Our first visit to Lavender & Lace this week to celebrate our Mom’s 77th Birthday. This was a wonderful upscale and comfortable experience. The restaurant is in an old house surrounded by big trees and gardens. My sister uses a Walker and this was easy to access for her. We tried two (cups) soups ($6), Wild Rice & Mushroom and also Cream of Asparagus. Both were tasty and worth ordering again. For lunch we ordered Curry Chicken (pan-seared tenderloins marinated in yogurt sauce & zesty Persian lime cooked in showcase blend curry and served over seasoned basmati rice - $22), Cottage Pie (ground sirloin with garden vegetables, herbs, and spices topped with creamy mashed potato’s - $19), Crunchy Chicken (homemade baked chicken casserole with rice, celery& sliced almonds topped with cheddar, mozzarella, and crunchy crushed potato chips - $19) and Puff Pastry (tender pieces of chicken sautéed with broccoli in a butter cream sauce, served along w/ a delicate puffed pastry-$19). Everything was flavorful, large portions and we would order each item again. The Cottage Pie had the lightest flavor of each of the entrees we ordered. The Crunchy Chicken and curry Chicken were our favorites. The staff was very nice and friendly and our server was delightful. We also had a couple of different teas. We tried a berry iced tea which was really nice and a hot Snow Monkey Tea which was a light flavored tea. We highly recommend a visit to this charming and beautiful restaurant tucked away in a neighborhood in Lake Alfred, Florida.

I love Lavender and Lace. We've been going there for many many years. However on our last visit the service was terrible. From the hostess who was snotty, sarcastic, and rude, to the manager who lacked warmth and was cold as ice, to the server who was good at her job but never smiled, never showed any warmth to us in any way shape or form, we were very disappointed. We enjoyed the food and the ambiance very much as always. However I just don't understand how a place like this can treat people with such ice cold demeanors. If Lavender and Lace was not such a treasured tradition for my family, I would not go back. I sure hope that they examine their attitudes and make a point of treating customers with more respect, dignity and warmth.

Came here as a surprise from my boyfriend for our 1 year anniversary! Absolutely in love with the entire concept of this place! The food was actually so good it surpassed both of our expectations and genuinely made us so happy that we went there. I think this is the best place ive ever been in my entire life. From the aesthetic on the inside to the plants on the outside making it feel like youre in another beautiful universe. Ugh its genuinely a must visit location. You will not regret visit this place at all!

Enchanting place to spend a afternoon enjoying the best food and desserts surrounded by the Victorian theme decorations thruout the restraunt. Love going there and spending special moments with my friends. So gather your friends and take a trip to Lavendar & Lace and make some special memories to treasure.

We went with a dear friend today for her birthday. I made a reservation, which I highly recommend as the place was packed out. While we waited, we went into the gift shop. You must make a trip in there as well. The tearoom itself is breathtaking. You have to see it with your own eyes. There are no words to describe. Service was amazing. Tea and food were out of this world. We had the cream.of asparagus soup and the Chicken Casserole. Didn't get pictures but they both were so good. Can't wait to go back!

This is the perfect spot to enjoy a nice brunch with your friends, mother and/or grandmothers. The food is homemade and delicious, with a variety of teas, and a menu easy to read that’s not overwhelming. After brunch, take a stroll through the garden & gift shop.

Lavender ‘n Lace was wonderful! My husband and I wandered in after a morning of kayaking (not prepared or dressed for tea) and I’m so delighted we did! The tea was amazing, we ordered a pot of Chai and Snow Monkey Plum and they were both delicious. The Chai was perfectly spiced and warm and the Snow Monkey Plum was wonderfully fresh, sweet, and juicy. The shop is also so nice and has the cutest gifts and treats! We ran into one of the owners (Tabina, I believe!) and she was so kind and helpful. This is worth the trip and we will absolutely be back for more soon!

My 3 granddaughters and I had a wonderful time! They loved all the lights and decorations. One said we need to make this a tradition! Great idea!

Very cute quaint tearoom! out of the way but worth going just to experience it. the food was a bit pricy (which is expected for this type of place) but very tasty, and the dark chocolate mousse cake was incredible. I want to come back again to experience the afternoon tea! definitely a central florida hidden gem.

