Despite my aunt asking multiple questions about gluten-free options, the waitress did not inform her that the meal she ended up choosing was actually a sandwich. The menu says scrambled eggs, cheese, and bacon. It does not mention bread at all. So it was bizarre that the waitress did not say anything about this gluten-filled meal when we were ordering. She also never checked on us when we got our food, so my aunt had to scrape the eggs and cheese off of the bread so she could eat. At the end, we had to get up from our table and hunt her down to get the bill. We were one of two tables in the entire restaurant. The food was good, but needless to say, we feel no need to go back.

Cute little place. The food was average. I prefer my pastries on the lighter side. There Quesants And Other pastries were cooked a little bit more than what I like but still a tasty treat.

I highly recommend Le Val de Loire for your next culinary experience, you have to try the Quiche, it is absolutely delicious!

This is a delightful French eatery that has been serving patrons for quite some time. I ordered the breakfast platter, which was hearty and satisfying. My boyfriend opted for the classic waffles with a side of crispy bacon – a delightful choice! The seasoned French waitress, despite her struggle with the heavy door (which they should definitely fix!), provided friendly and attentive service. It's evident that the staff genuinely cares about their guests' experience. Plus, sitting outside on a nice day adds to the charm.

Very disappointed with everything. Far from a good French meal expectation. The pate was dry. I had also a boeuf bourguignon. It was bitter, vegetables undercook, to make it simple the dish has nothing to do with this French recipe. Same message for the dessert. And the service is mediocre. I hope that you will be open to make changes, because as of now your way of cooking is more to the level of a fast food with an expensive tag….

We were browsing around for dinner and found this place, we liked the vibe so we decided to check it out. We were hoping for authentic French cuisine but unfortunately this was a big disappointment. I do think the recipes are good but the food quality itself was subpar. As soon as my food was brought out, I could smell the stale possibly spoiled mussels, it looked good though. My hubby’s french onion soup was also sour and his main wasn’t fresh either. We left before getting the dessert we paid for. :(

I liked this place from the moment I walked in. It is a restaurant that is kinda divided into two sections. The section I was in was the bakery side. It has a nice area to sit also. The desserts on display all look delish. Those croissants are big. I did get a chocolate croissant and a pastry. They both tasted good. I wish I had bought more. I came for lunch. I got a chicken sandwich. It came with a nice salad. The sandwich was really good and so was the salad. The restaurant has big variations of crepes. I frankly did not know which one to get so I ended up with the delicious sandwich lol. The restaurant is really nice inside. The decor and low-light setting is very nice here. It is a nice place with a good atmosphere. The service was great. I enjoyed my time here

This is a Jewel in the Crown of Deerfield beach. The service is fantastic, ambiance wonderful and the food to DIE FOR. Not kidding or exaggerating, just come and try and then try to disagree with me. I ordered Rack Of Lamb Provancale which needless to say was unlike any other Lamb Chops I’ve had anywhere else, including the ones my wife and I cook at home. There are so many other nice things that I need to explore when I come here next and strongly recommend that you should too. I have to try their cakes!!!

Pastries were phenomenal! The bread pudding and the apple tart tasted amazing. The service there was very welcoming and sweet. I definitely recommend stopping but Le Val de Loire for a coffee and a pastry.

The food was good and the prices very acceptable for the quality. A little lacking in service but I recommend.

Always come here for dessert and crepes. Delicious baked goods and wonderful service!

This restaurant has been sold to new owners last year. This was previously our favorite restaurant in all of Florida. It was difficult getting a reservation, but worth it. Unfortunately, the new owners are unable to maintain the previous high standards. I do not wish anything bad upon them. I hope they might find their way forward. It’s my opinion the new owners are trying to continue the same food and recipes as before. This is very hard to do, even if trained by the previous owners. Rather than write a detailed review about what went wrong, I can only advise would be diners to be careful about what you order at best.

