Had a great experience here for both brunch & dinner. The food was amazing, such a good menu we could not decide what to get as everything sounded good. On top of the great food, the service was top notch. We will definitely be back & highly recommend.

We ordered the Buffalo chicken nachos, BLT, kids Mac and cheese with fries and the Buttermilk dill pickle chicken sandwich. For drinks we had a hot Chai with almond milk and a spicy margarita. Both drinks were excellent. However, about 20 minutes after we ordered I was informed they were out of the chicken sandwich. The rest of the food came out very soon after this and I felt rushed to make another decision even though by this point I was very hungry and eagerly awaiting a chicken sandwich for quite some time. Needless to say it was quite the let down. We arrived at the end of the lunch hour and were absolutely ignored by the bar staff we were sat by. The bartender was incredibly loud and obnoxious while my family was trying to eat. This persisted the entire time we were there and even though we were the only ones in the room with the bar staff, we were never acknowledged, we were just subject to incredibly personal stories told at a very loud volume. The food was pretty awful for the price. There was hardly any chicken on our nachos, the chicken that was on there was extremely dried out shreds and the chips were burnt black. Pretty disappointing for being 18 bucks. The BLT was lackluster for the price and the kids Mac was absolutely flavorless. The best part of our meal was the drinks.

This place is very nice! The cocktails look amazing and I’ll have to double back for some next time. The pasta dish I got I legitimately got four meals out of. It was amazing. Seems like a restaurant you’d find in Portland rather than Salem.

What a lovely find! Outside the bustle of downtown Salem but easy to find. I ordered the Mezze Plate appetizer (hummus, grilled halloumi cheese, veggie & Naan bread) - a grazer's dream & perfect light lunch. My husband had the mushroom gruyere burger with fries & cleaned his plate. The owner told us their origin story - good food and good hearts! We highly recommend Lively Station!

I’m in the food and service industry and I normally DO NOT leave reviews - but I feel that people need to know what to expect when they come here. EXPECT TO WAIT AND WAIT! And it was not busy. The drinks - GOOD! Expensive but good. It took 15 minutes to get our drink order and then it took 20 more minutes to get them. Then almost an hour to get our food order in. 45 minutes to get our food. THE FOOD: The descriptions on the menu is not the product that came out. The Mac and cheese - mushy- bland. The “Caesar” salad - Brussel sprouts and cabbage - no dressing. The salmon- small and bland. 4 people = $230! Not worth it. They need chefs that are trained in order to demand the prices they are charging. So - go for drinks. But have ALOT of time - pass on the food.

We love Lively! The food is fantastic, the atmosphere is great and the staff is really kind and caring. If you haven't gone, or you're visiting town, put it on your list.

Food was incredible the cheese balls were amazing and the waitress Tina was awesome. Thank you so much we'll definitely be coming back.

This place is phenomenal! Tina makes the absolute best cocktails and the chef knows exactly what they are doing! Never disappointed. Favorite date night place and just any time we can make it out place! Adore it!

I was really excited to try this place out. But ended up being really disappointed. I got the $26 gnocchi which was good, but the portion was laughable. It included 5 pieces of gnocchi, and a couple pieces of asparagus and carrots. They spread out the sauce on the plate to make it look like it was more food, when in reality, it didn’t fill me up at all. I expected a lot more for a restaurant charging that much for an entree. It’s a bummer because I like the atmosphere. But I won’t be going back due to the small portion size, not worth the money! The service was on the slower side, which i didn’t mind. The reason for this bad review is the food portions and prices.

First time here. I had not known this hidden gem was so close to Salem, while catching up with my daughter, just fell in love with this place. The food was amazing, with great friendly service and just lots of things to choose from. You can stop for a quick coffee, have dinner with the family, or hit the bar area.. I was really suprise by the different options. I will be back to try more menu items..

We had a wonderful time with my friends. The Steak Argentina Bocadillo was delicious, and the Chimichurri was perfect, the cocktail was very good.

Our server Mica greeted us warmly and was pleasant throughout, but the food was somewhat disappointing. The Cheddar Puffs were delicious, but were almost certainly deep-fried, and no small plates were given. The Chicken Kiev was also deep-fried, which I would expect from a Roadhouse type restaurant, not one charging $28 for an entree! There was a large piece of soft fatty meat in the chicken which not pleasant, and had to be discarded. Also, the Chicken Kiev did not have Ricotta Cheese inside as indicated on the menu, and the Caesar Salad was forgotten until we had to ask for it twice! The only reason why we are giving three stars is because of the Cheddar Puffs and Mica's warm service - otherwise way over-priced for what you are getting.

