Not very friendly women at the window was rude. Food was okay.

Quiet, clean, relaxing place, good atmosphere, good food

We don't get out there often, but we always stop there when we are out that way! The food is great!! Everything we have had from there has been very good! But, we were surprised at how good the fish and fried shrimp were!! They were SO GOOD! Everyone eats there! We always run into multiple people that we know when we are there! They get busy, so get there early!!

I ordered the BBQ w/ slaw and TOTS. I CALLED THE ORDER IN AND IT'S ALWAYS READY WITH NO WAITING, AND I EVEN PURCHASED SOME JEWELRY THEY HAD FOR SALE AT THE WINDOW WHERE U PAY. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK JAY

There weren't many options near the cabin we were staying in. Chicken was a touch dry. Fries were good. Service was lackluster. It seemed like we were a bother to the person working the window. :( She opened the window to see if someone was there to pick up an order and then just shut it in our face without saying a word. We finally had to ask permission to be able to order. Bummer.

Stumbled onto this place, and it was absolutely amazing..doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food was definitely worth the trip.

This restaurant has great food may take a minute for the food to come but it's really good.

You short yourself if you don't stop at J's Hole In The Wall when you're in or passing through Bryant, Alabama! All 4 of us ordered completely different meals and we loved it all! The owners are the nicest people you'll ever meet. I'd give 10 stars if I could! 🙂

They close early and they don’t even talk to you

This place is way out there and worth it. We were on vacation from ohio and 1 thing on our list was "southern bbq" The staff--friendly,pleasant The food--hot,fresh,amazing and exactly what we asked for and was craving. We didn't have a long wait time and the dine in part is very clean. Atmosphere-- you can to go,eat in or sit outside and we found that to be a bonus perk.

Loved J's! We stopped here on a road trip for lunch and it was so delicious. The employees were so kind and attentive as well. If I'm ever back in the area I'll be stopping by again :)

It has been several years since my first visit here and this place did not disappoint. Last time I was here I had the patty melt (yummo). Today I had the bacon cheeseburger made just the way they serve it - oh my goodness - pinch me I'm dreaming!!! My husband had the pork plat with baked beans and fries - 3 words to say about this dish.... WON--DER--FUL!!!! the smoke flavor is on point the sauce is to perfection and the sides are exactly to par. We brought along our new neighbors and friends they had the mushroom burger and mushroom bacon cheeseburger both were just oohing and awing over them. They also ordered the fried mushrooms and said they were superb. If you are looking for a great place to eat STOP looking. Get in the car and go. The owner is super friendly a d the staff is 2nd to none.

Amazing service and the BEST burgers ever!!!! We really enjoyed it and the trip from Tennessee was so worth it.

Second time I’ve been there so I’m reviewing it. Worst service ever. First time waitress was completely rude. Second time when they don’t take cards. Dining room is small and Itself serve so there’s no wait staff really. I had to get my own drink when we sit there the first time. And then they acted upset about it because I had went through a doorway

Called at closing time. 3pm and they use eastern time instead of central, which they are in. Owner waited for us to pickup 30 minutes later. Food was good. $11 for entree, 2 sides, dessert and drink. Open Thu. thru Sun

We are visiting from out of town and got an order to go of catfish and shrimp, It was fantastic. Highly recommend this place

Great food, friendly staff, clean establishment, highly recommend checking them out! Their chicken tenders are delicious, Cajun fries, grilled ship pilaf dinner, salads, everything I have tried is knock your socks off tasty! You won't be disappointed!

Jay's is a great little place to get tasty food from wonderful people. Prices are reasonable, and staff are always friendly.

Burger was good. Mozzarella sticks were good. BBQ potato was good. Fried mushrooms were a little bland. Buffalo chicken tenders were fantastic. Boom boom shrimp was also delicious. Neighborhood dogs were an added bonus.

Best place in Bryant to get a burger, never had something from there that wasn't good.

It was out standing ,we had great service and very friendly,I will recomend your place anytime,and we'll be going back there a gain. We ordered a catfish plate and a sea food plate very enjoyable. Country and comfortable.

This a Great Place to stop off for a Burger and Super Fries! They have several Seafood options Fried, Grilled or Blackened- the Scallops are tiny tiny though... but the Catfish Filets are AMAZING- but for a Burger Joint its Sooo worth Going To!!

The food here is great, although I thought the portions were a little small. You have got to try the boom boom chicken!

I've slowly gone from a 5 star, to a 4, now to a 3. Bottom line is J's makes good quality food at reasonable prices, runs a clean little restaurant and they are always friendly. Unfortunately they often blow their estimated times on to-go orders by miles, the food cook quality is very inconsistent when they are busy, and they are a cash/check only shop (a minor inconvenience but worth noting). It's okay if you're busy and it will take an hour to make a to-go chicken tenders or a burger. The problem is when that simple 2 person order still isn't ready an hour and a half or more later. This has happened 2 out of my last 5 orders. Salt in wounds when a 90 minute old order has a smashed down extremely overcooked burger in it (especially when you know that their burgers are often great). In summary we love J's and will continue to visit often, we hope they address their growing pains because they make some of the best quality food in the area if you happen to roll the dice right.

Mighty fine eatin' place on Sand Mountain at Bryant. Some of the best seafood this side of the Atlantic. Friendly service, fine food. Well worth the drive!

The best hole in the wall restaurant in all of Northeast Alabama... The owners and staff are very friendly and the menu is unbelievable with the best Bar-B-Q, Seafood, burgers and more. Very family friendly eat in restaurant with take out available...

Wanted to visit Alabama, and needed to eat, this place was awesome. Pulled Pork was amazing, green beans were phenomenal (down home southern straight from the garden style). Had plenty enough seating for our family of 5. If you find yourself in the Northeast side of Alabama visiting Lookout Mountain area... take the 25-minute drive out to Alabama and have some ridiculously good barbecue w/ a side of southern hospitality.

Great food.... and having worked for the Health Department many years ago.....I really did like seeing an inspection score of 100...excellent! I highly recommend J's Hole In The Wall.

I just moved to the area and have now been to this restaurant 3 times. Never been disappointed Food is fresh, hot and the people are very nice. Only wish they were open all week.

Great Catfish Dinner! Top notch customer. The food was amazing. If you stay at the Grant Summit cabins or are just passing thru you must stop by.

Great place to eat. It's definitely worth not driving 15 miles to any other restaurant, only 1 mile from the Bryant, AL post office.

They have the best chicken fingers! Everything else there is great too.
