What happened to the food here? Do they even cook anything or do they squeeze it out of a bag? Everything tastes like dirty frier oil. It is also really expensive. $10 for pickle chips? Instead of having 6 managers, why not have a more affordable menu?

I had drinks there several times, but not much food. Here's why: Pictured is the $10 fried pickle appetizer I got the last time I went. That’s 11 pickle slices for $10 plus tax and tip = $12.75 ($1.28 per piece of pickle) and they weren’t good at all. Definitely not house/fresh made. I’ve also tried the fish and chips (photo is by a different customer, Elissa Pally). The menu says dipped in “our Black and Tan beer batter”, but the three waaay-too-small fish sticks (not a larger single piece like everywhere else serves) definitely looked and tasted like they were from a freezer bag. Pretty much like Captain Ds, but much smaller pieces. There was a handful of fries. Nowhere near enough food for $18.50 (plus tax and tip = $23.59). Other than that, every time I’ve been, the floor has been so sticky that it’ll pull your flip-flops off. The bathroom is always unclean and smells of urine, too. And the last time I went, the urinal flush valve squirted a bunch of water that hit my shirt when I used it. Service is hit or miss. Sometimes good. Sometimes excruciatingly slow. This place is poorly-managed and serves overpriced low-quality food.

Mike was the live entertainment and he was awesome. He had everyone dancing and singing.

The food is pretty good, especially for a bar. They have good drink special like their $4 red ale, and $5 HH house wine.

The turkey reuben never fails to please, and the fish and chips are great, too. We got a slice of peanut butter pie to take home for dessert, also very good. That the Guiness was great should go without saying. Always service with a smile!

I want to paint a picture for you, imagine walking in and losing a flip flop while walking because the floor is so sticky..gross, almost walked out just because of that. They had live music which was why we stayed. That’s is pretty much where the excitement for our dinner ended. Our server was nice, however she did not explain what our meal included as the side. I noticed the French fries at another table when we walked in and they loooked appetizing so I was looking forward to that. When our food arrived the meal came with potato chips, so to my disappointment I asked to have French fries instead. No problem there. Our drinks were strong and the margarita was almost un drinkable because it was purely liquor. Some might enjoy that, but not for us. We will not be back.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, good drink specials, high prices. I felt the food, while good, was very overpriced for small portions. The chicken entree was good, but $18 for just two super thin breasts is not exactly something I’m going to run back for. Peanut butter dessert was terrific. Would be nice to see more friendly food prices and specials.

I REALLY didn’t want to write a review but I called 5 times with no one picking up the phone or voicemail box set up. My entire group of friends got HORRIBLE food poisoning here Tuesday 4/30 - we think it was the water or nachos as that was the only thing we all had. I DO NOT recommend going here. I believe they have a cleaning problem as not only did we get food poisoning but our table and the bathrooms were gross. The other Irish 31s seem to be better managed as I have been to the Hyde park location a ton of times. Do not eat here at all.

A little pricey for what we ate.

Last night around 6pm on a Friday I ordered two chicken Caesar wraps with fries to go. There were a few full tables but nothing a well practiced kitchen couldn’t easily handle. Not only did it take 40 full minutes but it cost $42 dollars BEFORE tip. For a good wrap, I’ll pay a good price. But there was not even 2 oz of chicken per wrap and maybe a handful of lettuce. They were so small for the price. Parking at John’s Pass is cheaper. A seafood tower at Caddy’s is cheaper. An entire bottle of good sparkling red wine at Vittorias is cheaper than those two caesar wraps. This is a neighborhood restaurant with tourist prices and the portions are insanely small. The bar staff was lovely and did their best. It’s so frustrating to live in the neighborhood and be priced out of a simple lunch or dinner.

The food way ok. The poor person working there was alone. Had to do everything!! I won't be back.

Quietly busy when we arrived around 7pm. Ordered a beer/martini. Had to ask 3 times and waited 20 mins to get drinks. Ordered food and received timely, ordered another round in the middle of dinner and after asking 3 times again and waiting 15 mins, I cancelled. I watched the bar from outside and it wasn't that busy. Not sure what the problem was, but to not get timely drinks in an Irish pub is inexcusable.

We were visiting, heard Justin Russell playing music. He was awesome! Food and service were great too.

Stopping in for after dinner drinks, we actually had fun play trivia. While we weren’t officially in the game it was fun to see if we knew the answers. A great neighborhood bar. We visited first lunch in January enjoying their Boxty and Fish and Chips.

Good place to go to watch various sports events. I went with a couple friends for one of the football play off games. I tried the jalapeno Moscow mule which was a nice twist on the drink and had fish and chips. Would go back

Mac bites were excellent. The shepherd's pie was good but there was more potato than filling and not enough gravy.

Great outside patio for dog owners. These folks are more powerful than a tall building. They are able to leap over a speeding bullet. No wait.....did I get this mixed up?

Love the food! The service and pleasantness of the bartender and servers are not great. This is not one occasion but multiple occasions. Last time we waited for 30 minutes for our check and the place was dead. We are always made to feel like we are bothering the staff. No one seems happy working there.

We had the Shepherd's Pie and it was excellent. The service was awesome, and the place is very nice and clean. I can't wait to go back.

Went here with my daughter and son in law. Excellent service and excellent food. Didn't get any pictures of the food. The beer variety was outstanding.

They poured a proper Guinness! Harder to find than you think in America.

This review is just for the sports on TV that are always playing when we come in here. If there’s a Tampa rays game on, it’s never on, or at least not on most of the TVs. Let’s go around the room and discuss what’s on TV: The WNBA (on 2 TV’s), FS1 racing news, 30 for 30 (which you can’t hear), the NHL Network news ( not NHL season yet and can’t hear the news), the history of the Dodgers) and The Rays ( on 2 TV’s not near us). The first thing a bar should do, especially a sports bar, is make sure relevant sports are on at all times. Just my opinion. PS: food is good and staff is great.

IT is simply an average place when it comes to food and service, but is a fun place to hang out with friends.

Our first order of wings were overdone but our concern was quickly addressed and the second order were delicious. Live entertainment was fabulous! We enjoyed her very much.

Just ordered a Black & Blue burger and on the menu it says the burgers come with pub chips. I asked for fries and she said it is an up charge…first of all, why are fries an up charge for a burger meal? Second, I was told I couldn’t get the pub chips now since I am getting the fries. This is unacceptable and wrong!

The food is soo good, the service was great, they also have live entertainment in the evenings. Located in a great area, its worth it to just sit outside and enjoy a good priced drink too

We absolutely loved our experience here! Super fun happy and very attentive waitress and bartender, we sat outside and really enjoyed it prices are great the food is off the hook! We just recently moved to the Tampa area from Gulf breeze and we are sure glad that we found this! We're new to Tampa and stumbled upon this gem while exploring our new area. We sat outdoors to take in the scenery. My whiskey glazed salmon was fantastic and hubby's pie of the shepherd was outstanding!! Love this place! I started going to the one in Seminole when I worked there and the Whiskey Salmon was what got me hooked! The whiskey chicken (which you see here) is just as amazing as well as the fish and chips (also pictured here). The staff here at West Chase is amazing and the food is always delicious!
