My husband and I love this place. They are so consistent

I’ve been eating from this restaurant for some time now. I love the food but recently I purchased food from here and used cash. When I received my change back they gave me a counterfeit $20 bill. I didn’t realize this until I made a purchase at another store and the cashier brought it to my attention. So technically kept $20 from me. Very disappointed as I really enjoyed their food.

Fufu and peanut soup, delicious.

I’m Caribbean, but This is my favorite spot for great Cameroonian food. Their steamed Crocker with peppers and onions, Jollof rice, spinach, and plantains is what I dream about when I want a comfort meal. Service is always welcoming and friendly. Pro Tip: Ask for extra pepper sauce! Just a great family operated small business. Support them if you can to ensure they keep their doors open to us!

I must update this so everyone is aware. My husband, father and I went to the restaurant last night and we were charged for 5 meals. The old gentleman said prices had gone up so on our receipt he put "custome items " in stead of typing in what we ordered. One of these "custom items " cost $31.99. We were charged for 5 orders of plantians but we only had 3. I questioned the man's about this and he went back to the kitchen to get the cook. The cook verified what we ordered. I asked her what a custom item is and she didn't know. We asked them to ring up the ticket with the correct orders and our bill went down over $30. The man pressed a button and the original corrected price cam lr up. My husband and the cook watched the man enter the corrected orders and he wanted to charge extra here and there saying that prices have gone up. This time the corrected order was $35 less. The man hit a button and the original incorrect price appeared. The man expected us to pay for food we did not eat because prices have gone up. CHECK YOU BILL SO THE OLDER MAN DOES NOT GET OVER ON YOU!

When I visit MD , my go to African restaurant is Roger Miller. Food and customer service are excellent

The old guy needs to retire. The place is dirty, smells. I saw mousses. No customer service at all. Yelled and scream on customers. Doesn’t understand anything. Bad foods bad service. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

The minute I walked in my instinct told me not to eat anything cooked in there. The place was very dirty and smelled stuffy. I went against my better judgment and ordered the okra beef and gari fufu . The food tasted ok but each bites had particles of fish bones in it. Needless to say I have been having diarrhea all afternoon and currently sitting on my toilet at 2am. Never again . And don’t even let me get started on my order not even being started after I arrived 15 minutes past the given time .

The food was soo delicious in every way delicious and the customer service was outstanding. I definitely recommend Roger Miller Restaurant to anyone who loves food food. I will be a regular customer for sure, and I'm thankful for finding this restaurant.

The establishment was very dirty and unsanitary, I ordered eggusi it was very old and slimy not fresh at all with no flavor the Suya was not suya it was actually a dry piece of uncut hard steak with seasoned all salt on top the nothing had flavor and when I asked for a refund everyone said they don’t know English and ignored me my mom had to intervene if I could rate 0 stars I would

I can’t speak on the food as I wasn’t able to try it. I went recently with a friend and it was closed. We could see someone inside, but they didn’t open the door or answer the phone. We came during business hours. My dad enjoyed coming here years ago and I wanted to see it for myself.

If I could rate 0 I could. I ordered the egussi soup with fufu. Specifically told them only put one piece of chicken in it. When I arrive, there was 3-4 pieces of chicken and barely no soup. I really paid $15 for chicken and fufu. Guy at the front was trying to argue with me. Y’all look at this picture and tell me if I’m being petty or not. Never coming back

I spend my money and I always tip but I will never ever go back to this place the people are greedy towards people that's not African and even then there is always a excuse I have loss respect for eating out I will just saved my money and cook home I am very angry 😡😡😡😡 about this old food that had fish bone in it I will never ever come to this place ever again no respect

Every now and then, I need my country's (cameroon) traditional plates, and this is the only place close to me that offers it, so I order from here pretty often. And literally every single time I place an online order, they deliver with missing items! EVERY TIME!!

Normally I don't like to write reviews But this time I had to. It is my first time order from this place and it has been the worst experience. I order three orders of cassava leaves. the food was terrible no flavor at all . cassavas leaves was blended to much, the place is so dirty . And customer service is really bad. the lady at front don't even know how to approached to clients neither how to use a register is a shame. Please do not waste your money ordering from this place cuz is not worthy at all.

