The baby got stung by a huge wasp nest at the tables near the playground. BEWARE!!! They will cut you off after 3 drinks and will serve water shots of vodka.

Worst experience ever extremely racist assumed I had a a fake ID and was extremely rude I would definitely not recommend this place if you're a person of color you will definitely feel like you don't belong by the way they treat you.and they need to be educated on what ID's are valid in the state of Texas extremely disappointing.

This place is amazing!! Tons of outdoor space and family friendly activities! Today they had a special event where you could buy tickets to walk around with and hold baby goats (heaven!). The drinks were great, the service was wonderful, and the live music was an added bonus. They have three stages (2 outdoor and 1 indoor). The last time we were here they didn’t have the large buildings. It is absolutely beautiful and they did such a wonderful job on it all! Highly recommend!!

I brought my husband for a pre-father’s day gift and he thoroughly enjoyed himself. Iron Wolf Ranch has such great space, friendly environment and dog friendly. The owners were extremely pleasant and friendly. We were able to get a tour of the distillery from one of the owners Jordan. He was so friendly down to earth and knowledgeable about their products. This was our first time trying out their brand and we definitely will be lifelong customers and we will be bringing friends and family back.

Loved their tasting, cocktails, friendly staff, and spacious grounds. Looking forward to having a bottle at home and returning for future events.

What a great place! Very laid back with a nice vibe and OUTSTANDING spirits. The signature bourbon is fantastic and the hot scotch butterscotch whiskey is amazing. Go to the food truck and get the nachos! Loaded with plenty of meat. If you're lucky they'll also have the bourbon bread pudding, which is simply delicious.

What a magical place to visit. Something to do for the whole family. They have live music, games, playground, open field and plenty of seating. And of course the food trucks are great and the drinks are very well made. The vibe is perfect. I can’t wait to go back.

What a beautiful space to sip on a tasty Giddy'up bloody Mary and take in the scenery. The gin was just as impressive.

We have enjoyed coming here before but today I am super unimpressed. I’m willing to pay a fair price for an alcoholic drink but this was a Shirley Temple!! $4.00 for that?? Give me a break Leaves an overall bad impression of the whole place , which is supposed to be family friendly, when they take advantage of you like that. There’s an awesome distillery/winery right up 71 🤷‍♀️ Edit after response: The zero drink was left by someone else at our table. I just grabbed it for size reference for the picture, so I’m not sure who you remember talking to. The young man who I paid should absolutely have told me that that was a refillable drink. I even commented that for $4 do I at least get the rest of the can of soda and he just gave me a pained look. Yes - I agree, if there are unlimited refills your pricing is fine, but if the customer is not told that by the bartender or cashier what good is the policy?

This is one of the best hidden treasures outside of Austin! Totally worth the drive from the city. It’s a beautiful location. It’s family friendly and pet friendly. Wonderful drinks served by happy staff…and kind owners that are always willing to stop for a chat. It continues to grow for more entertainment possibilities. It’s a total gem!

What an absolutely wonderful place to spend a day with friends and family. The property is beautiful, very kid friendly (jungle gym, space to run, big Jenga, giant beer pong with garbage cans and basketballs), food from the food truck was very good, great cocktails courtesy of Taryn,and the list goes on and on. My favorite part of our day at Iron Wolf was the time we spent with with Jordan and Glenda (2 of the owners). They were both generous with their time and seemed like genuinely decent people. We were all happy to support Glenda & Jordan and are pulling for their continued success and growth. I would be remiss if I didn't talk about the whiskey. I am very big into American whiskey, have a good sized collection (100+ bottles) and think I have a well tested pallet. I never had any Iron Wolf products before today and came away extremely impressed with their lineup of flavored whiskeys - hotscotch is going to be a staple on my bar going forward. The barrel aged rum and their gin were both stellar as well. I left their bourbon for last because I am very annoyed at myself for not trying it sooner. It's a 5 & half (close to 6 year) high rye bourbon at 90 proof that is absolutely fantastic. I wouldn't have guessed Texas whiskey. There is no Texas funk, no over tannic notes, just a well bodied vanilla oak bomb with a wonderful spicy finish. Jordan talked about their cycling of barrels through different environments and how they have tested control barrels against other aging methods and I am here to tell that work has paid off - I couldn't believe what I was drinking. Last note, they are big into live music at the distillery - they recently built an amphitheater on the property. If the good family vibes and drinks don't get you out to Iron Wolf, then go for the music. Lots of events were posted for the next few months including a big show benefiting the military coming up. Cannot wait to go back.

Very nice relaxing place to have a drink, get a bite to eat and play some games like corn hole, mega beer pong. There are things here for small kids too. Definitely will be returning.

Nice venue. Went on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't crowded. Wife and I had mixed drinks with the Bloody Mary edging out the Mojitos for the favorite. No band playing that day, but it has a nice set up for music events. Bit of a drive ( just past Spicewood) but worth the trip. Good relaxed place for families, groups, or couples.

