Pizza looked old and tasted nasty ….like every other restaurant in Florida ,,;, Floridians cannot cook period!!!! Awesome state , love the water but the food here is nasty

Even after last couple of attempts (that weren’t the greatest) we tried to make this place work for us. Because this place was always our family favorite for many years but has declined over the past few years. Service and mainly the pizza. We got a large cheese as we always did with wings. We noticed it has considerably shrunk to more of a medium-small. It used to overflow on the pan it comes in. Now has inches missing all around and is equivalent to maybe a tortilla in thickness. At best. They charge you for a 32oz drink, but drinks are served in 20oz cups. Don’t dare ask for a to-go cup you’ll be paying another $3+ for that. Lady manger/owner is not professional. To say the least. Made a huge scene over a simple question I asked. Lost a family of customers. But by the looks of it we are just a few of many, judging by the most recent reviews. If you already had a bad experience here. Don’t think it will get better next time, it won’t. Trust the recent reviews from locals. They kept the name for the reason, to keep customers. But this is NOT the same business as this town once knew. All the consistent good reviews are from years ago when it was ran and operated by someone that knew what they were actually doing. New lady kept the name for a reason (wink). He made this place a staple in the town and she is tarnishing it and loosing customers by the day. Just read the reviews.

I chose to get a cheeseburger today for lunch. I only took a small bite and realized that something tasted very off. I explained to the waitress I could not possibly eat this burger. She took it back and another lady came out and was very rude about it. She stated there wasn’t anything wrong with the burger. She was welcome to take a bite, but didn’t. I explained again that something was off with this burger and I would not eat it. She said I would still be charged for it and that she would put it in a box to take home. I let her know she could do anything she wanted with it, but it would not go home with me. The waitress came back with a to go box with the burger in it and said she was told to bring it to me. I again explained that it would not be with me when I left. When we paid the bill (including this bad tasting burger) it was left on the table as promised. I still had a bad taste in my mouth when I got home an hour later and it took brushing my teeth and lots of mouth wash to get rid of it. As a result of the way we were treated by manager/owner??? The chance of us returning are slim. She made this whole experience very hostile and unpleasant. It could have been handled so much better. Seeing how they have answered other negative reviews, it don’t seem to matter much to them.

The biggest problem we have with this place is we observed an employee not wash his hands after using the restroom and then walk straight into the kitchen. I wish I could say it was one of the teenagers working there but unfortunately this was an older guy who should know better. Also, as others have mentioned, it’s not a welcoming environment. As you walk in, nobody says “hello” or even informs you whether you should order at the counter or have a seat. A large group of teenage boys were chitchatting and eyeballing us as we walked in but said nothing to us. I wasn’t sure if they were employees or just hanging out. It turns out they were the waitstaff… When I paid, the cashier was curt, bordering on rude.

first, I LOVE the food here and at the same time i believe the front of the house staff needs to work on being polite at the VERY least. Not a welcoming atmosphere at all. I’ve been a repeat customer of joeys for awhile now because the wings are great, but i’ve had enough of the attitude of the employees. No one greets you when you walk in, not even a hello, smile, or even a head nod. I used to work in the service industry so I always treat employees with respect and try to give them the benefit of the doubt but I’ve had multiple interactions with the girl at the front desk and time and time again she’s rude and short with you and she has no shame in rolling her eyes at you. I hope this is taken as a way to improve your business and not simply an attack. i would love to keep coming but decency is the least to be expected. If this is happening to me how many customers are also feeling this way?

Good good. So much better than Pizza Hut! Better value, better flavor!

Cheesesteak had a lot of meat which unfortunately was dripping from the grease and included someone's hair. Pretty much ruined my appetite and I won't be returning until they thoroughly clean the place and maybe brush up on their food handling practices.

Food was great! I ordered the pasta combo and it was the perfect amount of food and was delicious. The garlic knots dipped in the sauce was the best.

Pizza was very good, wings were very good. The waitstaff were so pleasant. Can't ask for better than that!

The history is more interesting than the food. THIS IS NOT NEE YORK PIZZA NOT EVEN CLOSE TO JERSEY OR PHILLY BARELY EDIBLE, SERIOUSLY I THINK THE HOMELESS WOULD TURN THIS PIZZA DOWN. JS . I hope the new owner gets a fair shot as a Florida girl who trained under a guy for the northeast New York and pennsy, WHOM APPARENTLY DIDN'T LEARN HOW TO MAKE PIZZA. AND THAT CHEESE PRODUCT IS IDK WHAT PROBABLY SAW DUST MOSTLY. But today the pizza just wasn't good. I would not go back. I was hoping to get another visit in but I always test the pizza first and this pizza failed. There really are no great pizza joints in the a joining counties sadly. They were nice and pleasant busy for a Sunday but I wasn't the only one with complaints today. I wish them the best I just won't be back.

It was not as good as I was told. Average pizza and salad. How can a restaurant not have take out cups? Wierd....

