Fantastic meal and great service! We had not been here before but we have found a hidden gem! We had a party of 8 and every one of raved about the food. Chef and owner Erik personally came to the table to welcome us! My hubs who insists on only homemade meatballs loved these homemade ones which Erik says is his grandmothers recipe! I had the baked penne which was amazing, and one of our friends got the calzone. It was the biggest one I have ever seen! Definitely a new favorite spot for us. See you next time!

Just had a great lunch at Johnny C’s - hadn’t been there since previous owners as we’ve moved out of the area, but extremely glad we stopped! Staff was awesome, renovations look great! And, the pizza and garlic knots were outstanding and large portions! Will definitely be back when in the area!

We had no idea this place was here, but we're so glad that we found it. The chicken piccata was awesome and my wife loved her shrimp fra diavolo. Take the time to check Johnny C's out. You won't be disappointed.

Anna, our server, was great! The atmosphere was fantastic. Edit: I don't know how to reply to the owner below, so I added an edit here. Restaurant teams work really hard, and words can be damaging in public spaces. Anna was incredibly responsive to the issue, but it was not her fault. Sometimes a kitchen is in a rush. We had an otherwise great time.

I took my new neighbor from Buffalo NY here , who thoroughly enjoyed the meatballs appetizer and chicken piccata. I had my favorite lasagna and a couple of Stella beers each. The cannoli put it over the top! Great food, place and service!

First timers my boyfriend & I. We had the chicken parm. Little over cooked but still good in flavor. The Reese’s pie was 10/10. Katie was very attentive and answered the 101 questions my boyfriend had for her. We will be back to try the lasagna next.

7/3/24 First visit to celebrate a birthday. We ordered Mussels and fried mozzarella apps. Cheese pizza Yea babe pizza Chicken parm Every dish was delicious and perfectly cooked. The pizza crust was light, chewy, and crispy all at the same time. We were all impressed by the quality of the sausage on the pizza because it did not have the typical highly processed taste we are accustomed to finding on pizza. I did notice that it was the owner who was cooking all the food that night.

Went with my family and everyone was so nic. The chef came out and entertained our kids which was pretty awesome.

After chruch we went to Jonny C's for lunch. The food was exquisite and the service was exceptional. They went out of their way to get ice cream for my daughter, who is on a restrictive diet.(can't eat any solid foods) They went to the store and purchased ice cream. Kindness on a level that doesn't seem to exist. In today's world. Thanks again from the bottom of our 💕. God Bless!!!

When we walked up Erik was outside taking care of his herb garden! Talk about fresh ingredients! This place so clean, my husband and I will definatley be back. The food was so good, seeing it cooked right from our table was refreshing. Please keep doing what you do!

Fast and friendly. Ordered a cheese pizza and Garlic Parmigiana wings. All came piping hot and delicious. Highly recommend, especially dining in.

“Our firsts experience at Johnny C’s, food was great and at a very reasonable price. The restaurant was very nice and seemed well kept, the only minor blemish on our visit was that it seemed like the server that should have been to our table was a little more concerned with talking to her other guests then serving us, HOWEVER the hostess for the night Sydney (hope I’m spelling that right) definitely came to the rescue and made our experience great!” <- our first experience I’m happy to come back and edit my initial review and say that our next visit was great! Service was on point and our meals were delicious and kitchen times were still very quick even though they were much busier than the last time we came. Johnny C’s is definitely becoming one of our favorite local spots, we will definitely be coming back!

The grinder we ordered was tasty, but small. As well, for the size of sandwich, it should have been on a smaller plate to give the illusion that it’s ample. A small handful of chips and 8” roll. Price was relative however. Offer fries and put the grinder on a smaller dish. That will create perceived value. The pizza was delicious.

I have been here with my family several times and it has always been a wonderful experience! Starting with Ashlee’s excellent service you feel like being at home. The food is the best pasta we have tried in Florida! The outdoor sitting space is great to bring your pet😍🐾

A classy but relaxed atmosphere, versatile for family or date night, or a stop in for lunch. The service was fast, and beyond friendly, considerate, without overbearing. The freshness and flavors of your classic Italian favorites will deliver! The gelato bomb dessert was a flavor and texture experience not to be missed. I've had no other dessert like it, the perfect decadent summer treat!! Located at Cory Lakes, it was a lovely country drive from Temple Terrace, and well worth it.

