The restaurant offers delicious food and excellent service. However, there are some areas that require attention, such as the table, chairs, and walls needing a touch-up of paint, and the bathroom requiring improvements. Overall, the restaurant provides a good dining experience.

THEY ARE NOT PLAYING. The Girgiro was bomb and spicy and well cooked and flavorful. The Enjera was moist and fresh and delicious. Tiramisu is gorgeous and all the sauces are amazing. Shoutout to the team at this restaurant😆

On grubhub I ordered a kitfo sandwich and also more meals but the option for mitmita was not there I called the restaurant to tell then to put a side of mitmita they said they couldn't and the person on the phone was rude her name is tigest she need to do better! Never ordering again!

Street Level really chill spot. Celebrated V-Day a bit late so the late hours were exactly what I needed. 1st time there, greeted very friendly and the music was kinda jumpin' so me and my date felt a nice vibe right off. They had a little slick looking bar setup going and people looked like they were enjoying themselves. Place was clean and cozy.. I wasn't that hungry, so her ( my date) greedy a** felt it was ok to order two entrees.🤣🤣 She actually was pressing the issue for me to eat since I eat ethiopian food often and it was pretty good too. She enjoyed it, as much, if not more than I did for someone having never tried it. I ordered Tiramisu for dessert. We almost fought over who would get the last fork full. LOL Of course her being the greedier one, made me order her one to go also. The service was quick and polite. The prices were so very reasonable, It shocked me when the bill came... Definitely on my places to patronize when I'm headed to Silver Spring. Oh and it's conveniently on Georgia Ave, so it's easy to park and find.. Overall, we loved it and gotta go back there..✌️

The food is good, but the service is enough to never make go back here again. There are so many other Ethiopian restaurants with nice and kind people and delicious food. I had the worst experience with them and will never be ordering from them again. Here is what happened: I ordered on Doordash at 6:07 and immediately called the store within 30 seconds to make sure they received my order and to choose the way I’d like the tibs prepared (wet or juicy) because it was not possible to specify through doordash.. I also chose my sides on the phone because it wasn’t possible for me to online. It was 6:08 when I called and spoke to her. The lady called back at 6:13 telling me my food was already done— but it wasn’t. I told the lady on the phone that I needed the tibs prepared juicy and she said it wasn’t possible. I told her that I would pay whatever difference or even order again online if I needed to so that I can get the food I actually want. She put me on hold for about 5 minutes and then hung up on me. I called back and asked to speak to the manager instead to tell them about my issue— she said the manager doesn’t come in. I kept asking her how my food could possibly be finished cooking in 5 minutes when I just gave her my side orders? She told me there was nothing she could do and that she was working. She hung up on me again. I called back. No answer. I called the restaurant 12 times and eventually realized she had blocked my calls. I called back on a google number and it rang and she answered! I told her that it was very unprofessional to block me and that she didn’t even try to help me out or listen to what I was saying. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed. I have been a long time customer of Langano’s and the service wasn’t always the best but it has never been this bad. I feel very hurt and extremely disappointed by the way I was treated especially since I have been ordering here for the last few years. I will never be returning here again as the food is never worth such disrespectful service and behavior. I would not recommend going.

First time I’ve ever left a 1 star review for a restaurant. Food was delivered obviously overcooked and burned. The meat tasted like beef jerky. Entirely dry with no sauce. I called the store to place a complaint because i didn’t want to leave a negative review. Attendant picked up the phone, told me to come bring back the food at the restaurant, put me on hold and then hung up in my face.

The food all tasted alike—and VERY greasy. Our waitress "stretched" the truth when she said something wasn't available. After she was confronted—someone else waited on us. Food tasted, yet again, like the exact same spices—plus TOO, TOO MUCH oil was used. [Floated on top like an oil spill!] Let me suffice to say, the food was terrible (diarrhea), the service was CONDESCENDING and HORRIBLE, plus the bathroom was out of order! Ethiopian WAS one of my husband's most fav cuisines—ever, but thanks to Langano—no more. "We are never eating Ethiopian again!" Ethiopian is my fav cuisine—but, I will NEVER come here again either. This is the WORST Ethiopian restaurant I've EVER been to! [Fortunately, there are some others in the area that I can try. Wish me luck.]

