This is a nice place for bikers. Friendly staff, nice selection of drinks. It's a pity they don't have any cake or pie and better coffee. Hey am Italian espresso machine guys! I was surprised by life music which was REALLY GOOD!

Best place for burgers 🍔 and the ride there is absolutely beautiful. All the employees are so friendly and happy to serve you.

We drove by on the way to the Lake Henshaw Cafe and saw a lot of motorcycles. On the way back home, we thought we would stop for a drink. My husband had a beer, and I had the hibiscus margarita that was recommended by the bar tender. The margarita was great. We didn't eat anything because we had already eaten, but I saw a lot of people ordering burgers or sandwiches with fries and some ordered salad. The food looked good. Staff was super friendly. They had live music, it was a lady and her guitar and she sung great. The vibe was very chill. It started raining when he were there which was nice and they have a lot of umbrellas and areas to cover from the rain. I would definitely come again for drinks and maybe try their food next time. Gave them a 4 out of 5 stars because I didn't try the food.

Hate to do this because I love this place. Live music, great location and usually good lunch! Yesterday I ordered a burger at about 1pm. The bartender did not ask me how I wanted it cooked. It came out pink edge to edge and dripping. Pretty gross but I drenched it in BBQ and ate it anyway... I'm not the type to return food you never know what the staff is gonna do to it (nothing personal I've worked in food service and you don't want to return food anywhere no matter how nice the place). 30 minutes later while riding back I had to puke. Today I have full on food poisoning. Regrettably your location, staff, atmosphere and live music are awesome but please.... cook your meat so that you don't get people sick. Or have fresh meat (difficult/impossible considering your location). There's no reason I should be sick today... don't get fancy and undercook stuff.

Great spot! A must stop if you're riding anywhere close

This go-to destination is a popular motorcycle stop. It's off of the historic riding route 76, near Lake Henshaw. Great place for a beer and a quick bite. The live music is always a great time, ranging from Country groups to Rock. When the whole block is packed with motorcycles, it's fun to check them all out like a mini motorcycle show.

Not a bad place to hang out. As they say with motorcycling, it’s about the journey, not the destination. Biker hangouts are pretty much the same. It’s the ride there that counts.

No one comes for the food....but its good. Got the BBQ...marginal at best. If you know bbq- don't get this, but other choices looked good. Mango Marg was excellent. Band was outstanding. Atmosphere is typical biker hangout - with a positive vibe. Great ride destination.

It’s a cool place! Stopped in our a ride. Like the atmosphere. Dog was a plus. Shy but love fries and burger. What a lil sweetheart. Bar tender was very friendly and helpful.

Saloons are supposed to be open at nighttime, fyi, like 10pm until sunrise. Midnight is when the action kicks off.

My go-too destination on backcountry rides! The staff is incredible, and live bands most weekends.

I've been to Josies Hideout several times. It has a great layed backed atmosphere! I rode up there two days ago from lakeside with a buddy of mine. I noticed a few different MCs. It was all good except for the cheeseburger and fries I had. The fries were greasy, soggy, and limp. The burger was a basic small burger with cheese,a very small piece of lettuce, and a small piece of tomato. It's definitely not worth $14. My buddy had a pulled pork sandwichwhich he said was OK. Fries had the same issue as mine. Maybe Josies acquired a new cook. Other times I've been there I had no problems with the food.

I've ridden past this place a handful of time and always wanted to stop. I finally got a chance to stop in and I was pleasantly surprised. Cool motorcycle bar and grill with great food and a decent selection of tap beers. The service was great. I'll be back without question.

Honestly a very rugged, out of the place location but filled with such a great crowd and live music on weekends. I was camping at Oak Grove and figured with the time change, a trip down for an early lunch here wouldn’t hurt. Nothing short of amazing. Blackened Chicken Club was amazing, along with a beer, only $20.00!! Good deal. Again, lively on weekends. Definitely worth visiting and avoiding the crowds down the road at Julian. Spacious, ample seating, what more can you ask for?

Set in the middle of the most beautiful roads you could ride. It's a good time saloon for sure. Can't wait to get back

Great selection of local beers. The music is great. French fries are maybe the best I've had in a long time. Maybe Consider removing the F___ Biden stickers. That sort of nastiness has no place in a hospitality business. You guys are way above that noise.

Great stop along CA-76 for drinks, food and entertainment. They usually have a live band on Saturday and Sunday. Barbwire was playing on Sunday when we stopped in.

I had such a great time working with Amber to DJ a wedding at Josie’s Hideout that I had to hop on here and write her a review. Amber was kind, easy to work with, organized, and helpful. I had a great time giving my clients an awesome wedding in such a unique and fun setting as Josie’s. This is a bar/restaurant with about the most limited menu you can imagine. There are NO GUEST ROOMS HERE.

Great pulled pork sandwich and the salad is the best I've had!

The place was pretty quiet today. Made for a nice relaxing time after a long ride. Service was fast and the food was pretty good. Definitely recommend if you’re out in the area.

This is a very nice, hideaway with a down to earth atmosphere. Craft beers on tap, and on weekends they almost always have a live band. Primarily a motorcycle destination: you can have fun looking at the other bikes parked in front. Nice people, good food. The food is okay - nothing to really set it apart - but you don’t come here for the food. However, if they really ramped up the food menu with some amazing dishes, this could be a destination restaurant.

Fun place to relax and have a drink.

Stopped here for a lunch break while out riding with my friend on a Saturday. It's a motorcycle rider friendly place with plenty of parking for motorcycles. There's indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating had a great live band on its stage. There's an outdoor area for relaxing and playing corn hole. There's a full bar, which we got a beer each with our lunch. We ordered at the bar, and received our food from the pick-up window when they were ready. We got the beef and smoked cheddar sausage, which was juicy and delicious. It came with a side of fries, which were good and crispy. It sits right off the state road, and is hard to miss unless you're speeding through. I would definitely come back and recommend others to come whenever they're riding the areas, or need a destination for a ride.

What a fun hidden gem! Stopped at Josie’s hideout after a fun weekend camping and hiking, it was the perfect way to finish up our weekend! Delicious food, yummy cocktails, and even live music! Gorgeous views overlooking the lake, and staff couldn’t have been more inviting. Definitely one of my favorite mountain bars!

Good music. plenty of tap beer choices and friendly staff. I had the cheeseburger and it was very good. Buddy had the chicken club and it was awesome looking. Kind of far away but that's the point.

I've driven by this place several times and wanted to stop, finally did! Nice and wide open, good amount of seating, tucked into the surrounding trees and hills, beautiful place to stop and listen to music (live or otherwise) while grabbing a drink and/or some food. They have a simple but good menu, full bar with a good amount of beers on tap, and they make a great tasting Bloody Mary. If you ride or like to look at different types or motorcycles, this is a popular stop. They have a fair amount of parking and are dog friendly too.

I've been going here for years. It's the coolest roadhouse ever. Show up on a Sunday and there's about a hundred bikes, Harley, sport bike, and everything in-between. Drinks are cheap, great live music, and the coolest people.

Order food & drinks at the bar, they'll call your name when it is ready. So popular be ready to share a table and make new friends. The journey getting there is part of the experience.

Ice Cold Beer. Great food. Plenty of Smiling faces and a good comversation place. If you haven't been, ya gotta try it. Great ride out here for lunch. Good luck parking a car.
