Grill it is not, buffet is what I experienced, not much of a selection, food was okay, just okay overall

Edit (9/13/23) I forgot to mention what the Club is all about. It's a buffet that has a rotating menu everyday so something's always different :) the food is interesting but sometimes flops because it needs more seasoning or less salt to be better. But it's pretty decent and the chefs are always doing their best to improve it so try it out and go with a bunch of friends! (OG review) Every week I always look at the menu online. I peer pressure my friends into coming here and wasting almost $13 because I think the menu sounds good. When we finally sit down to eat it, oh Lord, it's pretty bad and we could've gone somewhere else. And I'd do it again. Except not on days where they try to make Asian food because it is so bad. As an Asian person, the vegetable lo mein scared me, why was it stinky. I hope non Asian folks aren't eating this thinking that's what Asian food is like because it's really not.... my entire friend group complained about going to the club on Asian day for several days after the experience. And then I made the mistake of going again on Asian day. I didn't learn my lesson the first time. Don't be like me. It's not authentic, how could I even imagine that it would be but I don't think Asian food is hard to cook, speaking from personal experience. Anyways, I can't speak for other ethnic menu days. I usually only go for southern food or other American cuisine. The Club is good at southern food, that should not be a surprise and even a given fact. However, things that always fall short end up being the meat. It's dry and overcooked and chokes me out. Very sad, because they give such large portions. I tend to avoid it now. And maybe some would say things aren't flavorful enough. I'm being real. I still love suggesting going to the club for lunch. My friends groan about it. But it has a hold on me. Just check the menu and pray it's good and not mid. But it will somehow always be mid when half of the menu is good and half of the menu flops. I recommend it for the vibes. It's just not a 5 star or anything.

What a nice surprise! $12.50 per person, a fantastic deal for lunch like that. It's a modest-sized buffet, but the food is very nicely prepared. Call them to find out the entrees of the day; we had fried fish and grilled chicken. Soup table, salad table, dessert table, drink table with tea/water/lemonade(?), and you can buy a beer at the bar off to the side if you like. Friendly and efficient staff. The dining room and bar area are very nicely decorated with high ceilings and classic decor. The only glitch was the A/C seemingly out that day, but in that big brick building, it wasn't that hot, really. I'd be there for lunch every day if it were anywhere near my office.

It was similar to eating at the 5 or the 459 but way better food and super fancy.

A hidden gem of campus, and absolutely my favorite place to eat on campus. Very great value even if you have to spend actual money (they take pawpoints and commuter meal swipes). It's definitely an upgrade compared to the regular dining halls, especially considering it's the same price but with better food overall.

Fridays are Louisiana food so it's usually very good. However, last Friday there was only one dessert option and I feel like last year they regularly had more than two. It might be a fluke so I'm still sticking to my 4 stars. It's good food for decent money. Let's see if they keep it up.

I love the Magnolia Room at the LSU Club. The food is great, as it has been for years and years. I just wish they had cakes, pies, and ice cream for desserts instead of the two pans of gooey, gloppy brownie dessert stuff.

Don't waste your pawpoints on fast food in the union. Use them here. It's more expensive but well worth it once you see the variety, quality, and quantity of the food.

The LSU Club at Union Square has once again reinvented itself. The buffet that once fed students at the Union's Magnolia Room has moved across the street and upped its game, today at least. I intend to return later on a more regular basis. The food is certainly good. Service is a little wanting but I'm sure it will improve. I didn't pay today so can't speak to cost. Given the quality and the "all you care to eat" approach I am sure it is good value for the price.

This formerly quiet spot on the LSU main campus is now bustling each weekday now that it has moved to an ample buffet service with a wide variety of dishes and fabulous desserts and unlimited drinks of iced tea or lemonade. Dinners can also order off the menu, but the buffet is a better deal. The buffet varies daily and usually has a few different healthy salads, two soups (the creamy tomato basil is delicious), several vegetable options, and a couple noon-vegetarian offerings. There are usually several desserts: the chocolate bread pudding and banana pudding are especially good. The biggest problem with this buffet is the temptation to eat too much. Although this was formerly called the Faculty Club, it is open to all members of the LSU community and the public in general. This is possibly the best deal for lunch around campus.

Lobster roll was poorly done, just lobster meat with little else, no mayo or flavoring. Lobster “stew” was thin soup with lobster chunks and disappointing. They should do a nice creamy bisque. Maple B

Clean and friendly coffee shop. The owner was sweet and nice. But the pink and purple donuts were blend and mushy. The glaze donut was fine though. Quick note: The donut with marshmallows is extra.
