Just left Klein’s, was my second experience here at the joint and let me tell you what an amazing place. I was served by a really nice woman named Carolyn who was just a pleasure. She couldn’t have been nicer and charismatic she made sure to make a personal connection with me and the party I was accompanying. Another girl Caitlin who also worked was really pleasant. I was fortunate enough to talk to her before eating and she made me and my group laugh and ultimately feel comfortable. Overall great place the food was excellent and Carolyn even shared a bit of knowledge about the trains that pass by which made the entire experience a bit more wholesome. 5 Stars boy oh boy am I full!!

This place is the absolute best, lots of great restaurants in Belmar but Kleins is the pinnacle.

Had an amazing lunch—Conor, our waiter, was fantastic. I ordered a dish he created—scallops, linguini, spinach and vodka sauce. The entire table loved it. Kleins—put it on the menu! Great food, great service, great view. What else do you need?

Overpriced and under seasoned.. everything was bland, at best.. they ruined my sons lobster he ordered. Lots of people from the area recommended the restaurant, but i guess they dont use seasoning in their cooking either if they like this place. Definitely will not return..

Awesome lobster roll and great fresh fish

This was our first visit to Klein's Fish Market Restaurant, which was highly recommended. Unfortunately, it will likely be a one and done experience. Our visit was on Sunday, 8/25/24, after a beautiful beach day. The wait was about 45 mins, a little longer than preferred. While waiting I went to the bar for drinks and was ignored by the bartender for 10-15 minutes before being served. Our table was called and we came promptly to be seated, but our table was mistakenly given to the family in front of us, so we had to wait longer to be seated at a less comfortable table. To top everything off I had the 1.25 steamed split lobster which was served NOT cleaned, (green/gray muck) wasn't cleaned out). I removed the muck and ate my lobster, but paid the price by being sick in the bathroom for an hour and a half that night. The only good thing I can say is the waitresses who served us was very nice, served us well and the band sounded good.

If you enjoy good seafood with a great water view --- and who doesn't? Then you will love Klein's of Belmar. I had a very tasty Crab Cake Sandwich with Crispy Waffle Fries and a cold one. Perfect!! On a return visit today, I opted for a cold Lobster Roll, once again, with those addictive Waffle Fries. Yum!

Great lunch Tuna tataki was great!, sushi was great and lobster roll was amazing! Overall what a nice experience, Alice our server was wonderful!

Good food! Service good. Sweet Lord, the older yacht rock is killing the vibe. I’m GenX and it’s waaaaaaaayyyyyy too much. Talked to bartender and waiter who both said, independently of one another, that this is such a common complaint and that management doesn’t listen. My kids laughed as they said, “Grandma is the Karen, Dad, not you!” And yet, here we are!! I even called the hostess desk while eating after talking to the remaining 5 bar patrons (who were older than me at 51!) and 4 older tables. All agreed that the music was painful and then I was hung up on twice when asked to talk to management,. I get the yacht rock water vibe but, man, come on!

Day trip to beach and had a delicious meal with family! Beautiful view and our server Maddy was super friendly & professional!

We went there to have lunch and everything was delicious. Seafood pasta was great and so was the stuffed flounder. Every time we go we leave happy. Recommend this one of a kind place to anyone looking for great seafood!!!

I hate to leave a bad review, especially for a place that I’ve been coming to for years. My wife and I have been coming to the outdoor bar summer happy hours for years and it’s always been fantastic. Bar tenders used to be on point, friendly and next to the ambiance, were the the reason we came here. Came for some drinks and dinner on 8/15/24 and sat at the outside “tiki” bar. Arrived at around 450pm…. Watched as the two bartenders talked about work drama, checked their phones, gossiped, etc… At one point the people next to us stopped a manager and complained about exactly what I stated above. We sat there for close to 20 minutes without either bartender even making eye contact with us and decided that it was time to move on. I’ll be honest.. the food has always been mediocre, the cocktails are a beer and simple mixed drink place but the ambiance and the weekday local crowd was always the reason we came. It’s no wonder the regulars we’ve seen there for years have relocated to other local establishments that have way more to offer. We’ll definitely try Klein’s again.. but if there is no improvement in service, it’ll be our last time, especially with a never ending list of superior places in the area.