Sat in the bar area, Daryl (sp ?) was our server and he was very attentive and actually entertaining!! Ordered a Reuben Sandwich with Brussels salad side, instead of fries ( healthier) and everything was delicious!! We will be back!!

I don't like leaving less than stellar reviews because there's so many variables to consider. BUT we've been here twice now, the first was great food but service only a teeny bit lacking (had to keep asking for refills, no spoon with coffee when creamer was brought). This most recent was a bit worse, same exact issues as before, but this time there were food issues too (no ketchup brought when asked, lettuce on sandwich when asked to omit, french toast completely raw/undercooked). All that said, they did give a discount on my French toast, they replaced it asap and both servers were apologetic. Both times were for brunch and we were sat in the bar area so maybe thats why. The food is phenomenal and I LOVE that they have reservations because it can be a pain to get into a place for brunch... so I think one more shot at a different time and maybe a different seating area before we throw in the towel.

A bit spendy, but the food and atmosphere were amazing. Our server was amazing as well. Cute little gift shop at the front is nice to browsw while waiting. The location is out of the way but worth it. If you get the chance to eat out on the patio take it, its beautiful! This might not be an everyday option, but will definitely be back for special occasions!

We called to see how busy they were ~8 minutes ago, they said they weren’t very busy. We arrived and they told us a 35 minute wait. I would leave a negative review if this wasn’t ATLEAST the 3rd time this has happened. I’m unsure how to navigate and am now frustrated.

We finally visited Lively Station for the first time last night. I'm not sure why we had been sleeping on it for so long but we were definitely missing out. We originally had a reservation for 5 but needed to add 2 at the last minute. They were incredibly accommodating but suggested we get there a little earlier due to a large party that had reservations 15 minutes after ours. Our party had two Campfire Mac and Cheeses (one with bacon and one with crispy chicken), two steak sandwiches, the smashburger, the halibut and the pot roast. All of the food was delicious, but the pot roast was truly amazing. Our server was fabulous as well but I think we were all too focused on our food to interact much. The price for the quality of food was very reasonable as well. My husband and I can't wait to visit again on our next date night to try some of their other dishes as their specials all sounded amazing!

Cute place, worth the stop. The parking is in the back and main entrance in the front facing the road. There's an opinion to order light and shop or full menu dine in... and then shop. There is both indoor and outdoor seating and a bar. I had the California burger, fries, and brussel sprouts salad. So far the best burger in the Salem/ Independence area. Could have passed on the salad but wanted to try something new. My server was friendly but the place was a little busy or they were short staff.. not sure. Get there early.

Finally tried lively station. Absolutely fantastic. We were fortunate enough to go while it was quiet and were completely spoiled with dining on a private patio. I had the smashburger and he had the rueben. I had a mocktail of "galway girl". Also delish. Outstanding service and very creative menu, I wanted to taste everything. Highly recommend! The picture of the little baby menu is drinks she's trying out for spring ❤️

We’ve been wanting to eat here for a few months and finally got around to it this weekend. Did not make reservations but we were seated in less than 10 minutes on a Saturday night. The staff was friendly and efficient, the bartender was the best! My wife is vegan and I don’t eat dairy, finding delicious food items on their menu to suit both of our needs was easy to do as they have several options to choose from and can make substitutions as needed. For a night out including dinner and drinks the cost was better than expected. ($68 not including tip) We are looking forward to making Lively Station a regular stop for us and inviting friends!

Found Lively Station while driving down River Rd and decided to stop in and have a late lunch. Great Decision! Walked in to very friendly staff. Micah, our waiter, was awesome and attentive. I asked him if he would recommend the Argentine Bocadillo sandwich. He hands down said this was his favorite. It was sooo delicious, tender steak with sweet potatoes (a nice touch) and grilled onion on a nice fresh, soft french roll with a softly spicy sauce. I gave my husband and bite and he said we are coming back so he could order this. Truly awesome. Hubby had the Cornflake Chicken Sandwich, he said it was not greasy and very juicy. The vibe is very nice, and they play cool music. Also, a nice selection of bottled wines. Can't wait to come back!

Most 1st time dining experiences are good, but rarely flat out amazing. I have to say that lunch here was amazing as well as the service by Darrell. I had a Hatch Burger and Fries and my fiancé had a Reuben Sandwich. Both were fantastic as well as the spiral fries. Highly Recommended!