Gluten free Staten Island pizza was amazing!!

I tried Johnny C's a couple of months back.The first time I ordered their meatball grinder. It was great lots of meatballs and loaded with cheese. The second time ventured out and tried their lasagna. Great proportion very tasty and it was spot on. Then I called in an order of lasagna to go. The portion was quarter the size and not fresh nor the same. I wanted to give the restaurant another try but this time I would dine in and order the Meatball grinder again. Very disappointed. For 10.95 two meatballs cut in half and very little cheese this time. The atmosphere was very blah. No music. No TV. No customers. Just pure silence. Staff all 4 not friendly at all. Weird vibes. I can say it will be my last visit to Johnny C's.. For two meatballs on bread and a soda for 16.00. Not including tip. Not worth it. Firehouse Subs and Capri's on cross creek still my Meatball sub go to. Do better Johnny C's cutting quality cuts customers.

All of the food was 10/10 amazing. So much flavor and very fresh. The ambiance was very date night and family friendly. The service was amazing, chef Eric was amazing to us.

We ordered here for the first time. I was so excited since I read good reviews about the penne Ala vodka sauce. And saw pictures. We bring home our food and this is what I got. I was sure it was a mistake so I called and front desk girl told me the chef said he did give me the correct sauce and that I was wrong. Also only gave me a meatball and a half for $17! The customer service was awful. Will not be returning unfortunately. This picture was from when I first opened it.

I always see this place on Yelp and it has great reviews so we decided to try it out. We came on a Tuesday night and it was empty. The hostess was very nice and sat us quickly and got our order in fast. This is a great date night/family meal place. Not too small but not too busy. We ordered the shrimp divolo and the shrimp parmigiana. Both were delicious and had great flavor!

My family and I were visiting from Ohio and wanted to try a local italian spot with outdoor dining. We absolutely loved the atmosphere of the restaurant and the food!!! The patio is comfortable and has greenery around to set up the aesthetic of the area! Our server, Katie, was super nice and attentive. Everything was brought out hot, fresh, amd quickly; you can definitely tell the food is home made. The portion size is perfect! I would love to come back whenever I visit again. Everything was just homey and you felt at place there!

Sydney is a great waitress very attentive, food was great and the canoli was even better!

First time at Johnny C’s and couldn’t recommend the meatball appetizer more! Delicious! Perfect blend of meat and cheese and topped with even more. We really enjoyed the Queens (Margherita) pizza, too!

Trust me, their Web site pizza pic’s are very deceiving. Ordered the Bronx and was anticipating the best but what we got was a Soggy crust, with way too much sauce (although tasty, I’ll give them that),and very few and sparse toppings.Actually I opted to have xtra cheese instead of the meatballs but honestly, I really couldn’t make out what toppings were what on it. Not sure where the ham, sausage, & pepperoni were or which one was what, And even though I said no meatballs, it looked like there were meatballs but then again, like I said,, I couldn’t tell what toppings were what, and $23 was waay to much for that hot mess. Honestly, frozen pizza would have been a Better choice. If you must eat pizza in this area, stick to Marco’s or even Domino’s or Pizza Hut where you would actually get PIZZA that has lots of ingredients, NON soggy crust, and value for your money. But of course, this is my opinion, & obviously everyone has different tastebuds and actually may enjoy this hot mess…..

First time tonight! We enjoyed the wings. We ordered the buffalo. I tasted a hint of garlic. Very delicious!! We also ordered the Brooklyn pie. Was amazing!! Thought we were taking some home. Nope! Finished it all!! Thanks so much for the fabulous food and amazing service! We’ll be back!!

If your looking for authentic italian taste it not it but maybe for a quick bite. I ordered the Shrimp alfredo it was ready in 10 min that alone let me know it not authentic. Sauce was plain needs more flavoring and bread Taste mushy and not well. And i did take out twice again and both times i did not get any utensils or anything.

