Come here if you are looking for outstanding baked goods! The whoopie pies here are phenomenal (I usually don't like whoopie pies much but these are outstanding). I can also highly recommend the custom cakes. I ordered a spice cake with cream cheese frosting for a special event and it was absolutely delicious and it looked beautiful too. The other food is fine - I have had some great sandwiches and some just okay sandwiches. Loss of one star because I had to call multiple times to order the cake (no one returned my messages) and one star because there is no indoor or covered seating. But I do recommend this place, especially the baked goods are 10/10!

Literally perfect. Gorgeous gardens. Delicious foods. Delightful atmosphere.

The manager lies in response to the customer reviews. They made up an entire scenario that didn't happen and won't fix it.

1. The lobster sandwich was simple but good, with a generous portion of lobster. Would recommend. 2. The blueberry lemon whoopie pie was delicious—moist, not overly sweet, and with a perfect cream-to-cake ratio. Highly recommended. 3. The pesto chicken sandwich was disappointing. The chicken tasted boiled rather than roasted and was flavorless despite being covered in plenty of pesto. Not recommended. Cashier was welcoming and had a great attitude.

Drove by many times and noticed there's always a full lot. So stopped in finally. Got a couple woopie pies. Very good.

Limited menu, but great quality sandwiches with fresh ingredients. Service always seems to be slow, probably because I visit at peak hours? There's an attached gift shop, with unique items to browse while waiting. The shop also sells beer, wine, and ice cream.

I would always stop on my way after visiting with my client. I am so glad I stopped. I loooooooooove this little cafe and bakery! It is SO CUTE and primitive. The food is amazing (positions, flavor, quality), the staff is amazing (friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive), and the environment is amazing. They have a cute little seating area out back, lots of parking, and lots of gift items. They sell candy, chips, smoothies, sandwiches, salads, candles, trinkets, and other goods. Every corner you turn, there is something even more cute!! Seriously, check it out!!!

The Bakery ... Opens... at EIGHT AM. Think about that. So if you're on your way to the office and want to pick up a bunch of goodies for work mates on the way in .. Forget it. It's not personally upsetting to me, as there are always other establishments who want the revenue from early risers. But if you're looking for a spot where they don't value sleeping in.. This is not it. I can't honestly speak to service or atmosphere.. because I never got to experience it.

While the employees were amazing and made my strawberry banana smoothie with peanut butter, I never got it because the manager decided I wasn't allowed to have the peanut butter. The workers were forced to serve only a strawberry banana smoothie. Because I'm not a toddler and won't be treated like one, I won't be back to this establishment. If you have any food item changes you may like id recommend not going here.

This is the perfect lunch place to hangout and just enjoy life. The food is SO fresh and made perfectly! The service is quick and you are sure to know your order is right. The baked goods here are so delicious! My favorite thing to do on a Sunday afternoon is grab a chicken bacon ranch wrap, a classic whoopie pie and sit at hackers hill preserve!

This cute little place is amazing. Their baked goods are so delicious. The breakfast sandwich is fresh and tasty. We LOVE Kindred and are so grateful to have a local spot for lazy Sunday mornings.

So for the first time when I went here I got a Harrison, A. Fruity pebbles cheesecake with whipped cream and frosting, and an Éclair sandwich. The Harrison was so good. I wanted to just sample it when I was sitting on their porch but it ended up turning into me eating half of it. The atmosphere wasn't too bad. You get a good side street view where you can people watch because it's right across from the gas station. Do you wish there could be a couple big plants on the porch as well to kind of give a little bit of privacy to the people who sit on the porch. The porch and inside are wheel chair accessable. The inside is really cozy. They got a pole and snack display. That's kind of in the middle of where the workers and the people who would sit down inside would be so it gives you lots of privacy and the layout is very welcoming and helps you move fluently through the circular walkways inside. Kid friendly environment even saw someone with a baby and a dad with 2 kids. I went here a second time with a friend and got the Norway sandwich. They were unfortunately out of chicken cutlets which are in the Harrison burger but I will be going back for the Harrison again! But the Norway I feel is not quite as good as the Harrison but they do not slack on giving you lettuce and it's a three stack Sandwich. Recommended for lettuce lovers!

