Delicious sandwiches and QUALITY!

Harold and his team are amazing 🤩! We used them for a catering job and they went beyond our high expectations! Everything was delicious, beautiful and tailored to our specific requests... never saying "we can't do that"....when challenged with our many requests and changes! They did it all and well! Our new go to for any future events! They're not just a sandwich shop..we had skewers, pulled pork, chicken salad and subs!! Thank you guys for everything! My daughter and her fiance loved it!

Service was great! I really enjoyed trying their pickle sub, it was a delicious option if you want to cut down on bread.

Their pork roll, egg, and cheese is second to none. The roll is awesome, and they do several slices of thinly sliced pork roll cooked to perfection. This adds a whole new dimension to the sandwich. It gives it the perfect texture. It's hard to go wrong with a PE&C, but 95% of all other places make them exactly the same as the next place. This place stands out with an awesome and unique sandwich!

Waffle was soft and doughy and no flavor. Breakfast sandwich came and cheese wasn't melted and it was on a super soft roll. Service was good and people were nice. Prices were good but the breakfast food was awful.

The food is consistently fresh and delicious. We get lots of takeout sandwiches plus go there often for breakfast, which is terrific. The owner is the chef and you can count on him for great quality food. We highly recommend it.

I order from lunch box all the time and have never been disappointed until tonight. I ordered a fried flounder sandwich and a meatball parm sandwich that cost me $28,81! The fried flounder was good, but the meatball parm was horrible! It looks like they cut 3 meatballs and sliced them to cover the entire sandwich with about 2 tablespoons of sauce. I have never been disappointed as I stated, but the meatball parm was a WISH SANDWICH..... 2 PIECES OF BREAD AND YOU WISH YOU HAD SOME MEAT! WAWA makes a better meatball parm!

Cheesesteak was delicious and the crinkle cut fries were hot and crispy!!

Ordered a sandwich platter for Super Bowl and I must say the sandwiches were outstanding fresh plenty of meat soft fresh rolls. Will definitely order again.

Staff was very helpful and friendly and we both got the super Italian hoagie and it was the best hoagie we’ve ever had ! Hoagies done the right way and the bread was to was amazing!

Excellent sandwiches the only drawback is the bread is not very good it’s spongy. I would’ve liked a nice hard crispy outside with a nice soft inside roll. Perhaps they should go to Zano’s and get some of their bread or import some from up North Jersey. But all in all, a nice sandwich with nice people who make your sandwich for you

I’ve been going in to Lunch Box On 9 for several years. The subs are absolutely delicious and it’s truly an amazing find. They have so much meat on the sandwich, it’s always fresh, and you will never be disappointed . Most recently I witnessed the owner, kindly accommodating a customer that had very limited funds. She was scrounging in her pocket for money to try to buy something with whatever money she had. I suspect she was very hungry and the owner said to her get whatever you want. He brought out a huge sandwich for her. It truly brought tears to my eyes at the level of compassion he has. I frequent many restaurants, and I never have seen this. Thankyou for providing delicious food and great service ..

Haven't been to the establishment in a few years but it was just like I remember (when they first opened up) but better! I just caught them about a half hour before closing and they made my sandwich to perfection! It was so fresh and delicious! Can't even compare to other places because LunchBox knocks them all out of the park! They made my sub like they were making it for a loved one. You can see and taste the freshness and the heart they put into what they do! I literally can't rave about this place enough! I have been recommending them since the day they opened their doors in 2017/2018, and I will continue to do so!! This sandwich made my birthday just a little more special this year! Please don't ever stop what you are doing!

I'm staying across the way and the front desk lady had suggested we give these folks a try. The food was amazing and the portions were huge! If you find yourself out this way, stop in and give them your money, you won't be disappointed!

I was looking for a good sub in the area and was going to go to Jersey Mike’s b/c I didn’t know if any other places. I went to Lunchbox on 9 instead and I’m glad I did. Service was on point, sub is amazing, great prices… This place is now on my list! Oh and I even added key lime pie to my order. If I could give 10 stars I would. Great place, Great People and Great Food.

Their subs are phenomenal! Very good quality from the bread, to the deli meat/cheese. The staff are very welcoming and super friendly! I have recommended this place and no one is ever disappointed.

