Went during happy hour. The restaurant was empty, got the calamari, tostones,chicken epanamdas and jerk wings. Husband loved the wings the tostones were big, however the epanamdas lacked flavored

La Cañita is a wonderful place. A true essence of Cuban culture and cuisine. Ancer was a great server. He knows the menu well and was knowledgeable about substitutions. He had a full load but made time for everyone! For great Cuban food, try out La Cañita in the Bayside Mall.

The margarita was amazing and the live music set the tone for a great evening. We started with empanadas that are a MUST here. Ancer recommended an off-menu ceviche sampler that was exactly what we were looking for. He provided great service all evening and started our vacation off right!

Ate Cuban for the first time. It was delicious and our waiter Ancer gave us delicious recommendations on what to try. We also had a good view of the harbor in the restaurant. The ambience also fits the Cuban flair.

The food at La Cañita was amazing!! My family enjoyed many dishes and our waitress Brenda was very kind and made sure that we had a great experience. For kids, I recommend the Piña Colada to drink and to eat, the empanadas!

Loved this restaurant! The service was absolutely wonderful by Juliana and she was extremely informative of the menu! I had the oxtails which were tender and flavorful with the right balance of red wine and spices. I also ordered a side of the roasted squash ragout!!! It was fantastic! I'll truly be back! This is a must go place!

Stopped in here for dinner. The shrimp cocktail and Cuban sandwich were excellent. The server was slow and inattentive while the restaurant was practically empty. I would return for the food and this would be a 5 star rating if the service was a little better.

I just had an amazing Cuban sandwich I’ve ever tried! It was massive I wasn’t able to really finish. They had live music and I was seated outside with a great view of Pier5. It was kinda hot but they have huge fans all over the place. Ancer was my server and he was really nice and friendly. Thank you for a lovely lunch.

Ancer was a really good server.

Good authentic Cuban food and portions were generous. Tried the lechon with yucca and shredded beef with rice and beans. Both were both spot on. Hot sauce and pickled red onions on the side went well with the meal. Live music and nice decor as well.

Food was typical, price is very high - the $$ for this store needs to be fixed to $$$$. The 20% service fee drives up the price on already overpriced food and drinks.

By far THE BEST place to go in the marketplace. We almost went to the chilis next door and I am SO GLAD we didn’t. Service was friendly, food was amazing, live music was playing, drinks were the perfect amount of boozy, and the place itself was so beautiful that I could sit there for hours! They were so nice to let us stay while waiting on our cruise, and even after we were on the boat, we kept saying “this is good, but it’s no La Canita”. Seriously I don’t like Miami but I am SO going back for this!

I will say this place is very pricey . Everything is extra , I was surprise to see a salt rim around ur cocktail is extra too . Gratitude is an extra 20 percent ! So be aware it was 4 of us and just on the service charge was $65 which that’s insane ! I will say the server was professional and food was veryy tasty but this restaurant definitely takes advantage of the price I guess due to tourist . I’m a Miami local and me and my people were definitely taken back with the overall price

I had a great time at this Cuban Restaurant. Walking into the sound of music playing and sitting at a table overlooking the water set a great mood. Our server (Ancer M) was great. We had a lot of questions and he went over the menu with us and helped us find what we wanted. The portions are large, and everything tasted great! I wouldn’t call this place budget friendly. My wife and I ordered two drinks, two mid priced meals, and one appetizer when ended up running us around $127. Even with that I’m confident in recommending you check this place out.
