Some of the best Jamaican food I've ever had, extremely affordable as well. Huge portions for the price.

The food was not good. In other words, it was bad. The customer service was terrible. The cook who I guess is the manager was very mean-spirited and and the cashier was the same. How can you have bad food and bad customer service??? In this day and time, be careful who cooks your food. Spirits do transfer.

Just absolutely disgusting yall! Over night food, rice wet and hard, food heated up in microwave, dumplins hard as rock! Trash.. and I'm not happy because they were playing gospel and have scriptures up front. My hard earn money doesn't deserve to go down like this trash!

Absolutely delicious! I ordered a large brown stew chicken plate with rice and peas, cabbage and plantains. I used to eat here years ago and I missed the food so much. Thank you to the kind staff who served me today!

Shocked how many ppl said they were so nice! He was extremely rude when I came by. I went in to get a Togo menu, so we could analyze and strategically determine the damage we were going to make when we go back for dinner. The older gentleman who answered was so RUDE! Those days are over, just go to the website...okay, stupid move in my opinion, but okay. It's a small franchise, okay you get a pass bc that's just extra cost, etc...So, I tried to take a picture of the menu on the wall of the menu, we don't allow you to take pictures either. Go to the website, okkkkay. Can't take a picture of the wall size menu either. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Final straw for me, you just don't want any business sir! Acting like a mean old grumpy man. So, yeah shocked with this niceness everyone else is seeing. What's the website??? Response: Just Google Max and Me and it will pop up. ....Little does he know, Max and Meme pops up! Another restaurant, I had to go back and search again....all to say, I hate bad customer service! Next, it doesn't look very clean in the restaurant, pretty much what you see on the pictures posted here.... Needless to say, I recently moved and passed this place and looks like I'll continue doing just that passing by! Just thought I'd drop my review along the way. Never tasted the food, we didn't even get that far....

The jerk chicken is amazing and so flavorful. Good atmosphere, and those sweet plantains they make are so good.

Do not buy the bottled drinks, mine was expired and they would not change it.

Pros- Friendly staff. Oxtail was good- nice flavor. Cons- Rice was horrible. Very soggy/mushy and had very little beans and no flavor. Definitely cannot call it rice and peas. My biggest concern...... while waiting for my food a German Roach came walking across the floor. It took everything in me to eat the food after this, but after spending $70 on 3 plates and drinks, I was obligated. I can't help but think that this is why there's signs stating that you are not allowed to eat inside. Overpriced. Will not be back. Wish them well.

This is the worst Jamaican food evvaaaaa. Rice and peas piakka piakka wet and mushie mushie no seasoning on food no taste whatsoever. Jerk pork tasted like pot roast with no seasoning, cabbage looks and taste like it was just cut up cook and served no seasoning or trimmings no carry no bell peppers no nothing. On top of all that they wanna chat for fry dumplings separately changed for plantains separately as well. Bunn it down maybe the food will taste betta

Had a large soup today and when I tasted it. It was extremely salty. It also taste as if canned red beans were used instead of fresh cooked beans. Also tasted liked canned soup used. I'm accustomed to a lot better. May be good for some but had to throw it out. Please stop passing this kind of food off as authentic Jamaican cuisine.

I was really disappointed with this place. I read the reviews and decided to try it out since I was in town. First of all the food was cold. And my 2 orders of chicken were also burnt. It was either cooked in old oil or was burnt earlier and decided to serve it. No way you serve this to customers. That chicken bling in the garbage. Don’t take peopl hard earned money like that. That’s not right and I will not be back.

I knew I should not have come to this place! I drove a long distance and they are not even open. So many of these SAME business with useless service skills bad attitudes and can't even be open when you say you are. NEVER COMING BACK.

I visited this restaurant twice, mainly for their amazing beef patties. They're really good, and I highly recommend trying them when you visit.

I’ve been wanting a real Jamaican patty for days and today I finally got a chance to stop here. Craving satisfied! Great prices! We only got pattys and cake. Next time I will be getting a lunch special! The cake was AMAZING!

A nice Mom & Pop little cafe. The jerk chicken was perfect. They have meat patties & lunch specials. The pork is tender & the ribs are delicious. Very friendly people.

