I just wanted to share that I tried a new pizza place and it was amazing! I ordered the "Dead Man's Party" pizza and it was one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The dough was full of flavor and the toppings were great. It was my first time trying this place, and I'll definitely be going back..

Pizza took about an hour, and they seemed understaffed. Pizza was good I would come back again.

Great hidden gem pizza place. They have space outside for kiddos to play and seating inside to stay out of the heat! We got the veggie pizza, cheesy bread, and "don't stand so close to me." They have a great bar selection and a fun atmosphere. The pizza is delicious! Amazing crust!

This is a place not on our normal path. We came thanks to Dave Portnoy, and we are glad we did. The pizza was excellent and the rotating beers on tap is very local and good. We will certainly come back again after a day of brewery hopping in Tampa Heights.

Stopped here on our way home on a Friday night after a long day at the water park. I was skeptical because of it being a “grocery store” lol but with a 4.8 star review, I was willing to give it a try. We got lucky getting a table because it was busy. We were greeted by more than one person, super welcoming atmosphere. You can tell the servers work really well together as a team. The pizza was amazing! It came out fresh and hot. The crust is flavorful and has just the right crunch. When we are in town again, we will be back!

Just had a few slices from Lee's Grocery, a solid little neighborhood pizza and six pack shop like you'd find in Portland or Denver. Lived here four years and there's no best quality comfort pizza on a random weeknight with a great atmosphere. Take out is easy. Parking is a challenge.

Came in to try the pizza. Found out it's a small neighborhood bar that has a very familial feeling where regulars can come to feel at home. Seems like everyone that came in knew everyone else there. The pizza was delicious and the staff was friendly. I can see how this could be a neighborhood favorite.

Have been here a couple of times tonight I went when I sat down at the bar an hour before the kitchen closed. I was reminded of the time that the kitchen closed, and when my pizza came out, it got turned to me in a box when I questioned it, I got attacked verbally and chased out of the place… Don’t run if you’re a misanthrope this is your place

Apparently very busy on the weekend, so get there early. On a random Thursday, it was really nice for a drink and pizzas/beer. Service was on point, grabbed us beers before we were out. Pizzas were hot and flavorful. Wings were mild, but we'll seasoned. Would come back and would love to live in the neighborhood and walk to this great little place!

This is a great local pizza joint. It's nestled in the cutest neighborhood and has a great selection of beer. They've got refrigerators lining the place where you can pick out the can of your choice. They also have a few local options on draft. The specialties pies are really different than most laces, we loved the Kiki Do You Love Me and recently tried the Minor Threat with added meatballs and we loved it too! Wings are amazing, you've gotta order them and we recommend getting a smaller pizza so you can eat it all.

Amazing low-key, laid back, place to hang out with friends, grab one of their many niche brews, and get some great pizza and wings. All around awesome place with great staff. A hidden gem. We need more of these in our neighborhoods.

This restaurant is great hidden gem. It's a historic building that was built in 1884 and was originally a grocery store. That's why the name "Lee's grocery"still remains. The atmosphere is very laid back. The service that we received was very nice too. The pizza was very tasty and had plenty of styles to choose from. There is a wide selection of beers and sodas. There is a outdoor patio that is fenced-in and pet friendly. The owner is very friendly and down-to-earth.

Everyone who has been to Lee’s grocery can attest to how good the pizza and wings are, not to mention the great energy of this local corner bar. They serve wine and beer and have a huge selection of self serve beers. It’s tucked away in a residential neighborhood in Tampa Heights, right outside of downtown. Fun fact I did drive here during a hurricane evacuation to try to get wings.

Skeptical of all the pryer reviews that all raved about this pizza joint, but once walking in, I could tell the hometown Vive was in full affect. Ordered a simple pepperoni pizza with fresh basil and the flavors were outstanding. Not a soggy pizza, but with a firm grip, I could taste, the ingredients ingrained inside the pizza from the homegrown cheese to the fine pepperoni that was attached to it. I would recommend this place for one of the best pizza establishment in the Tampa area.

Pizza was 🔥 so so good. Great beer selection, owner made sure everyone outside was comfortable, and had bug spray. She even stopped for a few min and chatted about pizza and beer with us, as I work at another pizza and beer spot. Get there!

The pizza here is phenomenal. Super crisp crust and flavorful sauce. Street parking is available all around and the restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating.

