The decor is dated. Food is alright. Service was slow.

The food is good. But the service needs more improvement. Little more entertaining needs.

Average in every sense of the word

My filet was cooked perfectly and the whole plate of food was fantastic.

The rice was not Asian rice. It was white American rice par cooked when it was put on the grill. The carrots & peas were canned or frozen not cut fresh. The rest of the dinner was so/so. Salad was chunks of slightly wilted iceberg with ginger dressing smothering it. The chef did the little show. My biggest complaint is that the building used to be a bbq place and was poorly retrofitted for a hibachi grill. There’s no ventilation above the grills. The ceiling tiles are black with grease and the ac vents dusty and moldy. While we were there on a Friday night the temperature was so hot that August in Florida outside was cooler. Most clientele were using the sticky menus to fan themselves. The tables were sticky. The floors had not been swept. Sushi was room temperature and the fish was not fresh. Most diners were in baseball hats, on their phones, or being loud and obnoxious. No one dressed nice- very much like they all came from a ball park. Bathrooms were dirty. Front entrance area ground covered with spent cigarette butts. The bill was the same as if you had gone to a nicer place. The ambiance was crowded with too many tables, the air stunk and was a consistent 90 degrees inside, , sanitation was visibly low. And I now have mild food poisoning. This is very much the Golden Corral of hibachi and I’m calling it “Hibachi in the Hood”. Leave Orange Park, go into Jacksonville for a better set up and evening. Hibachi grills should be special. This one was not!

Hubby and I came here after that one Korean bbq spot waitlist was too long. We just popped in no wait. Staff was very friendly and helped us right away. My husband got sushi dinner and enjoyed it. I got shrimp and steak hibachi. Nice portions, the steak and shrimp could’ve had a little more seasoning but it was still really good. The ginger side salad was tasty and refreshing. We would definitely be back, nice affordable friendly spot. Glad we came

I’m definitely not the one to write reviews but tonight totally sucked… I took my fiancé and mother in law out to eat and the food was good and so was the service… but the people they allow to sit at the bar with the MANAGER that cuss and say gd and suck my balls that was obviously drunk made the experience very saddening🤷🏻‍♂️ this might not do anything but oh well and let me add I was sitting near children that heard everything coming out this womens mouth

So I have been coming to this place for a while. The habachi has always been pretty much the same. Fairly bland but it is what ya expect. The sushi used to be good but has recently started to go horribly wrong. Last time I decided to let the manager know the issues to hopefully get them corrected for the rest of the customers to hopefully improve service. This time it was so awful and there was no manager even available. Needless to say this was the final straw. The sushi at this place is awful and I will not be coming back after years of service. The server doesn't even know what's available for me to order for drinks. I'm done

Food had no flavor. Chef and waitress were very nice.

Food was very good and delivered to our table without a long wait. We prefer the tables in the back rather than sit at Hibachi table.

Sent back Lobster rolls aka Jaguar Roll was so overcooked it hurt the roof of my mouth. Vinegar taste on all the rest was so overwhelming. $85 later had a cucumber sandwich at home. Overall yuck

WOULD NOT GO HERE!!! food wasn’t even cooked all the way ( rice and meats), flies flying around our plate before landing on open condiments , service was horrible like they didn’t want to be there and management was even worse, called the cops on us for complaining about the food and even admitted to being racist towards white people.

DONT GO HERE!!! Came here for dinner with my husband and the food was cold and the rice was hard and stale , I told them at this point I don’t want it bcuz our waiter was very rude abt it saying that I’m the only one in the restaurant that has complained .. I ask for a manager he came over and cussed me out saying I will still have to pay for the food I didn’t eat … called the cops on us and refused to let us leave after telling us that he DID NOT LIKE WHITE PEOPLE !!!

Just went for a birthday dinner this past Tuesday night. To my surprise it's huge inside, and looks smaller from the outside. The hostess stand had 2 very energetic young ladies working, who welcomed us as we walked in. We were seated promptly and again welcomed by our server, who took our drinks order. Our cook for the night was sweet and funny. The one thing we noticed was the chicken hibachi was a little over cooked with no flavor and the rice had lots of butter but no garlic. The salad and soup were delicious. Shrimp hibachi was the best of the proteins. The steak hibachi was cooked as ordered but lacked seasoning too. The restaurant was clean. As well as the restrooms. This was our first time but not our last, we'll be back!

We love this place! We have gone here for years. Recently though I would love to see a deep clean done. The ceilings and bathrooms and floors need a serious scrub down. Please take care of this and keep up the great service and food we have all become custom too.