The facilities and decor are great, and the drinks are excellent! The lines at the bar are long, due to every drink having to be mixed. I recommend they get additional serving stations for nice days.

Beautiful grounds. We FINALLY were able to make it during "open" hours. We got to meet Luna as well. The owners are sweet and spend time with their guests. We did the tasting and enjoyed their offerings. We visited again on Saturday morning and there was a nice pop up market we got to shop. Will definitely return!!

The grounds are beautiful. The drinks have a tasteful kick. The music forum could be scene and heard all over property and was delightful. I wish they had more staff and food trucks. The wait times of the lines for both and beverages were way to long. Everyone working there was gracious, there just was not enough of them.

Great place. We did some work for them to improve the experience for customers. The owners are good people and became friends. We installed pavers for them. It’s a great place to hang out in Spicewood.

It's been 3 years since I last visited Iron Wolf and they have made a bunch of outdoor improvements that make it even more of a place to spend time. But, they haven't done anything to improve the two main areas that make it a pain to spend time there. The biggest is the bottleneck in the serving area. There are a couple of single doors to go through and always a line in the room for anyone to be able to get a drink or buy a tasting. It sure seems they could open up a larger counter somewhere to make this a smoother process. They have plenty of space. The other is the limited restrooms. There's one restroom in the building and always a line there. They added two porta potties outside behind the food truck that no one knows about. If they are going to support crowds, they need more restroom and serving areas. 2023 --- Great place to hang out with friends and family. Good environment with lots of outdoor games and places to sit. The trash can pong game is fun. Some interesting whiskeys and liquors. The Hotscotch is very tasty with a sweet butterscotch start and a hot, peppery finish. Good variety of creative mixed drink choices. 2019

Loved the tasting and background on how Iron Wolf came to be and look forward to seeing the upcoming " upgrades" on their gorgeous Ranch!! We will be back!!

Very nice outdoor experience. Chairs, tables, and outdoor type games available. Everything is pleasant to the eye. It's obvious that attention has been paid to every last minute detail. The staff is excellent and very friendly. They regularly have a live band playing excellent music. No admission costs, and drinks are excellent and reasonably priced. The Iron Wolf brand, is simply Top Shelf.

Solid "mainstay" alcohols (e.g. Gin, Vodka, Rum, and Bourbon) as well as some very fun variations, like the hotscotch, a spicy, butterscotch variation on their bourbon.

Came out to this awesome place for my friends Bachelorette party and we are so glad we did. We had such a great time looking around and getting to try the spirits. The weather was great, the music, drinks and the pizza!!! The owner or manager was super sweet and welcoming. Overall it was great, they have a beautiful deck, games for children and plenty of seating. I definitely want to come back!

We rented a home to get away from the city for a long weekend. We were looking for something interesting to do and found Iron Wolf. We had a tasting and each spirit had a unique flavor or original process that made it very special. We walked out of there with 4 bottles and Bloody Mary mix.

My husband and I did the tasting and had some cocktails! Iron Wolf Ranch and distillery has great people and whiskey! It was nice just to sit and listen to music! The owners worked hard to get themselves where they are today to make great whiskey and place to relax and have fun.

Hotscotch - At first it appears that butterscotch whiskey is a bad idea. It is not, it is delicious.

Place was busy with all ages of people. Nice and friendly staff. Even though it was hot outside we sat under the huge oak tree and enjoyed the breeze, and the band, that kept it comfortable. I highly recommend the tastings as part of the experience. Really good products. Can't wait to see the completed expansion.

We went during memorial day weekend so they were very busy, but the service was great and the drinks were awesome! They had music, large checkers and cornhole. We purchased the horseradish vodka for our Bloody Marys and they turned out fantastic! We also purchased the bourbon and vodka. I'm not usually a bourbon drinker but this was sooo smooth.

My experience here was so bad, that I am sharing the review across multiple forums. I don’t need an apology. I just don’t want other families wasting their energy here. I am not the first to claim they have rude staff. See for yourself on Yelp. It's rare for me to take time out to write a bad review, in fact I always cringe when I read one. So, I will start with saying that this is my second visit to Iron Wolf Distillery with family. I liked it so much that we planned this return trip with in-laws, BILs, SIL, and kids too. We ordered a bunch of pizzas and wings from the food truck, but they don't sell drinks. Now, this is where the story gets a bit petty. I open a tab, order two mixed drinks and 3 sodas. I recalled from my first visit that the bartender pours the soda in a tiny plastic cup, keeps the open can of soda at the bar. This is Texas ya'll. We just drank all of our waters on the drive from the zoo in Johnson City. (No outside drinks allowed, anyway.) We could have eaten at a burger joint highly recommended from the staff at the zoo....n o p e. I wanted to show the fam IWD! So, I head back to the yard, tables under the trees in the Tx heat. I send my BIL, husband, and daughter to pick up more drinks for everyone else. They come back with teeny tiny cups, ice melting in the soda. No cans. When they asked for the full can, bartender gave them sass. Now, we ARE paying for the sodas. I wasn't requesting refills. I was ordering for the rest of us. Why bother with attitude? Why bother giving little cups of ice? Why were they so nice to me but rude to everyone else? Could it have been a skin color issue? They said, no. I called them out on their stinginess online. They tried to trivialize my complaint...instead of approaching the issue from a business resolution perspective. Rude, cheap people. To make a point, I'd like to mention that the previous visit I had charges from the food truck on the IWD property one month after our visit. I called them and notified them and they cleared it up, said it was glitch in their system. No big, $50-60 returned. So, I'm disappointed I gave Iron Wolf my time & my business. Fam members hated the experience because of how they were treated. Too bad cuz I like the ranch. However, I suggest driving past it, just further down the same road is a great vineyard.

