sure glad it was! It was exactly what we were looking for. The burgers are delicious and cooked to your specifications. I extra appreciated the option to have a lettuce wrap instead of a bun. And even better was that they wrapped it in paper so it didn’t fall apart. Parm garlic fries were a nice addition. Perfect service. Friendly, helpful and genuine. We sat outside and our dog was allowed to be there too. The vibe is as good as the food. Just outstanding all around!

Can you really expect incredible food in a small town like Bishop, CA? If you eat at the Indiego you can and will. Do not let the unpretentious cafe-style exterior put you off. It's what's inside that you're here for. The menu is fairly large for a small restaurant, but I came for the burger. Amazing! Served by the friendly and efficient, Idalia. She made our visit special and fun. The chef, Fidel, made delicious food appear like magic in his tiny kitchen. Very cool to eavesdrop on this busy guy as he displayed his skills. In a few words... When in Bishop, get away from Main Street and enjoy yourself at the Indiego Tasting House.

Stopped here on our way to Mammoth mountain inn. I got the southwestern burger, Absolutely amazing 🤩, my boyfriend got the Anaheim burger, he says was delicious 😋. Service was excellent, the cook, even came out to see if we had any questions about the menu and both the host and cook were friendly and helpful. I recommend if you are driving by you should definitely make it a priority to stop for a bite to eat. Can Not wait to come again!!!!?

We had there Indiego cheese Burger and it was delicious. I was going to take a picture but couldn't stop eating. My husband asked to add. Jalapeño to his burger and the cook offered to grill a Jalapeño for him even though it was not on the menu. Staff are very welcoming and kind and make sure you are satisfied with your order.

Had the spinach apple walnut salad with pollo, very good. Nice staff

Had the Anaheim Burger (special that day) & it was great. Parmesan Fires were even better. Beer on tap is local & good!

Exceptional service, the manager filled our five gallon water jug, gave us free ice for our cooler, and a sample of the ceviche. Overall great food and service, would recommend to anyone passing through town.

Felt welcome before we sat down. From the service to the food, couldn’t have asked for more. Waiter guided our entree choices with knowledge and patience. In turn, we throughly enjoyed our fish tacos and wings. Two of our favorite dishes served as a 10! Wish we lived closer, but we will be back!!!

Habanero salsa is legit. Burgers are excellent and the ceviche de camarone was very fresh. They have beer from JLB as well. Easily the best burgers in Bishop especially the Caliente.

this place is a bit on the unique side heres why u dont expect to find a churro flavor IPA delicious by the way.. in here and they have it here.. i order a plane burger and i have to say. man it was delicious the waitress hooked us up with the chips and salsa wich needed a lil bit of salt but it was good.. the unique part comes from the owner beeing the cook and the cook is making sure his food is good and they both are verry attentive to u as a customer and u dont see that anymore so i have to say i would return to this place next time i find my self passing through bishop.

First stop here and what an awesome surprise. Service was spot on right from the get go! We split the Surf and Turf burrito and the special burger of the day which was a bacon burger with habanero jelly. First the burger, it was maybe one of the tastiest burgers I have had. All of the ingredients were fresh and burger cooked as ordered. If they have this when you go in give it a try you won't be disappointed. The Surf and Turf burrito is huge and stuffed with shrimp and meat with fresh ingredients inside as well. This is good to split and it is tasty! Give this place a shot if you are passing through you'll be happy with the stop!

It was amazing! Homemade Pico and Verde with chips were great. My husband and I both did the Guacamole Burger Special and it was not lacking in Guacamole at all, as so many other restaurants do. The Verde was awesome to drip on our burgers too. The fries were crispy, had a mild seasoning that wasn't overpowering and they were not too oily. Based on how good the rest of the food was I had to try their horchata and was glad I did. The local beers we chose and tasted were fantastic! Staff was very friendly and attentive. We are very glad we chose to eat there! We hid in the back corner of the patio because we are traveling with a dog. They brought him a bowl of water right away. We we're visiting the area to move our Grandpa and we were both way too tired and hungry to remember to take food pictures.

this is a great spot to stop and have a tasty meal! the place was clean, the staff is super friendly, and the food was yummy. we got a salad (which was very, very fresh) and a carnitas bowl. we left feeling satisfied and will definitely be back. BTW, get the sweet and spicy mimosa!

You will feel welcome here. The most friendly staff I've come across in a long time. The chef clearly puts love into his work. These people really want you to enjoy your meal and time in their restaurant. I highly recommend stopping here.

Stopped by Indiego House on a whim for lunch today and were so glad we did. The menu was creative; the food was fresh and very tasty; the service was friendly, efficient, and just plain happy. Go on your way to or from the slopes, or if you’re a local like us. You won’t be sorry!

Fidel and Christina made me feel like family from the second I walked in ubtil I left. The food was amazing. Best food I have had in Inyo county. Great selection of high quality flavorful beers that you won't find anywhere else. I will be coming here on a very regular basis. Unique and familiar flavors on the menu. Just wow. And deep fried cheesecake. Just sayin'

It is a relaxed atmosphere. Nothing fancy, but the delicious burgers and fish and chips made up for the lack of feng shui. The service was friendly.