I’ve been going there for a while with my little sister and the food is delicious. I love the veggie platter. I don’t even need no meat just the veggies alone is delicious. Yummy.

About two months ago, I had a fantastic lunch experience at this restaurant, giving it a five-star rating. However, today's dinner reservation for four people made through Google wasn't smoothly acknowledged by the front desk. Unfortunately, the food quality was disappointing—Kitifo lacked marination and flavor, and the Yebeg Tibs (fried meat) had only a few pieces fried with butter, resulting in an unsatisfying taste. Moreover, the portion sizes were notably small. Interestingly, the restaurant seemed more populated by people waiting for live music than those actively dining. I wouldn't recommend this place for nighttime dining unless they enhance their overall presentation.

I hate that I love this place. It’s like little Ethiopia around the corner. The restaurant aesthetic screams Addis, I could’ve sworn I saw a place like this back home. The music is always on point, no Tizita tough but for good reasons lol. I gotta say, is anything they could improve on the doors, the entrance door slams so hard behind you it’s like a crack of a shotgun. Then there’s the bathroom door, the men’s specifically, that one is just heavy and closes so damn hard like it doesn’t want you in or out lol. Overall the store is lovely, the hosts are polite and pretty, bonus. I enjoy coming here and grabbing some tea just for the vibes. Chill

Absolutely loved my food. This was my first time having Ethiopian food so I can't really compare. But this was excellent.

They took my order and after 1hr they said we don't have it. On top of that the staff were rude and unfriendly when talking on the phone. I canceled my order, total waste of time ,money and energy.

The service was so slow, the server saw me walk in and continued her conversation at the bar. She came about 10 mins after to take our order and I was told that the menu hasn’t been updated and that my food will cost 10 more dollars. We Had to ask for water refills, My husband put a timer on just for fun to see how long it would take her to come by and offer another beer… Lol 18 mins passed and he had to raise his hand to get her attention….The woman’s Bathroom door lock is broken. Food was just ok, nothing special. I will never return.

We have ordered Tibs, kitfo sandwich and fish sandwich with fries. The Tibs was good except the side. However, the sandwiches with fries is rotten, poor quality, seems cooked with a gallon of cheap oil. It's disgusting and not eatable. We trashed the sandwiches with fries and eat only the Tibs.

We used to go every week for the food and live music but this Saturday was very different. First one lady came and very disrespectful after we ordered the food was too much salt and no one was there to see us we tried to reach a waiter and it took them forever to come. Sorry I have to give you 1 star I wish there was negative

The vegi platter is our go to in my family (meat eaters and vegans) I personally am not a big fan of the beets but everything else is good or better 😋 They use to have vegetable sambusas but the last couple times I've gone, they haven't been available which is disappointing. The service can be slow but overall, I love the food they do have, when I'm there.

The food was cool but I ordered through clover on there website and then the lady at the front didn't know about it even though I had a confirmation number ( showed her) and spent 55 bucks and she still didn't want to give me my complete order

I've been coming here all year and the food has been amazing. Today the beans were not cooked all the way and the food had no seasoning to it whatsoever and I asked can I bring back the food and receive my money back due to the quality of food was very poorly and she said no I could not bring the food back even though it has hardly been touched and she will not give me my money back. Due to this I will not return to this restaurant again. And the fact that she told me I could not return food I've never heard that from a restaurant. I told so many people to go to this restaurant and now it's tarnished

You can find hair in your food one time, which is not okay, but u be mad, you will take it out of your system, and move on, but how is it possible to find 3 in one food 3😳😱😤 how bad can this place be? What else is in it? Before i found the hair, I had 2 bites Omg 😱 I will search for more hair, and I am sure I will find one🤮

Friendly staff and great food. The Ethiopian coffee was excellent. I didn't take a picture of the coffee service but it's definitely a must have. The coffee arrives in an attractive pot with two cups and burning incense. The effect is visual as well as olfactory. The waitress poured what seemed to be a lot of sugar in the cup prior to pouring in the coffee but it was perfect. The coffee was strong but very flavorful. Whatever is done to roast the beans and prep the coffee resulted in me pouring multiple cups!

The food tasted really really good. I went to this restaurant when I visited DC a few months back. The disappointment I keep getting from other places made me appreciate the authentic Ethiopian cuisine taste I got from this restaurant. Highly recommended!

