The half rack of ribs with a side dish of fried shrimp was delicious.

I had a catfish plate and my wife a spots plate. Both were excellent and the portions were plentiful! Highly recommended 👌

The restaurant is run by the owner, Joe, he is a great guy, friendly, he likes to talk and know if you liked the food, the staff is super cool, very friendly and they also like to talk...good food, excellent atmosphere and very friendly people...five stars

We looked up BBQ during a business trip. Stopped in to Joe’s and we were not let down. Met the owner himself who made us feel welcome. The food was Amazing!!! Fresh ribs so tender & juicy-meat fell right off the bones, great sweet potato fries, hush puppies. It was ALL Fresh & tasted great. Ladies in the kitchen kept checking on us, making sure we had more than enough! Thank you Joe…we will be back! ❤️❤️❤️

I am originally from NC. I have killed hogs, scalded them, and cut them up. I have cooked every part of a pig/hog that is cookable. My wife and I have traveled the world and Joe has the most magnificent ribs of any place we have eaten them. A Hawaiian Luau, or Chinese BBQ ribs in China or Tibet, can't match Joe's ribs. In our opinion, Joe prepares them to perfection. The best ever. If my wife would let me, I'd eat a lot more of them.

Great sea food to be in the middle of Maxton! The hamburger wasn't half bad either, but if you coming to try something go for the BBQ or the Seafood. Those are there main dishes in my option and you won't go wrong there. It can be packed at times so I would order ahead if possible. Though you can always choose to eat inside as the setting area is nice and can hold a few families.

Joe did not disappoint. The ribs fall right off the bones. An tasted amazing. The shrimp was good too. Excellent side items. I had the slaw an potatoe salad. Both home made an tested great. Coworker had the rib eye an it was cooked perfectly an seasoned to perfection. Highly recommend this place if you're ever in the area. Full an satisfied.

Joe's B-Q BBQ always has great food. The BBQ is outstanding, which is why I order it almost every week. The seafood is also great. I always enjoy the food no matter what I order.

Had a steak there and all my sides were delicious, my wife had Seafood and my little girl had a cheeseburger and they enjoyed their food as well.

It's good food but seems like you don't get enough food for what it's worth. Plus the wait time in to-go orders are crazy
