We made reservations on Resy a few weeks out for dinner on 8/11/23 and received an email notification that the reservation has been cancelled the morning of the dinner date. There was no explanation and no answer at the restaurant when I called. I walked by that evening and it was closed with no sign on the door.

Fantastic restaurant. Beautiful, understated interior. Elegant but practical dishes. Bone marrow and terrine starter is a must. The chef clearly has a vision, I love when there's a real sense of authorship to the dishes and the scope of the menu at a place. You will get that here! My only complaints are small, but had enough impact to affect my rating: Neither my steak or my boyfriend's scallops had a proper sear on the exterior. Both were fully cooked, but lacked that little maillard crust that people (like us) prefer these days. I know steaks need to rest, but mine arrived to me lukewarm. And lastly, the potatoes that came with the steak were overseasoned. They were more like fried potato skins, which can be nice, but next to a steak, I'd like some more potato content. If they'd been cut thicker it would have been an improvement. We'll absolutely be back, though I hope in the meantime that the kitchen irons out a few logistical issues.

Great food. The pork was really tasty. The beef was very good too. Service was fast and efficient.

Wandered in for Saturday happy hour, what an absolute treat! The anchovies/focaccia was insane. We splurged and got two desserts- the baba au rhum was to die for !

Probably the best culinary experience of my life. Food is amazing, staff could not be more friendly or accommodating. Can wait to return again and again. Def my new favorite place in NOLA

Absolutely lovely dining experience with choice ingredients, purposeful preparation, and great staff. We loved the ambiance and watching the chefs prepare the meal from the dining room. I love that you can pick several different small plates and share several things or you can choose the larger entrées. The bread service was so fresh and delicious as well. Will come again!

Soft shell crab sandwich on a bun with parmesan homemade fries very good, server was on point. $$$

Le Chat Noir was the best food we’ve had during our stay in New Orleans. We’ve gotten so many recommendations but they did not hold a candle to this recommendation we received from locals. Enjoy the delicately crafted dishes and excellent service!

I wondered in here on accident. I must say that the food, drinks, and service are stellar. Top shelf cocktails, interesting eats, hospitable staff. I will be coming in again, thanks y'all.

Went on a whim. What a treat. The bone marrow was a revelation. Really superb meal in an off the beaten path location.

Ingredients, cooking and the presentations were fine but each dish I was served had a dominant flavor that diminished the delicious quotient. Assuming this is true across the board - the chef will likely not be happy to hear this but this restaurant would be well served by bringing in someone with a great palate to tweak the seasonings and harmonize the tastes. It should not take much to accomplish this.

Good Gluten Free options. The house potatoes were stupidly good... I mean wow. I didn't know potatoes could be that good. Also really liked the sticky beets dish, and the grilled carrots dish on the tofu-based ricotta alternative. That stuff was magic (and I'm not vegan). We used that as dip sauce for the potatoes and... it was incredible. For the main course we ordered both the beef and chicken. Both were quite good, but honestly we enjoyed the small other dishes above better than the main course 😅. Had creme brulee for desert, it was good too, but not particularly extraordinary.

We had a wonderful time. The dishes were all killer no filler. Delicious oysters to start accompanied by the best boulevardier and Mai Tai I and my wife have ever had (and we just spent five days in Hawaii sampling them!). The bone marrow is a must. Beets, carrots, pork belly and the agnolotti were all excellent and paired with great wine. The chocolate pudding with fresh made madelines was spectacular. Our wait staff Smokey and Olivia were delightful and knowledgeable. One of the best fine dining meals we've shared.

I have eaten here multiple times. This continues to be some of best and most creative food in New Orleans

This was one of the best meals I’ve ever had! Our service with Olivia was stellar. Everything we had- oysters, pork, beef- was exceptional. Absolutely get the carrots- they were AMAZING.

Visiting from L.A., we found this place while looking for a dinner spot close by to our hotel and so happy we did! The food was top-notch and the service highly attentive even though the meals took a while to arrive due to the restaurant being super busy on a Saturday night. The vibe of the place is very New York — stylish, casual yet upscale — definitely a stand out from what we’ve seen from the restaurant scene in New Orleans.

One of the best meals I have had in New Orleans, which say a lot. The staff catered to mine and my daughter's dietary issues (both GF) and were extremely helpful. the restaurant is beautiful and the staff including the best dressed host I have ever met and our delightful server were fabulous. We had 4 courses, including oysters, which were fresh and delicious. Absolutely recommend the Pork & Beans (literally had dreams about them) as well as the Japanese Eggplant (the peppers!). All of the dishes were thoughtfully created with excellent food pairings. Wine and beverage recommendations were spot on as was the dessert. Looking forward to visiting New Orleans again, just to eat here.

Best meal we’ve had in a very very long time. Highly recommend going with a group and ordering a lot of plates. Every item we tasted was 5 stars.

Recently in New Orleans, and I regret only getting to eat here once AND only sampling such a small part of the menu! But let me say - THE BEST RAW OYSTERS. We got the half dozen of the Shucker's Choice, and I regret not ordering six dozen, lol. We sat at the bar and watched him shuck them, too. Probably the first time I haven't ended up with a piece of shell in my mouth as well. Great mignonette with champagne vinegar. We also had the pork belly, but the oysters were the star of the show for us. We shall be back to NOLA and Le Chat Noir!

Absolutely divine! The food was truly amazing. The drinks were 💯 on point. The beef was perfectly cooked! The ambience was great! Our service provided by Olivia was exquisite.

Ate here while on vacation in NOLA - it was easily the best dinner we had during our time there! I'm sure that any of the cocktails would have been good, but the Black Cat was a unique highlight of the beverage program. Other great dishes that we tried were the bone marrow on toast, stuffed quail, and the roasted potatoes. Service was friendly and personal, albeit a little slow, but we weren't in a hurry! Highly recommend for a nice dinner; near the St. Charles streetcar line.

Fantastic experience. Booked on the recommendation of one of our tour guides, who suggested it just for cocktails, and we ended up doing dinner instead which was the best decision. Didn't have any cocktails so can't comment on those but the food was fantastic and the service was great. Very enjoyable meal and they were able to accommodate food allergies well - let us know what I could have and were able to order many dishes (all safe for me) that the other three diners could enjoy too without any major modifications. We were able to have a true sharing-style meal rather than what often happens where I have to have my own thing while everyone else shares. I really appreciated that! The oysters, carrots and salmon were especially good!

Our favorite restaurant during our family's NOLA trip, and among the few which tested totally gluten free on items labeled GF on the menu.

The food was amazing!!!!! I felt like I was eating dishes from Next Level Chef! This place is a must try. The flavors were immaculate! Although I was confused on why we were charged a service fee & gratuity.

Incredible experience every time. Great spot for a date night or informal pop-in for oysters.