Food is good. 45 minute wait for a special occasion while we watched the tall balding grey hair manager (seater) with the beard slap hands with his friends and seat them ahead of us (after the hostess said no multiple times).

Service was excellent. Scallops were very tasty and a generous portion. Cesar salad was good and not overdressed. It is a bit loud, despite being outdoors.

Food is amazing. Employees super nice. Place a a gem in the Town Of Belmar.

Amazing experience. I am french and VERY DIFFICULT TO PLEASE. My wife and I do not go out much as I'd rather to cook my own food. I was surprised by the quality and freshness of the seafood. Good job to the chef AND staff!

Lunch for four. Excellent service... Very good atmosphere outside with views of the water. Food was very good. We had Lobster (2), Salmon, and a Flounder sandwich.

My Girlfriend who writes restaurant reviews and i visited here last weekend and had the pleasure of an outstanding Bartender named Ken Palen who was beyond any standard of what a bartender should be, he cut out wait time from an hour to minutes as we were in the area, he was constantly looking to see how he could help, always checking on food and drinks and we specifically watched him help a very elderly couple to the table being such a gentleman and pulling the chairs out for them. Ken is the absolute best worker you have and should be a Supervisor or Manager If he isn’t already. You must value the people you have working for you who make the customers as happy as Ken does. Don’t underestimate a worker like him as he is irreplaceable

Isn't it great to get a "generous" portion meal? Ever get a generous portion meal at a seafood restaurant? Try Klein's and you will. On top of that is great taste. There's something here for everyone.

Great food, great service and great atmosphere

We stopped by today for lunch...calamari appetizer was the best I've had in a long time.We both had lobster rolls and they were perfect 👌 The rum buckets were delicious! Molly was our server, she was great !!!!

Kleins was a 10/10 experience. While waiting for our table they had music and a beautiful patio on the water for a very relaxing wait. Our server Riley was amazing, very friendly, attentive, and communicative. The crab legs, boom boom shrimp, clams, lobster rolls (cold and hot), chicken francese, and spicy shrimp were all delicious. We highly recommend all and Kleins! We will definitely be back!

So! This place just became like an every summer routine must visit place for definitely an a years back. Love an atmosphere and location, view is like nowhere else! The only thing they need to increase not decrease ( like they are doing now) service and food presentation at list , the only good thing, that food is fresh here! I understand that everyone is trying to survive in this hard economic situation in US however why they didn’t ever never would’ve not even try to start talking reservations instead of making people wait in line for hours? Today I have been told it’s an hour waiting time which it’s insane. It’s usually was 20 min than it’s became 40, now it’s an hour. And it’s was Sunday. And after all you get a very quick sloppy unprofessional service and oysters floating in the water on melted ice missing all the juice they supposed to keep! Don’t expect much, be realistic, place is not about the food and service! It’s about views and atmosphere! So don’t order much, just drinks and appetizers probably are enough to enjoy the views! Seems like they make you feel so and I will do after all ! Just trying to be objective and realistic despite how much I love the place been visiting for years 🥂🐚🏖️ Getting annoyed waiting to get a sit for an hours just for the quick sloppy service and dinner. Tasteless calamari, chewy hot lobster roll, see through Aperol Spritz . Have no idea how are they staying busy , i guess people dont care or this food is good for them. Server guy was nice and attentive.

Great inlet side location with lots of summer activities. Outside dining and great menu. Cocktails could use a bit more finesse (ice in manhattan up). Great for big groups and couples alike.

Always enjoy dining at Klein's. Seafood is fresh and the service is friendly. The migonette sauce has a brut champagne finish. Quite delicious and great touch with the oysters.

Staff was incredibly rude! First told us to order at the bar before our table was ready only to be then told that we couldn’t get a table because we ordered at the bar. Then accused us of lying about it. Would not recommend

We had excellent food with a nice ocean view! Personally Fish and Chips and Spicy Dragon Sushi were the best.