My favorite there is a vegetarian Italian on a briosh bun. If you have a sweet tooth this is the place to go!

This is a cute little shop. They have hot and cold sandwiches, baked goods, drinks, chips, prepackaged meals, and little gifts. They also sell alcohol. We stopped here while in the area and were so excited to try it. We waited about 15 minutes until it was ready. It was cold so we waited in our car but they do have plentiful seating options outside. We got the chicken BBQ panini and chicken salad sandwich. The panini was flavorful but the chicken was very chewy. The chicken salad sandwich was mediocre as well. HOWEVER, everyone should stop here because the absolute star of the show was the butterfinger whoopie pie. Absolute best whoopie pie in all of Maine! I have tried so many and generally don’t enjoy them but I could have a dozen of these. You will not want to stop eating them!

I absolutely love this place!, they have phenomenal food and service! Would definitely have to recommend. Just be sure you have time to kill because it can take some time for your food but it’s definitely worth the wait

You must go here. I have never gotten anything that was not phenomenal. It was the sweets that drew me in - the whoopie pies, cookies, brownies, cake pops are all fantastic. Then I tried the sandwiches - delicious! Most recently I tried their pizza, and it was amazing! I could not get over how big it was. A large would feed my whole family - and I have two growing boys, so that's saying something. It was definitely worth the price!

Food is very fresh and delicious. I love the chicken bacon ranch wraps! They have the best brownies!

I recently ordered three dozen whoppie pies and a carrot cake for my Daughters party and it was fantastic 😍. Everyone raved about both but especially the carrot cake 🎂 Thank you so much Kindered farm for helping me make it a wonderful party 🥳

Stopped here on a whim just driving by, and SO glad we did! Without a doubt, the best Whoopie pie I’ve had in my entire life. It was unreal, and I regret not buying a bunch to take home and share with others….or keep for myself! The sandwiches were also solid and very reasonably priced, decent enough coffee, and a really cute shop selling some locally made goods, wine, and produce. If you’re in the area, it’s a must-go.

Great little sandwich shop with other bakery treats and coffee. Attentive and friendly staff. The inside is small but there is outdoor seating available. My only complaint is that there was no chicken salad left when I got there and I think that may have happened to me the last time I was there as well. My turkey/cheese was still tasty though.

The hot sandwiches are just okay. The Reuben for example needed more of the dressing. The pesto panini was very bland also. The breakfast sandwiches are better.

Best deli sandwiches around ! Staff is excellent and friendly. Highly recommended!!!

Great stop for lunch driving through Maine

8/5/2023 - Google just asked me to update my review, and I am here to say that Kindred Farms in Casco is still absolutely amazing. Whether it's breakfast sandwiches, or lunch or that mid-day iced coffee break, Kindred has it all. They have a great thing going, and really hope they stick around for awhile. Love the selection of baked goods! Cannot believe the size of the muffins 😯 They're HUGE! I was also pleased to see that Kindred carries other things like chicken pot pies and other things that are helpful to grab on the way home for dinner. What a sweet little place. Will be back!

Really exceptional sandwiches made fresh. More treats than you should eat and every one of them looks so good. It's a long drive for us, but worth it every time! Outdoor picnic table seating is great in summer. Pictured are the amazing lobster roll and a chicken salad on rye. Both got "yums"! Almost forgot to mention the staff - nice crew of young kids who all hustle for you.

Love this little bakery. You can get breakfast sandwiches, lunch items or baked goods. I find myself stopping for picnic lunch items on my way to the Gray wildlife park. Also... hit up whoopie pie Wednesdays at least once, you won't regret it!

