Delicious. My S-I-L ate there for the 1st time & they did not disappoint! We also got my brother the Country Fried Steak meal to go & he enjoyed it very much. I got a bite of it & hmmm, it was DELISH! We will go back. The only unfortunate thing is that their winter hours are shorter. They closed at 2:00 pm. But that's THEIR BUSINESS & it is winter so perhaps they are open longer hours in spring/summer/fall (?).

The only reason I gave one star is because my husband and I drove all the way there for breakfast and they were closed. The website said they were open. Time to update Marcy Jo's website and correct the hours of operation. How disappointing.

This place is an absolute GEM!! Everything was delicious. Some of the best sausage gravy I have had.

If you're a foodie like me, I don't think that you could go wrong here.

Great little hole in the wall restaurant/Cafe in a rustic old turn of the century building. Food is good at affordable pricing and the people working there are good friendly folks. Want to take a trip in time. Check out Marci Jo's . You will be glad you did. It's a shame the other two location shut down.

Marcy Jos is the best! I've come here my whole life and now I bring my own children! I CRAVE the stuffed French toast, it's made with fresh housemade, thick cut bread. They put so much filling and topping on it as well! The employees and owners are all so kind every time, they all truly care about their customers!❤️

We had an excellent experience. Our meal was perfect. We had to try the famous cinnamon rolls and they did not disappoint. Delicious. Marcy Jo’s is a small eatery so be ready for a crowd. Come prepared for excellent southern cooking and a warm and inviting atmosphere.

My boyfriend Lyle and I came again this year to Marcy Jo's Restaurant and had a awesome lunch. My favorite restaurant in Tennessee. I Love ❤️it.

The food here is absolutely home-made, the angel biscuits are out of this world! There will probably be a wait but it is worth it between the tasty food and down to earth pricing you can't go wrong! By far this is one of my favorite places!

Worth the stop to eat at this little restaurant. Food was good and lots of it. I couldn’t eat all I had on my plate. There are homemade cinnamon rolls too. The people at our table got strawberry cake and Coca-Cola cake to go. Both looked delicious. I would come back to Marcy Jo’s if I am in town ever again. Google maps is kind of strange getting you there from the west. You can not drive straight across bear creek road to get to it, so you might think about a turn South on 431 and doing a U turn down the road a ways or thinking about waiting for traffic to clear in both directions and cross 431 right at the intersection but traffic might prevent it.

First time coming, and I had heard about this place a bunch, and it was absolutely amazing. Not going to name names but a down home country restraunt based out of Lebanon Tn definitely stole their French Toast idea from Marcy Jo's. The gravy and biscuits were delicious. Home potatoes are just like my momma cooks but add some onion in there. Anywho, absolutely delicious and worth th drive if you aren't close. Also worth the wait....I promise.

Excellent food in a very "interesting" 100yo house. It's got a significant lean and buckling floor ( i.e. trip hazard). Love the history of the owners and great food....just need to spend something on the building before it falls down- seriously.

Cool looking place tons of antiques to check out. Food was fresh and excellent wife had country fried steak I had biscuits & gravy. Both meals were great especially the gravy very flavorful obviously homemade. Prices were very reasonable lots of locals stopping by to pick up freshly baked cinnamon rolls. Would definitely stop by here again.

This is an amazing place with the sweetest folks working; Marcy, Magen, Gracie and so many others. This is a well oiled business but really, this is family! Every one of these ladies makes you feel like family and with the pictures of Joey and Rory and other friends and family on the walls along with license plates from all over and signatures of many who have come, including myself! This little ole building has been lovingly restored and held together by love! Can't wait until next summer!!

Every year we enjoy mothers day here. The cinnamon rolls are terrible, and you should just donate them to me. I'll eat em to save the world. Also, you should not eat the stuffed French toast. It is terribly delicious! ***DISCLAIMER*** I am joking about the cinnamon rolls, and the French toast. They are AMAZING!!!

Needs some major clean up; upgrades, paint etc. A loose plank kicked up as I walked toward the door. The waitress was very pleasant, polite, and did a great job.💗

Small, nostalgic and great biscuits

Breakfast was delicious. Coffee was fresh and hot. I had the breakfast sandwich, my father in law had the Rory, and my husband had eggs with country ham. We couldn't miss the cinnamon roll. Not your traditional cinnamon roll, but ask for it hot. Fabulous!

I got 'Rory's Overall Special' - Angel biscuits, sausage patties, eggs, sausage gravy and cheese. Wow! How is this not on menus everywhere? My wife had a western omelette. Everything was delicious. Service was abundant and friendly. We were full so we took Elvis cake to go. Of course we've had that by now and it was also sweet and delicious!