Lunchbox on 9 always comes through! We ordered a cheesesteak with peppers, onions, mushrooms and chopped pepperoni on garlic bread and it was PERFECT!

Ive waited to write this for a while and have not been there since summer but they need to know some thoughts from the customers. For the last 2 years myself and my fishing buddies would always get our hoagies and sandwich there and the food is very good thats why I am leaving 4 star to not affect the overall rating but thier customer service is below a star and not even worthy of a rating. We always call ahead of time to make an order, most times they do not answer the phone or it is constantly busy. We call 20 mins ahead of time or more but when we get there you usually have to wait another 10-15 mins since they did not even start it yet. When you walk in the door you have to wait in a long line of people "ordering" food, I already ordered, i just want to pick it up. The staff is always just not friendly, not rude but not nice. You walk in the door, no one ever greets you, mostly the guys who are the owners I think seem to not care about the customers. It is ALWAYS unorganized and even the lady that works the counter barely says hello or ask you to help. How about this, get an APP!!! If you cant answer the phone get an app so we can order, its not hard. Also, when I call in an order, let me prepay and have it ready on a table. You need to figure out the mess at your counter! I dont like the Jersey hoagies guys that much down the road but they have an app, the meal is ready when I walk in, they are friendly!! And seriously, why dont you have CPR, Cherry Pepper Relish??? You are a NJ sub shop and have no CPR, REALLY???? You have great food but your service and counter are horrible!!!! Well I am adding to my review after the response from owner, Yes, for the past 2 summers you were open and we waited in your lines with your rude service. YEs, I did ask for CPR and was told you were getting it by the lady at the counter. Great your busy, how about being nice to people or even saying hello when they walk in which you never do. Your response here is just like your pathetic attidue when customers come into the store. YEs, the food is NEVER ready when you call in over 30 minutes earlier, YES eveyone complains when they wait in your counter lines. Why do I need to wait behind 10 people ordering food when I already ordered and just want to pick up. Yes, Your service is a disaster and you really dont seem to care. I will be changing my ratings based upon your complete lack of professionalism and human decency in your aswer. Get an app instead of 5 lines since they dont work and you dont care. And still no cherry pepper relish!!! We ask every time we pick up an order and I cannot understand why any sandwhich/hoagie shop in NJ does not have it!! They say the have red pepper flakes, thanks, when you serve pizza Ill ask for that. And whats the issue with NOT wrapping the hoagies all the way and ALWAYS leaving bread exposed to get wet in the cooler, every single time!! They did rearrange the inside to better serve the customers, nice work! Since we do eat here alot Im upgrading the ratings but the owner still needs to work on his friedliness .

Changed my negative review from 2 years ago. The place has DRASTICALLY improved in the past year and the new staff is very friendly and provides great service! The food has gone back to the way it used to be, with some improvements. The broccoli cheddar bites I had were made with white cheddar, which was a pleasant surprise! I'm glad to see this place has come back around and I love coming in for lunch on Fridays.

Hot or cold sub/sandwhich you need to be super hungry. Honestly this is my go to place for a sub now. Dont even want to consider Jersey Mikes anymore.

Huge portions and amazing flavors. This is no ordinary sub shop. Huge selection of hot and cold food. They will make almost anything you ask. They practically overstuff the sandwiches with meat, so you always make out like a bandit. I stop by almost every morning for my breakfast and coffee. My whole family loves getting food from here when they visit too. Simply an awesome shop with great food and awesome people.

Went to this place earlier today with three other family members. Our order went as follows: . Pastrami Sandwich . Roast Beef Sandwich . Buffalo Chicken Cheese Steak (Breaded) . Chicken & Cheese Quesadilla 1. There wasn't even WATER to drink. (Only Pepsi, Snapple, Prime, and Gatorade) 2. When we were seated, we had to immediately move tables due to the leaking AC unit. 3. Order was COMPLETELY screwed up; only one item ordered was actually made properly. 3b: The Pastrami Sandwich was a Pastrami Sub. 3c: The Buffalo Chicken Cheese Steak and the Chicken & Cheese Quesadilla were MERGED into a Buffalo Chicken Quesadilla. 3d: Once what was stated in 3c was fixed, I got a Buffalo Chicken SUB. No cheese; no steak. Plus, the chicken was shredded, not breaded. Food: 1/5 Atmosphere: 3/5 Service: 0/5 TL;DR: Go to Jersey Mikes instead.