People should start tipping these drivers this food is so good we just moved here and didn't feel like cooking so we called Joey's alls I gotta say is we will be calling again for some more delicious food thank you 😊

I just ordered large pizza 🍕. Very Very delicious.

The servers were awesome, very attentive,kept our drinks full! But I have to say the pizza and knots were very disappointing, pizza was over cooked could barely cut it with knife and knots had no garlic taste at all . Maybe cook was having a off day .

Another messed up meal from Joey's. Seriously. Gave you a second chance. And you failed ! Unfortunately Pizza Heaven and Regal are closed on Monday's. Family wanted something Italian, we gave it a try. Shame on us !! Better yet. Shame on you Joey's.

It's a great place! Their wings are awesome. I just wish I could have had their pizza, as I am on a gluten-free regimen. Pizza was my favorite food! I've heard their pizza is great, though. The service and atmosphere was wonderful as well.

Food is the most Italian you'll find around here. Unfortunately. BUT, their customer service is terrible. They mess up your order with completely wrong pizza and forgot our extra sauce, again. Instead of making it right, they offer a store credit for the next order.... Why would we want to order from a place who does business like that. We even offered to drive the food back for a refund but they declined that as well. Save yourself the aggravation and go some where else.

We were welcomed by a friendly staff that told us to sit wherever we liked and promptly brought us menus and drink orders. Several very attentive staff members were working the dining room and keeping an eye on everyone to refill drinks and see if we needed anything. The food came out quick & hot! We had 1/2 order of garlic knots and it was huge order and delicious! We ordered a large Pizza and it was good! Just not the best I’ve ever had and that’s the only reason I gave the food a 4. But it was still a good fresh made pizza! The dining room was very clean and had an Italian pizzeria feel! Very nice little pizzeria! We will be back!

Joey's pizza is the best in Okeechobee. I love the crust and the sauce.

First time here for “New York Style Pizza”. It was simply disgusting with inferior/oily cheese. Several hours later I regretted eating it at all. Was distracted by child behind counter tossing a ball of dough against walls and ceiling for fun. Rough looking man walked out from behind counter that was trying to fix the fly on his pants. Didn't seem appropriate or proper hygiene. Waitress said they don't offer to-go drinks. I typically love trying hole in the wall pizza places but this was a regrettable visit

I ordered veal parm dinners they brought me shrimp i called and told them about the incident that happened they more then made up for it this place is awesome 👌

The greatest pizza in the world. Make sure you get a stromboli, it's a great place to go out to eat with family and friends or by yourself. Very clean and outstanding customer service.

This place knocks it out of the park! We ordered calamari, cheesy bread, and calzones. Everything was so delicious - homemade marinara, creamy ricotta, fresh ingredients. The staff consistently checked on us to make sure we were satisfied and had everything we needed. The cherry on top: 20% off because we dined in before the dinner rush. I can't say enough about this place - we will be back each time we are in town and will recommend it to everyone we know ❤️

Owner is an awesome guy great food and deserves your business

Ordered 2 slices w sausage, blk olives and mushrooms. What I received was 2 already cooked slices with the toppings put on top. The mushrooms were from a can (idc) butthey were not cooked. Like definitely not cooked. I called and spoke with Jenny (the manager, she answered the phone) and told her about the slices. She talked over me repeatedly saying they were put in the oven. I said maybe so but they weren't cooked and I can send her the photo I took or I can come down there but really I was wanting simply to let them know that's not cool and I was a first time customer. I wasn't worried about the cost of 2 slices of pizza but I did want to be a return customer because I have only heard rave reviews about the food. The food was meh but the attitude from the employee truly wasn't necessary. Again, I wasn't asking for a freebie or a refund. I won't spend my precious money there but only because of the managements bad , very unwelcoming, unprofessional attitude. She genuinely didn't seem to care at all to just be decent on a professional call. I have only made a few online reviews; all good. I believe accolades deserved should be given plus it helps the business. Ms Manager Jenny was so disrespectful that unfortunately I felt a negative review was the only way to maybe bring phone etiquette up to hopefully someone higher up than her. I don't think it should warrant any kind of punishment but again Hopefully a review on how to deal with customers on the phone.

Fantastic place for Delicious pizza, wings and stromboli. Generous portions reasonable prices.

We had a large meat lovers stromboli. And yes this made us full plus have leftovers to take to work. The atmosphere inside is nice smells good ( pizza).

Ordered a small cheese pizza, that was excellent. The sausage & pepper sub was ok. The sausage was spicy hot and hadn't any taste. Expected some type of cheese, none on the sandwich. I won't order this again.

Ya know when the food is as great as this one would wish the service would match. Had to ask for the check, didn't get drink refills, had to struggle to get our order taken. Just a bit frustrating

Every time I’ve called for my food to make an order I have been on hold for a greater than six minutes.

Service was great. Drinks were filled on que. I had the Xtra large supreme and sweet and sour wings. All was delicious.

