Very laid back lounge. Staff is very friendly and insightful. My only complaints are that they don't serve liquor and their cigar selection is rather limited as compared to other venues. Other than that, nice place.

The place is very well stocked and the atmosphere is pretty cool but the customers were way more helpful and friendly than the staff. Not particularly rude or anything, just not very friendly. Additional info... I believe it was March 12th. The gentleman who rang me up wasn't rude but it "appeared" that I was bothering him and he was very short with me. It was still a good experience. There was a man named Mickey that was very friendly and helpful sitting at the bar that even offered to pay for my cutter! Please don't get me wrong, you have a very nice establishment!

It's been quite some time since I've been in a cigar lounge. I would typically prefer Scotch, but at just past noon, a beer was perfect. I met a friend there I grew up with. He had a Fuente Hemingway Classic. Since I had a bunch of them in my humidor, I opted for an Oliva V Series maduro Churchill. The cigar selection was quite good, regardless your preference, with a wide selection of brands, blends and sizes.

By far my new favorite spot. Definitely recommend

A very nice cigar bar! Great atmosphere and service. I asked for some advice and came home with three sticks. Wide selection of cigars and plenty of comfortable leather chairs to enjoy them in. Not tomention a number of beers on tap. Will certainly be back here soon!

Very nice well run cigar shop. Selection and supplies are always plentiful. Staff is always friendly and helpful. I especially like that they are very Perdomo friendly. I've been smoking Perdomos since 2004 and know Nick and the family well. I've been coming here for a while now, but just realized no review. Sorry about that. Living about 30 miles north, I don't get here as much as I would like, but when I am in the area, I always make stop and grab some sticks. Also, I enjoy getting my text message updates on special events and promotions. Thanks for all you do!

Pleasant staff, large selection of fine cigars. Chairs so comfortable you could sleep in them. Even when it was full of customers the smoke was not ever that bad. Reccomend to anyone regardless of if you know cigars are don’t and are learning. Everyone is willing to throw their opinions out to help you.

I was visiting town and my good friend wanted a cigar, so he took me here and it was a great time. Great atmosphere for drink'n & smoke'n with friends. The bartender was very knowledgeable and cool af! Definitely would go back. Cheers!

This place is great. Awesome atmosphere and great people. Great service. Cameron is great and so is the other older guy who bartends. Owner is great as well and very friendly and welcoming.

I stopped by to visit this cigar bar. A largecselection of good cigars. David greeted me and helped me select a few of my favorite cigars. I smoked one with a beer, at the bar, and then took the rest home. There were about 6 other guests enjoying a cigar. Definitely a place I would stop again, when in the area.

I have been here several times over the years and in that time, there have been a few owners. The current owners, Paul, his wife and son-in-law have finally unlocked the potential of this place. The space itself was always great but the decor, friendliness and perhaps most importantly, the cigar selection, were all lacking. I go to a cigar bar for more than just smoking a cigar. I can do that at home. No, I go for the shared camaraderie and conversations that cigar smokers are known for. In the past, this place seemed to be cold and uninviting. I felt it was different from the moment we walked in when we were genuinely greeted by Paul. Cigar selection has been expanded with not only more brands but more selection within the brands themselves. Paul even spent about 10 minutes sitting with my father-in-law, wife and myself, sharing his story and his passion for cigars. We have already planned our next visit and can't wait.

I moved here from Pennsylvania last week. I found Maduro and feel right at home. The people are super friendly and welcoming. Best cigar bar ever!!!! It’s worth going to this location. Great selection of cigars as well. Thanks Paul!

My husband used to be in monthly for a box of cigars, no issues, everyone friendly and helpful while he chose a different box to try. About 3 months ago I stopped in to pick up a box and the guy running the counter was unfriendly and acted like I was a complete waste of his time. My husband was on the phone with me and the guy and noticed too. We thought he was having a bad day. Hubs stopped in and got the same treatment the next month from the same guy. This last time was the same. Rude, short and curt. We will not be back. It's a shame because the owner is friendly and the atmosphere used to be welcoming. I don't know what changed but we miss the old atmosphere.

Best cigar lounge in Bradenton Sarasota area..

Went there for the first time yesterday. I had a good experience! Even though the guy that was working there at the time kept staring at me.. but other than that I had a great time. They have good amount of variety of cigars and beers. Ended up buying 3 different Dunbarton Tobacco and Trust cigars and smoked one of them there. I met 2 humble gentleman Joe and Joe great guys! Definitely will return in the future.

As soon as I walked in there was only two people at the bar and the bartender didn’t even acknowledge me at all. Later he approaches me and just stares at me. Didn’t say hi how can I help you made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Never going there again thanks to the bartender Bob!

My gosh! The personal touch of hospitality goes a long way here. Dee Dee was so knowledgeable and super friendly with cigars and wine tasting. Last night Frank Sinatra vibes were in the building for 2 hours serenading us. Perfect for a Tuesday to relax and unwind. Love this place, love the owners and I highly recommend!!

Excellent and welcoming establishment. Its usually the owners and management that make the difference and that is definitely the case at Maduro. The owners pay close attention to detail and their customers. Paul is a true gentlemen who knows his trade and Dee Dee is as sweet as the day is long. Very fortunate to be a regular here! Special event or winding down after work, its always a pleasure.

This store is fantastic. A large array of cigars and cigar related products. Almost all of the staff are intelligent and friendly. I would give them a 5 star rating, but there is an employee who isn't very nice and could definitely use some CSR training. But, the owner is a good man with a good heart, so give them a try. You won't be sorry!

Awesome place. They carry Davidoff which is a huge plus! Ventilation can be a little issue, but nothing to deter you.

I have a place 30 minutes away and this is the spot I choose to smoke at when I'm in town. Staff is always great and met Paul the last time I was there. This will be the place I go to when I'm in town.

Best cigar lounge in the city, been coming for years. Paul the owner is super chill and inviting. Don’t hesitate to visit. Events happen regularly with live music and discounts. Grab a draft beer and a stick, watch a game and relax with some buddies.

Of the many cigar bars have been to, Maduro at University has to be my favorite. Everything from the selection and reasonable prices, comfortable lounge setting, extremely friendly and knowledgeable employees and owner, and awesome clientele makes this place a real winner. If you enjoy cigars and good company this is the place in Sarasota. I especially want to thank Paul, Bob and Kevin for making my experience unforgettable.

Tolle Zigarrenlounge mit Bar. Sehr gute Auswahl an Zigarren. Die Lounge ist gemütlich und es ist schön, mal eine Stunde dort abzutauchen und sich zu entspannen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und auch der Chef kümmert sich um die Gäste. Ab und an gibt es Livemusik und eine Band, was wirklich klasse ist. Am Sonntag steht NFL auf dem Plan und die Gäste schauen dort die Livespiele. Als Getränke gibt es Bier, Wein und Softdrinks. Das Maduro gibt es nocheinmal an anderer Stelle in Sarasota, dieses hier ist aber in unmittelbarer Nähe der Universität.