Tonight’s experience was a dining nightmare from start to finish. Started out with being told they had run out of chicken, mind you this was early evening and only one other table occupied. Then we got served cold soup, this was sent back to be heated. Came back as hot water with a sliver of chicken in the so called chicken soup. The main meals were another huge disappointment - chicken francese was 3 pieces of dried up chicken, no francese sauce, vegetable dish was undercooked and duck was dried up and served with mash instead of the fries that were requested. We were offered a coffee and dessert as an apology by the waitress who tried but had her hands tied by the owners. coffee was great as the waitress made these herself but dessert was another debacle. Crème brûlée was flan - when this was pointed out the waitress took it away and came back with squashed flan that had a flame run over top. The napoleons were half size of what was previously served with old owners and cream tasted off. We voiced our extreme disappointment to our waitress- she said she told the owners. With all the complaints, the owners never came over to apologize or try to make right during our meal. When the owner did eventually come over to our table, it was to give us a bill with no discount or free dessert. She got upset when she was questioned and tried to tell us it was discounted because it was part of the complete meal. I told her we were told we would have a complimentary dessert, not a so called discount which was part of the meal. She then informed us that there was a 4% charge to use a credit card. We asked where this was stated and she pulls out a sign from a shelf by counter. We refused to pay this surcharge. Not once did she offer an apology or try to make right but rather had an attitude with us. As new owners one would hope they would try to make an effort and if there is such a disaster of a meal, at the very least offer an apology.

If you"re looking for authentic French cuisine do yourself a big favor and skip this reataurant. You can get a cheaper and a better meal a McDonalds. My friends and I have frequented this restaurant numerous times in the past and everything from the food, the service and atmosphere had always been top notch. BiG changes on my latest visit with three friends for dinner. Restaurant was sold six months ago and to say the food has gone from fabulous to horrible is an understatement. The soup of the day was ice cold and was flavorless, the chicken francais main course consisted of a fried chicken cutlet with a side of cold rice. Lets talk about dessert. The Creme Brule was.actually flan. The once delicious Napolean was a thin log filled with awful tasing creme. The new owners were on site and did not visit our table once to apologize. Server was friendly and efficient and the one positive of the evening. This French restaurant, sorry to say has gone from a 10 to minus zero. Dont waste your money here. I cant rate the food because it truthfully it is not worth rating. 👎👎👎

Everything sold out service very slow food was stale charged 30 for coffee would not return

We have been here several times over the years. This year it wasn’t the same. We were told new owners in July 2023. Service was disorganized and slow. Pate’ was dry, duck was okay, but not great. Lamb was too peppered, sorbet was icy. It has lost its sparkle.

I'd been to this restaurant for lunch a year ago, and wanted to try dinner. My husband and I ordered from their complete dinner menu. Wine by the glass is not on the menu but they said they had it, so we each got one, which came out in a mini carafe, not full--$12 each! The dinner price was otherwise very fair for a soup or salad, entree, dessert and coffee/tea. The vegetable soup of the day was excellent. We each got a chicken dish, but they brought my husband the same dish as mine, which was wrong. The kid who brought it out to us did not apologize and told us to "yell at your waiter." Since it was at least chicken, my husband decided to keep it rather than wait any longer. A long time passed with nobody checking on us, and when our waitress showed up, we told her we had the wrong order. Again, no apology, only that she put in the correct order. The desserts were good. When we got the bill, we were charged different prices than what was on the menu. The waitress said she needed to ask the boss. They did bring an adjusted bill, but why do you have incorrect prices in the first place? It is unfortunate that terrible service can otherwise ruin a very good meal.

Discovered this amazing restaurant a few weeks ago. The food was excellent. If you like duck, you will be blown away by their dish. This is definitely a place you want to take your time and enjoy yourself. I hope to return next time I'm in the area.

Recently I called the restaurant to ask one simple question. " What is the range of prices on your dinner menu?" There are NO prices listed on website. I was rudely told by the person who answered the phone that I can look on the web. I explained there are no prices listed. I politely ask again what the range of prices were and her reply was " I'm too busy" REALLY? It was 330 pm. ! I guess that Attitude will give me pause to ever dine at this restaurant. RUDE behavior and attitude are just not acceptable.

I went there on Valentine’s Day and had the worst service that I have ever had in my entire life. The food happened to be very good, though. I called up and spoke to the manager the next day and while I was telling her the problems with the meal she hung up on me! I am a restaurant reviewer for Zagats and the service and the attitude of the manager is completely unacceptable! This is a restaurant to avoid.

The wait staff needs training! Extremely slow service when we first sat down; only water, but no menus, no one took a drink order. The servers walked by several times, but did not make eye contact. It became almost humorous! My husband’s meal arrived at least 7 minutes before mine and a woman came to ask what I’d ordered. When I told her, she confided that our waitress doesn’t know how to take orders. Good food, nice atmosphere, and high prices should come with decent service.

