I work for local company Caldeco Air Conditioning and we went in for food today. Mario is awesome! Great atmosphere and the food was phenomenal! The Philly is a top ten. Huge portions of meat. Definitely the new sandwich spot for us.

Great place, fair prices, excellent, friendly service. It's like a neighborhood place, great atmosphere. Good Cuban coffee, but no plain old American coffee. 😐

We were looking for somewhere to stop for brunch with our 2 year old before we hit the airport—and this is an amazing choice we’re going to be building into every trip to Tampa from here out! The food was amazing (get the sausage), café con leche was lovely, and our daughter was treated like a princess—even sent away with a free cookie. Fast service, great atmosphere, loved everything about it.

Well where do I start… let’s start with Mario! We’ve known Mario and his family for over 30 years. Mario is the star attraction so to speak at Los Gringos. We’ve followed Mario around where ever he goes just for the outstanding service he provides and his contagious attitude. Now onto the cafe con leche, Cuban toast, breakfast in general you can’t go wrong with whatever you order. The food is very flavorful, fresh, affordable and cooked to perfection. We are locals and know our cafe con leche and breakfast spots and hands down Los Gringos is it. Did I mention Mario, he’s fantastic!

Tasty lunch/ late breakfast. Great con leche. 1st time visit. Mario and team were warm and friendly. Good local place for some latin fare.

This was the best place to eat by far. Mario is a wonderful person. The food and service was top notch. We had Deviled Crab by Jesus, Ham Croquettes, and Brooklyn's Avocado Toast everything was fresh and perfect. We will definitely come back.

First time here. The food was great, we had the breakfast Cuban sandwich and the pick 2 items breakfast. The Cuban bread was amazing, and the cafe con leche hit the spot. We met a 2 regulars and had a great conversation. Family friendly environment. Will go again!

Tried this place for the first time today. Corned beef hash was on special and I asked the waitress if they make their own corned beef hash. “We sure do” she replied. So I ordered the special and was disappointed when my plate came out with corned beef hash from a can. You know, the kind that looks like cat food. When I explained the situation to the bartender, he announced that he didn’t have anything to do with the kitchen and walked away. If you haven’t tried this place, don’t bother. I wont be back.

The Pats Power bowl was unbelievable!!! The homemade hot sauce should be bottled and sold in store its that good.The infectious energy can be felt as you walk thrive the door!! Can't wait to return and try the rest of the menu! O and the expresso is amazing!!

Food: a nice selection of typical diner/Cuban dishes. The table next to me purchased a bunch of croquettas so that must be a popular item to try for next time. I went with a cafe con leche which was excellent. Got a single biscuit with sausage gravy which was nice and fluffy, salty, creamy, and smooth gravy. Also for the main, I got the breakfast burrito which had the unusual addition of black beans. On the side, I had tater tots which I tossed in with leftover gravy for some gravy tots. The salsa was fresh but I wish I had some hot sauce for the burrito and gravy. Dish recommendation: pile of tater tots, with bacon, sausage, cheese, with gravy. 😉 Price: completely reasonable prices. $17 in today's economy for solid food. Service: as several have experienced, a man self proclaims his title as "hot" Mario is a server there. He really steals the show with a flare for hospitality and joking with the customers. He's a very friendly character if you get my drift. That type of interaction are the few and far between in customer service where it's done at the right level for me. Experience: overall the food came out quick and delicious. Service was attentive and amusing. Mario and the other server got nailed with a large party so I did get the wrong food initially but a corrected order came out quick and a friendly request for a water refill doesn't hurt vocalizing the first time. The restaurant suffered a power outage which stopped all service. As it would be 5 hours till corrected, I was already finished with my meal so they just offered to write down my bill and trust I'd come back to pay. That's a bold offer of trust but I offered to just pay it in cash as I had enough to cover my bill. The restaurant definitely has earned a place for me to come back and try more. Certainly some croquettas.

Excellent service and food, the best in West Tampa.

First time here. We had the Abuelo cuban and a hot pastrami sandwich. They were perfect. The staff is freaking awesome. They make it an experience. Stop by, you wont regret it.

