I ordered the small brisket, very tiny thin slices that were 90% fat, the owner luckily came through and got it right. The brisket was pretty darn good. Super friendly staff willing to make things right.

We loved this place! The ice cream and cup cakes were so good and the shop owners were so kind.

We came for desert! But we left with two 2go boxes that had more than enough food for both of us! We got the jerk spare ribs, the beef brisket, collards, beans, corn bread and both sweet and hot sauce. Delish!!!!!! And the cupcakes? Key lime & raspberry chocolate were so good! Helpful, friendly staff. Clean & comfortable. A must do in Port Canaveral! ❤️

My girlfriend, her daughter and I visited this restaurant when we were in the area. The restaurant was clean, the staff and owners were very courteous and helpful. The food and desserts were out of this world good! The boneless beef barbecue was the best I have tried in my life. There was a great kids menu as well, with plenty of options to satisfy most kids. I recommend this restaurant for any and everyone.

Missing half of their advertised stock. Some items not on menu, and some required substitutes. Half built, half stocked, bland food, and overpriced. If it wasn't for the young cashier, this rating would be lower.

I get the short rib with mac and cheese and it was the best short rib I have ever had and would definitely recommend trying, the cupcakes are really good as well!!

Food was ok, but flavors just not there, close enough to pick up and go back to the beach.

Amazing dessert options! A must stop

Ludz is such a cute place! AMAZING key lime pie and wonderful Iced Coffee. The customer service is so nice, and the owner is very personable and friendly. Definitely check this out over in Cocoa Beach today or next Wednesday-Sunday!

We just found this place tonight. Stopped in for coffee and dessert. Cupcakes were AMAZING!!!! Can't wait to go back for dinner.

We stopped in mostly because of the bakery and were we surprised. We had brisket sandwiches. I do brisket on my smoker and am proud of how it turns out. I was humbled by what was the best brisket I ever had. Sauce was served on the side but it wasn't needed. Moist sliced meat that needed nothing. The cupcake selection was awesome and we carried 4 back to the boat. Our waitress was outstanding. She was very helpful and was obviously proud of their offerings. Spoke with the owner (Retired Air Force, support veteran owned businesses). He brought a sample of their pastrami and man it was so good. Stop in, you won't regret it.

Quaint little eatery across the street from all the best seafood restaurants in Port Canaveral. Their cinnamon roll was spot on and well balanced with flavor and unlike most store bought ones, not too syrupy sweet. Amazing flavor! Their cupcakes are creative and delicious as well. We had the cookies n cream, graham cracker, lemon and German chocolate....and they were well balanced and tasty. If you are in the area, stop by and enjoy!!!!

Love love love this family-owned foodie spot! Little Mattie is a great host, and the menu is simple but delicious! Sandwiches, Lil Foodie plates (meat and a side), Big Foodie plates (more meat and 2 sides), seafood trays (for solo and group efforts), and AMAZING baked goods (the Pineapple Concussion was like a delicious Piña Colada cupcake)! Indoor and outdoor patio seating, right at the Port! There are some great restaurants at The Cove @ Port Canaveral, but Ludz is joining the rotation! UPDATE: Mattie's Delectable Deserts needs to be your new cheat day! Every cupcake is better than the last! Loved the Mango, Little Mattie! Thanks!

We actually wanted to go to one of the grill restaurants opposite, but as our little dog was not accepted on the terrace there, we saw this nice restaurant and luckily gave it a try. Why? The service is amazing and very friendly, something I have rarely experienced. The food is excellent and home-made. The ambience with Jamaican music is pleasant. We would love to come back and can only recommend a visit!

We went to Ludz/Mattie's desserts to try to key lime pie. It was one of the best I have ever had. The key lime filling was thicker than most and the meringue was fantastic. Really a great pie!

Had the sweetest staff and their key lime pie will make you dance! I would have taken a photo but I ate it too fast 😅

Absolutely amazing and friendly. Got the cappuccino crunch ice cream and he gave us all a couple of free brisket pieces to try.

Amazing. We decided to eat one fancy place before leaving for home. When we seen this place tucked in around the corner. Only had a few ppl but they were locals.. so of course we were interested. We had no idea.. that food was sent from the gods! Perfect seasoning cupcakes not to sweet perfect. People no joke they can cook!! Menu is small but well worth it we got the crabs, 2 pork sandwiches an 2 cupcakes! I was hesitant at 1st but 🙌 my kids talked about all the way home an it was a 20hour drive an they are still telling everyone. This place is a gem!