When we got to the restaurant our table was ready on time and it was Valentine’s Day evening. We waited 20 minutes to get water, bread, and to place our orders. We started with three onion soups and a Caesar salad. 20 minutes later two soups arrived and an apology for not having the other soup and salad. 5 minutes after the arrival of the other soup and salad, The entrées arrived. My friends ask them to take the entrées back to the kitchen to keep them warm and they refused! By the time they finished the soup and salad, their entrées were cold and had to be remade. My wife and I had finished our dinner by then, she had mussels and I had steak au poivre. My potatoes were cold and they were supposed to bring me new ones but never did.I asked for more sauce for my steak and it never came. When my friends finally got their entrées, they were prepared well. I must say, that all of the food was delicious. My server admitted to us that she was not a waitress; she worked in a bank! I asked to see a manager and they said there was no manager in the restaurant. I can’t believe that it was a holiday evening. 2 of us had napoleons for dessert and they were excellent. The other two had crêpes with chocolate and it was served barely warm and spongy and under done. I called the restaurant today to inform the manager about our experience and she hung up on me. They ought to be ashamed of themselves. I traveled over 45 minutes to come to this restaurant! I am a restaurant reviewer for Zagats and I go out to many restaurants. This was the worst service I ever had in a restaurant and the managements refusal to hear about my experience says a lot about that restaurant. It is a shame because the food was very good! Gary M. It’s terribly that we come here every year for Valentine’s Day and the service hasn’t improved. The food and prices are good but it puts you off that you wait so long and can’t find a server to help you.

I asked my husband to bring me home an almond croissant since he was in the area and I was home sick. What I got was a pitiful excuse for a pastry. Somebody took an old croissant, sliced it open and dumped a gob of almond paste in the middle, and sandwiched it back together. Then topped it with some sort of sticky glaze. That is not an almond croissant. It was not good. And to top it all off, there was a hair in it. As a French restaurant, I had higher expectations.

Server took order and we never saw her again. Terrible service waited way too long for food and my food was cold. Not worth it.

It was our first time at this restaurant and we were impressed. The food was generally good, I had the duck which was probably the least good of the all the dishes but was still good but not exceptional. Other dishes included sole, mussels and liver which everyone that was very good. Service was efficient and not rushed. Portions were the right size, very appreciated. We only had one dessert, cheese cake which was delicious. Very well priced.

First time eating here. I had breakfast. The food was good. I had a veggie omelette and a chocolate crosaint. I liked that the eggs were very fluffy and the veggies flavorful. I don’t mind that they added a 20% gratuity because I would of tipped my waitress that anyways because we did have good service. I don’t like that I’m not told that it is added in. I always look at the bill however my husband does not. My husband paid cash and the waitress returned with the wrong amount of change and that made me look at the bill. So we would of double tipped and she shorted us 10.00 in change. I don’t like that.

Ordered mussels. They were chewy and gritty. French fries were like wet noodles. Filet of sole had zero taste. Napoleon for dessert was wet and the creme Carmel had maple syrup poured over it- disgusting. I left starving. I told the hostess who said she would tell manager. The wine was ok. The waitress was nice. There was a shouting match between 2 employees not far from our table. I will never go back.

Food and service were outstanding. The only thing missing was the type of music played. No french music, just general pop music. In the past it was always French music. Very disappointing. Will patronize other French restaurants that transport you to Paris with music as well as food and service. We asked and were told the manger likes pop music. What about the customer and the ambiance they looking for?

We found this place by chance. We planned to have breakfast at The Modern Rose, where we go monthly. We had to change the plan because TMR was too busy. Walking in the same strip mall, we found Le Val. We decided to try it. The quiches and the coffee were good. Unfortunately, the waitress was beyond rude. When one of us (we were five) said she did not want coffee, the waiter asked her why. I do not remember ever giving a reason to a waiter why I did not want to drink coffee in a restaurant. Then, we asked her if she could bring our bills separately. She answered, "no". At this point, I was ready to leave. But this is a group of very nice sixty-year-old friends. In the end, we left her a 20% tip because we figured out she was so horrible due to a difficult time in her life. None of us plan to come back.

The lamb chops were excellent. Definitely going back.

