Not sure why this was very highly rated. Burgers were not seasoned at all. I found them to be bland. Never went back as there are many other options available. Meat was definitely fresh and liked the seating arrangement.

I have been coming here for years, and the burgers are always amazing. Big in size and great in quality, these burgers are still worth it! If the weather wasn't so hot, it would be an amazing place to sit down and eat. They have great tacos too!

kellys has a great burger at a great price, but other then that it's ok. it's outside so if it's hot or cold it's gonna suck. I don't know if they sold it or just hired new people to run it but I wasn't very happy with the service last time i went. they seemed annoyed that I was ordering food and it just didnt seem as clean as the past. I believe service is just as important as the food, but I will go back because it's a great burger. hopefully that won't change.

Everyone longing for a homemade burger feel outside your house should come here! These burgers are great! Tasty and not too greasy. Mom and pop shop serving a variety of different options of burgers. They also sell meats too. The chicken sandwich with jalapeños, cheese, sautéed mushrooms, mayo, ketchup, & avocado. Almost as good as the burger! Next time I want to try their tacos but it really is amazing they can sling quality sandwiches to your liking of doneness, multiple condiments and toppings. Will be back. Service is excellent.

It is an open-air place with tables with umbrellas outside but what delicious burgers they make. Come with your soft drink and your potatoes

You can choose to sit at their outside picnic tables or order to go. Burgers only have the option for bagged chips (not fries) and a can soda. They also offer their cut meats that your order thru phone. I haven't ordered the meat yet however next time we stop ill look into it more

UPDATE 2 - They added French fries and they did them right. Their lettuce wrap is one of the best. UPDATE- Still delicious and fresh !!! Very good burgers and the atmosphere is second to none! Today was better than previous visits. Always delicious and getting better.

Just another 5-star review for Kelly's... and well deserved! We pulled up to the stand, got out of the car, and we were greeted right away. We told them it was our first time here and she took the time to explain how things were cooked, what was included, the ingredients, and even showed us the meat before it was cooked fresh -- a quarter pound of meat per patty, pre-cooked weight. My wife ordered a lettuce wrapped "classic" burger with avocado. I ordered the "Cattleman" w/ bacon (double burger). Check out the fresh lettuce of my wife's burger... freshest lettuce wrap she's ever had. The burgers were juicy, and simply full of flavor. I wanted to try just the regular combo with chips and a Coke. But next time I'm gonna try the fries. The atmosphere was great out on the edge of the farm. The weather was also fantastic. If you haven't been out to the west side of Allen, you need to do so. A great place for a family burger night out.

This was a great destination close to home for us. My husband and I are doing a burger 🍔 tour as our date nights each month during 2024. This location was a great stop. Burgers were super delicious and very well seasoned. Veg was fresh! Bun was good but didn’t hold up.

NOTE: Online menu is not up to date including prices and options. Required chips and drink with burger order. Google maps listed an option of burger only for $8.5 but I was told this was not available; I took a coke and chips but did not consume them. Credit card will be taken and scanned by an employee. I recommend customers should be the only one to handle their credit card. Parking was in a dirt/grass lot. The two burgers I ordered for takeout were clearly labeled to determine their options. This burger was not as good tasting as previous orders so this review only reflects my last visit. Will update this review if called for after my next visit.

Finally tried this place after driving by it for 3 years and was not disappointed. Great little burger stand with good food and service.

Great stop for a very good burger. We've driven by the location for years, busy just recently got the chance to stop by and eat. The service was very quick and the staff was super polite. We really enjoyed the meal and look forward to returning.

This place is a total gem. Perfect smashed patties with amazing quality meat, cooked to perfection. If you ask nicely they will even add a healthy serving of chilli to your burger. Kelly's might not be OG like Keller's but easily deserves a spot in the Texas burger hall of fame. George Motz should plan to stop by on his next visit to the Dallas area 🤌

Great place to sit down and enjoy a tasty burger. This stand is family owned and the woman who took my order was very friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious... No fries here, but there is a selection of bagged chips and canned soda to drink.

After we found it, we really liked this burger. Was fresh, hot, and fast. Just wish they had fries. Other than that you're gonna love it.

Having heard about this place from several sources I have been wanting to check it out. I was able to order ahead via the website and that was great. When I got there as soon as I was walking towards the window I could already smell the burgers cooking and it smelled so good. My order wasn't totally ready, I was given a bag for drinks and chips. My order was ready a few minutes later, perfect as I rather wait a few minutes than the food have been wanting for me. The burger was great and I love the selection of toppings. I think the only thing I wish they had on the menu was fries. Even though they don't have fries, I recommend trying this place!