This is probably the best restaurant in Okechobee

Joeys is way above better than the new pizza place Regal. We had the worst pizza a Regal and sorry we didn’t walk out and head to Joeys. 👍👍👍

We’ve gone here for years because there really is no other options and only when requested by someone else. The food is decent enough but not consistent. There is generally a wait that seems unwarranted at times. The restaurant is generally not clean. Floors and tables are sticky and walking past the kitchen makes my stomach turn. The staff is never friendly and always seems upset at each other. The food takes forever and does not come out at the same time and often is incorrect once you do get it. The last time we went in we waited over 1.5 hours to start getting food plates one by one. They were about 15 minutes spread out and left with 2 people at our table not ever receiving their food because the tickets were lost “somehow”. We’ve given up trying to wait for this place to get it right or get better.

Would have been 5 stars if the girl didn’t charge me $1.85 for a glass of water. Won’t return. Regret tipping on a single slice now too. Crazy.

Great place. Looking for great pizza very close to New York pizza. Delicious. Service was excellent.

We were driving back home and happened upon Joey's Supreme Pizza. As we were traveling with our 2 dogs we decided to eat outside on the tables provided. The waitress was very charming and quickly set our table and brought out Garlic Knots while waiting for our Pizza. The owner of a Doggie Boutique next door came out to give our dogs ice treats. It was a welcomed surprise. The Pizza came out nice and hot in a short amount of time. It was very very good. The service was excellent. The staff was attentive, came to check on us and made sure our needs were met. Every single person who came to eat were friendly and chatted with us before going in. It was such a lovely spot to sit, eat and just relax before going back home. Joey's is a definite yes for good Pizza, excellent service and wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Delivery the chicken tenders aren’t what I expected to be chicken tenders. No flavor & overall disappointing. It was flat pieces of chicken never seen chicken tenders that flat. ( I hope it was actually chicken) fries were soggy & not seasoned barely ate it would upload a picture but I threw it out & I’m ver upset I wasted my money on it.

The large ozza is really large, larger than most other pizza chains. The toppings are very generous compared to other pizza places.

Food was delicious and our waitress was super helpful and knowledgeable. Hadn't been to Joey's in years but I noticed they expanded the restaurant and the menu looks a lot better. I will be going back more often.

Wow! The food is all fresh and I'm guessing homemade!! Lasagna was OUTTA THIS WORLD !! Don'miss it if you're in Okeechobee! The calzone is so good you might want to order the large... But lemme tell ya', the all is enough for two! On second thought you could get the large and have lots of leftovers!! 👍 Great good!

Definitely one of the best pizza joints in lake Okeechobee area the calzones are very reasonably priced and big enough for two people the pizza also is a nice pizza with lots of cheese and pepperonis and mushroom I definitely enjoy going here

Had a family dinner here. My waiter was superb and very attentive. The food is phenomenal. My compliments to the Chef. I had the Chicken Parm with Spaghetti and garlic knots, loved it. I am not a big eater but I swelled every last bite.

Wow. Went to the pizza shop tonight. Waiting for food with a limited menu tonight and I look over and see a german cockroach, crawling up the window. Wish I would have taken a picture. When we told the waiter he did not believe us and said it was a fly. And did we want to move to a different table. Yuck. NO THANKS. I WILL NEVER ATTEMPT TO EAT THERE AGAIN.

Pedimos una pizza grande supreme, deliciosa, crujiente, con una buena cantidad de ingredientes, los panes de ajo son grandes, deliciosos, aunque para mi gusto le falta más tiempo en el horno. Ordenaría de nuevo la pizza para llevar a casa porque, algo que debieran mejorar es la limpieza del local, cambiar esos manteles de vinyl verdes por unos blancos de tela, lucirá más limpio y, limpiar/ordenar las fotos y cuadros que tienen de adorno, limpiar los pisos y, los asientos de igualmanera. Ojalá consideren mis sugerencias para que más clientes sigan disfrutando de su deliciosa pizza en su local.

First time trying this place. We ordered stromboli. I have to say they were great. The restaurant was packed and I can see why. Now I will have to try every item on the menu

Maybe it’s because this place is good for pizza but i ordered white clam sauce and it was just a pool of oil with canned clams thrown on top, disgusting. Also got the pasta combo and it was decent but i got one ravioli no joke…salads were disgusting lettuce was brown. garlic knots were the worst i think, tasted awful i would definitely not call them garlic knots… then they charge you 50 cents for a cup of ice and forget to give it to you then make you wait even more just for the ice…insane…never coming back… $25 for unedible food

Always great food. But I say and after 20 minutes had to go to counter to order dine in. So because of the long wait I said I'll take side salads dinner in, and the rest of my order to go. After 22 minutes I had to cancel the SIDE SALADS, because they ain't made it to the table yet..........???????

Best pizza I've had in a long time. And the best pizza I've had as leftovers the next day. I'll definitely go back

Only a couple booths ready when we walked into it but we had 3 different servers come and take our order. Ordered a SMALL stromboli and thing was about the size of my forearm, thing was gigantic!!!