Food is delicious. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 stars is their cassava leaf was blended and looked more like a soup and was poured over my jollof rice. Returned that and got jollof rice with the grilled chicken. Finga-lickin! Oh my goodness, the chicken was grilled goodness. Had a nice grilled/charred flavor. The spice level was perfection! Yum!!! Would definitely patronize this small business again.

Owner Patrick, treats his customers like family..the food has been consistently delicious..well prepared & cooked to order. Roasted Tilapia with Jollof Rice and the House Veg... spinach. Not fast food call ahead so order is prepared with little or no wait at a reasonable price! Expect DELICIOUSNESS!😊🥰

Best cassava leaves and Shrimp Equsi

Had the mild fried chicken, I was shocked to find a long strand of hair in it. Overall, the other items (jollof rice & spinach) was bland.

Owned by the sweetest Francophone couple. Absolutely delicious food, which you can tell is home made. There are plenty of grilled meat options for those that aren't as adventurous. Highly highly recommended!

I just brought the roasted croaker dinner with jollof rice every time I go in this store it's always something this time they didn't even bother to scale the fish and when I called to let them know he complained about me telling him about the scales on the fish.

Went to picked up goat pepper soup. Place looks dirty and the food was very tasteless, almost vomited. I had to waste the entire food. Bad, experience, bad cook. Never going back again.

This was some of the worst food I’ve ever had. I ordered through uber eats and the restaurant lied to my delivery person and told them that they called me about substituting parts of my order with other items. They never called me. On top of that after opening up my order I realized I was missing items on top of the order not being correct. I called the restaurant regarding these issues and they insisted that I was lying and continued to argue with me. I tried eating what I was provided with but it was terrible. The beef tasted like it had been sitting in the refrigerator for a long time. And the Egussi wasn’t fresh.

A colossal waste of time. Ordered online for 4 people. Arrived 30 min after ordering, was told 15 minutes to be ready. They didn't even start making our food until after I arrived. Food came out an hour and half later. Multiple people arrived, ordered and left with their food in that time. Not worth a two hour wait.

Be careful! I was charged $10 extra than the shown menu prices. I was given excuses when I asked owner about the price difference. I felt ripped off.

Unfortunately I can’t even provide real feedback on the food. Because we ordered an entire array of items. Soup, plantains, goat stew, etc. Placed the order via Uber eats, and the driver arrived 10 minutes early with a drink and some Jollof rice and insisted they told him that was the full order. We called the restaurant where a man blames the delivery driver, saying they move to fast… then tells us to find someone to come pick up the rest of the order. (We ordered DELIVERY for a reason). And in the midst of speaking to Uber - he CALLS us back to ask “so is someone coming to pick it up”. What a joke- on the the next place because never again.

EVERYTIME I’ve came here the food was spectacular!!! Today I tried something new which was the fried croaker & Jollof rice with peppers. I also tried the groundnut stew with beef & plantain fufu as you see I had to eat some before I pulled off lol so good!! I have been ordering out at this restaurant for some time, same dish, baked tilapia with jollof,. My experience yesterday Friday 15th July 2022, was quite an experience. Orderded at 7.19pm, with an estimated delivery time of 8.11pm delivery. Driver texted me 8.39pm saying still waiting for order to be filled. Driver gave up..I called at 9 10..the old man said I should know that they are busy..said I could cancel if I wasn't happy..next I got call from Grubbhub telling me order is to be cancelled that was almost 10pm. Mind you there was a second driver now waiting for my delivery.. I have had not so good experiences before, and I gave them another chance to redeem themselves..this time though..2 plus hours later and owner tells me I should understand..least I expected was a lil apology, were kinda bust this evening..but neah..was told you may cancel your order. So am I going to go vackl? I may have to get my fix somewhere else..

Absolutely delicious. The owners are so wonderful and kind and amazing chefs. It has outdoor and indoor seating and feels cozy and professional. Definitely support this business it’s the best :)

Secret gem with authentic experience.