Sit in the Bar area otherwise it feels like a cafeteria. Bartender/ waiter was sooooo loud it was awkward but he was nice. He was overworked making all drinks and taking care of all the tables. Boyfriend loved his steak sandwich he was all smiles my mushroom burger was pretty good, tad dry. The fries were great. Loved that they have yummy N/A cocktails! I will be back

Took my family here for the first time since moving to salem from pdx. AMAZING service. Each of us adored the server we had today, although I can’t remember his name. He was very educated on the beverages offered, attentive to my gluten allergy, really cared about his job, and it all showed. Best service we have had in a very long time anywhere. They forgot my gluten free bun at first, but that was no biggie, they brought a fresh bun AND a huge slab of a rice krispy treat for me on the house because they felt bad! Just amazing amazing will recommend forever and make this a frequent place to visit. 👍🏻 Love the gluten free options, it’s all so easy to read on the menu. Also the best mocktail I have ever had. This place is IT.

This place is a very cute and intimate place for a dinner or small party. I went for a small gathering and it was perfect. The food was amazing and the drinks were very well curated.

This place was highly recommended and I finally got to experience for myself with a large group for the holidays. It was amazing! Great food, excellent service and beautiful atmosphere. We were able to reserve a private room to accommodate our large party which was perfect. Julie was our server and was beyond wonderful! I can't wait to come back:)

We had a work event in their Lively Room and we could not have asked for a better experience! Jess made the event planning easy and seemless! The room was decorated beautifully! Julia was fun and outgoing while still providing excellent service for our large group. Delicious food and drinks!

I attended an event at the Lively Station over the weekend and had a very nice experience. In case you haven't been there before, they have a private room off of their patio that seats 12 people comfortably. Being that the holiday season is in full swing, it was very festive with the decorations. The ambiance and serve were fantastic. I had the fish tacos, which were Guinness battered cod, crema amarilla, calabrian salsa, radicchio slaw, corn flour tortilla, micro cilantro, which were simply delicious. They have a good variety of dishes on their menu, including vegan.

Our small group reserved a private room and it was a really nice experience. The food and service were both very good.

Really cute place! We sat in the bar and went twice this week. It was busy but didn't feel crowded. I got a seat where I could look out the window and see the trees. We split many appetizers to try everything out and our favorites were the baked Brie and the cheese bites. The brie was served with a spicy honey. The cheese bites were gooey and flakey and filling and I will get those again next time. I love that this place has mocktails alongside the cocktails. Both are delicious!

Great food and some of the best drinks in Salem. Never disappoints!

Rented the greenhouse room for my b-day party and everything was top notch. Great atmosphere, service and food. A special thanks to Darryl our server for the night, very accommodating and great service. Made it a great evening. P.S. the 'veatloaf' was out of this world

Great roadhouse - we stopped in for lunch. Indoor and shaded patio dining, so our dog was welcome too, with a big fresh bowl of water. The burgers were great and came with amazing French fries! We also shared a slice of keylime Marion Berry cheese cake. We had a wonderful dining experience with an attentive waiter. We will be back, and we'll bring guests!

Food is always amazing and the staff is friendly and so personable. Have a great experience everytime we go. Make sure to make a reservation to ensure you get a table. They can get really busy.

Just discovered this place and we love it. Food was delicious. I had a BLT. Lots of bacon, heirloom tomatoes, and a black something garlic spread. He had a smash burger. Both were really good. Burger sauce was yummy. The fries were great! Don't miss 'em! We ate in the bar. Nice atmosphere. There's a little deck off the bar for outdoor dining. Service was quick. The staff was friendly and helpful. We'll be back!

Wife and I went here for my birthday and enjoyed it Food options are good and diverse. I found the quality to be great. I had the Kind Salmon and my wife the pot roast and both where excellent. It's not Roberts Crossing, but what it is, is unique and great food in a comfortable atmosphere. Will be back!

Great name. I love their burgers. They use this special sauce on them that just takes it to a whole new level. Very impressed with their homemade chips as well. All around great place to dine. Friendly and welcoming staff as well. You won't be sorry.

Had a Birthday Lunch here today and it was GREAT ! The food was wonderful!! The were 9 of us and we all felt the same way regarding our food choices! The staff was very friendly and I would recommend this for your next lunch or dinner out ❣️❣️

Came out for Sunday brunch. Sat outside at the picnic tables. Service was prompt and very friendly. The Bloody Marys were excellent. Had the waffle, pancakes and smashed potatoes. All were great! Look forward to coming back soon.
