Great food, definitely our to go to when in the area!

Ordered just a 6” sub for pickup that was not to my liking. Called to let them know, talked to Mike and he had another one made and delivered to my house. Nice to see great customer service still exists!

Just delicious! Very good food!

Mike personally went above and beyond providing pizzas for my daughter’s birthday party. He went in early to get the order done in off hours, personally delivered it, and was so kind every step of the way. This is also our go to place for family pizza nights. Our favorite is the thin crust four cheese pizza. Everyone we introduce to this place raves about it. Delicious pizza, excellent service, and very fair prices.

Mike's pizza & Italian menu items are fantastic regardless of if you dine in, have delivery, or take out. Mike is the consulate host. He remembers most of his clientele by name and always strives to provide he best food and service to his customers.

Mike greeted us as soon as we walked in & came over to chat with our table. Our waitress was also very friendly. We got the cheesy bread with chicken and it was to die for. We also got a pepperoni Detroit pizza & it was one of the best that I’ve had. We will be back!

I pre ordered subs for my pickup and when I got there I waited for 25 minutes I ordered it at 4:00 to 4:30 for pickup at 7:30 disappointed that it was not ready for me.

First time trying Mike’s tonight. We really enjoyed our time there. Friendly staff and the chicken bacon ranch sub was delicious. Ooh also the cannoli dessert was great too. Even the other customers were friendly. Great experience all around.

Great little spot to stop in and eat! They offer dine in as well as pickup orders, and deliver. Food is always amazing and you won't be disappointed! Would highly recommend getting the cinnamon sticks for desert! Really good spot in Alto, and have been around a while!

Their website states they do dine in, carry out, and deliver. Nothing on delivery aera, miles, or time. Website also states, "Proudly Serve Alto, Alaska, Caledonia, Cascade and Ada." That is not true, i live in Caledonia, 1/2 mile from the village. They will not deliver. You do not serve all of Caledonia. Change your misleading website.

Ordered garlic toast and lasagna. Big mistake! They use hot dog buns for garlic bread and the pasta...forget about it! I'm still alive , yet turning in my grave on this hot mess. No thanks...won't be returning. My opinion...it sucks!

Best pizza in the area and great, friendly service. If you get lucky you might catch a glimpse of Mike himself, cooking up a pie.

Teresa, Amy and all the servers are the coolest, and Lucas makes THE BEST subs. DO NOT SLEEP on the chicken bacon ranch sub 😍

Having been to Mike's several times, I can say the service and food are top notch. It's a nice place to sit and eat as well. I highly recommend going there. The Philly cheese steak pizza is my go to.

Our new go-to pizza spot. The breadsticks are the best! My only complaints about the food is sometimes they do too much sauce and they don't put cheese/toppings far enough to the edge of the pizza. More attention to detail and consistency is needed. Prepare to wait a long time (45-90min) on night weekends for pick up orders.

Delicious food, decent price, and speedy cook/wait times. I highly recommend giving them a try. Every single time I have eaten here I have been highly satisfied.

Same pizza you get at a gas station. If you just want a quick average pizza, then it's OK. Skimpy average ingredients, especially lack of cheese.

Order took longer than one hour. By the time the food came out for pickup two tables were served and given food before the pickup was done. Asked about order and get told it got put in the oven way padt an hour. Order was late by 30 mins. We loved the pizza but hate when we get service like this. Its very disappointing when this happens.

You can tell that Mike's uses real quality ingredients, fresh tasty bread, fresh veggies & cares about the preparation of their food with every bite. I ordered 3 submarine sandwiches to try tonight (chicken bacon ranch, Italian, and ham & cheese) and all 3 were totally delicious & perfectly prepared. Staff are also very friendly & attentive, and the dine-in atmosphere is cozy & inviting. Excellent local gem! Thank you!

Me and my boyfriend stopped in for a Detroit style deep dish and a drink the ingredients were very fresh from the toppings to the crust the crust was buttery and crunchy but not too crunchy and the owner came up and talked to us and he was very friendly and genuine it was nice to see the owner actually talking with guests

We got here from before and great service. We ordered again and was told to pick up 45 minutes, and it wasn’t even done for another 25 minutes. No apologies or anything. Just would have been nice to be notified so we didn’t have to wait with 4 kids

Terrific cost to value ratio. Quality ingredients mean the food is a step above traditional fare, and the services is commendable. The owner is genuine and sincere; Mike will come out periodically to check on your meal, offer refills, and sincerely thanks you for stopping by. If you have a chance to dine in, the cozy atmosphere is perfect for families and couples nights out. There are booths, and a small "bar" area to watch TV. I recently discovered my new personal favorite - the lasagna dinner. The owner personally hand makes the pasta and sauce, which is apparent on the first bite. (The garlic bread is also a nice complement)

Just about everyone in the area knows Mike in some capacity. He's a really friendly guy who is passionate about making good pizza and hiring young staff members so they can get some money and help pay for college or pursue their aspirations. My brother worked for him in High School and said it was a good experience. The food is fantastic, every time I visit my parents just down the street we pick something up from Mike's or from the incredible meat market next door. It really is a fantastic location and it has really grown over the years. I personally order their ham and cheese sub with lettuce tomato and mayo. They usually don't put a lot of ham on the sandwiches but they do give a generous amount of toppings and mozzarella and they use really good quality mozzarella. I also like grabbing a medium three topping pizza every now and then. I personally love their crust but it depends on your taste. The crust is light and fluffy and pliable. It's not hard and crunchy as some may like. If you want the crust to have a little more bite you can always ask them to leave it in the oven for a little longer, but your toppings will also get crispier too, just a heads up.