I still dream about the peanut sauce they served with my soft, lovely fufu and vegetables. (Adjatoughe, maybe? Whatever it was, it was amazing.)

some of the best food i’ve ever had! got the veggie delight with fufu and the ayaba entree (both vegetarian) and they were so delicious, satisfying, and great portion sizes. came in to order and then waited about 20 mins to take out. please be patient with the older gentleman behind the counter. he’s lovely and takes his time. i’ll be back for sure!

Very tasty vegetarian options!!! And affordable too. Some dishes can be quite saltier than other, I think to overcompensate for the bitterness in some dishes, but overall very delicious at a great price.

Okay so we came to D.C from Philly and the African restaurants wasn’t giving us that home cooked meal so we found this restaurant from google . I looked at the menu and instantly knew this restaurant wasn’t going to disappoint me . The food was delicious! I ordered food to take back home to Philly . The goat peanut stew was fantastic, and they give you portions plenty large enough. The guy I talked to who took my order, who I assume was Roger himself, had great manners and had lots to say about the items on the menu.

I go to silver springs about twice a year and Roger Miller's is always a place I make sure to go. This is a great little hidden gem and I highly recommend it. Make sure to get the fufu when you do go.

I enjoy coming here. I like the variety of West African dishes available. The service is always great and the staff is friendly. I'm picky about my Egusi but this place hits the spot. This is a long time relic in Silver Spring and I think this spot deserves to stick around. If you're ever in the area, definitely check it out.

The food was delicious and the owner made me feel like I was his own daughter. We drove down from Pennsylvania and he gave us free snacks for the ride home. It was such a wonderful experience. I can't wait to go back.

This is not much of a place if you're looking for ambiance bit if you're looking for delicious authentic african cuisine and a friendly staff this is the place. We got a huge order a little of everything and nothing disappointed. I even got a call from the owner later that night just to make sure our meal was up to par. Good on ya roger miller!

My first time, I went for something unconventional and I wasn't disappointed. Trying the "jollof" rice the second day was an astonishing experience. I was stunned by how much details were put into the preparation. Thanks for the experience! It's a pity I couldn't take a picture.

Love it! I always get food when I can. I hate that they sell their suya per stick and it is 1 stick for $3.00 with 3 pieces of suya so 1 piece of meat for $1.00! If there was a place closer I would have gone. The customer service is good tho' and they are really nice.

Awesome customer service and tasty balanced diet...the food garnishing is breathtaking....I will definitely go back....though the pepoersoup isn't like our Nigerian Igbo pepoersoup....but it's still ok.....bought egusi also and fufu, though I have not eaten that, bit the aroma alone will keep you salivating.....metre parking, but the quality food is worth the stress

The food was very salty. We ordered vegetarian options and the spinach was the best part. Everything else tastes like bland veggies covered in a salty sauce. The rice was good and had nice flavor.

This is a hidden gem in the downtown Silver Spring area. I go here often for lunch. I usually get a fish dish or the egussi stew. The spicy sauce they use is really good and its hot. Great tasting food and good portions. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The atmosphere is relaxing . They have amazing Egusi . Patrick is very personable about his customers . Extremely wonderful and caring workers . I would highly recommend this restaurant . Prices are reasonable .

The food here is good depending on what African dish you prefer. I love the jollof rice and the beef and chicken grill. Reminds me of food from my Nigerian household.... the egusi soup and fofo I was not thrilled about... my mom (from calabar) makes a much different soup. All in all, when I don’t feel like cooking this is my go to.

Large options so great value for money. Some of the foods didnt taste quite like what i am used to back home but i guess thats their spin on it. Everything was tasty though, which was the plus. I had rice and goat meat. Both tasted great. My friend had okro soup and some other soup i cant recall. He didnt say he hated it so i guess its a go. It's hard to find restaurants in this area with great West African cuisine. This is it! Reasonable prices and great selections.

We sat outdoors which was a rare treat. The servers were polite and at your beck and call. The owner, a personable Togolese native came by and chatted with the patrons. I ordered the grilled Tilapia which came with acheke. Big helpings guaranteed that I was taking home a doggy bag. I live in Baltimore and I can honestly say it was worth the trip.