This place is where I want my ashes scattered. Every time I think I have had the best thing I’ve ever eaten off of their menu I have something else and then it becomes the new best thing I have ever eaten. I open the box of whatever glorious sandwich I have ordered and the light of heaven streams forth from it. When I tasted the whoopie pies I think I had a small orgasm. I would probably sacrifice someone I love for their coffee. I’ve spent many an hour in bougie, expensive cafe-bakeries and not only is this neither bougie nor expensive it is far, FAR better than any other cafe-bakery I have had the pleasure of eating a meal. I want to take everyone I love to this place and I hope that everyone I don’t like will never have the experience of something so wonderful as kindred farms. I love you, kindred farms.

Very cool country bakery serving up healthy, delicious food. Their breakfast paninis are fantastic while the muffins and whoopie pies just melt in your mouth. I got a fresh, buttered lobster roll that was so good and totally unexpected! There are local treats for sale such as produce, popcorn, honey.... What a great find!

I spent a week with family in the area and we stopped at Kindred Farms several times. We had sandwiches as well as whoopie pies. Everything was delicious. We also bought fresh produce and some nice microbrew beverages.

Excellent bakery, in a pretty setting. Of course they specialize in those Maine classics whoopie pies, and blueberry pies. The blueberry pie was delicious. It was perfectly made, not too sweet, and with a great crust.

A great place to get homemade muffins & other delights. Very personable staff .

We ordered a dozen mini whoopie pies and an 8" carrot cake from Kindred Farms and WOW it was excellent. The cake was so moist and had such a nice spic-filled flavor. The cream cheese frosting was rich, delicious, and plentiful! If you don't like frosting, you can just take some out and share it with someone else because they will surely eat it. The pickup was easy and cake was reasonably priced. I would definitely order a cake here again!

Best whoopie pies in the Northeast!! We went back several times. Place felt like a small country store with a bakery and panni sandwich shop on the side. Panni sandwiches were good but bread a little tough. Recommend Caprese sandwich instead of turkey.

Really good Keto rolls. Excellent desserts including whoopie pies. Fast service. ocal specialties also for sale.

We got the Greek pizza for lunch today! It was totally worth the wait because of the thickness of the crust. So good and a large will be enough for lunch and dinner 🤪. We will definitely be going back again.

Fantastic stop. Food was excellent staff was friendly and helpful and the baked goods looked amazing! We did not partake any of the sweets but will be back for sure. Worth the wait and the detour!

Great lunch specials Monday - Wednesday, but the highlight was definitely Whoopie Pie Wednesdays! So many fresh pies that are large with great fillings. Kept coming back for more!

Best chicken bacon ranch pizza we have ever had! Loaded with chicken. Got a large and even our teenage grandson could only eat one of the eight sections.

3.99 for a Whoopi pie..so get ready to choose a few!! We had the pulled pork special and Italian sub. Both were excellent. You order at the counter and all the food is wrapped to go. Outside are a bunch of picnic tables for seating. Inside also has a cute shop with many local treats.

Lovely little spot for brunch, sandwiches, wraps, baked goods and more. The staff is kind and quick. No seating inside, but it seemed like outside seating is an option on a sunny day. Incredible fresh food.

Such a pleasant surprise to come across on my little drive. Stop in for a bite to eat and take some sweet treats with you. They have a coffee and tea bar where you can create the flavor you so desire. They even have a whole room dedicated to cute gift items made by local crafters. Definitely a must stop!

Nearly drove past so glad we stopped, extra friendly staff. The cafe was very cute with outdoor seating. Ordered lunch sandwiches, they were delicious and generous! Coffee selection was great, baked goods were freshly baked and sad couldn’t try them all! A must if your driving by. Couldn’t beat the prices as a family of 4.

Delicious! We ordered sandwiches and cheesecake for dessert. They have vegetarian options but were accommodating for my request to adjust another menu item. My mum told the woman we ordered from that we were celebrating a special occasion and we found an extra slice of cheese cake when we picked up the order! Between the kind staff and wonderful food, I will absolutely be back.