Stopped by Klein’s for the first time, Kate M was our bartender! Absolutely loved the tiki bar. She was awesome what a hard worker. The place was popping and she crushed it, excellent service by her. Will definitely be back! Totally recommend the butter lobster roll

The sushi was good but that was the first time to try this so I can not compare. I ordered the shrimp scampi which I have ordered many times before. First it stated to be served on a bed of angel hair pasta. NOT. And the sauce, was like a gravy. Ugh. The server rolled his eyes when we asked for water before ordering our drinks and appetizers. Needless to say …….

Every time I visit Belmar im sure to stop by this popular spot. Great ambiance and waterfront location. 3 outdoor bars, live music, delicious and fresh seafood/fish. Parking can be tough and It's a bit of a wait for a table but they have a good system to get people in and out. Attentive and friendly service. Always a great experience.

Fresh Fresh Seafood on the jersey shore

Every bit of our meal was terrific! Perfect drinks, icy cold fresh clams on the half shell, enormous and delicious lobster rolls in a beautiful setting with great service. What more can I say? Just go!

$24.00 for a fish sandwich on a bag roll, definitely not a Kaiser as described on the menu. Extremely expensive.The server was awesome. Do not recommend!

Had a great lunch on Wednesday. Were able to dock the boat and get a nice table on the covered deck. Food was really outstanding as well as the service. Could not believe how quickly our food arrived, considering the place was packed. Crab cake platter was excellent. Only gripe I would have would be with the coleslaw, prefer the creamy version. Highly recommended this place for a great lunch on the river.

Great atmosphere and beautiful views. It's a great experience dining outside. The food is fresh and also good too. My only complaints would be the slow service when it gets busy. On Monday evening it took about an hour to get our food. We had to send back the salmon that was specifically requested no Salt and Seasoning. Other than that it was a good experience. I recommend this place and will return. 4/5.

Delicious and fresh! Ordered the Buffalo style calamari to start and my main was the stuffed flounder platter. Immediate reaction was melt-in-your-mouth crab stuffing in the flounder! Loved everything about my dish. Service was great as well. Although we had to wait ~1hr, it was well worth it for the food!

Meh. Not what it used to be. Ordered 1 1/2 pound lobster. Seemed less than that. Not very meaty.

Great sea food restaurant on the water!

A really nice waterfront restaurant. Large menu with locally sourced fish. Food was served quickly by an extremely friendly waitress. Food was excellent and portions were decent. A definite go back place.

We had the fried haddock fish sandwich, and the broiled mussels and shrimp entree with vegetables and potato. Best were well prepared, well seasoned, and served in a timely manner. The dockside setting gave an opportunity to watch fishing boats travel from the marina to the ocean. Klein s Fish Market has a decades long reputation as being one of the top seafood restaurants in the area. We enjoyed our visit and would happily come again. A counter sells fish for those who prefer to buy preprepared and to cook at home. There is a more casual outdoor bar area also that was not open when we visited on a Saturday around lunch time.

This is one of the most memorable early dinners I've had. Great service, water was right out window. Romantic spot. Got in quickly. Went for early dinner, we arrived at 3. The lobster, crab legs and oysters where very good. Baked potato was yummy and so where the veggies. Will return if in the area, definitely recommend. Prices were fair for the food we received.

So this place was highly suggested from many people That we know Taka in Asbury Park. They did tell me that it was not fine dining but it was very good. More likely blue-collar gourmet. We had the lobster bisque which was average. We had the clam chowder again, which was average. My wife had a lobster And I had the softshell crabs and I hate to say it as much as I wanted to like this place I found it to be very average and overpriced. Total bill with a cup with a bottle of wine was $200 but I just think I could get more from better restaurants for the same price. We are going to try it again and see what happens but we don’t know. As a whole I would rate it very average. People were nice service was OK but for the price you paid I did find it to be a very average seafood place.

