Brick oven pizza, homemade ice cream and fantastic service!!

Loved the hint of smoke flavor in the food. Facility was very clean and the staff very courteous and friendly. We will be back.

We loved it! The atmosphere was super comfortable and welcoming, our server Kayla took great care of us, and the food was delicious. Jalapeño poppers were the best I’ve ever had, far and away. Can’t wait to go back!

Best pizza in the area! Smoky woodfired crust, delicious pizza, rail bread, and appetizers!! The hot sandwiches are melted perfectly with succulent tasty fillings. They make homemade ice cream too!!!

The long wait for our order and the lights flickering on and off or just went dim... hummm 🤔 Food was okay, looks like they didn't take the time to cover the bread... The bread was good!

Better wait to order your food until you head that way, it'll be done quick. Great food and tasty! My go to when I come back to town.

I had been craving a good bbq pizza and this one was right on point. Exceeded expectations. Looking forward to going back and trying more from their very well-rounded menu.

Hidden gem of North Vernon, very very good food pizza is amazing and there in house smoked BBQ is award worthy. Desserts are homemade an sinfully good . I go once a week atleast.

Cool pizza spot. Train master pizza was great and so was the rail bread sticks. We also got an order of pulled pork nachos. They were good but I feel like it was missing something to make it spectacular. Though I’m unsure what it is. Place is ok. Could use some renovating but it was clean and so were the restrooms. Staff was nice but looked a bit understaffed

I can't tell you how many times we've been here, but every visit is a good experience. My husband is so addicted, haha! The food is awesome, service is good, and the restaurant has a neat interior. We travel about 40 minutes just to eat here/order take out- worth the trip every time!

First time being there. Everything was great and friends were quite satisfied as well. Everything was delicious, hot and fresh! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a more cozy, country like pizza place to hang out at.

We've been here a few times, but we haven't been since COVID. The food is always DELICIOUS! The Garlic bread and the pizza were SO good! The cheesecake was AMAZING! Our server was very good! The chair I sat in was uncomfortable though, it was different than the other chairs at our table, but that's not enough to stop me from going back, if they seat us there again I'll just ask if we can have a different table😉 Problem solved! I don't know what took us so long to start going again!

Chicken salad was so fresh. Cheese cake was best I’ve had.

This is, hands down, the best wood-fired brick oven pizza anywhere (yes, even better than 450 North). Small "friends and family" atmosphere. Friendly servers - Kayla stopped by several times to make sure we were good and see if we needed anything. Oh, and they carry my favorite beer. Was the perfect post - hike dinner.

Wow!! This place was great!! We started with the Rail bread sticks then moved on to a Supreme pizza, and finished with homemade vanilla icecream and homemade peanut butter swirl cheesecake. Everything was EXCELLENT!! I also have to mention that Rose, our server, was the best!!

Lakeside is a very good place. The pizza is very good and the cheese cakes are the best beyond any other. Including the cheese cake factory. They can not hold a candle stick.

Very courteous, had a sweet server. Staff was very respectful and kind when we walked in not knowing how to approach we were helped almost immediately and set at a nice table with plenty of room. Very original and tasty appetizer, main course, and desert.

We drive from the Ohio River area to eat here. Excellent! Closest to Italy you can get. UPDATE: Still delicious with friendly service!

This is the best pizza place east of The Serious Pie Co. In Seattle. They have a great wood fired oven and their food is delicious. The service here is outstanding. The restaurant is a nicely decorated theme of rail and race cars. It is located just outside of town but is easy to find using Google Maps. They have an ample sized parking lot with plenty of angle parking.

My daughter and I went here last night for the first time. The food is really good. The only thing I would suggest to the owner is to upgrade your table and chairs. I don't really like sitting at a high table, and the chair I sat in was so unstable I felt like it was going to fall apart beneath me. I switched chairs, but it wasn't much better. Sitting high up in a chair that feels rickety while your eating is a bit unnerving. You got it going on with your food though.

Atmosphere is very nice. Nothing on menu is questionable. From service to the quality of food is terrific.

Really good pizza. Amazing desserts. Excellent service. Truly surprised by the quality of the experience. But the best part, by far, was chatting with the owner. What a fascinating guy. He told us how he makes the cheesecake in the same wood oven they use for pizzas, how his ice cream contains no eggs, how his brother did the some of the artwork on the walls. All this from a retired railroad worker. Who could have guessed? We chose Lakeside because of the favorable reviews and went in with high expectations, which were exceeded in every way. Can't wait to go back.

Great experience. Lived around here for 18 years yet this was my first time visiting lake side. Even had kiddos who worked there but had never dined in. The atmosphere was welcoming. Good people, good service

It was peaceful in there, it was fast(we got our pizza in less than 10 minutes). I really like a thicker crust than this but it wasn't crunchy thin. Pretty tasty. And the cheesecake was pretty good, too.

It is a really good restaurant my favorite food the have is the Midwest Hawaiian BBQ I've had almost all there pizzas just one thing I don't like is there Philly cheese stake pizza I ate this and then later when I got home puked a lot.

You absolutely have to try the Rail Bread! Everything was absolutely amazing! We ordered the Midwest BBQ pizza, Rail Bread, and the kiddos had ice cream for dessert. Clean establishment and very friendly staff. This will definitely be our go-to stop every time we're in the area!

The BBQ sandwich was wonderful! A nice and sweet sauce with a tangy coleslaw on top, and the half size portion was great for lunch. Less than $6 for lunch with water! I've never had a bad meal here, and the wood fired brick oven lends a great flavor to the pizzas.

I recommend getting the Rail bread for an appetizer. It's like a deluxe cheese pizza with the same delicious wood fired crispy crust they use for the rest of their pizzas. And the full size order is absolutely massive! Their actual pizzas are great as well. The topping to crust ratio is on point. Not too much to where it's just a sloppy mess & not so little that you just feel like you're eating mostly bread. Of course, there's also always room in the dessert stomach for a slice of cheesecake(peanut butter & chocolate is my new favorite), or a large brownie with homemade ice cream, or just a little bowl of ice cream for a sweet treat after the main meal. Haven't tried any of the dessert pizzas yet, but they sure sound yummy. The prices are comparable to what you'd pay at a franchise pizza place, but the quality is much better.

Totally amazing, delicious pizza, staff Super kind and humble, cheesecakes we're out of this world. Definitely one of my favorites places to eat in family and watch some football game! Yeah!!!💝
