The owner and staff were so friendly. They treated my teenage daughters with such kindness- educating them on various teas. The gardens are beautiful- a wonderful place to enjoy a cup of tea and support a small business!

This place is a hidden gem just south of Traverse City. They have a huge variety of different teas all organic. Just being there and walking around sipping tea is so calming.

This was a nice stop and I would like to go back with more time to enjoy and without children in tow. The tea was very good! It would be nice if there were more options to get smaller sampling of several different flavors to purchase loose tea. The tea canisters are pricey and I am sure that they use top quality ingredients. I love what all you are doing and I wish it was not so far away so that I could visit again sooner rather than later! In the meantime, we will enjoy the Hummingbird Nectar blend! 😊

Came here last year and forgot to make a review! This was such a fun place. When I was there the inside wasn't open, but they did have a food truck style trailer that they were serving out of. The teas we tried were phenomenal! The pricing on full containers is out of my personal budget, but are worth every penny (and if you do the math its pretty cheap per cup for some amazing tea!). Can't wait to come out this summer!

So I do love their Creamy Earl Gray and their Chai. HOWEVER, the price of their tea is QUITE high. I am not sure if they tuck each tea leaf in each night, so have to pay the staff extra, but I do know they are close to pricing their product out of my comfort range. I have now switched to Paromi tea instead of purchasing Light of Day. Tastes just as good and the mail order option is quick and easy.

I grew up in Michigan and now visit in summer there when I can. Had the absolute joy of visiting the enchanted Light of Day Farm twice and now order the unparalleled quality of the LoD Macha green tea. My husband, who doesn't normally drink tea, now requests batches of the Leelanau Licorice, which is surprisingly sweet without any sugar. Proud to buy from this biodynamic gem that nurtures the soil ...and us though their diligent caring work!

Truly excellent teas. As a local, I've been able to try several of their varieties at area restaurants & I loved them so much that I had to buy tins of my own (namely Coffee Convert & Creamy Earl Grey).

I did not care for the Ceremonial Matcha Tea. I will order directly from Japan next time. 🍵

Quaint shop with nice grounds despite the snow. A nice selection of special tea & herbs. I'm enjoying the Chai tea. Definitely check them out when in the area.

I have never been to their tea shop. I am an online customer only. Yes, the price is high compared to other online loose leaf organic options. However, I am happy to pay their price because the quality is simply unmatched by anything else I’ve ever tried. Over the years I have tried several of their offerings and was blown away by each one. These days, I tend to stick to the all white. The earl grey, vanilla heaven and hummingbird nectar were all absolutely phenomenal as well. When you choose this company to purchase your tea from, you are choosing a company that’s transparent about who their staff is and where the product is grown whether it be on their farm or elsewhere. If quality is important to you, you can’t go wrong with this company. I’m willing to pay for high quality every time. If price is a concern for budgetary reasons, order from this company for special occasions instead of daily use. Totally worth the splurge if you are a tea lover.

My family had a wonderful experience here. Debbie was so warm, friendly and knowledgeable and answered every question we could think of, which was a lot. We are tea people, and this little place was the tea shop of my dreams.

I first got a taste of their tea at The Omelet Shoppe and have been hooked ever since. The deep rich favors and aromas have me craving a cup every day. I have been a loose tea fan for many years. I take this tea when I travel so I don't miss out on my morning blend. I am a huge fan of the Earl Grey...chef kiss for their unique blending and flavor profile. I wish more restaurants carried their teas.

The tea is wonderful. The best loose leaf I have had. Learned so much in the tea 101 class. Amazing care taken to grow tea here in Northern Michigan, it's wonderful. This is a must see stop when visiting Traverse City for every tea lover. I am so happy to have found a new source of tea, grown right here in Michigan. Love the mission of Light of Day Organics.

The tea is great but customer service is less than expected. We have previously ordered on line with 10$ shipping a 4.5oz can. So we decided to order for pickup at their facility. We were charged $1.50 handling fee on top of the somewhat pricey cost of the tea. The tea was put in a bag and set on their porch for us to walk up and retrieve, so I'm not sure what the handling charge was. Tea tasted great. However the tea tasting was a bit pricy ($10/person for 5 different tea). I expected they would talk about history and the back ground of their tea garden. I also expected they made fresh tea in a tea set to serve us. It turned out the tea lady just served us pre-made tea and talked about what was already on the label. A little suggestion: please don’t put extra stuff like mango juice with Matcha Tea because it really killed the matcha flavor.