The fact that I am writing this literally 6 months after we ate at Ludz should let you know how good it is! We were heading out on a cruise and arrived to the Port early... even though we knew we had food waiting for us on the ship, we decided to grab a quick bite before boarding to just curb our hunger. Being BBQ fans, we were excited to find Ludz right there... I have no idea why we chose the Cuban sandwich, as it's not something my SO and I have gravitated to before, but we are both thankful we did... unfortunately we decided to SHARE one sandwich! Don't do this! Get your own! it is sooo good. We've talked about this sandwich for 6 months; I've tried making one that is similar, which it has been good, but nowhere near the one at Ludz. We even talk about choosing cruises out of Port Canaveral so we can go back to Ludz and get another Cuban Sandwich! Can't wait to return!

We ate here last March and can’t wait to return in a month for our annual trip. I know good bbq and this is it. We loved everything we ate. But beyond the food, we absolutely loved talking to Ludz and Mattie. They are so charming and welcoming. We felt like leaving friends when we left after an absolutely scrumptious meal. We can’t wait to go back!

Family of 3 stopped in today for lunch, the food and service were OUTSTANDING!! Beef brisket was the best I’ve ever had, pulled pork and short rib sandwich’s were delicious. We wish we lived closer, this would be our spot!! Can’t wait to go back again!

Came for a rocket launch - stayed for the AMAZING desserts!!! Launch got scrubbed but we got to try some of the best cheesecake and key lime pie. So yummy!

We were just there yesterday during a Friday afternoon stroll at the port. Stopped in and found the most pleasant, friendly and wonderful service, which was followed by delicious desserts and coffee. The selection of amazing cupcakes and ice cream was hard enough to choose from, but that Key Lime pie was incredibly tempting. We opted for two amazing cupcakes - lemon and orange (Florida Sunshine I think she called it) and a couple of coffees. We sat on the deck outside and thoroughly enjoyed these ridiculously delicious desserts! To top it off, got a sample of the Key Lime Pie. We will definitely be back to enjoy a full slice. If you're at the Port, you should definitely stop in and just enjoy this wonderful treat and excellent service! THANK YOU for a great experience all around.

Customer service was great! But the food was lacking! The coleslaw tasted fresh. But, the rest tasted frozen and reheated. Greens and beans tasted like they were out of a can. We came because of the high reviews we were sadly disappointed. How did we just spend $50

The smoked brisket, home made pastrami, and conch fritters are the best I ever had. They have the best baked goods, pies, cupcakes, breads and much more all from scratch. I had the pleasure of meeting the owners who are an awesome couple and they do all of the cooking and baking. I will definitely be going back.

We went in to see what they had to offer. The lady at the counter was very nice. Took time to describe everything they had. Family got a couple deserts, and they offered a free dessert they had used for a photo shoot! Everything we got was delicious!

We went here the night before our cruise was set to leave. Amazing food and service! The owner was so friendly and helpful. I can say enough good things about this place. Its definitely a hidden gem. I had the brisket and my husband had the short ribs. Both were tender and seasoned well. We didn't even use any sauce. We had cupcakes as our dessert and they were the best I've had in a long time. We definitely recommend and will return on our next trip.

We went for the first time and got the family plate that included brisket, beef ribs, pork, and chicken wings and a couple of sides. Everything was delicious but I was suprised at how good the jerked wings were. The atmosphere is casual and there are some outdoor tables although it was a little cold out when we were there so we sat inside.

My brother & mother came to spend Thanksgiving with us in NC. They wanted to bring desert with them, and suggested they bring pies from Ludz. We were so glad they did. Matties Pumpkin Pies brought the house down. So delicious !!We thank you Mattie.

Mattie is an amazing woman and even BETTER cook! I stopped into he restaurant just off the AlA but Port Canaveral and was immediately treated as family! I highly recommend trying AND going by ack for more ..😂

I was doing deliveries and went in to pick up my food to deliver first thing you walk in you get slapped hard with all the desserts homemade desserts and they look delicious I've got to go back and try the desserts it's a very clean little restaurant and the lady that was there was very pleasant and helpful

We also stopped in for dessert one evening. The cheese cake and cupcakes where amazing. We had a wonderful conversation with Pete, the owner. Great local atmosphere and a view of the cruise ships coming and going. We loved it so much we returned the next day for brisket and jerked pork. We highly recommend it.