Stopped in while riding on a suggestion from another rider. Great food and service. Will definitely stop in again.

Went for breakfast this morning and was so excited because it had been awhile. Love MJ's but have to say I was taken aback to find they changed their biscuits. NOT country biscuits, more like dinner rolls from the grocery store. What happened? Big disappointment but I still LOVE you Marcy Jo's!!! 😍

Really good food, great atmosphere and good customer service! I ordered a fried bologna sandwich and fried okra. Parents ordered meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans and corn! I would definitely go back

Great small diner lots of history. We stopped for lunch on Sunday which we found out is breakfast only. So we just ordered cinnamon rolls for the table. They were worth it to get a taste of homemade. Overall fun spot to drop in and get a bite. Signed the wall and enjoyed the atmosphere.

This place has it all. We took a slight detour on our way to the Jack Daniels distillery to check it out. I wouldn't even know how to describe the amazing southern cooking I enjoyed and the staff are a pleasure to interact with. Put this place on your list.

The BEST cinnamon roles in all the land!! This was one of the greatest stops of our weekend!

We have not been to the actual restaurant and probably won't at this point. All we ever heard was how great the cinnamon rolls are at Marcy Jo's. We also heard about the horrendously high prices for 1 cinnamon roll, but we still figured we would give it a try. We drove out from a neighboring county (great drive) and loved the decor inside the bakery building in Caney Springs. A lot of neat things in there. However, we came for the cinnamon rolls. My wife and I ordered a Cinnamon Roll and our son wanted to try the Strawberry Cake. I also ordered a Caramel Macchiato coffee, that was barely luke warm at best. We did not eat the cinnamon rolls at the cinnamon rolls at the bakery and we opted to take them home for the next day. My wife heated them up per recommendations from the staff and while they warmed up nicely, there was ZERO cinnamon, cinnamon sugar or anything that would depict it a cinnamon roll. The frosting/glaze was nice being a cream cheese type glaze, but nothing in the cinnamon roll made it a cinnamon roll. The Strawberry Cake was "ok" but did not have any strawberry pieces in the cake itself and the frosting overpowered the cake flavor. Although you get a nice sized piece for the $8.00+, it is definitely NOT worth the drive or price for an imposter!

No wood for stove so it was cold that day inside...went to the actual backery and a tall blonde redish hair lady seemed to be bothered by me wanting to buy cupcakes and some fried desert to go... packaged in a non closable take out box....yeah will be a long time before I go and spend another $ 100 plus there for 2 people

Sent my husband for cinnamon rolls at Marcy Jo's Bakery and this is what they call cinnamon rolls!!!! More like a coffee cake then cinnamon rolls and they where cold, seems like they were leftovers from Sunday.

The food was exceptional! home-cooked with awesome homemade bread and a fantastic cinnamon roll! Outstanding service, friendly people, and the food again is spectacular!

I don’t usually leave bad reviews but this place is waaay overrated. I got a cinnamon roll to go and the girl running the counter warmed it in the microwave. I told her I didn’t want it warmed because I was taking it home and it would be tough. She didn’t care. The bacon and eggs were the only thing good. The country fried steak was horrible and the hashbrown casserole was curdled. I love Joey and Rory’s music but this place was not good.

Come for the amazing breakfasts, the fried bologna sandwich or the cat fish special, and then stay for a cinnamon roll or any number of other sublime desserts! This is comfort food at its best.

Met family traveling thru TN for breakfast. The place was not what I expected, it's just an old house renovated for a restaurant. It may look unassuming, but don't let it fool you! The people are friendly and the food is great! It was worth the drive and I look forward to coming back again soon!

Service was good but the food was just average. Nothing spectacular. I got the Overall special (think that was the name) where they cover a biscuit in gravy, topped with eggs, and bacon. Also got a piece of German chocolate cake (was my bday). It was all good but nothing stood out. I figured a spot like this would have food with more flavor. 🤷

Food was great. Waitress never refilled my drink. Several of us at a table and she reached over my food TWICE to hand someone theirs without going around the table. THAT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN DONE

Such fun enjoying breakfast in this cosy, past century bldg that reminded me of a childhood country store in the village near our farm. Have made it a point to stop here several times travelling from Florida to Michigan. Definitely worth the stop.

My husband said best sausage gravy and biscuits ever. And after finishing off my salsa asked me to order a gallon!

The food is less then okay and Marcy is the worst business owner I've ever met she chooses cheap un reliable staff over staff willing to put blood sweat and tears into her business she'd rather leave 2 people to run her restaurant then even dare to offer someone from the bakery the food practices are also extremely unhygienic

Unique lunch destination..worth the drive. Bakery items especially yummy.