This place is an awesome live venue with a lot of room to spread out and have fun and also good liquor. They make all their own stuff and it shows. The owner and his wife are also lovely people and the 2 times I've been there they talked to me without me having to go find them they are just that friendly.

Wow, wow, wow! One of the best distilleries I've ever been to. Their selection is awesome and I highly recommend doing a tasting and trying their wide variety of liquors. The patio and yard is family friendly and the yard games are a great addition. The owner was telling us about plans to expand and we want to come back and visit again once their new facilities are up and running! This is definitely worth stopping if you're in the area.

We bought part of our wedding party's gifts from Iron Wolf. All of their drinks are awesome. Great family-friendly place with music and food trucks. Can't wait to be back and return when their second building opens!

This is a great hangout for people of all ages. You can relax under the trees, do tastings, the children can play in the fenced playground, on-site food truck had great pizza & pizza rolls. The staff are incredibly nice. I lost a gold earring while there. One of the owners, Glenda, personally looked around for me, in an effort to find the earring. They care about their patrons. That goes far with me!

The Iron Wolf products are amazing. Love their Gin (always hard to find a gin I like, there’s is great!) their giddy’up vodka also makes great bloody Mary’s. All the drinks they craft on site are amazing and the pizza food truck we had was great. Plus they are dog friendly! Beautiful views here to enjoy as well.

This place is awesome and I never thought liquor tasting can be much better than wine tasting. They know their stuff and the flavours are wonderful and exciting. They have food trucks there and which makes it an easy get away place for a day time fun also. We had a great time for the Entrepreneurs meet up. Would recommend anytime!!

This distillery was a nice change of pace from wine tasting venues. The Saturday afternoon we visited included live music and food accompaniment from a CraigOs food truck. There is a decent amount of shaded seating as well as space for games like cornhole. It was comfortable on an October afternoon - I'm not sure I would have enjoyed it in July or August The alcohols are mostly unique and all were interesting in some way. They also have intriguing mixed drinks to enjoy.

Great place and venue with top notch spirits. My only suggestion would be, since it is a somewhat kid friendly space with a playground and large expanse for them run, is maybe offering a small selection of reasonably priced kid friendly drinks other than sodas/mixers?

Followed a billboard and some signs while taking an afternoon drive. Pleasantly surprised. The yard is huge with lots of outdoor seating, chairs easily moved under shady trees, live music, fresh cocktails, lemonades, and ice. Worth a stop if you're in the area. Peaceful views. Food truck if you're hungry.

My wife and I visited this past weekend. A great line of products, owned by a great group of people. The bourbon is my favorite, and my wife is looking for the vodka in stores. Plus, one of the coolest looking logos in the business!!

Yesterday, I decided to do a day trip to Spicewood today. It was first to Krause Springs then found out Iron Wolf would be open lunch time. After a refreshing morning at Krause Springs, we headed to Iron Wolf Ranch and Distillery for lunch and drinks. They have a wide variety of spirits with several award winning ones. Tiann was great in making our drinks! I had the New Fashion made with Hotscotch (a little sweet and spicy). My husband had the Luna-tic made with vodka and several fruit juices. We enjoyed the drinks while we waited for our lunch from Craigo's. We ordered the specialty pizza (sausage, pepperoni, green peppers, mushrooms and onions) and barbecue wings. Truly phenomenal pizza and wings! We also had the Giddy Up Mary with horseradish-infused vodka and Wild & Tea, an Arnold Palmer with bourbon. We'll have to come back another time for the tasting and meet Luna, a wolf adopted by the family (she's usually there on Fridays). Most Saturdays they have live music. Definitely check their calendar online.

Nice time at this local distillery. You can do a tour or just purchase the tasting package for a pretty good deal. Favorite must try the spicy whiskey. Food truck on site and beautiful view of the tree lined hills.

So the atmosphere was solid for adults and kids. Was able to get a liquor tasting and was blown away with the types. One star off for the wait time on tastings as there were a few vips that got to go before us and without warning.

Amazing distillery and wonderful people! One of the best bourbons I have had, by far the the best Gin (I really don’t like gin) and a mind blowing horseradish infused vodka for a truly exquisite Bloody Mary.