This is a nice little spot for some great food! The lady at the counter was really nice. The fried plantains were the best I've had. The jerked chicken was really good with nice heat. The curry goat was good as well, and it's good to know where I can get some. We will definitely be going back.

Took my nephew who moved here from Hawaii so he could taste some amazing island flavors different from what he is used too. He loved it . The most sweet woman greeted us . Cozy little spot, a hidden gem of Orlando if you want authentic Jamaican food made with LOVE.

I had the rib dinner, it was all end pieces and the meat was dry. My wife had curry goat and the meat was over cooked. Honestly, I Do not recommend.

Living in Miami probably makes my opinion very biased, because I’m surrounded by some of the best Caribbean food in the United States. With that being said, I thought it was unacceptable that most of my food was barely warm, If not cold. My plantains were cold in the middle, and I ordered the fried chicken, which technically had some of the best breading I’ve ever tasted in my life, but the chicken wasn’t even warm. Now the rice and peas should be a centerpiece of any Jamaican restaurant, but I didn’t taste the coconut milk, the rice was mushy, and there was only like two peas in the whole dish. I love supporting local restaurants and went out of my way to try this small local establishment because I believe in supporting local, but I would be concerned about the food not being proper temperature. With that being said, I ate all of my food because I’ll eat anything, anywhere, any time and never seem to get sick but those with a delicate stomach should maybe be wary

Best Jamaican food I’ve ever had! I wish I took pictures, but we ate it all so quick!! Incredible flavor and just enough of a kick. The place was small, but super cute and we were welcomed with warm, beautiful smiles! We live 45 mins to an hour away and will definitely be back!

They cooked the food for my mother’s funeral. Everyone, including Jamaicans, were very impressed by the taste and quality. I’ve been going twice a week ever since. Very nice and respectful staff. Strongly recommended!!

I walked in to a very warm "Welcome to Jamaica!" Which made me feel right at home. I've been craving ribs, and these were fall off the bone good. I've never had Jamaican soda, so I chose one and loved it. I love trying new things, and I even tried a sample of oxtail, which is amazing! 10/10 please visit for some good food!

Wonderful local restaurant. Accepts tap pay and full menu, plates brimming with delicious food and friendly staff. They have Jamaican sodas in several flavors and beautiful desserts. And bonus they have Jamaican Patties on deck! Will visit again or order on DoorDash. 🥰

The key to a delicious Jamaican restaurant is a good beef patty & coco bread. After a year of living in Apopka, I've found the best place by far. I know that I can tell all my family & friends - this place is the 1. The beef patty was just the right spicy & flaky. The coco bread...sweet. Will be back to try the rest of the menu. Thank you ❤

Some of the best oxtail I've had in a while! Amazingly large portion size for the price. I was expecting half the amount of food I actually got for the price I paid.

OK this is getting ridiculous. I paid $26 for this portion of chicken??? Now I remember why I stopped eating out unless I am going to a 4+ star restaurant, which is not often. The portion contained 1/4 chicken of mostly bones. What we are accepting these days is the unacceptable. Flavor was OK, but as a lover of Jamaican food, meh. As another customer previously stated, the plantains were very mushy; they are being held too long. I want to support our local businesses, but I'm tired of getting ripped off.

Love it, 1 of the best takeout carribean food i've had. Meat melts in your mouth. I don't even eat plantains but theirs OMG delicious. Highly recommended

Google place and delicious food

I was driving by when I spotted Max & Me, so I decided to stop by for some lunch. This is my first time trying Jamaican Food and the lady was even kind enough to let me try the Jerk Chicken which was flavorful, tender, and juicy. I ended up getting the Jerk Chicken meal which did not disappoint and I also had to get myself a Beef Pattie in which I loved. Definitely will come back and bring family and friends to this delicious place with such kind people.

I order from Max & Me pretty regularly and I have to say whether I UberEats or drive out there to dine in their beautiful spot, they are consistently amazing cooks. The food, the quality, the quantity, and the cost are all commensurate of one another and never ever ever disappoints. The family is also very kind and really care for their customers. I cant recommend this place enough!