Out of town and visiting family. Pizza was very good but pricey. Got two pizzas and cheesy bread sticks and our bill was $43.

I live out of town and am staying in Alto and decided I wanted pizza for dinner. I found Mike’s online, called and placed and order for pick-up and Mike was the one who answered. He said he wanted to make sure he spelled my name right and asked me to spell it, asked me how I heard about his business and told me where he was located. That, to me, shows that he really cares about his business and patrons. I picked up the pizza and it was SO good! I ordered a supreme and am very impressed. One of the best pizzas I’ve had. Not sure if it’s the sauce, the cheese or something else but it has an amazing flavor.

Had a wonderful meal with my wife. She enjoyed her spaghetti, and I devoured my lasagna. Thanks, Mike.

Mike’s Pizza is a definite go to for our family. We have never had anything that was less than excellent! We really enjoy the staff and of course Mike. Prices are great too!

The Pizzeria is fantastic, we eat here at least once every 2 weeks or more. Pies are awesome, price is great. Honestly sometimes this place gets super busy with orders, errors happen and they do not hesitate to help and fix it. Love this place! Ill add photos soon.

I am home eating the pizza I just bought from Mike's. My son got a meatball sub. Both, for a lack of a better word, is somewhat dry. The sub could have had more sauce to it and the pizza, while not really bad, is not as good to me personally as people said it would be. I have had better around GR. If I am out that way again and wanting a pizza, i would go back. The service was top notch. very friendly and great atmosphere.

Was wanting a sub before I head back to Florida.... My daughter and I discussed all the franchise ones around, then I remembered to look at Mike's, to see if they were open for lunch - Hit the jackpot!! They were open and the subs we had, BLT for me and chicken bacon ranch for my daughter, were delicious! When I'm in Michigan at my daughter's, this is now my "go to" place! If you haven't tried this place, you don't know what you're missing. The owner Mike, is very personable and is the cook too.

Food is cooked to perfection! Staff is friendly and fast! Owner even comes out to the dining room to talk to each table. We will be back often!!!

This was a surprise, took a chance driving by and was one of the best pizzerias ever! Fantastic food and the people were amazing. The waitress was fun and talented, the cook came out with my stromboli himself with a smile, and even a fellow guest stood up and helped my 98 year old grandmother to the door and held it open for all 3 of us old ladies. What a wonderful surprise, an oasis in food and people. Excellent all around!

Don't order there special, been buying from them for years decided to try their 3 pc special! Ordered ham,bacon mushrooms, 3rd pc we found 1 pc of ham on a 14" pizza! Don't order the special, we figured out that's why it's special nothing on it!

I stopped in today for the first time and ordered an Italian sub. It was delicious! Staff was awesome and very helpful. Good food, good people. I will definitely be back to try other options on the menu.

Mike is great and the Gluten Free Pizza/Cheesy bread is my favorite thing ever. Seriously a guilty pleasure. Better than every other GF pizza I’ve tried. Order ahead of time to avoid waits because it’s popular for a reason!

The pizza and service was amazing!

Mike's is AMAZING! The restaurant is very clean and welcoming. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Mike came by our table to welcome us, and again to ask us about the food. The breadsticks are amazing, pizza was HOT and Wonderful. YOU HAVE to get the Cinnamon Sticks, they are the best I have ever had. Cannolis were amazing too. Try it, you will not be disappointed.

Mikes Pizzeria & Tavern is one of the best places to get a VARIETY of food. One of my personal favorites is the Detroit deep dish pizza! It is unmatched! Not to mention they have the best customer service and Mike himself is there alot of the time and he is the friendliest and most accommodating person you would every meet. I personally HIGHLY recommend this place!

Food was very good but the service was special…. We were camping at a local campground and after playing on the water all day we wanted simple for dinner. Pizza and breadsticks fit the bill. We ordered and I went to pick it up and when we got back to our camp site 15 min later discovered there was a mistake. 1 of the two pizzas was wrong…. A phone call to let them know (cause someone else is now missing their order also), and they were SUPER friendly and apologetic. They offered to remake our pizza so it was fresh and deliver it immediately to us…. (And it wasn’t the typical delivery driver bringing it)…. The manager/owner came in his personal vehicle immediately delivering our order to us very apologetically. Mistakes happen but in todays day and age taking immediate action and correcting it is a very welcome thing. Very highly recommend Mikes!

Just stopped in for a slice of pizza, ordered a small 8" deep dish supreme. It was one of the BEST pizzas ever. Just the right amount of sauce, cheese, crust was soft inside and crispy outside. Outstanding!!!

Decent pizza. Well equipped staff. I would say prices are a little high but in the current economy at time of posting gas is over $4 a gallon so take it how you will. Overall a decent experience

Very good take out pizza. They also deliver or you can eat inside. Generous toppings, good sauce, good crust. $22.00 for a huge all meat pizza. So good on a cold winters day.

I can’t express how amazing Mikes is. I eat there often, but currently I am quite sick so I ordered food with contactless delivery. They were all so kind especially the delivery driver who wished I got better soon as he left the food on the porch. It warmed my heart! Thank you again for being a family focused business.

One of the best gluten free crusts around. Sausage is out of this world tasty. It is evident the ingredients were given a lot of care and consideration. Will return!