The food was ok , but the service is awful took a very long time between seeing server, went a long time with no drinks and didn’t bring sauce that was asked for 2ce. Due to us being a party of 6 the grats were automatically added on and our Server was very pushy trying to add more stuff to our bill, Anna “accidentally” poured an extra beer and offered it to us “instead of pouring it out”- and then charged us for it. Very unfortunate experience

Went on a Friday night. We were seated right away. They weren't really busy. It was 6:30pm but there was also inclement weather in the area. The service was good, though I did sit with an empty glass for a time, which is a pet peeve of mine. The chef was amazing and engaging. The food was fantastic. Very happy with the visit.

We had a wonderful dinner. The wait to get in was minimal. The food was excellent. The staff were very friendly and very. Accommodating. The prices are on scale for the amount of food you were given. It was fresh. I highly recommend the hibachi, although there are dishes that can be cooked in the kitchen. Each of us started off with a miso soup. We then each had a nice salad with ginger dressing. If you don't care for ginger dressing, they have a Mayo dressing. Then, my family and I had different dishes of hibachi, which included shrimp and scallops, shrimp and steak, and chicken and shrimp. You get two forms of protein, plus you get vegetables and fried rice. This is one of many times my family and I have been to this restaurant, and been very satisfied with our meals. We continue to go back often.

This place is horrible! Horrible to there employees and horrible to there customers! They have people fill fake reviews to boost their status! First let’s start with the poor waiters and waitresses who work extremely hard all night with waiter wages and than have to share there money with the cooks that make $18 and hour but also the bus boys because the company doesn’t pay them a regular paycheck because there illegal so they rely solely on the waitress tips! The place doesn’t get cleaned regularly, the waiters and waitresses get bumps all over their arms and break out and the management makes it a joke and calls it server aids! The drink all day, including allowing the minors that work there to drink as well! They are very rude to the customers and coups careless about your experience! Save your money and time and go find another place! I realize this is the only one in Orange Park but just know you will be treated any kind of way and charged dearly while they do it and turn u into there joke when u leave!

We dined for my birthday and it wasn't much of a show ... But the food made up for it! I literally could eat this daily.

When you think of a Hibachi Grill you think of excitement, energy, fun! Not at all during our visit. Our bill was over $350 and it was boring, the chef didn’t ask us a thing or talk to us other than confirm our order. He didn’t engage or provide any entertainment. I was very disappointed because even the food was not good. The rice wasn’t entirely cooked and the shrimp didn’t taste fresh. The lady at the host desk up front is very rude and shouldn’t be in the customer service field. All in all, won’t go back. Food was not good, service was not good, and the atmosphere was dull and underwhelming.

Our party of four was here for Sunday lunch. Three of us ordered sushi, and one ordered a Hibachi meal. Our server, Olivia, was very professional yet friendly. She helped make it one of the best experiences we've had. The food was delicious and fresh, the atmosphere was nice and the prices were reasonable. We will definitely be back.

My only reason for this score is because the amount of dust that is all over your ceiling tiles and vents. For goodness sake it’s hang down from the ceiling.

I'm always excited to share my wife's and myself experience at a restaurant. Although my wife and myself are not local customers our experience here was memorable. It goes without mention that the staff and chiefs are extremely experienced and very well trained. Our meals were prepared to perfection and priced within budget. I certainly will save this restaurant for a return visit. Altogether, bravo! Job well done.

Food was ok they even tried to give us extra protein with the ant that was in the food, of course they took that meal off but didn't offer to make anything else, and there was only a few bites taken out of the meal. service was terrible, didn't once come back to ask if we wanted another drink.

I cannot believe they doubled their prices for Mother’s Day. I bought the same dish yesterday for 11$ and today the woman on the line told me today because it’s Mother’s Day the prices have all doubled for the same portions. I am offended that mothers pay more at this facility on a day that is supposed to celebrate them. The food here is good and I’m pregnant so it’s one of the only places I can eat without feeling like I’m going to vomit but this attempt to swindle the public really turns me off. I’m really shocked.

Not much taste in the already mediocre sushi, noodles were undercoocked and doughy, steak & fried rice were mediocre.Not equivalent to what you paid for. We thought we would be eating in a Japanese restaurant but it is another Chinese place. Save your gas and time and try Kyuramen instead.

I've been coming here for years. The food quality came down quite a bit a year ago. The tuna here tastes overly fishy half of the time. The ginger I received today smelled swampy. I'm so disappointed.

