The entrance is fairly dark, but once in, the service is attentive and warm. The food was delicious. Favorite, coconut rice with corn, so good. The portions are large. The only small disappointment was the satay.

My only complaint is that the food was a bit pricey. Also the mango sticky rice was gross. The mangos did not seem healthy. Everything else I ordered was absolutely DELICIOUS. The shrimp garlic noodles so tasty, the chef Specialty dishes were good! It was quick service too

Cute little spot with meter parking in front. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was kind and attentive, and the setting was very cozy and comfortable. Portions are quite big, enough to share and very tasty.

I was honestly upset that I went through with eating here however the options for the type of food Im accustomed to are limited in this area. I was from out of town and it was within walking distance of my hotel. When I walked in during lunch time most of the lights were off, there was a coating of dust over everything and an odor of oldness, the appearance was of a restaurant on its last leg with dirty and outdated furniture...I refuse to believe that people actually dine in this place...I immediately began to sneeze and could not stop until I exited. I ordered orange chicken and pad Thai noodles to go. The chicken tasted pre-breaded. I was highly disappointed that I paid over $20 for this quality of food.

Quiet atmosphere, great customer service but above all… Excellent food. We have been coming for years and wanted to share our favorite dishes: Pineapple Rice, Pad Thai, Pad See Yew, Orange Chicken, Chicken Satee… delicious peanut sauce! Hope you enjoy as much as we do!

I stopped by on a Friday evening and got to eat some delicious Thai food while having a friendly conversation with the owner. For a restaurant to be around for 29 years, you know they’re doing something right. The Pad See Ew and Green Curry were authentic and delicious. I’ll definitely come back!

We were staying right round the corner while in LA and were for a quiet place to dine. I was particularly looking for some Asian food while this popped up. Went over and was pleasantly surprised. It’s a nice cozy place and Paul is a really nice person and host. Took care of us really well. Oh and the food was really good too. We ordered chicken dim sums, prawn spring rolls, chicken & coconut rice and chicken fried rice. Every one of them was really well done. Thank you for your hospitality Paul!

Their Pad Thai was terrible I’ll never go back again. Pad Thai is common dish for me to order at Thai restaurants. I think they need to get some tips from Thai House, Thai Paradise, Chef G on 4th, or Pho VT on how to make it better because it was awful. So disappointed. Pad Thai shouldn’t taste like that. The worst Pad Thai I’ve ever had in my life, ended up throwing it up unintentionally. Also way too expensive just for one dish that didn’t even taste good. Other than that very nice and polite people.

I was randomly walking on Pico when I saw the lone restaurant open in the area at 10pm on Friday night. The neighborhood is a Jewish area and Sabbath is practiced. Pleasantly surprised how good the food is. Pick the specials on the right side of the menu. I had the Paul’s shrimp noodles. It was excellent!! It took inspiration from Italian shrimp scampi but with a twist of Thai flavor. I love it. David is the Thai owner with a distinctive goatee. He is very friendly.

Very tangy chicken pad thai passes the test. It has a really unique garlicky taste. The chicken fried rice is superb. The chicken satay is excellent. The papaya salad is great. You can ask for an unspicy version. The owner is very nice and attentive. This Thai restaurant stays open very late which is great. Meter parking.

Small Business Thai food owned by Paul and his wife. Home-made Thai food, food was delicious, and the customer service was impeccable. Cozy atmosphere, not much foot traffic due to remote work, Paul mentioned it used to be busy, now he barely gets any customers. Probably due to people working from home, little to no more business lunches at his location, or any small businesses nearby. Would definitely recommend the Red Curry and the Green Papaya Salad.

Despite their massive menu, my must order is their kanom jean nam ya. It isn't a popular dish, but Thai people know this is the most authentic dish that will feed the soul.

Solid neighborhood Thai food. The Tom Yum soup was a bit too sour and blend to my taste but still tasty with the glass noodles.

I had the pleasure of meeting Paul and his wife, who own and operate this wonderful restaurant. Paul is not only one of the kindest and most genuine people I’ve met in quite some time, but he's also a great cook, as is his wife. I highly recommend trying the red curry shrimp with vegetables and rice—it's absolutely delicious. Walking into their restaurant was a breath of fresh air because of Paul's genuine kindness and authenticity, which is quite uncommon in the area where we were staying. They use family recipes and are dedicated to preserving them without alteration. If you're craving good Thai food and excellent customer service, I highly recommend stopping by.

I never feel the need to write reviews, even if it’s a 1 star, however; this time I just HAD to. Paul, is very rude and racist. To make matters worse, the food was not edible what so ever. I never thought pad see yew and chicken fried rice could taste this bad. I am honestly surprised the ratings aren’t worse. Trust me, if you care for your self-respect, money and well-being DO NOT EAT HERE.