We catered Johnny C’s for a lunch to honor our top 10% for the class at cypress creek high school. Not only did Chef Erik deliver the food himself, but he was punctual and professional! The food was absolutely delicious and we will definitely be using his restaurant in the future. We catered chicken Parmesan, pasta, salad, and breadsticks. The students all went for seconds. Thanks again, Erik!

I didn't have high expectations, usually a lot of pizza places claim to be the best but come up short. This place really blown me away, the pizza is phenomenal and the pizza crust...I never finish the crust, but I sure finished every slice here lol. I will definitely be back for more on my cheat days, so glad I found this gem. Please don't change the recipe!

Best pizza in New Tampa! You have to try their specialty pizza with vodka sauce, outstanding I like to add pepperoni to mine. The crust is to die for pasta dishes are outstanding also.

Shared a calamari appetizer with an amazing accompaniment of delicious banana peppers—chef’s kiss. Followed by a large pizza, cooked to perfection. Not a crust girl, but dunked those pieces in the marinara since they were still soft and chewy. Took our dessert to go, but can’t wait to come back again soon to see servers Sydney B. and Johnny W.

Best garlic knots we've ever had. So fresh and soft. Staten Island Pizza was amazing and creamy, wings fell off the bone and came out steaming hot. Our server was quick and friendly also and we didn't wait long for our food.

When you come here ask for Katie the best waitresses they have the food is great as well

It was our first time in Tampa and we decided to stop at johnnys c’s for our first meal! May I say they didn’t disappoint! The very was good and the staff was great! Espically the server Sydney! She took her time to answer all our questions! We will definitely be returning!

My husband and I were staying at the state park close by with our dog. We came here for dinner because dogs are welcome on their outside area. When we got there, the outside area had a large party in it, but the waiters came to our rescue! The waiter Nick and one of his coworkers went out of their way to set us up a table outside by pulling their cars around and blocking off the drive so we could still dine in! That was before the food even came out! We ended up getting a Hawaiian pizza, and it was delicious! The crust was to die for and the pizza was exactly what New York style pizza should be, nice and thin to where it is almost a fork and knife kinda slice! Nick was also so nice and took time to talk to us about the name and the history of the place. We will definitely be back when we are in the area!

It was my very first time at Johnnys. I came with my family to try the food and was really excited looking over the menu, seeing a lot of my favorite dishes from home. Not pictured: cheese pizza, and the Bronx. The queens took the cake. With thin crust and fresh mozzarella , topped with fresh basil. It was light and allowed me to indulge in the other pizzas. Katie was our server. Not only was she a great host, she was very attentive and time efficient. I would recommend this to anyone in the New Tampa area. 5 stars!!

We celebrated an early Valentines @ Johnny C’s—2/13/2024. The young hostess was “perfect.” She was so welcoming and willingly took pictures of us as we celebrated our 50th Valentines together. We also liked the choice of music—jazz. We had yummy garlic knots, Caesar salad, lasagna & baked penne. The portions were huge. We plan to have the rest of our order tonight. We topped it off with an Italian dessert (Tartufo Gelato Bomb) gelato with hot fudge sauce drizzled over it and whipped cream, chocolate morsels and a cherry on top. It was plenty for two people. We highly recommend this restaurant: yummy food, friendly service One suggestion would be to have a warmer area for us cold natured people🥶. But this did not hinder us from enjoying a wonderful evening out.

Quaint little place that was recommended to us by friends. Service was prompt and friendly. The brushetta and Mama's lasagna was some of the best I have ever tasted. Give this place a try ... you won't be disappointed!

Upon a recommendation our party of 11 ate here while on vacation. We were super impressed that the chef (and owner) came out to greet us. With the majority of the group being Italians we were very vocal on the expectations we had for the meal. None of us were disappointed and we all left very full and extremely happy. The meatballs were to die for and the eggplant parmesan was superb. Thank you Johnny C’s for a fantastic meal. We will definitely be eating there again next year when we are back in Tampa.