Food was great! Service was good. It took a bit even though there were not many customers. They do need vents for the hibachi grills. It got smoky.

Visited this place about 810pm after a grueling beach volleyball win. Haven't been here in 3yrs. Teen wanted sushi. I had Salmon and Shrimp hibachi. The 8 Shrimp were overcooked and they served salmon as a thin piece of half of a filet. Seafood was lukewarm. Fried rice was okay. Veggies were mushroom, zucchini and onion very flavorful. Protein portion of my dish was lacking. Teen had yellow tuna, salmon and CA rolls with a side of rice. She enjoyed them. Service was lacking and they weren't that busy. Deciding if I will give them another try or not.

Not the absolute best hibachi I’ve had- but the best I’ve had in Jacksonville so far! The cocktails were strong and pretty good, the service can take awhile because it gets busy. But overall was pretty good. I’d go back.

We had a good birthday party experience at Kyodai Dushi Rock.

Absolutely loved Wendy, our waitress. The sweetest girl. We’ve been there a few times but this was by far the best service we’ve had. Although the food wasn’t as good as it normally is, our drinks stayed full and the staff was amazing.

Quality has slowly been declining. It is very hit or miss each time we go. Gave them a few different tries and isn't improving. Time for a new scene.

This place gives you great portions and the service is always good. It’s just this place is always dirty. The ceiling tiles are just covered in black particles. The bathrooms are not in good report. From the dining room to the bathrooms, you can see how dirty it is. The food is prepared well and have no complaints.

Great food great prices! Check the prices on your receipt before paying. My party was charged dinner rates for lunch. We had to have each one of our lunch bills adjusted to the lunch rate when the waitress brought our lunch bills

Took the family out for dinner in the quick serve area. Everything was okay (shrimp were well overcooked and bland, but the scallops made up for it), but the service was very much on top of things. It's very cold in the restaurant so bring a jacket. Some of the best German Shepherd and Tabby cat is served nightly here. Will definitely be back... just not for shrimp... or was it Poodle? :)

Went there for lunch today and it was nasty. It smells when you walk in that old place and the waitress was not very accommodating. She had to let we were bothering her. Actually it was 145 and I was unaware that they close at 2 o’clock, but she was quick to tell us we close at 2 o’clock. If you want anything to order you better hurry, we never saw again until it was time for us to leave. I tipped her on because I work in the service industry. Also again that was the only reason I tipped her.

A very fun place with seating around the grill. The chef was entertaining, friendly, and fun. The food was great and the family all had fun.

You order take out you ask three times for soy and steak sauce. They tell you yes it's in the bag .Get Home no sy for sushi. No Steak sauce. NOT. WANTING MY FOOD SWIMMING IN SHRIMP SAUCE BUT GOT 8 SHRIMP SAUCE. THEY DONT LISTEN. ILL NOT EAT THERE AGAIN IT HAS HAPPEN TO MANY TIMES. EVEN WHEN EATING THERE. I HAVE HAD TO ASK FOR STEAK SAUCE AND BE GIVING MORE SHRIMP SAUCE.and repeat myself. Just because they drink shrimp sauce with everything. NOT me and I'll NOT GO AGain

My husband took me here last night for the first time, and I really enjoyed the food and service. We had miso soup, tuna bagel sushi, yellow tail, spicy tuna sushi, and ginger tea. It was all very delicious and it's definitely a great place for a date or family group dinner. We'll come back again soon.

I walk in and go straight to the washroom and immediately notice a waiter walking out of the stall and did not wash his hands and I followed him out and he goes right back to work. I immediately reported this to other staff members and they brought his actions to his attention, he walks over to me and feels the need to tell me he was only on his phone... Ok rookie, #1 what are you doing in the stall only on your phone while on the clock? #2 you never ever exit the washroom without washing your hands, when a customer sees this it makes us feel and think you are nasty and disgusting. And what else are you doing throughout the restaurant? I ordered one of my favorite dishes but sadly was not impressed at all. Yes I ate it, I was hungry and do not like wasting food. I ordered hibatchi with steak, chicken and shrimp. I ordered steak medium and it comes out almost well done. Chicken was dry and over cooked and the shrimp was very close to being over cooked. Clearly the cook had other things on his mind. And for $41.61 I most likely will not be back

I have never left a review before really any place but this is the worst restaurant I have ever eaten at my life steak is dry ,chicken is mid, rice is horrible and don’t even try the Yum Yum sauce. I’m saving all of you now !!!!