Delicious! I got the Big boy Pad see ewe and it was massive. The tray feeds 4 people easy. So good I came back for a second time this week. Probably my favorite Thai spot. Massive portions

Pretty gross. Empty resturaunt. Pad thai consisted of noodles, overcooked chicken,a few bean sprouts and peanut crumbles in an overly sweet sauce. The restroom smelled llike raw sewage and was right next to the kitchen.

Good here is AMAZING!!! Small hole on the wall with no ac bit if you like Thai food this place delivers on that aspect.. Food was an A++

Run, run, run. Worst Thai food we ever had. Ordered two pickup meals at 7:20 pm. Zero people in the restaurant on a Saturday night. Food was awful. Couldn't finish my Orange Chicken. Tasted like pre-cooked meals that had been nuked in a microwave or reheated as leftovers. Chicken was not fresh. Rubbery and chewy. The restaurant smelled bad, too. In my orange chicken, I found multiple pieces of wilted green onions, the part you'd cut off and toss in the garbage. Food was overseasoned to cover up that it's reheated crap. The rice and noodles were barely edible. Spring rolls were very bland. I left 80% of my meal uneatened, as fid my partner. Tossed it out. Garbage quality food with a high risk of food poisoning. Someone should send in the health code inspectors.

Run, run, run. This was the absolute worst Thai food we ever had. I got Orange Chicken. My wife got yellow curry chicken. I could barely eat mine. We arrived around 7:20 for pickup orders, and the entire restaurant was empty. It smelled funny, too, like sour food. My dish had green onions and broccoli in it. They included the wilted parts of the green onions that you'd normally throw out, so I had to pick those out. The chicken was rubbery and tough in both dishes, clearly they'd microwaved a pre-cooked dish. This place seems like a high level food safety violation place. We only hope we dont get food poisoning. Sure wish I had tried the food before leaving a tip. My meal was practically unedible.

We needed a place to eat after a concert and this restaurant was open late. It was quiet and we were not sure how it would be. What a wonderful surprise. We eat a lot of Thai food and I can honestly say, this food is was DELICIOUS!! The portions were so generous and the quality was top notch. I can’t wait to go back next time we are in LA. What a find…

A waste of time to be honest. Ordered a Sui Mai pork/shrimp, was cold/frozen types….disgusting absolutely…sent it away. Had a beer and came away….a complete waste of time and not recommended for anyone who is even desperate

This place is the bomb. I order takeout from here frequently and it's always consistently good and as a bonus it always arrives warm! That may seem like a little thing but I'm always getting lukewarm food went it arrives to my place. So I really appreciate it when it's perfect. I've had a few things from here: the David's Special ($19) , Orange chicken and coconut rice ($19), Paul's Special ($21) and Picolos special ($19). All are SO GOOD! My personal favorites are David's special which is minced chicken over rice with a fried egg and Paul's special which is shrimp over garlic noodles. The portions are also really big so I often have leftovers. I highly highly recommend this place.

The pad Thai was mushy and bland—with dry chicken. The beef broccoli was anemic and watery. The pork belly was ok but the sauce was very watery and flavorless. Spent over $65 on 3 large dishes. I will never order from here again, even though they are open late nights. The food is not worth it or the wait.

I always make sure to visit this restaurant when I’m in town. Their red curry shrimp is amazing! So much food, always fresh and they give you tons on shrimp with the order.

This has quickly become my favorite Thai restaurant. Everything was really excellent! They're also open till 2 a.m., so you can eat delicious meals late at night. I like how the dish isn't overly saucy. And all of the flavors came from actual spices. Perfection!

Hidden jem in the Beverley Hilla area. Very handy place not from the hotel I stayed near by. Family loved it. The portions were great, the food was very authentic. Drunken Noodle was my favorite dish. Delicious. They would also open very late in the night, that was very nifty while visiting the city. We could be coming back late in the evening and still put an order in. It worked out amazing. Also, very friendly staff. Thank you Melanee Thai for an amazing experience.

Courteous, fast and satisfying tasty authentic food.. good customer service over the phone too. Good price..I'm always anticipating the days for my preferred dishes... Definitely recommending.. they also have a great hot sake.

