My kids and I stopped in today for the first time in years and we will now be regulars! My daughter (12) is an avid reader who likes a very specific type of book and has basically maxed out what she can get at the chain stores in town and was becoming very frustrated. The ladies at midtown were knowledgeable, eager to help and extremely sweet. My daughter’s on cloud 9 with 6 books she’s dying to start and she can’t wait to go back. Thank you!!

Such a unique spot in Tallahassee with an overall robust selection of books to choose from. The upstairs study area/cafe is cozy and their coffee & pie is really well done

This was absolutely amazing. I stopped in to look around and was so glad I did. They had books, but other cool things too. The store had 2 floors (with books and such on both of them). There is some seating upstairs (along with an elevator for those who might need it) and the Piebrary which is a coffee shop that sells some pure to go along with it. The staff was super nice and I am planning on going back again.

The One Bookstore to rule all bookstores in Tallahassee! My favorite thing to do is grab a new book and go upstairs for a latte and a comfy sunlit chair to read. They hold book clubs on Sunday at 3 (there are four diff ones with four diff genres) and the pie is always delicious. I do wish they had more cushioned chairs though

Midtown Reader is an incredible treasure to have in Tallahassee. Sally Bradshaw works to bring top authors to Tallahassee as well as feature our many talented local authors. It is also the gest place to purchase Jeff VanderMeer books. He is so creative and thoughtful in inscribing them!

Wide selection of books. Helpful staff. If you want a book that is out of stock, it will take 5 days. Ended up getting a book by Michael Pollan

Amazing Book store with a great variety of books, on the second floor it has the best coffee/ pies / wine & Beer PIEbrary!! Highly highly recommend it!!

Cute shop! Loved the coffee bar. I wish the coffee were better. There are great local options in Tallahassee including Lucky Goat, Midtown Coffee Roasters, and Grassroots, all with much better coffees and you would be supporting local!

From the delightful Kidtown area and events for young readers to the wide variety of carefully curated books for adults and events that feature both visiting and local authors, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Upstairs, The Piebrary offers delicious sweet treats and beverages. Midtown Reader is a community gem.

This was just okay. I was from out of town and didn't really know the area well. Was looking for a casual coffee shop. This play screams college freshman. Perfect for them but not my style. Also not a lot of seating at all

The staff was super helpful and friendly! I enjoyed getting lost in their staff suggestions and delish snacks and coffee! My favorite spot in Tallahassee 📚

Fantabulous local bookstore. It's small and yet it is so thoughtfully stocked that I always find something that I didn't know I needed!! Great product selection and knowledgeable booksellers. Also their book events are amazing!

I love coming here because they allow dogs. They have events happening on their website and they have book clubs listed inside. The atmosphere is quiet and coffee is upstairs (also dog friendly). Parking: on the side of the building between them and waterworks. You can access it off thomasville road.

I love this place - I wish I could stay all day, curl up with a book that has been banned (yes, they have a lot of them or you can order them!) and the staff is incredible. Support local!!!

Awesome little book ship with coffee bar upstairs and restaurant downstairs. They had a nice collection of books and was great to look around at while waiting for a table.