Very quaint and beautiful setting. The whole layout was spectacular. Enjoyed the decor and had an amazing garden and outdoor patio that really blew me away. Also their gift shop was very cute. The food was so delicious. Also had the coconut lime tart and chocolate mousse cake. Unusual for a teahouse to serve full meals, but really put it over the top. Our waitress was a delight and everything came out efficiently.

I was there with a group for our monthly ladies luncheon. We all agreed on one thing: food and service were excellent! We are planning on coming back sometime soon.

Food was delicious, a fun, unique experience in a cozy restaurant. Service was wonderful, everything top notch. Parking is cramped for how popular it is, but it's still worth a bit of a walk if you need to make one, to go.

Amazing hidden gem in central florida. The dishes are flavorful and creative, absolutely delicious. The atmosphere and decor are an absolute delight, transporting you to the era Rococo era. The staff were amazing and made sure my party had all we needed at all times, we didnt even have to ask for refills as their timing was immaculate

In awe! one of my new favorite places. The gardens are beautiful, the tea is amazing, food is delicious, and the service was spectacular. All around a truly unique and magical place. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area. Wonderful place to get some good photos, as well! Mediterranean Platter was absolutely delicious and very satisfying as a meal. Chose the Quiche of the day as well as the Tea of the day, Snow Monkey Plum, which was perfect-barely there sweetness from plums.

Everything was great, but it was really hot in there that day. Not sure if the AC went out. but I don't think we will visit again. Just went for a bridal shower. It was a good experience and a must try at least. The desserts are amazing. I had the curry dish and it was good.

Celebrated our daughter's 21st birthday there. She has always wanted to go to a tearoom. From the garden to the indoor atmosphere....beautiful. Food was so delicious. Caroline was so kind as well as the others who approached the table.The gift shop was lovely as well. We would definitely go again and highly recommend.

This is a beautiful little place! My wife and I showed up and didn’t have a reservation. They found a way to fit us in even though they were VERY busy. We had the Chicken Curry and Puff pastry as well as the asparagus soup as an appetizer. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. The atmosphere was amazing and I will warn you people show up dressed fancy even though there is no dress code haha. We left with our dessert of the Hummingbird and Blueberry-Lemon Cheesecake, equally delicious. Perfect portions so you can have an appetizer, entree and dessert. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

What an ahhmazing little jem located in Lake Alfred, FL. This place has wonderful and yummy food as well as sefvice. All handmade each day and it shows! The hummingbird cake is my favorite. The shop they have is quite exquisite with all the tchotchkies and goodies to display in your home or wear. I will definitely be going back here sometime soon!

We went to have lunch and celebrate my daughter,'s birthday. The service was great, very friendly server, and the food was delicious. We had requested the patio in our reservation but it wasn't open. The gift shop was something you could spend all day in. Beautiful. It was a wonderful experience and one we will do again and again.

Very amazing. Lavender and Tea room still marks its place as the best hidden gem in Polk county Florida. The history of this restaurant is so epic and unique, amazing how a family business from immigrants can turn into a place where people can enjoy after meetings, religious services, and events. Great food and love how very experimental and unique the food is and the teas are very exquisite and delicious. The servers are very nice and welcoming. Inside the restaurant reminds me of a grandmother welcoming you for a cup of tea in her old house with nostalgic furniture and china sets. Prefect score I would give it a 6 if I want. 5/50 :)

I love this spot! It’s so unique. The ambience is everything and the food is fresh and very delicious. The desserts have such a bold and delicious taste. Everything on the menu is great. The owner and his staff are so kind and friendly. You won’t feel rushed or stressed. Take a sip of hot or cold tea with free refills! Definitely a 10/10 for my friend and I. P.S. I have Haitian taste buds so it’s hard for me to enjoy food but this restaurant did not miss at all. I’m coming again with some friends next time.

A true gem tucked away on a residential side street of Lake Alfred. Busy with locals and our visiting snow birds during the winter months, but the staff does a great job getting everyone in and served. The food fresh , delicious and of course the desserts are Devine!!!