Authentic jerk chicken, as good as any I've had in Jamaica. The portions are huge and the spice is perfect. If you are near by make the effort, great place.

Wow Wow Wow.... This is hands down the Best Jerk Chicken I have ever tasted. It literally falls right off the bone. Blackened just right but not too hot. You really don't even need to sauce. If u are ever in the Apopka area do yourself a favor and stop by this hidden gem. Prices are well worth the quanity and quality as well.

Curry goat and ox tail on par with the best of them. Jerk chicken has BBQ sauce in it. Not everyone (including me) likes the sweetness. Fast service.

Really great food! We had the oxtail meal and the curry chicken, along with fried dumpling/pastry (tasted like a magical donut, but even better, because it was closer to bread than cake). The food had rich, complex flavors. The meat was falling off the bones! The fried plantains, perfect! My first forkful of the side cabbage, in the meal, I thought they would be plain and overcooked. No! They were filled with magical umami. Really delicious. The gentleman who took our order was from Jamaica, super friendly and recommended everything "Food of the Gods" - and he was right! Next time we're in the area, we will definitely go back. The inside is tiny, the outside has enough seating. It's a small "mom and pop" type place that I would highly recommend!

First time visiting this joint. It’s a small quaint spot in the middle of old Apopka. The customer service was good. I asked for oxtail gravy on my rice as peas and was told that I could not get it. A little disappointed, but I moved on. The chicken was re-warmed, which was fine because it was smoked to perfection. The cabbage was fresh and crunchy- plus one. Anyhow, I look forward to returning real soon!

First time at this restaurant, don't do reviews but I had to give one for this. I've been jumping around from Jamaican restaurants to another and this place by far the best. I ordered the oxtail going to curry chicken both platters was a nice size and delicious will be going back for more.

We found this little hole in the wall right as we were leaving town. Saying their food was good is an absolute understatement. The oxtails that I had were so tender, that the slightest little suck had the meat falling right off the bone. The flavor literally took me on an adventure straight to Jamaica and made me feel like I finally found my home. Every time I go to Florida I will go to this place and I will get food here because I have had dreams about it. This place will forever hold a place in my heart.

Great little mom and pops jamaican restaurant. Good variety and authentic flavours. Highly recommend their goat, oxtail, and different jerks. So far I've only done dinner. Soon will need to try their lunch as well.

Food was lokey okay. It was not as authentic flavored as I expected it to be. The jerk pork was said to come from the pig's thigh 🤔. My daughter wanted a slice of cake and she ended up not liking it cause it tasted old. Hard pass next time.

Saw this place yesterday but I had already passed by it. Came back today and was not disappointed. Of course I had the oxtail peas and rice with plantain and fried dumplings. IT WAS FRIKKIN AMAZING! The gentleman in the back (not sure if he was the owner) was so kind and friendly, he gave me samples because I couldn’t decide what I wanted, everything tasted amazing. Made me feel as if I was back in Ochie. Will definitely be going back over and over again!

Delicious tasting food. Rice and peas was excellent, the sauce was excellent, the fried chicken was perfect. The food portion was so large that it was more than enough for two people. The bread was crispy on the outside and so soft on the inside. And this restaurant is on door dash, so you can have it delivered. Highly recommend trying the food.

Best oxtail in town!! I have lots of hole in the wall restaurants that I go to but this one beats them all. I stopped here at least once a week sometimes twice a week. I definitely recommend the oxtail you will be back. Max and me keep up the good cooking love your food.

We had the jerk chicken and jerk ribs. The portion sizes were enormous. The food was amazing, super spicy jerk seasoning with sweet bbq sauce that tasted house made. The beans and rice were gently seasoned. The bread tasted sinfully good, but you can't go wrong with fried rolls. We decided the sauce was good on everything. Also noteworthy, the plantains were the sweetest I have ever tasted. Sadly we did not save room for dessert, as they have several flavors of cake.

woww so good! this is the best food ive had in a long time and in the entire orlando area . so authentic feeling /tasting, and the chicken was so soft and delicious (tried the jerk chicken and chicken curry), rice was fluffy ... i bought extra to take home. the atmosphere is lovely to sit outside, and the employee who helped me was super sweet.
