Very high quality sushi in a casual setting hidden in the heart of the Grove. Great for lunch, takeout or a weeknight dinner. Affordable omakase options which come on a platter rather than individual pieces and a solid selection of maki/hand rolls and nigiri.

A Memorable Date Night at Midorie My wife and I recently enjoyed a date night at Midorie in Coconut Grove, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The attention we received as diners was truly outstanding—every detail was carefully considered, making us feel valued and well taken care of throughout the evening. One of the highlights of our night was the generosity of the chef, who went above and beyond to ensure that each dish was not only fresh and delicious but also thoughtfully curated. The menu offered a perfect blend of flavors and ingredients, clearly reflecting the chef's dedication to quality. A unique aspect of Midorie that we loved is the ability to bring your own wine or sake without any uncorking fee. This added a personal touch to our evening, allowing us to enjoy our favorite bottle. If you don’t have one on hand, Vinoteca Miami is just two minutes away, making it easy to pick up a great wine or sake before your meal. Overall, our experience at Midorie was unforgettable, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a special dining experience in Coconut Grove.

Fresh fish and good service. Our food came pretty quickly and we sat outside and enjoyed the weather. Parking can be tricky but we know it’s the grove so low expectations. I had the bowl with green tea noodles and liked it. My friend had the Midorie rolls and loved them. Their miso soup is good. Will definitely come back

Group of friends and I were in town for just the night and looking for a good sushi place. I saw a couple blog posts mention Midorie, and we were so glad we checked it out! I called ahead and while they don't take reservations, they were incredibly helpful and kind in helping us determine when to come to get a table. The outside seating is so cute and everyone was really kind! The food was incredible, our table got a lot to share and ended up ordering more because the Midorie maki roll and salmon were just that good. A hidden gem for sure, but the fresh fish is worth looking for it!

Food was excellent. Had the Midorie bowl, fish was the standout but the shiitake mushrooms and seaweed salad were great too. Everything was extremely fresh. The service was great, everyone was very laid back. I’m not sure why this place wasn’t as busy as everyone else around the area, but is it in a nice secluded space. They do not take reservations, walk-in only. Will come back if I visit Miami again!

Best sushi in the grove by far! Very high quality & some unique fish options not found in many other places around Miami. The bowls are the best value and the hand rolls are exceptional! Highly recommend the home made Yuzunaid!

Delicious Omakaze experience with a wide variety of sashimi and rolls. My fave was the shiitake rolls. And I was obsessed with the wasabi oil they gave us for the hand roll. The service was amazing and the itamaes the best, we even got to try a very fluffy matcha biscuit and the shaved ice with mint and lemony taste was amazing!

We had takeout. Great quality food for the price. The food was fresh and packed well. I was greeted with “konnichiwa” and smiling faces. The challenge for them is that they are tucked back in an alleyway that reduces their exposure to walking traffic. We will eat there again.

What an amazing place! The fish is a fresh as you get, flown straight from the Japanese fish markets. The quality is obvious from the start. The staff is incredibly warm and friendly. Whether you sit at the counter and watch your food being prepared, or sit outside on the patio, under cover, with the breeze blowing through, it is a wonderful experience. The menu is not just your standard Miami sushi fare, with heavy sauces and toppings dressing up rice encased rolls. This is pieces of fresh fish as sushi or sashimi, or in bowls with avocado, edamame, wakame over noodles, greens or rice. Amazing. This is authentic Japanese cuisine. And you will love it, like we do.

**Midorie Miami: A Hidden Gem for Omakase Dining** My recent visit to Midorie Miami left a lasting impression. The omakase selection was a definite standout, showcasing the chef's expertise in crafting an exceptional dining experience. Despite the absence of a liquor license, the nearby market offering sake proved to be a convenient solution. Midori's BYOB policy without a corkage fee allowed us to complement our meal with our preferred beverages, enhancing the overall dining experience. The absence of a liquor license didn't hinder the evening; rather, it opened an opportunity to personalize the meal. The restaurant's flexibility and the nearby market's sake availability made for a creative and adaptable dining setup. The emphasis on omakase, coupled with the BYOB policy, makes Midori Miami a hidden gem for those seeking quality Japanese cuisine and a customizable dining experience. The restaurant's commitment to accommodating patrons' preferences, despite certain limitations, speaks volumes about their dedication to customer satisfaction.

At Midorie, you're greeted with いらっしゃいませ!(irasshaimase!) on entry, which is a fun welcoming touch. A solid omakase experience that doesn't (entirely) break the bank like others in Miami. It's $100 per person for the 12 piece Nigiri omakase (and you also get one Maki roll = 6 pieces). The fish is fresh and delicious. Each piece had its own flavor profile. Unlike traditional omakase where you get one piece at a time, they disclosed that they're a bit more casual and presented them all at once. The plating was gorgeous, though! The atmosphere was very nice and minimalistic, with chef-side eating similar to what you'd get at typical restaurants in Japan (although it's hard to peer over it to see what the chefs are doing). There is also extra seating outside. It took a little while to get the food. Overall, I'd say it was well worth it!

My friend asked me to come with her here and I'm super happy she did! This is a cute hidden spot in the Grove from the same owners as Wabi Sabi. My friend opted for the omakase which was $100 and served all at once on a plate and I got the Midorie bowl which was really good and I found to be a good value! Really delicious fish and sushi! They do not take reservations and they are BYOB and don't charge you a corkage fee or anything.

Intimate, minimalistic & amazing at what they do. This is a hidden gem in the grove- but those who do go there know how fantastic it is! The menu is simple and sticks to what they do best- authentic traditional japanese sushi. The fish is high quality & fresh. The BYOB aspect is great in my opinion and they provide glasses/ice box if you do decide to bring your own wine. No corkage fee. Service is quick & extremely friendly. Such a special spot!

Very good and simple Japanese eatery in a quiet part of Coconut Grove. The food was very fresh and tasty. Portions were good given the prices. The Midorie Bowl was excellent, seaweed salad very good and the unagi sushi well executed. Service was attentive and friendly. Only issue was that two of us were served our bowls quickly while our friend had to wait a good ten minutes longer for his Maki. The staff explained its due to two different stations and apologized for the wait. Will definitely be back. Indoor seating is limited but they have a small outdoor dining section well shaded from the sun.

I believe is a well deserve three ( I consider myself a sushi expert) my friend brought me here because she saw this place on some influencer TikTok or something about new places, the price is $100 for 12 piece omakase nigiri, which is fine, in New York is popular that price, but the fish wasn’t fresh, my favorite are otoro and hamachi, which I didn’t really like it here, and also the rice was falling apart, the service took some time, you can’t order any alcoholic beverage you have to bring your own. The atmosphere is minimalistic, at peak hours the sushi bar gets busy and people can sit outside or in some chairs inside. They have a lot to improve. I think a well deserved three.