The waiters are very nice and they are kind and helpful. The food was so delicious considering it was my first time here with my family. The waiters are on top of everything and make sure you are comfortable with your seating. The atmosphere is wonderful and very calming when sitting outside with the fans and there are many plants and places to take pictures for memories. Junior was our waiter and he was so polite and helpful. He especially made sure that we got our food on time and let us know when our order was next. He was very kind and helpful with the food. The service was also very good and fast. Food was delicious. As my first time here with my family, it definitely was a 10/10

The food was delicious 😋and our service was top notch. We ate the Pasta Florentine, Crunchy Chicken, Bert salad and Fish Of The Day. We finished it off with dessert of Lemon-Blueberry Cheesecake and Chocolate Caramel Mousse Cake. The Black currant tea was special. We than walked down to the lake.

This was my second trip to Lavender and Lace, I'm not a tea drinker, but the food really was excellent. We were a bit rushed as the restaurant is small and we has reserved an opening time. The food came out promptly and my sister had ordered a cup of the Moroccan soup. Once we tasted it, we all wanted a cup of our own. I had the crispy chicken which doesn't sound like much but was so yummy I almost ordered another to go. We finished with desserts which were very good. The hummingbird cake and lemon blueberry cheesecake were the hits on that list.

Food was delicious, the restaurant is beautiful and great service. I will return.

I have been coming to Lavender n Lace for as long as I can remember! You're greeted with a smile upon entering. Sit tight because this place is super popular, and it's pretty normal you to wait a couple minutes to get a seat. Once you're greeted and your table is ready, your server will escort you through a room that takes you back time. Enjoy looking around and appreciating all of the fancy teapots and teacups that have been collected throughout the years. Your experience does not stop there, the food is so good! And you have to get dessert! When you're done eating take a stroll through the cute antique shop. If you stop in for a bite, try the Crunchy Chicken or the Shepherd's Pie! Two of our family favorites! And you might even get to speak with the owners, occasionally they'll come by and greet you at your table.

Atmosphere: I really like the ambiance inside and outside. There is serene greenery on the outside and a delicately decorated tea room on the inside. Food: I’ve been coming here for years. I used to order the chicken curry, and I am a serious curry lover, but it’s not a flavorful now as I remember it being so I do not get it anymore. The beet salad was good, and the roasted beef sandwich was good too. My mom always orders the crunchy chicken dish. Service: The staff has always been very kind. This restaurant has great service. Parking: There is a dirt/stone parking lot and also parking on the side of the road.

Over 1000 reviews and cumulatively 4.8 stars, for a restaurant?! Unheard of, but yes it is THAT good. Prices are reasonable too, but no matter what they charged it would be a good value.

Although in a remote spot in Lake Alfred the food, service and atmosphere are the best along with cool gift shop. I will be back again.

Love this little place. Off the beaten track. Good food and desserts. Restrictive hours. Check online. Make a reservation. Am going Monday with a group. Parking is tight, so we carpool. Seating also tight. I think it is wheelchair accessible. Restroom could use an upgrade. There is a little shop with tchotchkes to buy. They will allow checks to be divided by individual.

What a awesome place! We just went for a coffee and desert. All is make from scratch, so it's fresh and delicious. The place it self is a jewelry and everyone friendly. Super relaxing atmosphere. You have to go!

It's a very cute and cozy place. I had the chicken puff pastry, and my mother-in-law had the chicken salad on a croissant. My food was good, but the portions were very small for the money. Neither of us liked the chicken salad. It was sweet....as if sugar was added, not sweet because of apple pieces, etc. The tables are very close to each other, which isn't too bad except the waitress bumped my chair each time that she passed. We were in the pink room, with an awkward table against a wall where I literally was facing a mirror. The flavored iced tea with 🌺 and 🍊 was delicious, and the peanut butter pie and chocolate mouse were phenomenal. All in all, a very feminine experience, but to say that it was worth the money would be pushing it for sure.

Two of my daughters took me there for my Birthday! Yes, I paid! Very nice atmosphere, food was amazing, great view. We dressed up to make it more special. Walked the grounds and the shops just a little, nice photos. Server could have been a little more personable.

Our travels took us to the Lavender & Lace Tea Party Room in Winter Haven yesterday for my Mommy's 89th birthday party! We had a fantastic time, and we're greeted by most wonderful People. All of our dining choices were exceptional and the service was fantastic! My mom thought she was back in Jamaica for a little bit.

Cute place, service is attentive, desserts are fantastic, smaller portions for the cost. Lovely place for a ladies lunch.