Look, I spent 100$ including tip. Food was absolutely not the best but also not the worst. I'm not complaining or bashing them. They simply are a family owned shop trying to survive. They need support like everyone else. So on that note thank you. Keep up the great work! Maybe try adding more spice and flavor but good atmosphere, clean menus, silverware and plates. WHERE: The decor is dated, dark wood and simple, but the flavor served with each plate more than makes up for it. (If you are someone like me who sometimes prefers these kind of places, then I think you will like it too). The restaurant is small and not noisy at all with booths, tables and three seats at a back bar. WHAT: We ordered the Steamed Veggie Wontons, King Fu Tofu with Pineapple, David's Special (with added shrimp) and Thai Iced Teas. Asked for spicy, but the food was not spicy. They have garlic chili sauce for the table though, so we just added that. WHO: We were a mixed party of vegetarians and meat eaters. This was a great restaurant for both. Service was pretty fast, especially with only one person working the front of the restaurant and one cook working the back. Our server, Paul, was efficient, helpful with the menu and eager to accommodate any requests. I asked for veggies added to my dish and he quickly listed off what would go great with my dish. PROS: Lots of flavor and Large Portions. CONS: only street parking, a little hard to find because sign is hidden from the street by a tree (and I'm not even sure it says the restaurant's name Melanee Thai". I think it just says Thai).

We ate here on our first evening in LA and just went for a walk and fell upon this fabulous restaurant. Great service from the onset as we had5 children with us. The staff did not seem fazed at all and welcomed us wit open arms. The service was very quick. Loved the atmosphere. Food was excellent and everyone enjoyed their meals even the fussy kids where we gt meals slightly adapted to their likings. Good wines on the menu. Definitely worth a visit

This is your "go to" Thai place only if you happen to live in the neighborhood or are passing by. Standard Thai dishes, nothing noteworthy, but nothing awful either. Usually very quiet at dinner, so great place for a conversation. Food is not memorable.

The place does not look like much (actually it even looks quite bad) but don't pay attention to it: the food is excellent, very fresh and tasty, the prices are reasonable and the service very efficient. I will definitely be back!

This is a little gem I recently "discovered"...only it's been around for years! Let's just say it's cleaner, more delicious, nicer people, more spacious, easier to park and better food than all the other Thai restaurants I've been to in LA in recent times. Divine spicy beef salad, amazing curries, everything is great! Especially the people there who are a family and mom cooks!

Melanie Thai has an alternate street food menu. Their boat noodle flavors were on point. Their green curry over rice was good. Happy to recommend them for this menu when in West Los Angeles.

Our first day in LA and we were delighted to top up with this Thai restaurant with delicious spring rolls, a well balanced hot and sour soup and an amazing green curry that instantly reminded me of the flavors of Asian dishes. Service was very friendly and would be very happy to drop by again.

This well situated restaurant is close to Century City, It is moderately priced but the portions are on the small side. The food is delicious but not remarkably so. The curry was good but a bit watery. The orange chicken had a nice flavor but the coating was somewhat uninspired. They ran out of thai beer when we arrived so we had to order just good ol' domestic.

Restaurant needs updating, but the service and the food is faultless. Fresh and scrummy, the curries are mouthwatering and the dumplings a joy to eat

Ordered the chicken Panang curry which was excellent. The rice noodles were a bit bland but tasty, could have been better. Service was very good. All in all a good dining experience, will go back.

This restaurant was referred to us by our local hotel. It's a small restaurant but owners are great hosts and the quality of the Thai food was something we kept going back for. In fact it was so good we ate there a number of times during our holiday. You cannot beat the quality of their food and their friendly service. This is not always easy to find when your travelling. I would recommend it to anyone who loves Thai food.

My boyfriend and I ate at this restaurant, and we had fantastic service. I ordered a chicken Thai soup which was excellent and the serving size was more than enough. My boyfriend ordered pad thai with chicken and he was extremely satisfied in the flavor and the portion size.

The food is almost perfect. The stuffed wings, pad Thai, Thai BBQ chicken taste like you're eating in Bangkok. If you like Thai food without the fusion, you'll enjoy this establishment. Delivery is fast & friendly.

This restaurant is located across the street from the Beverly Hills Residence Inn where we stayed for four nights. We arrived at 5 p.m. on a Sunday evening and were the only ones in the place. The food is very authentic and was well prepared....

We were looking for a Thai restaurant close by and tried this based on other reviews. Although walking in, there were only a few people...don't let it fool you. We saw at least 10 take out orders go out the door while we dined there....

You really get that authentic Thai restaurant type feel here, great atmosphere. Went here with my family (6) and order about 6 dishes "i normally eat alot" and happened to have quite a bit of left overs. Phad thai was pretty good, pat si u?...

This made fantastic Thai food. Those coming from Australia beware that the servings are big. Staff are friendly. Would eat here again.

Portions are huge. One entree can easily feed two people (four in the rest of the world). Phad Thai was ok, red curry was better, daughter liked fried rice, probably had MSG.

2 words: Duck Curry. AMAZING here and so was the steamed garlic sole with gravy. also had the spring rolls and the fried shrimp wonton (i could have eaten 20 of those!) good prices and the star is the food.