The food, service, and atmosphere were all amazing! There were times where I couldn't stop laughing because of how hilarious the owner/operater was. Example : was asked for extra napkins and instead we got an entire paper towel roll!!!

After a long backpacking trip, nothing sounds better than a burger and a beer. We found Indiego after a quick google check and we’re so grateful we sound it. The burger, absolutely delicious and the service, even better! Highly recommend if you’re trekking out of the mountains and need a solid meal

This is the perfect little gem off of the 395. My dad and I stopped by after a long day of traveling and it was great! I got the fish tacos and my dad ordered the carnitas basket and both had so much flavor! The portions are good and the prices are reasonable. Also, 10/10 service by the owners! We felt so welcome and will definitely make sure to stop by again when we're in the area!

Will be back for more! We loved the outside seating - asked for margs but learned they serve wine and beer - no problem had a beer and ordered guac / salsa and chips to go. The owner sensing we were itching for tequila - recommended another spot. Who does that?! Only business owners who really care about people. Fast forward - now enjoying the guac, salsa and chips - we are undoubtedly returning for a deeper experience

All of the food served here is delicious, but the fish tacos are my favorite! Since Burger Barn closed, this is our go to place for burgers. Service is super friendly. Interior can use a makeover. Paper towel and soap dispensers in the bathroom were not working at the time of our recent visit.

We found the Indiego Tasting House online and we were happy that it is run by a San Diego chef and staff. The chef was super hospitable and friendly. It had a real family feel to it. The food was delicious, the restaurant was clean, and well managed. We highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.

Best burgers in Bishop hands-down. If you're lucky enough for them to have the Lobster salad special, then you can get the best salad in town too. Staff has always been super friendly even when they're busy.

Hey all you San Diegans and everyone in between...the next time you are driving up the 395 N through Bishop....or staying in Bishop for any reason...have a meal at Indiego! The food has such honestly good flavor, it's so refreshing! I had the grilled lobster salad and my husband had the surf and turf burrito...and they were fresh and delicious and just enough. The chips and salsa are fresh and the hot salsa.. yes, I would buy a jar if they had it available! We come to Bishop yearly and will always have a meal here. If you want fresh, delicious food and...you want to enjoy the company of the warm and welcoming owners, Indiego is the place to dine.

Excellent service and I really liked the smokiness of the burger. I had a Popeye's burger and I recommend it. Service was super attentive and I appreciate the experience. If you're passing through it's a great place to stop by.

Attentive service and decent food. Good selection of craft beers - more expensive than expected. We visited Indiego based on other reviews. We ordered Chips & Salsa with Mozzarella Sticks to start. The chips & salsa were good - the salsa in particular tasted home made. Mozzarella Sticks were made with Sargento String Cheese and tasted delicious. I also had two of their rotating craft beers which were nice. At $8 a pint they seemed expensive - there was also the option to buy bottles of Coors, Bud etc. For mains we had a Burrito and a Turkey Melt. The burrito was well received but I wasn't a huge fan of my turkey melt. I would have preferred sliced turkey rather than roast turkey as well as sandwich bread rather than a burger. However, this could just be personal preference. Our waitress was lovely. She was very attentive and asked loads of questions, chatted with us and even congratulated us on our wedding and Honeymoon. All up our meal was around $95 - tip included - which surprised us as during our three week trip to America this was our second most expensive dinner. Although the food and service were good we're not sure the experience matched up to the cost. A decent option in Bishop no doubt.

The owners greet you with a smile and you instantly know these are good people! Super clean place and perfect for when you are starving after a long hike because the portion size is excellent. We had the Surf and Turf burrito and the Burger with Mushrooms, both delicious. I liked the homemade salsas!

Phenomenal restaurant. Was just driving back home from San Diego to Reno, and was so happy that this restaurant was open until 8pm!!! Staff were incredibly friendly, and the complimentary chips and salsa were just the best I have had in my life. I wish I could have bought a glass bottle of their salsa to bring back home, it was that good. I had possibly the BEST fish tacos I have ever had, and that really was impressive after just having all kinds of tacos in San Diego. Every element of all of the food here was fantastic, and made with care. It felt like there was an attention to detail here that far surpasses that of 99.9% of restaurants. The fish was deliciously fresh, perfectly fried, accompanied by incredibly flavored sauces, and It seems like they make their own tortillas here as well as their own chips (because they taste amazing). Every element of my friend's burger they ordered was also delicious. In addition, the burger was cooked perfectly, with a beautiful red inside, with some remarkably high quality tasting burger meat and VERY fresh tasting, flavor-chocked toppings. I would recommend this place to anyone passing through Bishop, in addition to visiting the Erick Schat's Bakery as well.

Don't let the low-key vibe change your mind about coming here. This family owned-and-operated small business knows exactly what they are doing. The best, most caring service in memory. The food is phenomenal, very easy to taste the care they put into every meal. In our experience, the more interesting the item, the better the taste.

If you want the taste of a regular place in San Diego in Inyo stop in good fast service great food.