Went there with my husband because he said he had gone there for lunch and had the mussels and they were great. We went there for dinner and I ordered the calves liver medium rare and it was brought out raw in the middle. It was previously frozen. My husband ordered the Romanian steak and mashed potatoes and he didn't like the spices on the steak and he said the mashed potatoes were cold. Service was slow and not good. No compensation for the raw liver. Would not go back. Mussel Beach in Delray has great mussels with a very generous portion and great service

Was disappointed the minute I looked at the menu, not a lot of options. Some stuff were very expensive for no reason. Not a lot of options for breakfast/brunch as a french bakery. They didn't have any sweet crepe options, beside Nutella crepe. We had the quiche, didn't really like it, the taste wasn't right to me, and too much bacon. We had the scramble egg PLATTER.... which was just eggs and salad.... if you wanted the potatoes and bacon that was under the platter description, you had to pay extra, which we got. It didn't make sense to me, but okay. I think a platter should have 3/4 items included. Also, I was excited to eat the salad, but there were some dead leaf in there, and mushy stuff... the lettuces weren't washed properly or at all. The eggs cooked easy, and potatoes were good really good. The chocolate croissants was okay. It's hard and not a fresh taste, and it wasn't even warm before serving it. The food looks very pretty in pictures but needs some care in the kitchen.

I had dinner at this place and it was a really bad experience. The service was terrible. The owner and the staff were super rude, rolling their eyes and acting like they didn’t even want to serve us. It was really disrespectful. I wouldn’t recommend going here. They don’t know how to treat customers right. Save your money and go somewhere else where they actually appreciate your business.

Do not go there. The lady that served us rude. When I asked about something someone was eating she told me to look on the menu then she saw it was not on the menu she walked away. She spilled the hot chocolate for my child and didn’t even acknowledge it. The cream puff and croissant was good. The quiche my husband and I got was really bad. Just crust, frozen spinach, and melted cheese. There was no eggs in it. The bill came and she charged us a 25% gratuity.

Really cute atmosphere. They were under staffed. But in all fairness, it's Thanksgiving and they were the only place open. We were happy to find a place open. Food was OK. It's expensive and I don't feel the prices are in line with quality of food. Just to note, there is an automatic 25% gratuity added. I appreciate server's need to make a.fair wage and can get stiffed but an automatic 25% seems excessive.

I tried the Flan and disappointed. Much to dry and very little flavor. Flan needs to be gooey and flavorful. Anyway, I still have a chocolate croissant to go. Hopefully, this won't disappoint.

We enjoyed a great meal at this delicious French restaurant. The filet was cooked perfectly, the duck was delicious. The French onion soup was delicious. For desert we enjoyed an apple tart, napoleon, creme caramel & cream puff, all were great. Chef Eugene has come into his own leading the kitchen and our server Laura was attentive and friendly. Can't wait until we return.

I previously gave this restaurant a high rating, but had to amend it. My recent three visits were characterized by simply bad food, and miserable treatment by the staff. They are a local business, which I have enormous respect for, and I’m willing to pay more to support this community. Even if it was just the food I would not have changed my review, but the management here is simply rude, nasty, and unpleasant. As you can tell from the photo of their posted policy of rudeness, they have no interest in their customer’s opinions. They have decided that their grocery store croissants and Hershey chocolate are gourmet, and even the most polite suggestion otherwise will set their manager into a humiliating rage that will ensure you will never want to return. By far their food is not bad, but the quality of their management makes even the best food on earth not worth of visiting this business.

Food and pastries are both good but had an unpleasant experience. When paying for take-out pastries we were told an automatic 20% gratuity was added and the lady checking us out was rather aggressive about it. I would not return.

Authentic French menu, but food is tasteless. Poor quality and management did not make it right! Will not return or recommend! The staff was delightful, very professionally and insisted on doing the right thing but Eugene (management) said no!

All food from frozen, they do prepare before and then serve it. So when I order crepe with chocolate, it comes cold and not fresh. I asked for chief, he came and told me I am not cooking fresh and only could reheat it. If you like to get fresh cooked crepes go to restaurant next to us.

We had complete dinners, Duck was very good as was the Sea Food Gratin. We opted for the onion soup in lieu of the soup of the day, the broth was excellect however, it had few onions and it was overload with bread. Overall we enjoyed our meal.

My mother went today to this place with my wife. Apparently the crepe took fir ever because the prima donna chef was on the phone. But the worst part was at the end. They tried to charge around $40 more!!!! They added deserts that she didn’t order and extra tip that she never approved. This is an alert for other customers! Check your bill before paying here.

