We had a great visit this past Saturday. My husband and I relished every bite of their delectable raspberry vanilla sponge cake and strawberry rhubarb muffin. The cake was light and airy, the muffin a perfect balance of sweet and tart. I had a chai tea latte and my husband had a “German coffee” which is a version of affogato. Coffee and layers of vanilla ice cream. Great little cafe!

Wife and I came here for the first time and everything about it was amazing. Will definitely be back next time we come this way.

We checked their hours on their site on a Friday and it said they close at 4. We drove 20 minutes out of our way to go here and arrived at 3:10. They were closed. Ridiculous. Update your hours.

This shop is delightful and is a MUST stop! The owner is German and serves German iced coffee (affogato), German baked items such as plum cake and apple cake, and truly German homemade ice cream. The food and drinks are authentically German! The owner seemed herself and is delightful. The atmosphere is clean cute in vintage style.

Having lived abroad and visiting Berlin many, many times this place is the Real Deal! Wonderful owners who care about their ingredients and follow family recipes. Baked goods are exceptional and fresh. Can’t recommend enough.

I was so excited to try this spot for an early Sunday morning breakfast. The ingredients are fresh and homemade and reminded me of the family friendly nature of stores like Jugo Boss in Lighthouse Point. The small serving of ice cream was two small scoops , but just enough to be satisfying without increasing my waistline. I had a caramel blended coffee drink with whip cream and it phenomenal, although I enjoyed the whip cream even more than coffee. The breakfast sandwich was authentic and the croissant tasted freshly baked. All in all I rate this establishment a 5/5. I can’t wait to go again to try more of the gellatanous ice cream/gelato flavors. I would describe the ice cream as having the look of gelato, but the absolute perfection in blend of ice cream with extremely low ice content. It was very creamy extremely blended well and very good, made in house the way it’s supposed to be.

Best little coffee shop ever! My husband loved his Carmel machiatto so much that he said its better than any coffee elsewhere. We also got the avocado toast and it was delish! I cannot wait to go back.

I felt like we'd walked into a friend's place. The staff was so inviting and the seating is great. The ice cream is fabulous! Love that it's open for breakfast so we got to have it in the morning.

Ever since hurricane Ian swept the green cup away, Peter's German Cafe stepped up and renovated the space and settled in creating a warm and friendly environment to enjoy coffee, homemade ice cream or breakfast sandwich as well as many desserts to choose from. Desserts are made from scratch with classic German recipes. With the owners being from Germany, the recipes are authentic and gives you a taste of Germany. They have a nice outdoor seating area as well. Would recommend and will return!

My friend told me about Peter's and I stopped in the next time I was in Ft Myers. I was able to find short-term free parking on the street nearby. I got a small cup of ice cream to go and a slice of tiramasu to share with friends later. The German ice cream is more creamy and less icy than American ice cream. They have a variety of flavors to choose from but offer samples to help you decide. After trying the hazelnut, bourbon (NOT bourbon alcohol flavored) vanilla and Malaga (rum raisin) I decided to get amaretto and hazelnut. I would definitely get the hazelnut again but am interested in trying out some of their fruit flavors. The tiramasu cake was a hit with the liquid soared cake and fluffy frosted layers 10 out of 10 I would would get again. The staff was super friendly and informative. The space was clean and welcoming. There was dining inside, as well as out front and in a side courtyard.

I’m not from Florida but I go here often, I prefer this coffee shop because of its menu, locally roasted coffee and homemade ice cream are delicious. Also a good place to practice speaking German!

Absolutely delicious. We shared the lye roll egg sandwich. The roll is a pretzel butter croissant, I think. It’s a German specialty and so tasty and fluffy. We also shared the blueberry cake which had so much flavor and not too sweet. The coffee accompanying our food was also very good. Highly recommend a visit!

The food and coffee is FANTASTIC! We got gift boxes of their pastries for our clients as holiday gifts and just...wow. I'm surprised all of the boxes weren't hijacked by the deliverers because everything looked so scrumptious. A Peter's gift card was also one of the most fought over items at our white elephant gift exchange. This place is a hidden jewel--support them. Need ideas? Get the tiramisu cold brew. Sweet quiet little space. Beautiful outdoor seating available. The owner is just stellar. She makes valiant efforts to connect with every guest and follows up to ensure they're happy with their orders. Barista, Jackie, is always smiling and very friendly. Excellent customer service. The food is delicious. So glad we found this little gem. We've made it a part of our Saturday Routine.

I was looking for a local place for breakfast while I waited for my child and stumbled upon Peter’s. The avocado roast was flavourful and filling and my dirty chai latte was delicious. I got a muffin to go because it looked too good to leave in the case! The atmosphere is fun & inviting and the service was incredibly friendly. I will definitely be back and will bring as many people as possible! Next time, we get the ice cream.

Hands down the best dessert place in downtown Fort Myers. We have tasted the blueberry cake, the plum cake, the ice cream and German cheesecake. All were delish! Warm, friendly and clean. We love the atmosphere and courtyard.

We found this gem a few years ago while visiting Ft Myers. The ice cream is delicious but what kept us coming back is the coffee and baked goods. Not a hint of bitterness in the espresso, the cappuccino was properly composed and the cubano was delicious! The real star though are the house baked desserts, using German recipes from their homeland. The apple cake and blueberry cake are divine! The crumble on top perfectly crunchy and tender and not overly sweet. It was the perfect pairing with coffee. If we lived here we would be here every day! The new location is especially beautiful with brick walls, many large windows and beautiful patio seating. Throughly charming inside and out! Ceramic cups are available for in store dining which is an absolute must for us. We love this place!

The owner and employees are always very kind and welcoming. I have been in multiple times, and my order is always delicious. I love that the ice cream doesn't have too much sugar, and there are dairy free options!

What a lovely place 😍 Found this little gem by accident after running an errand Downtown Fort Myers. Stopped there for a late breakfast, early lunch. Had a salami sandwich, slice of cake and a cappuccino. Everything tasted excellent. Service was very pleasant and prices for Downtown rather reasonable. Before we left we also had to try a scoop of the homemade ice cream. Delicious! I'm glad we found Peter's Ice Cream and Coffeehouse.

Friendly people, delicious German style ice cream with many interesting flavors. Homemade cakes and pastries, we were given a sample of the German style cheese cake and apple crumb cake, both delicious. Comfortable indoor and outdoor seating with a friendly welcoming vibe.

So happy we stopped here for breakfast! Staff were great and helping me choose the lye triangle bread, spinach and onions for our breakfast sandwiches. Loved our chai latte and lemonade so much, we had to try the apple crumble cake right out the oven and man, did we walk away full, happy and ready to start our day!