Overpriced for the very small portion size. We had appetizers and dinner and both were very small. Food felt mass produced and not prepared fresh. Hot buttered lobster roll was soggy, not hot and the lobster had no flavor at all. Sat at the bar and ate and the bartender did not ever make eye contact with anyone to avoid having to take care of them. People were trying to get waited on and he seemed to want to avoid it. I wouldn’t go back. Setting was nice with a beach feel but the food and service not great.

Waterside, long time establishment and never disappoints! The appetizers of raw also steamed clams were great. We had broiled scallops & broiled flounder dinners. cooked to perfection! Rice & veg were not laddened with spicing. Watching the boats coming in river and ospreys across the river was added entertainment. The patio music which never ceased to break, was my rock & roll style.

I had the flounder sandwich and a Manhattan clam chowder. Generous portion of fried founder on the sandwich which was very good. Sides of coleslaw and waffles fries. The coleslaw was good but the fries were just average. Clam chowder was just OK, I would not order it again. Overall a decent lunch. Price was about what you would expect for the location.

We got takeout because we had 2 toddlers in our party. The N. E. Chowder and garlic veggies were good as well as the crab stuffed flounder and scallops. The fish in the fish and chips was OK but the fries were dry and tasteless. The shrimp was dry. The lobster in the lobster roll was a crime. It was extremely tough and dry. The waffle fries were soggy from the veggie liquid. A separate container for fries won’t break your budget.

Seafood was top of the line. Service was spot on! Can’t wait to go back again

I've never had a bad experience here; one of my favorites.

My family has been coming here for years but it’s been quite some time since I stopped in. One of the best seafoods spots at the jersey shore. Awesome views watching the boats come in and out, really great food, and friendly, attentive service. A classic spot to relax with a beer and some good seafood.

Deserves a sixth star. The absolute freshest, best prepared seafood on the Jersey shore! Just keeps getting better!

Nice place, it was recommended by a friend. Had a cup of clam chowder, a lobster roll with a beer. The chowder was a bit thicker than I like it, but the flavor was excellent. The lobster roll was not the salad type with mayo etc, so I had pure lobster chunks with fries. It was tasty and not that expensive, although it was market price, which always makes me think before ordering. Overall a good experience. The surprise came when I wanted to buy fresh fish which is way more expensive than I was willing to pay. A pound of cod was 23 which is about 10 more than I usually pay. So 1 star off. But overall I can recommend the place. Not cheap, but good quality.

The best fish and lobster, which comes directly from the adjacent fish market and is freshly prepared. It is also possible to choose fish in the fish market and have it prepared. Price-performance is absolutely fine.

I thought this place was way overpriced. I got the clam bake which I expected to be a whole mess of seafood for $60 but was 1 lobster and maybe 3 of each, clams, muscles, scallops and shrimp.The food was delicious and the service was good. The atmosphere is great with the water views. It was kind of cold where we dined though at this time of year. It gets a little loud with the bar and a band.

Not the old Klein’s, sadly it’s a thing of pass. I ordered 2 lobster rolls I give a 3. It Thrown together mostly claw meat, Luke warm! The cook look like he was hung over from previous night! It reminded me of a burger joint! Seafood is serious business you can become deathly ill!

Just had apps and all of them were great. Great place for a summer spot to hangout on the patio.

Excellent food with a good prices and excellent service

We had Max as our server. He did a great job. We had Lobster bisque soup, mouth is still watering, delicious. Lobster roll sandwich, chicken taco sandwich and a Black Dragon sushi roll. All of them were top notch, loved them.

Having spent my entire life in the vicinity, my recent visit to Klein's Seafood Restaurant was a first, and I opted for the combo platter featuring flounder, crab-cake, shrimp, and scallops. The overall experience was enjoyable, albeit a slight detraction with the seasoning, not aligning with my preference for bold flavors. The warm and inviting atmosphere, coupled with the impeccable service from our waiter Max, truly elevated the dining experience. Despite the seasoning, I found the meal to be of high quality, and I'm inclined to return for another visit. A solid four-star rating, with the potential for even greater satisfaction on future visits.
