After landing in Fort Lauderdale from an early flight, we found this gem for breakfast. Well, it was a Saturday and our choice was confirmed by not only the tasty and fast breakfast, but by a lot of local sheriff deputies dining there too. You know they say, it’s usually a good place to eat if you see law enforcement cars. We had ham, eggs, grits, and toast. And It did not disappoint!

As you would expect an American breakfast. The place is run down and old fashioned which just adds an extra charm to everything else in the area that is new and luxurious. You go here for the good food and classic American service.

Don't miss this place!!! We had breakfast here. Our waitress, Kathleen, was a doll! I ordered the Belgian waffle with strawberries, bananas and blueberries (red, white and blue) with a scoop of ice cream on top. I also ordered a side of bacon. My husband ordered the country fried steak with home fries, eggs over easy, a buttered muffin and a side of 1 Pancake. We also ordered coffee and waters (one with ice and one without) with lemon. Kathleen was on top of it!!! Everything was as ordered and was amazing. Our coffees were topped off quickly and Kathleen was so sweet. We will definitely be back!!! Oh, and they have a cute little train engine that runs on a track overhead.

Joe’s was definitely worth a trip away from the beach! After asking a local where an affordable and good place to eat could be found away from the inflated pricing of A1A, we ended up eating here multiple times. The service was consistently quick and friendly, the food was amazing, and the toy train car that scuttled around overhead was a cute addition to the ambience. Also worth noting that two full meals with coffee for just about $30 out the door seemed like a steal (our hotel charged $33 for a hot buffet meal for one!)

Everytime I fly into Fort Lauderdale on an early flight or returning to the airport early to go home I stop and eat breakfast here. The food and hospitality is top tier!!!

I had rated 5 stars this place but it is not anymore the same place. They cook food many times (left from the day before) and taste awful specially chicken! It has happened too many times already so I put only two stars for food!

No,no,no went in walked out. We have a 4 lb Pomeranian puppy she is certified service they said she could come in but she had to be put in the floor I said that was not happening we walked out absolutely ridiculous given the overall cleanliness and view of the entire restaurant to Tell us we could not die there unless we had her on the floor was quite laughable. So to all pet owners / pet lovers this is not the place to go at all ...cuz Betty and Betty will say put the baby in the corner!! . See baby photo

Good food. Great service from the entire staff. Loved that the first booth had two mannequins we thought were people at first. Seating outside is great for cooler days. Overall, is now my favorite place for breakfast whenever I come visit southern Florida.

Breakfast place #1 around this area. it’s better than the competitor that has 10k reviews in many ways: - tastier food (ordered same food at both places) - portions are bigger - service is quicker - they have an outdoor place to sit - they quickly make the food. - better price for what we got I definitely recommend this breakfast place ⭐️

You can sit anywhere so no need to be seated. I sat down and got my typical coffee and water and it was your usual diner coffee. I got waited on quickly and my waiter was nice. I decided to go with an omelette and it was a lot bigger than I was anticipating. The eggs were the best part of my breakfast. The potatoes were cooked well and nice and crispy. I personally found the corned beef hash to be a little too salty for my liking. The fruit bowl was fine. It is a kitschy place on the inside and there is a lot going on but it's fun and could be a good spot to take your kids on a little breakfast treat on the weekend.

Friendly service, food was ok. However, the place needs a deep cleaning for sure.

The place was just okay. Not nearly as good as I had hoped given the reviews. I typically love the style of diner but this one just missed the mark for me. Corned beef hash was a little too burnt on the bottom and gave a bit of a bitter taste. Service was adequate not overly friendly but it was quick enough. The atmosphere itself is pretty typical to a diner. I know a lot gets made about the train running through the ceiling but honestly it simply one train car going in a circle and it's so high up that you really don't get to enjoy it. All in all I don't see any reason to come back

Best breakfast in Fort Lauderdale

A very normal place in general terms, the food was a little watery, the homelets, especially the house chips, nothing out of the ordinary, the service was normal and the atmosphere could be better.

Came in today at around 11 am. No wait. Restaurant was busy. Service awesome. Food was awesome. Prices good too. Overall would comeback again.

It's a basic cafe, Cuban coffee was good, soggy biscuits and gravy.