Delicious food in about 20 minutes for a big group of people!! Wow! Impressive! Mostly bbq menu and seafood platters. They don't serve alcohol yet but it's coming soon they said or you can bring your own bottle of wine LoL

Best brisket I've ever had and I've had brisket all over the US. The key lime pie is beyond amazing. It was delicious. There is nothing I had there that three times I went while I was in Florida that wasn't delicious. Highly recommend stopping in and enjoying the amazing food and desserts. They need to be called Ludz BBQ bar and Grill because you would not know by the name they have the best BBQ In Florida. Look forward to stopping in my next trip to FL and bringing some barbecue brisket back home with me.

Best barbecue in the area! I got the beef brisket and short ribs and everything was perfectly seasoned, cooked, and moist. The cupcakes are absolutely divine as well! Definitely plan on coming back often

Yummy for our tummies! My husband and I wanted to have some dessert after dinner and found this gem of a store selling cupcakes. All natural ingredient cupcakes that taste good? YES!!!!! We bought a dozen. So far we have tried two of the flavors we got and love them. The cake part is not too sweet and the frosting is just sweet enough to make a great whole. The delightful shop owner and baker extraordinaire was a joy to visit with. The next time we are in the area, we will make a point to visit again.

A must go. Ordered shrimp platters that were out of this world quality! Had a birthday cake made that was just perfection. Most beautiful sponge with strawberry filling layered, naked frost, decorated beyond adorable. Best of all the owners are super people✨️

What a great place, staff is so friendly. I have been to many bbq places across the country. There sides, chicken and ribs compare to anyone. So thankful that we saw them in the parking lot. Cant recommend highly enough

We stumbled upon Lutz’s last weekend and we’re so happy we did! Food was incredible and the owners were so gracious and welcoming. The brisket and baked beans were phenomenal as was the Cuban sandwich. We took some cupcakes home and everyone raved about the flavor and taste. We will be back!

Delicious! Can't say enough good things about the food and service. The brisket is the best we've had in a reallyyyy long time. Hands down, the best meal you'll get anywhere on the Space Coast.

The brisket and key lime pie were incredible!

The short ribs were delicious and tender, and the sweet and smoky BBQ sauce only made it better. The brisket was juicy, tender and delicious. The chicken was great, but kind of dry. The coleslaw was wonderful, the collard greens were nice and so were the rice and peas. For dessert, I had a mango cupcake and my sister had the Chocolate Cup cupcake. The lady operating the desserts drizzled some kind of mango pulp sauce, and asked me to leave a review. The mango flavour wasn't artificial, but rather seemed based on mango pulp; similar to the mango flavour of kulfi. The cupcake was soft and had a pudding interior. Everything about it screamed mango, and I loved it. My sister loved her cupcake as well. The staff were very kind. I would rate this place more than 5 stars if I could!

We have family in Merritt Island. Everytime we visit from NC, we come to Ludz. Authentic Jamaican cuisine, Mattie’s incredible baked goods and good conversation with the owners…it’s like coming home for dinner. Love this place 10/10!!!

We stopped in because it looked quick and quiet, and we were very surprised. The food was INCREDIBLE. The service was amazing and we got our food very quickly. We’ve debated going back tomorrow. The people at the table next to us were also very impressed and said it’s possibly better than the original.

My wife and I were looking for a place to get coffee after eating at a nearby restaurant. We didn’t even know Ludz was there without a closer look. We walked in and were skeptical at first; until the owner began talking to us. Warm, friendly inviting people who treat you like they care. My wife had an espresso I had a latte and we shared a slice of key lime pie. The pie was delicious and the coffees were perfect! We live in Orlando but find ourselves in their area regularly and will make sure we stop in again. Please come out and support this local business, wonderful people, providing great food with excellent service and a friendly smile.

My family thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Ludz. The brisket, chicken ,sides and Ms Mattie’s cheesecake was Amazing!!! And… the blue crabs were so fresh. The personal service made us feel right at home.

Ford is delicious I had the crabs and shrimp, perfectly seasoned and our 2yo loved the boneless ribs and Mac and cheese, and of course their cupcakes are yummy we really enjoy our visits to this place