Have had breakfast and lunch from this spot on many occasions I’ve never felt hungry after a meal and the prices are amazing for what you are getting definitely recommend to anyone in the area looking for amazing food !

Lunchbox on 9 by far has the best subs on the Jersey shore. Whether you’re in Bayville, Forked River, Waretown, or Barnegat they are worth the drive. They always stack their lunch meats high and you get twice the value for the same price as Jersey Mikes (and they use higher quality meats with less sodium and less additives!) The staff is very family oriented and always accommodating to a customer’s needs. Their mini subs and 6 footers are a no brainer for parties and their chicken salad is one of the best I’ve ever had. If you haven’t tried this local business be sure to stop in! You won’t be disappointed

Had a great experience here I called ahead to order when arrived very busy but greeted and was in and out I got home to have a subs for lunch and they were packed with meat and so fresh. The bread wasn’t soggy or hard. Def a gem local business and a must try we will be back!

Absolutely horrible customer service, placed an order and was told it would be a half hour, over an hour later our food shows up. My order was wrong, and when I called to let them know I was told that's how they always do it, even though its NOT that way on their menu. We order from there alot and this isn't the first mistake and not their first time not correcting it. I will never spend another dollar at this establishment. I would give 0 stars if I could. Actually I never complained about peppers, that's a lie, and I only hung up after hearing "that's how we always make it" 5 times. I understood you saying that's how you always make it. My point was what you made and your MENU, the one that ppl order from were DIFFERENT. Enjoy your day right back.

This is the real place that has "the meats"! They make a great sandwich, hot or cold. The hoagie rolls are huge and overflow with your favorite cuts of meat and cheese. They are very accommodating for catering trays. It is a local small business worth patronizing!

Pork roll egg and cheese was good enough that I grabbed another one a couple days later. Staff was really friendly! I would definitely recommend if your looking for a quick breakfast sandwich in the morning!

Burger was so well done and so dry I thought I was in the Sahara desert. Get the subs they’re really good. Burger is like the old hokey puck burgers from the school cafeteria

Today August 10, 2022, I stopped by the "Lunch Box" a Deli that has been bringing in high praise for their great hoagies, but breakfasts as well. As I walked in, I noticed that the front door was boarded up and a temporary door was installed. I asked the owner and he explained to me that, on August 3, a motor vehicle backed out, hit a utility pole, and then accelerated right into the building. When the fire department arrived, they found a Honda had struck the front of the business causing damage and shifting of a load-bearing wall. The Lunch Box had to temporarily close. The Lunch Box on 9 th. Anyway, I went in and ordered the time-tested Pork roll, egg, and cheese (PEC) on a Kaiser roll. After a short wait, my breakfast sandwich came out all wrapped up in foil. It smelled yummy. I went up to the Dunkin and got an iced coffee and sat in my jeep and enjoyed the best pork roll egg and cheese sandwich I have ever eaten, and mind you I have had plenty. The roll was soft but had a great crust, the egg was plentiful, and the amount of pork roll was OMG just breathtaking all covered by a creamy melted cheese. I will be coming back to this deli for sure. The prices are a bit high at $17.99 for a whole hoagie, but if it is anything like the PEC sandwich, it will be well worth it. In closing, if you are looking for a great hoagie come to the "Lunch Box" I can assure you, with their style and generous amounts of meat, and great service, you will not be disappointed.

Stay away from this place they literally charge you extra meat and don't put it on the sandwich!! Happened multiple times and they'll tell you "they didn't see it on the ticket"

WOW!!! What great food and tasty fresh sandwiches and subs!!!! this place is outrageously good and it's now my favorite place to go. The turkey sub and roast beef subs were the two best I've ever had anywhere!!! You've got to try this place! UPDATE: I went back in today 3/23/22 and ordered a half of a #5 super sub... It was totally PERFECT!!! Best tasting sub I've ever had around here, and worth the drive.... I could barely finish it!!! It was huge, and tasted what a REAL SUB should taste like!! So sorry, to all the other sub shops around, but this place has got you all beat, GUARANTEED!!! And now, I can't wait to go back and get a breakfast sandwich tomorrow morning!!!