Went to this place today after having searched for a Diner near my hotel two days ago. It was a bit of a walk but sooooo worth it! The food was amazing, the atmosphere was great, loved how it was decorated and the overhead train was the cutest thing ever! The service was so great my kids and I were not expecting our food to be ready so soon. It caught us by surprise since we usually have to wait quite a while whenever we go to a diner. The waiter was a nice lady, the food was decently priced and best of all, it was tasty! I have only one day left in Fort Lauderdale and I am already lamenting the fact that I won’t have time to come to this place again! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

These were seriously the best pancakes i've ever had! The perfect quick stop, diner vibe - we ordered a ton of food and coffee and tea and the bill with tip still came out under $35. We were in and out in probably 30 or so minutes - they came with the food so quickly that I barely processed us ordering just a few minutes prior. Definitely making this a regular breakfast stop.

Great place, close walk from Aloft Hotel where we stayed prior to our cruise. The hotel does not have complementary breakfast so we walked here in about 10min. 222 special pictured was $10.

Always love to go to Joe's cand where and we love the service and the decorations always a train going around the room. They love to dress. Everything up for the food is good. You, he will love Joe's cafe.

Great all American cafe. We were tourists stopping by on way to a cruise on our first trip to Florida. This place made me watch to retire and be one of the regulars here.

We were here on vacation. We saw the reviews on Google and that's why we came. The food was really good and so was the service.

I experienced very kind servers, host and bussers while dining here and the patio atmosphere was lovely. The food, however, left quite a bit to be desired. I ordered an omelete with grits and bacon & mim. They used a very delicious bubbly. The bacon was also great but the rest was under seasoned and hard to eat. The omelette had huge pieces of tomato that were inedible and an overall taste of vinegar. The cheese in my omelette wasn't melted and had white growths on it. The grits were totally tasteless. I noticed many items were more expensive on the printed menu than shown online. The check out process was confusing as my server never returned to close the bill, you have to go back inside to pay. The bathroom was dirty and out of toilet paper. I was charged a 3% fee for using a card. For a single person paying over $40 for a subpar meal this place didn't leave the best of impressions. I did enjoy the kindness of the employees and the sunshine on the patio. I may come again to try some specials to cut down on the price. I hear the pancakes are good and may need to go that route next time.

This cozy diner is tucked away to the right of Publix. We just split a delicious 3 Meat Cheese Omelet with a mountain of potatoes and rye toast. Bottomless coffee. If the weather is as beautiful as it is today, eat outside on one of the covered tables. Awesome! Excellent service from Leslie.

Probably our favorite breakfast spot in Fort Lauderdale. We hail from "diner country" in the northeast. Joe's was recommended by a friend. We were a little skeptical of a diner in a shopping center, but Joe's delivers a very good breakfast at a fair price. It's become our non-diner diner.

Everything was great. Did notice that we were charged an additional $10 on our bill. Waitress did straighten it out. The table next to us also had additional charges. That, too, was fixed. I would go back.

I had to think about this review for some time the food and restaurant was good but our server crossed the line with me. I wanted to leave. She slammed coffee creamer down on the table, tossed our bill at us before we even received our food. I’m hoping she just had a bad day. her dreadful behavior truly affected our review

I visited Fort Lauderdale in January for a volleyball tournament. I ate breakfast at Joe’s Cafe since I start my day early. I had the French toast deluxe with sausage links and eggs. Breakfast was good and quick. I think the pancakes may have been better. The waitresses are so friendly and easy to talk to. I would recommend if you are in the area

Literally stumbled onto this place. It was so good. Had breakfast there 3 times when I was in Fort Lauderdale. If you are in Fort Lauderdale, find it, trust me you won't be disappointed.

Found this gem while visiting for a conference. The weather was beautiful so we sat outside in one of their little canopied tables. Our server was warm and welcoming. She gave us our space to chat and enjoy our meal, but was always nearby when needed. The food was wonderful!! My guests enjoyed their corned beef and hash and I had their country fried steak. We all shared a side of biscuits and gravy and agreed that was the best part of the meal. Make sure to get some when you visit.

Not sure what all the rave reviews are for. The food was average (and tepid) at best. The coffee was more like flavorless brown water. With only 1 waitress service was courteous but absent and slow.

It's not the best it's not the worst but it is fast the cooks have been working there for over a decade maybe two..there is a delightful toy train that sails across its rails above all of us dining inside it's just like those creepy dudes that still play with toys... if I were you I would go to this place and avoid Lester's which is down the road some on 84 although sometimes you'll have waitresses that are hormonal and take out there frustrations on you the food will satisfy say hi to Steve the new owner after his papa passed and left it to him he's a real character you'll love him

Simple divey breakfast spot. I go often. I love the wholesome staff and good food. They have an extensive menu, but I've settled into the Triple and the omelets. Food comes out pretty quickly and is always pretty darn good.