I think this place was in a commercial. Looked it up because the food looked so delicious. Funny thing is, the commercial was a get rich quick app. Obviously a scam. Lol

This is hands down my favorite breakfast place. You have to try the Avocado toast and ask for the hot sauce to be activated! They also have the best sausage patties I think I've ever had in my entire life. The staff was very welcoming the moment we walked in the door and continuously made us laugh throughout the meal. Highly recommend, definitely coming back

One of Tampa’s hidden gems. Friendliest restaurant in the area, no contest. They have a fantastic pasta salad recipe as well. This place adds so much value to the neighborhood, I love it.

Casual breakfast and lunch spot. I ordered The breakfast sandwich for lunch on a croissant. Ham egg and cheese. It was delicious. Big beautiful flaky croissant with a nice slab of ham, cheese and scrambled eggs. My server was excellent So I left very happy with a full belly at a very reasonable price.

I stopped in here this morning exploring the neighbourhood - my first time in Tampa. I had read the reviews and decided to try. I am very happy I did. Mostly locals and interesting stories. My server was a doll, very friendly and attentive. Made me feel like a regular. Full breakfast was really good and served by an equally friendly kitchen staff. Hit the spot. I would definitely be back to try their Cuban sandwich. I hear it is fantastic. Thank you!!

West Tampa's Finest!!! This place screams West Tampa and nobody serves it up better than Mario. Service with a smile and sweet enough to raise your blood sugar. If you have spent anytime in Tampa, you will probably run into someone you know here. Oh, and the food is amazing. Just close your eyes and point to any spot on the menu. Los Gringos, if it ain't white it ain't right. Toma!!!

I don't review places as often as I should, but the experience I had last week at Los Gringos was better than any 5 star restaurant I've ever been to!! The food was simple yet perfect, coffee was fresh and delicious, but Mario made it an out of this world experience!! I wish I could buy a bottle of his energy and charisma!! Highly recommend you give this place a shot, you won't regret it!! 😁

Good place for real Tampenos to gather with great cuban coffee, excellent breakfast sandwich and cuban bread toast. And Mario is always entertaining and a generous host. Go to this Cafe on a regular basis and never disappointed?

Yum 😋 I ordered the chicken salad on wheat and somehow they made something so simple be amazingly delicious 🤤 also I recommend the Boom Boom shrimp tacos! The service is also incredible, the atmosphere is like Sunday lunch at families house. Overall experience will make you come back and bring your friends and fam.

I had not been to this place in ages, since when I lived in West Tampa and it was called La Ideal. I was feeling nostalgic and stopped in. I don't think I have ever had a better cup of cafe con leche - piping hot, and not so much leche that you can't taste that awesome bean. And the Cuban toast was perfect. It was actually toasted, not just enough to warm the butter. It was filled with people and the service was friendly and charming. I'm going to get nostalgic way more often.

I placed and order at 10:30 am to pick up at 12:00 pm. When I arrived at the restaurant my food was ready to go and they definitely follow instructions, my order was nice and hot. I had a Turkey Club and it was by far the best club I've had here in Tampa Bay! Gracias

If I could give this place six stars I would. Their cuban is one of the best I’ve had in Tampa. The pork that they roast for this sandwich is so tender and out of this world. If the food wasn’t enough to get you in, their EXCEPTIONAL service will. Just an incredibly passionate family dedicated to quality service.

Owner was extremely nice! Food was fast, affordable and delicious. Restaurant is updated clean and welcoming. Tvs to watch the news in the morning at the bar while drinking their café con Leche. Big menu that has something for everyone on it. Chicken Bacon Wrap is healthy and tasty. Plenty of safe parking and plenty of seating even on lunch rush hour. This is the place to go if you’re going to a Bucs game, visiting the hospital or working in Tampa! Will be back and a regular without a doubt!

I went to Los Gringos for the first time the other day and had their bacon, egg and cheese cuban and was blown away! The food is amazing and the staff is very friendly. I will absolutely be back and I would recommend this spot to anyone in the area.