We have enjoyed Le Val De Loire Restaurant on several previous occasions but this time it was an off night. Maybe a new chef. They have complete dinners that includes Soup du Jour or House Salad, dessert, and regular hot tea or coffee. You can add an appetizer for an additional charge. I started with one of my favorites, Escargots de Bourgogne, snails in garlic butter, lacked garlic and just plain.. My wife ordered the French Onion Soup, sautéed onions, homemade broth, croutons, and topped with Swiss cheese, good. For mains, I chose the Frog Legs Provençale , sautéed with garlic, parsley, rice, and a vegetable medley. Just fair My wife tried the Seafood Crepe which included shrimp, scallops, lobster sauce, and Swiss cheese, just OK. For dessert, we had the chocolate cake and Napoleon, both very good, made on premise and Cappuccino. The desserts were the best part of the dinner.

I went with two friends for soup (I had) and coffee and dessert. We were cheerfully greeted by the hostess, however, when we asked if we could just have dessert, her demeanor changed. Our server kept disappearing and talking in the back and we could not order until I actually walked over to him. There were three tables eating dinner and because they were regulars. the staff kept clammering over them, while we were continuously ignored. I expressed my dissatisfaction to our waiter and he walked away. The hostess kept refilling the water on the table right next to us while our glasses were empty and never refilled. We were initially considering going there for dinner one night but now would never return. I wrote that I would be reviewing the establishment on the check and the owner came out to our car and apologized. With how little business they had when we are there, I would hope that they would wow us with service...Sadly it was the opposite.

This restaurant offers an enchanting, romantic escape to France... in a Florida strip mall! The staff is French, and much of the clientele is Francophone, too. The wine list is excellent. Much of the food is delicious, and all of it is prepared with care; the homemade desserts (napoléon!) and the vegetable side dishes (ratatouille!) are standouts. My husband loves the boeuf bourgignon. It's about as lovely as strip-mall dining gets, with a romantic ambience inside and out, a stone's throw from the canal and the beach. And what the service occasionally lacks in professionalism, it more than makes up for in love, personal attention and charm.

Super nice staff, but Jesus himself couldn’t save this place. I’m sure this was once a wonderful restaurant, but QA/QC has disappeared. They were taking staff meals in front of customers, cell phone calls on the restaurant floor, and our entrees were inedible.

Excellent French Restaurant in The Cove.

I have had my eye on this French bakery/restaurant for quite a while and was given the opportunity to try their perfectly made latte and a mouth watering cheese danish and chocolate chip bread pudding. Met the most beautiful French woman behind the counter, she was not only gracious, but courteous and honestly one of the sweetest people I've had the pleasure to encounter. Treat her right, she is an absolute gem!

This place is absolutely amazing, the food is packed full of flavor, the sheer skill of chef Eugene’s cooking is fantastic. The service by Chris was great as well. Amazing place to visit at any time of day !!

Loved this restaurant. The meal was outstanding; unbelievable. We chose the menu which included soup or salad, entree, dessert and coffee. The prices were very good and the staff was amazing. Couldn’t be more helpful and accommodating especially with our allergies. We had a table in the second room by the window, my favorite place This was our first time and It certainly won’t be the last. Thank you so much.

Disappointing. I thought the wait staff was terrible. And it is not our first time that we've been there. Don't know if we'll return. Food was not up to par. I'm wondering if it's under new ownership.

Avoid at all costs. Overpriced, underwhelming, unorganized staff. Wouldn’t return here under any circumstances.

Had dinner with my husband tonight. Ordered onion soup which was outstanding, my snails We’re just the way I like them. ,my husband ordered the curry mussels in cream sauce. They were also very good but his preference would have been without the curry.French fries with majo were great,crepe Suzette flame were delicious, and hubbys bread pudding was good as well. My express coffee was wonderful . Even took home a baguette and two croissants.perfect ending to a wonderful experience. Service was outstanding as well. We will definitely be back. Thanks to the chief and great staff.

Great service. Good food. Decent prices. I recommend.

I have never had escargot that were totally inedible. My appetizer and one of my favorites, so it did not set a good tone. I had the filet mignon whcih wa served au poivre accompanied by lukewarm mashed potatoes and ice cold unidentifiable melange of vegetables. The bread served with the escargot was small dinner rolls I would be ashamed to serve to my guests. The dessert I chose was a sugar crepe which they might have called a sand crepe. They also somehow managed to cook my medium rare filet with one end beyond medium well and the other end merely medium.
