This was my first time to eat here but DEFINITELY NOT THE LAST! The employees are very nice and the food is DELICIOUS!!😋 There's a relaxing sitting area outside and the interior atmosphere is casual. I had the grilled catfish and grilled shrimp with hush puppies and a side salad. And my husband is going to be HAPPY when he sees his fried catfish with hush puppies and onion rings for dinner!!🤩

My son and I are visiting Natchitoches from the Houston area during his spring break. We stumbled across this adorable cafe. After discovering it benefits local youth, we had to try it out. Wow, we were so impressed!!! The restaurant is well maintained, clean, and vibrant. The food was fantastic and very reasonably priced and the staff (special shout out to Mr. Michael!!!) made us feel right at home. I highly recommend you stop by and check out Legacy Cafe.

What a surprise! We found this cafe near Natchitoches, LA, while traveling I-49 from New Orleans. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and service. GREAT food! for a good cause too!!! Worth driving 3 miles in to find it!!!!! Try it out!!!! I ate dessert first!! All homemade cooking with awesome presentations. Homemade done right!!!! BEST broccoli salad I have ever eaten!!! My husband also taste tested a new meat pie recipe for the cook....he said it was DELICIOUS!

Everyone and everything was good. Looking forward to going back again.

Great food and location, but even better customer service. The owner was so pleasant and polite. I enjoyed talking with her. She saw that my pancakes were on the dark side and stated that she would go to the kitchen and remake them for me. I am not from the area, but if I'm ever back there, I'll make it my business to revisit as the fish and grits were AMAZING!

Good homestyle breakfast. The staff were kind of awkward, but I know lots of them are part of their educational training program, so I didn't mind. They're probably new. I also didn't realize how much of a black space this was. I'm comfortable on black spaces, but I often worry that my presence will make others uncomfortable.

Workers were friendly but food took forever. Atmosphere was pretty good.

I had a Black Bean burger and it was amazing!! The food was very fresh too - they have their own garden nearby. A good, relaxed atmosphere too - the owner is really nice!

Legacy Cafe rocks... Good ole Southern Downhome cooking at it's best! The wait staff is very cordial and attentive. And the food is excellent ~ give it a try!

Serendipitous place... Wasn't expecting the little oasis that it is. Soul food meets health food. I walked in to the place with a hip but relaxed BoHo feel piping in smooth jazz - but really just functional. Food was a great mix between comfort food and fresh/healthy dishes. I really enjoyed my homemade vegetarian black bean burger that was falling apart like a sloppy Joe with sides of salty turnip greens and a fresh fruit cup. Inspirational vibes underlie the restaurant's purpose to support the local community and it added to the flavors. I do think the offerings could be improved a bit (upscale the buns and tweak the potato salad recipe) but the current value is hard to beat as is. I'll be back!

Nice little Cafe. When we didn't want what was on the lunch menu, they found another menu and let us know what they could provide. We had the club and gumbo. Thought the gumbo was great. Club had a bit of a fishy taste I wasn't crazy about. Staff was great.

We didn't realize what this Cafe was until we pulled in. Not your stereotypical diner. If you're going for a fast meal this isn't for you. If you want to help kids/young adults out who are trying to stay on the right path, this place is great. After reading about what this Cafe is trying to do and it's mission, I'd say our meal, that was extremely cheap for a ton of food was well worth the wait. The lunch/dinner menu changes daily and you have a couple options. We had breakfast and it was great I thought for the price!

This place is beyond AMAZING! The young lady who waited on us was super sweet. Do not sleep on this spot. The chef Karen.....AMAZING! Food is cooked fresh and the portions are huge. We had pancakes, French toast, and grits with shrimps. Encourage you to come and visit. You will not be disappointed 😌

I had no idea this cafe was actually a lab for students at a vocational school. Young people learning everything about running a restuarant. That being said, the food was terrific. The entire facility was squeeky clean. I think the guy we paid was a professor. I loved all the local history on the walls. This is a VERY local place to eat and I recommend the experience.

Amazing gumbo and club sandwich, beautiful, clean dining room and outdoor seating. Friendly service and a great community-focused mission. They even have locally produced meats and veggies for sale and a little free library in the courtyard. We happened to stop by without knowing anything about it while driving back to Dallas. It was 100% worth it to take a short detour from the highway. Please support this wonderful small business!

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and super friendly people. It was also super clean! My husband had the burger and I had the turkey sandwich. Hands down, some of the best food! Everything was so fresh and perfect! The french fries have this amazing seasoning! Do yourself a favor and try this place! They also have daily lunch specials. We have absolutely found a new spot for when we travel through! The entire experience was absolutely perfect!!!!!

I ordered a smoked turkey club to go. Never have eaten here before I thought I better order 2 of them Incase the sandwiches were small. I really can put some food down. When I got home and took them out of the bag, I couldn’t believe how big these clubs were. Monstrous and delicious. It was all I could do to finish one club. The next day the other sandwich was still very fresh, so I had that for lunch. I really like this place. Staff is very professional and nice.

Beautifully put together. Well managed, ultra clean, fresh foods, all with a good time. My wife & I stopped in for a mid-morning Sunday breakfast and was surprised to find the place to ourselves. How in the world could such a delightful place like this be empty? Amazing home style cooking, slightly under priced & perfect sized portions. Do Not bypass this place, its simply the best, quick, yummy, and priced a little low. You try getting 2 eggs, 2 pcs of beacon, 2 pancakes, and a bowl of grits for 6 bucks. They know how to accurately cook "over easy eggs", 1st place ive seen do it.

Great food and delightful owners. So friendly, quality minded and committed to their mission of helping teach a profession to those who need support. Daily special was a bounty of food. My large shrimp was grill to perfection and placed on my salad. Nice presentation. Homemade balsamic dressing. Garden growing fresh vegetables on the property and sold fresh picked okra for a song. We found this gem while driving through Louisiana. Will definitely go back when we visit this delightful city.
