This is a Hayward must. The steak we had was perfectly cooked and the staff were great. I LOVE the couch in the dining room.

The salmon was good, the drinks were generous, and the service was excellent.

Wow! Who thought you would find fine dining in the northwoods?!?!? The food was over the top awesome. Met the owners. So nice. You can tell they put a ton of love into this place.

Our first visit to this restaurant during the summer was incredible. The food was perfect and our waiters were extremely attentive and quick. However, when we came back a couple weeks ago, we were severely disappointed. We came early for a reservation, and despite many tables being empty, were told to wait at the bar until they could set a table for the four of us. We waited there with no employee checking in on us for the next 30 minutes while other groups (who came in after us w/o reservations) were sat. Finally, a member of our group went up to check on our table, and only at that point did we get sat. Our waitress was nice enough, but seemed to get overwhelmed very easily and forgot to write down part of our order. The food took incredibly long despite once again, the restaurant being nowhere close to full. One member of our group ordered the pasta with veggies and white sauce, and found that the veggies seemed completely uncooked and were almost inedible due to their hardness. There were also sugar snap peas (uncooked) in the pasta, which was not stated on the menu, and were no artichokes in the pasta, which was listed on the menu. I hope to come back here during the summer again and find a better environment, but we are disappointed in the experience we had this time around.

Fine dining in the Northwoods. I haven’t had a bad meal here yet. The seafood is always fresh and the steaks are cooked to perfection. One of my favorite places for a nice dinner.

One of the best restaurants in the Hayward area! We look forward to eating here when we visit the area. The food and service are top notch. It's usually a full house on Friday and Saturday's, so I would recommend making reservations.

We stopped in for a beverage.. Jenny and Peter were the most informational and had such great attentive service! A must stop for a special place up north! Looking forward to having dinner here as well!

We live 2 miles from Tavern at WSF and have eaten here 5 or six times. Previous visits have been very good and this is one of my favorite area restaurants. I took my wife, brother and sister in law for a special dinner. Darleen was our server and did a great job. The wine and salad were very good. However, my salmon was overcooked, my sister in law’s chicken was also. My brothers ahi tuna was very good. Was this a just one time event? Not sure. Was the chef having a bad night….. don’t know. We will be back, but will be very specific on how we want our food cooked.

What a lovely dinner! The craft cocktails, appetizers, and dinner were absolutely delicious! The team is fantastic, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Thank you for the wonderful evening, and we are looking forward to our next outting to the Tavern at White Stag Farm!

Lots of good but kind of an identity crisis of supper club, fine dining, smoking lounge, and coffee shop. Not sure what to make of the couches, pillows, and chairs draped with fake furs. Kind of an Octogenarians with adult children crowd. Which is maybe why some of the food is so salty. The sides and and soup seems the victim while the entrees are solid. Overall pleasant experience. I’d recommend reservations especially for early dining.

Fun and cozy place for dinner. They are able to accommodate gluten free, which very much appreciated.

Food was great. Staff was friendly. Portion size left a little to be desired for the price. I recommend a reservation and if you're new you have to walk through the bar to the host stand. It not clearly laid out when entering and through bar was pretty full when we got there so we couldn't see that you had to go around to get to the dining area.

1st time visiting today. I had an awesome lunch experience. The menu was smaller, but I have confidence that everything one it would be great. I had the pleasure of trying the Cheese Curd, Ahi Tuna, and Steak Sandwich. All were delicious! Thank you to Jacob and the cooking staff for job well done!

We’ve been meaning to try for some time and I’m elated we finally found the time. Exceptional dinner, service and ambiance. An impressive addition to our up north favorites!

The bartender and the waitress were great. We ordered a filet and when it came you could not cut it with a knife. It was full of rind and fat. We tried to complain very politely and yet they didn't seem to care. It was the worst fillet we have ever had. They would not take it off the bill. They offered us dessert which we did not want. The manager would not come out and speak with us. They said they gave us a bigger piece because it was fatty. We would have preferred a smaller fillet. The fact that they didn't seem to care is the reason we will never go back. Very disappointing experience.

Just what you would expect from a north woods supper club. It was awesome.

Enjoyed dinner here a year ago so on our ‘moms weekend getaway’ we decided to visit again. The prices have increased dramatically so we chose to share entrees. This was clearly frowned upon. One check was brought to the table so we worked to divide it but the waitress was frustrated with us and went to split the check in disgust. The food is yummy the hostess was the cutest, but I will not be back and wish I left a smaller tip.

Choosing White Stag for my birthday dinner was a great decision. The filet was seasoned and cooked to mouthwatering PERECTION! The sides were just as delicious. The staff was exceptionally professional, very friendly, and accommodating to the point the sous chef came out to our table to answer questions we had about the menu. Afterwards, they surprised me with slice of tasty cheesecake. Thanks for a perfect birthday dinner on a busy New Year's Eve night!

This may have been the best meal I've ever had. We went there on New Year's Eve, which also happens to be my wife's birthday. The filet and scallops were done perfectly and delicious. The staff was super friendly, helpful, and professional. I highly recommend this restaurant!

We Dine at White Stag at least twice a month. Food and service is amazing!! Everything from Drinks, Appetizers, Entree's, Desserts is always delicious and innovative!! Darlene is an absolute gem as a Server!! They deserve 10 stars!!

Had a great dinner after a round of golf with friends. We had a group of 16 - the food was great and service prompt and friendly. I’ll definitely come back and recommend it highly.

I've driven past the place for years, always thought it was just a bar . I am sad to have missed out for so long, absolutely decadent food . This is now our go to for date night and special occasions , great service and even better food .

Food was amazing. It did get a little stuffy when it got busy. The veggies were a little over ripe.

They’ve done a great job turning this place around. I miss the old fondue from previous owners and bread is no longer part of the general fare, but the food was good and the service was quick!