The burgers are grass fed, fresh, and taste SO good! We were even able to buy a pound of ground beef to take home which was awesome. Glad we decided to stop by, we will definitely be back. The service was quick and the woman taking our order was very friendly. Plenty of parking and seating as well. What a great spot!

Easily the best burger I have enjoyed. We stopped in after hearing from another patron and we're TOTALLY blown away. We happened to stop by with our dog and knowing the the meat was all fresh we were able to give her a nice treat as well. The food was all 100% crisp and fresh and absolutely delightful. We will be telling everyone we know about this fantastic little drive in.

Amazing “no frills” burger place. Just great tasting grass fed beef with fresh fix’ns! I was going to split the bacon cheese Cattlemen with my son, but it was so good he ate it all. Everything comes with a bag of chips and a can drink/bottle of water. Don’t skimp on the bacon! It’s delicious thick cut and crispy.

The burger was tasty, like most of the reviewers have mentioned. I ordered mine with extra pickles but unfortunately they went overboard with it. At the center of the burger, I was biting into pickles three slices thick. I would have picked out the extra slices but my hands were dirty. With this being a picnic experience, there was no place to wash hands.

I have been driving by this place for a few months and finally stopped. Burger was not bad, I would say mediocre, no fry’s and no tea! Not a bad place just not enough to make it a great burger place!

This place is just great. It gives you the picnic experience with great burgers, chips and a soda. I ordered the Kelly Classic with Bacon and it was delicious. If you go during summer it might get hot.

My burger was excellent - so much so that we ordered twice in one week but the first time was online and the second time was in person. I ordered the same thing each time and it will be my go to from now on bc you don’t mess with greatness (bbq bacon cheeseburger w grilled onions). The weather was nice the day we decided to eat there in person and we went in between lunch and dinner. The reason I’m not giving 5 stars is actually based on our in person experience. The first thing I noticed is that pricing is a little lower when you order online for some reason. As I ordered I also saw a sign in the window that said you can get a punch card if you like them on Facebook which I thought was great because I know we’ll eat here often. When I asked the employee about it after liking the business she told me that she didn’t have any. My last thing to nitpick is that it was a really nice sunny day out and only one table had an umbrella. Thankfully the man who was eating at that table finished as we ordered and we were able to sit and enjoy our food at that same table. When we left the next two people who came along sat at that same table so I think they should probably get at least one more umbrella out there as it gets nicer out. These are all small things but I noticed all of them and I think the loyalty one was probably the biggest miss for me. The difference in pricing was also a little weird but won’t keep us from ordering in person bc it’s not a huge difference but it is pricier at the truck. Anyway, still the best burgers we’ve had in a while and I’m happy to keep going back!!

Fantastic burgers, rustic outside seating which is fine unless it happens to be a windy day then you are tasked with eating and holding onto your utensils and paper plates. But it's all part of the ambience, so yeah great go for it.

Eating at Kelly's Family Farm Burger Stand, I think back upon the memories of my childhood, I clearly recall a specific winter afternoon at my grandmother’s house. It is an especially cold day, I remember. I am dressed in two pairs of thick socks, two sweatshirts, a heavy winter coat, and my bright pink rain boots. I am nine years old, and to me, winter snow is pure magic. As I step out onto my grandmother’s back porch, I remember losing my breath, not only from the bitter cold, but also from the captivating scene. I am immediately taken aback by the view. The entire ground, as far as my eyes can see, is coated in a hefty blanket of solid white. The light seems to dance atop the snow, making it glitter wherever the sun shines.

Excellent staff. The food was delicious! The burger is juicy and filling. I ordered a double and I am usually hard to fill, but I left satiated. My wife ordered a single and she was full fast. Great deal considering how expensive food is these days and the great quality beef you get.

First time to visit this place after hearing rave reviews on it and I was not disappointed!! We all had the bacon cheese burger with various "fixins" as they call it. The bacon was LOADED on the FRESH HOT burger. Bun was also hot which was a awesome. I had jalapeno, lettuce, cheese, and pickles and they were all very very fresh!! Well worth the short trip to Lucas. Can't wait to go back!!

Every time I’m in Lucas Texas and I’m hungry for a burger I go out of my way to get Kelly’s family burgers! You get to eat outside on picnic tables, to really enjoy that Texas nature. Instead of french fries I believe they only offer chips…