The food was delicious, Service was excellent. The only reason I gave 4 stars was because as a former waitress I feel like the waitresses are suffocating with the uniform they are wearing. I’m not entirely sure what’s behind the story of the Emirates airline uniform it’s an Ethiopian restaurant it has nothing to do with Dubai. I would understand if it was something traditional. It looks very uncomfortable. Waitresses should feel comfortable the job is hard as is. I maybe wrong, but if you feel the same please gives this review a thumbs up. Overall everything was nice. The live music is a vibe!

Great experience. I loved the way they served the beef tibs. They were served on a small fancy stove to keep it warm throughout the dinner. Spacious enough for a big party or just for a duo. Family friendly. You can choose to sit outside if you prefer. Parking could be hard to find on the Georgia Ave. Ride-share or use public transport if you can.

I stopped in for a cocktail while in Silver Spring. They staff did not acknowledge my presence as I waited at the bar to order. They were not busy and I had to make an effort to draw their attention to order. Other patrons seemed to have priority. I did'nt think they were particularly friendly or welcoming. I would not recommend.

Authentic food and large portion sizes. Staff were friendly. However, our waitress mixed up several of our orders and completely forgot one of them. But great experience otherwise.

Langano is the best in authentic Ethiopian food. My favorite one is Special Kitfo. You can order raw or cooked. I have known it for the last six years. Amazingly consistent.

I know this place for over a decade, they serve a tasty food and the owner is a down to earth person. Visited yesterday evening with my buddy. The sever came to us with a great smile and passed the menu. We didn't want to eat, rather my friend ordered a beer and me a soft drink and I break the lady we didn't want to eat. All of a sudden her attitude and smile changed. That is completely fine with me but decided to write the review, hopping the owner will see it and educate the lady what customer service means in America.

I very much enjoyed eating the kitfo sandwich as a breakfast sandwich. It's a great combination of warn bread and melted butter, cool raw beef and spice. 4 stars instead of 5 because the incense they were burning inside was one of the worst smells I've ever experienced. Still, I'd definitely go back and pick up a kitfo sandwich!

Good portions and great food. During Covid they have a nice space to eat outside when it's warmer.

Great food and five star service. They treat you like they know you, and the food is always fresh! I love the cabbage and the yatekilt wot! The sambusas are made to order, and they always hit the mark!

Had a party of 11. Orders were taken 1 at a time and the waitress/Bartender dissapeared for chunks of time. All the orders took FOREVER to come out, part of my order never arrived, I told her to cancel it. While I love the food, the service is atrocious, they do6write your order down, just write it down and you can take more than 1 order at a time, the place is looking really run down, the bathroom is disgusting. If it's just going to be a bar, then let it be a bar and we will go elsewhere for Ethiopian food.

Really good authentic Ethiopian food.

Langano is one of a few Ethiopian restaurants on the Georgia ave. strip that has a variety of choices. Have been here a couple of times for takeout. For dining, you have a mix of low & high top tables as well a bar area with a TV. We ordered the veggie combo & Special Kitfo (usually order the regular). The two types of seasoned Ayeb (cottage cheese) take it to the next level! Also served with Kocho (fermented bread). Their Kitfo is also excellent-right amount of seasonings/spices although a little heavy on that decadent butter. Veggie combo was a nice complement with a good variety of items from Shiro, Messir, greens & beets to name a few. The ladies at the bar were friendly & offered coffee/tea while I waited for my order. One of the best for Eti food in the area!

My first time eating Ethiopian Food. It was good. I had the Fried lamb with Ethiopian spices. I just would ask for better customer service. Give me some water with my meal at least.

Great food. The night I went there they had some live music which wasn't bad but too loud for such a small space.

We ordered Derek tibbs and kitfo. The kitfo was good but the Derek tibbs tasted like over fried meat. And the waitress wasn't customer friendly.

A solid dive bar. Trendy, if you are a hipster. Small bar, two rest rooms, lots of food tables, large television, loud music, and a place for live music.

The best Ethiopian food outside of Ethiopia. What I love about this place is the consistency in test and portion. The owners are extremely friendly and always around to check in their guests. Their customer service is good especially compared to other Ethiopian restaurants in the area.
