Immigration continues to benefit this country in so many ways, even foods we consider US staples are being perfected by communities of new Chicagoans bringing their unique skills from abroad. Before we had paleterias in Chicago we were limited to a few boring flavors in chains like Baskin Robbins. In my opinion, the best ice cream in Chicago is found at paleterias and Paleteria Las Delicias de la Michoacán is the best in Rogers Park. There are endless unique flavors to choose from here, all of the ice cream is made fresh onsite and every flavor I have tried is delicious! You cannot beat the quality and variety of flavors that Paleteria Las Delicias de la Michocana offers.

We went for dinner early. Restaurant was not busy. They delivered the wrong meal. When they did nothing to compensate for are meals taking twice as long as it should have, and we ate separately, I complained. They blames me and said I had changed my mi d on meal. I can not believe how rudely they treated us. Extremely disappointed. I will not return.

This cute little neighborhood palateria has the best Mexican ice cream and sweets!! Their coconut paletas de leche are the closest thing I've ever tasted to those old candies called Pink Ladies that Fannie May Candies used to make. Pure deliciousness for when you've got that craving for coconut that nothing else will satisfy. They have tons of amazing flavors for their paletas de leche and their ice cream. The lines are not usually long, either, and they are open late. This place is a must if you are in the area and love Mexican sweets!

I have been to this location multiple times in the last two months. The owner and his staff are incredibly welcoming and he greets each customer when they come through the door. The Pistachio ice cream is my favorite flavor maybe ever. You cannot go wrong with their popsicles either. Wonderful selection of paletas! They have a million flavors and they all taste so good! We love the vanilla, mamey, tamarind and pistachio. Staff is super nice and shop is spotless clean. Make sure to stop here.

Stopped here after the Indy 500 race which is a bit out of the way and it was well worth it. Located in an area with stately homes that are worth a drive around to see the architecture. My wife is Colombian and we have eaten South American and Caribbean food all over and this was some of the best that we have ever eaten. The empanadas were awesome s not different more puffier. Never disappoints! First visit since quarantine and the management did a great job adhering to CDC guidelines! There was a banquet tent out front with tables social distancing. Menu was available on your phone - so convenient! We tried new menu items spinach salad, smoked pork shoulder & Caribbean Coconut Curry (+ chicken) - all fantastic!! We also enjoyed their drink specials of Smoke & Stone & American Matador. So yummy! Staff is warm and inviting. Love this place!