It was super busy and loud, but not offensively so, but this was probably the best pizza I have ever had! I mean, it was good good. I've had pizza all over the world. I've had Chicago pizza in Chicago, New York style pizza in NYC, and a handful of other cities but this pizza is probably top 5 world wide. Maybe top 3... I have to do a taste test that wouldn't really be practical because it's going to be like having NYC Chicago, and a ton of California places all in the same spot just to determine who is actually best. This is premium pizza, and if they mess with their formula it wouldn't keep the flavor. What I mean is, it's a small place and it takes forever for your pizza to come out... HOWEVER!!! if they were to get a larger place, bigger oven, or change anything, they risk losing what makes it so special. This can't change, you have to wait your turn and if this were to try and be anything bigger, faster, or even more lucrative... it just would detract from the whole experience. Go here, sit in the place, have some beer (even the non alcoholic beer is good! For real!!) Be patient and soak in the authenticity of the place, and all the years it's been since the place opened, and see if you agree. Can't beat this place!

The food and atmosphere is pretty good, coming from a Tampa local! It’s away from 7th, so you wont get the huge influx of people you normally would see on the weekend! Make sure to try to the wings and ask for Tarah! She will make sure you’re taken care of!

My friends and I stopped in here for some food, drinks, and football a few weeks ago. The wings were some of the best I've ever had. We also had some specialty pizzas, Kiki Do you Love me, and the BBQ chicken pizza, both were amazing! Their cheesy bread was the best I've had. We had some great beers as well, I'm definitely going back!

Family-friendly Neighborhood Bottle Shop / Pizza Joint with indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is difficult, so ride your bike. It's exactly what everyone wants in a neighborhood joint. I've had the pizze twice and think it's top 3 in Tampa City. The pizza and wings are incredible. I'm excited to try something different next time!

First time trying Lee's Grocery as I saw a post on Facebook and many people raved about the pizza. I believe the pizza we tried was called the Hanging Garden it was just ok compared to a few other favorite pizza joints in Tampa. We may be back to try the wing🤷🏼‍♀️

This IS the best pizza in town. It's has an outdoor area that's very nice. Every beer are your choices, they have A BUNCH of beer..

The only saving grace is that the food is good. Holy heck it’s impressive how consistently slow they are. We normally are aware of this and call our order to go and just get beers there but even then it’s painstakingly slow. We like the food but it’s honestly not worth the 30 minutes waiting at the bar for someone to take your order or close out your tab.

We were excited to try this place after it being recommended by my coworker and then seeing the stellar reviews, but it was a miss for us. We ordered the garlic parmesan wings and a large pie, eaten there, so no travel time. The wings were the biggest dissapointment, they were mushy. The skin was soft and gelatinous, which is not our preference. I have had smoked wings before, but never this texture. If you like crispy wings, then these will not be for you. The flavor was ok, but we couldn't get past the texture. The pie was ok, nothing wrong with it - if you're a fan of dominos-style, then you'll like this pizza. I hope this helps someone who was considering this place for dinner, and maybe wasn't sure if they would like the food.

Some of the best pizza and wings!! When we’re nearby, we make sure to stop by to eat and/or take something home. The chicken was very tender and the sauce on the wings was chef’s kiss. This was something odd (idk if this is normal) but someone was handling a big uncovered baking tray of the wings (not sure if they were cooked/uncooked) in the freezer and that was a bit unsettling. Anyways, the bbq sriracha is unique and hits the spot. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

Awesome joint for tasty pizza and wings. Outdoor patio for your canine friends. Exceptional service. Parking is limited as it's surrounded by housing with no parking lot. Residents are understanding as long as you don't block a driveway and follow no parking signs. Definetly going back. Spouse and I liked their pizza better than Eddie and Sam's. Both are good though depending on your mood. Not a thin crust pizza here.

My husband and I love coming here after a downtown bike ride. The staff seems to be turning over a lot lately, which is sad, but the beer is still great!

Not a fan of this place at all. When I spend 100 bucks on 3 pizzas to go and still leave a 20 dollar tip for handing me the boxes, the last thing I’d expect is for someone to quibble with me about charging for some little cups of ranch dressing. I get it cost of food prices etc, but how about cost of return customers? As soon as the guy said he’d have to charge me, all eyes shifted my way. That’s annoying enough when you’re not looking for attention. Keep the dressing there’s plenty of good pizza where they won’t nickel and dime you and in way better neighborhoods than this.