First time coming here . We were skeptical at first because when we called to ask if they do reservations or just when you get there service, the person on the phone was soooo rude . We decided to try it anyway. Great experience overall! Our server looked lost and served me 2 different wines but I honestly didn’t care much about that . The cook was so nice and put on a great show ! The food tasted delicious and the scallops oh my god the scallops. So tender and had a great seasoning . Will come back for sure !

I order food twice from this place. The guy and cashier working on Thursday, November 16th 2023, didn't let me talk to the person in charge. They told me they're not one in charge and the owner is not here. I want to tell them, the guy or the cashier that took my order forgot or intentionally didn't gave me what I order and payed for. I called them back and I told them I want the rest of my food. I had to came back from orange park during traffic hours and a rainy night to get what they forgot about my order. They are so unprofessional. The owner or manager has to training those teenagers. That's a good restaurant but it's loosing quality cause the unprofessional people working there. Another time, I called them and the person answered the phone told me, they don't take orders by phone, which is not true. She didn't feel like to work. So sad, those people I mentioned are giving a super bad images to the restaurant. 😢😭😥 By the way, I also would like to let the owners know, That I'm trying to talk to the owner or manage and the person answered the phone is blocking me from talking with them. Well, it's time to get my sushi in another restaurant. Thanks a lot.

This is my favorite hibachi restaurant, period. It's always tasty, and they don't give you the weird noodles. The mayo and ginger dressing are delicious! Doesn't taste super sweet or too seasoned like other places. You will not be disappointed.

I had hibachi only, they also have sushi that I hear is good. Hibachi was very good, the chef did his usual tricks, had an ample amount of food. Server was good. I would recommend this restaurant.

Kyodai Sushi Rock looks appeasing on the outside. Unfortunately, the hibachi is the only nice thing on the inside. We had four different waitresses. I was unaware of who I was leaving a tip for. The sushi was great, the dumplings weren’t the best, and the miso soup tasted like dirt.

I had eaten here years ago but it is not the same! Definitely has taken a nose dive. We went for lunch.

I can’t believe the way we were just treated. They sat us down, and literally didn’t come back to the table. It was just my husband and I and our baby. At like 1pm on a weekday. For over half an hour we sat there. There were five or six ladies behind us that were finishing up, and TWO WAITERS including the one who sat us walked by us NUMEROUS times to take care of the women at the other table.. asking them if they need anything, asking if they wanted drinks to go, etc. Besides them, we were the ONLY CUSTOMERS IN THE RESTAURANT. I felt like we were being purposely ignored. We sat there over thirty minutes with no one even taking our drink orders or acknowledging us. There’s no excuse. You don’t ignore customers. We finally just got up to leave and on the way out, the one guy goes, “Have a great day guys!” In a patronizing voice. They knew exactly what they did. They ignored and disrespected us, and dared us to do anything about it. My husband went back in to talk to Jimmy, who was apologetic. Clearly he was in the back and didn’t realize what went on. But to that waitress who took us to our table and the waiter who made the comment at the end, you need to fix your nasty, condescending attitudes, stop ignoring customers, and gain some customer service skills. We did nothing to you to deserve being treated like that. I’ll be damned before I ever treat anyone like that in my business. I don’t think I’ll ever feel comfortable enough to go back, which sucks because the food itself is great.

Adam our server was an absolute treat. He was kind and attentive. Our Chef was incredible. He was energetic, humorous, and his food was great. Of course I had some sake too. Thank you for the memorable experience will be back soon!!

The food and the servers were pleasant, but the receptionist was rude and abrasive and ruined the experience for me. The place would be MUCH better if the had someone with a better attitude at the front.

Visiting from out of town and decided to come here. It feels more homey and relaxed then other hibachi restaurants where I am from. The food was amazing and made right (also a pretty decent price). The staff was so nice. Shaun was out waiter and he was so easy to talk to. I would definitely come back next time I come to Orange Park. They are family friendly and have a great atmosphere. Definitely recommend coming here.

Good Japanese Steakhouse. Went for lunch. I ordered the Sukiyaki and my husband ordered Hibachi Scallops. The Sukiyaki was good. Not as flavorful as I’ve had before but it was large and full of veggies, beef, noodles and tofu. It’s really hard to find Sukiyaki so I was thrilled to find it in Jacksonville! My husband’s scallops were good, and he got a lot of fried rice and a good amount of veggies. I recommend especially for lunch when it is a little less expensive.
