It was a very high-quality food as well as the service. It will certainly be on my must go to list restaurants anytime I'm in Daytona.

The place is nothing to look at, but the food and service were amazing! The entire staff anticipated our needs before we even said anything. Food was great especially the steak and mushroom soup!!

My family and I visited the Daytona Beach location. This hidden gem is awesome!! Great farm to table menu. We had Charlie as our server and he was fantastic. We asked him what he recommended and he didn’t steer us wrong. The alligator ribs were outstanding as were the grilled shrimp tacos and the fish daily special. The bread pudding for dessert rounded out our experience nicely. Will definitely stop by again!

The food was great! Came out super hot (how I like it). Service was awesome. Prices were high for what it was, although it was lunch. I would definitely go back for dinner.

My husband and I just left Millie’s and everything about the restaurant was excellent. The atmosphere is laid back, the service was outstanding and oh lord the food… so delicious.

First time here but won’t be our last. Chicken parmigiana and grouper with capers and white wine sauce. Both were amazing!! Wonderful service too.

Saw this place on TV. The sign outside celebrates the fact that they were featured on the very show I saw. Also featured on that episode was the fact that gator ribs are a popular menu item. As someone who has had gator prepared a number of different ways, I was excited to try the ribs. As someone who visits this area with some frequency, I was glad to see just how close this spot is to my Dad's house. Unfortunately, the experience was not a positive one. Firstly, they were out of gator, which blows my mind in a state overrun with said. As disappointing as that was, my father was very happy to find the vegan offerings on the menu. My sons ordered chicken fingers and fries of which the portions were as meager as I've ever seen (2 chicken fingers and a handful of fries). All of that, aside, the experience would have been fine if we weren't made to feel like tourists. I've worked the restaurant industry both front and back of the house. I've dined in fine dining restaurants and dive bars. I've been a regular and a tourist. All that said, I've never felt more unwelcome in my life. I truly wanted to like this place and figured I'd try again in two months when I return. Sadly, this experience was so off-putting that I just can't bring myself to return.

The only place anywhere around Daytona that knows how to cook fish. Always perfect! Love this place.

Really like this place! The food was fresh, cooked well, and delicious. We had the special, fried grouper, and they nailed it. The owner took out dessert order, and she was charming. I really liked the private feel of how the space is arranged. Took one star off for service just because the host gave us disinterested/irritated vibes, but the overall experience would have me back again!

Not sure if it still qualifies as a "hidden gem" because it seems like the secret is absolutely out that Millie's is one of the top restaurants in Volusia County! Consistently excellent every time!

Do not judge this book by its cover. The inside is stunning! Cozy atmosphere with wonderful service. The food was top-notch. Farm to table fresh. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and the service provided by the entire staff was amazing.

We enjoy local restaurants when we travel. We were referred by a local person to try Millie's. Really good pick! The food was amazing and fresh. The smoked fish dip was so good. Sonia, our waitress, made sure we had a great time!! We ate on the patio since the weather was nice. We'll be back since we need to try other items on their menu. Thank you Millie's!

Booths all ripped up, faint smell of bait shop when walking in, menu ripped all on the sides. Chimichurri looked oily and brown. Burger was good and the service was decent.

I really enjoyed my dinner here. Sat at the bar and had fresh fish dip appetizer and the fresh grouper for dinner. They even cook the fingerling potatoes in duck fat. So delicious!

They have one of the best burgers I've ever had. The mix of chuck, rib meat, and brisket was so different and so delicious 😋. The fries were just as delicious. The service was spot on. Our waiter went above and beyond for us and never let us go without. Highly recommend this eating establishment to anyone who lives in the Daytona Beach area that hasn't tried it yet or anyone traveling there for vacation. We just happened to be looking up restaurants near our resort, and it was within an 8 min walk to Millies, so we decided to walk there. We had no idea it was tucked away behind a souvenir shop. It was a cute little restaurant. I will say the only negative I have to say is the air conditioner wasn't working properly and it was a little warm in there but they did sit us in front of a fan, so that wasn't so bad. It was tolerable.

We met friends for dinner, it was my second time. Us girls had a couple glasses of wine and the guys a couple beers. We split the pork nachos which were delicious but all of our meals were under whelming. The angel hair pasta with shrimp was bland with very little sauce and the prime rib was tough. In addition to the food being below average and the bull with a tip $350, the seats were ripped and it was uncomfortable to sit with shorts. We will not be back and we all are locals.

We had a delicious dinner at Millie's while visiting Ponce Inlet this week. The Mexican Street Corn as a starter was delicious - we were told it was a seasonal item and we loved it. My husband and daughter tried the alligator ribs and really enjoyed them. Everyone loved their main courses - seafood pastas - especially the scallops! The service was great -- wait staff answered all of our questions, including concerns about food allergies. Would definitely return here for another meal!

We had over 42 million views this year so far and we thank you for that. We don't get paid, we just love to eat It does not look like much, but this is one of the best places to eat in the county. We try to go a few times a month because everything on the menu is awesome. The alligator ribs are awesome. Small ribs in one of the best sauces I have ever had. The Francaise fish is the best. I eat Keto so they gladly take out the pasta and sub in fresh spinach. When picking fish I have found it all good but especially the flounder, pompano and the trigger fish. The wife loves the farm chicken dish. Full of flavor and very moist. Be sure to try the steak and mushroom soup, it is divine. All the desserts are great especially the worms in dirt (think of it as chocolate mousse over oreo crumbs), but I love the pineapple cake or if you are lucky they have a special macadamia and passion fruit cake once a month. Be sure and ask for it so we pressure them to add it to the full time menu. Brunch is awesome. The banana french toast is a sin it is sooooo good. We cannot say enough good things about this place. "Looks are deceiving" is the mantra. The service folks are great. One down side is that it is always busy at night. Reservations in advance are a must. We ate at the bar on a Friday and Saturday a few times and they turned down over 20 tables every night while we were there. Check out all of our reviews. One of the best Best Grouper sandwiches ever

Amazing food and service just outstanding!

Great grouper on pasta... Gator ribs were just kinda ok but not Millie's fault... Fun with Sonia our waitress... AC was broke on a hot night so 3 star atmosphere as a kinda joke...

What an incredible place, the vibe when you walk in is relaxed and laid back. The service was outstanding, going over all the specials when taking our drink order. Had to check out the gator ribs and it was off the hook, very lean with great mouth feel, the sauce added the perfect flavor to make this great starter. The wife and I split the special fish sandwich, paprika dusted, panko crusted black grouper with pickled red onions and thousand island dressing. It came out cut on two plates with chips, that’s service done right. The perfect crunch on a Florida fresh fish with excellent flavor. The acid from the veggies and the tangy from the dressing bring it all together. Then the icing on the cake dessert, tropical bread pudding, ya it’s a thing and another reason we will be back. Butter cake, pineapple, coconut, macadamia nut, white chocolate, and a guava glaze. Not sure who came up with this dish, I would like to thank them. I’m not a sweets person but this was the perfect combination, the texture and balance of flavor was next level. If you’re in Daytona and need a great place to get real deal eats this is the place. ✌️😎

Absolutely delicious. We went once for the alligator ribs (a must) and returned to try the fish sandwich. Both were absolutely bangin!! Highly recommended. If you're in daytona beach, youre going to want to go a few times. No words can describe how delicious their food is! Extremely satisfied.

SO SO GOOD! If I could eat here every day I would. The food was delicious, we got the pork nachos to share and it was amazing! I’m definitely going back to try their seafood as I’m sure it’s amazing as well! Everyone working was so nice and you can tell they all take a lot of pride in their restaurant and food. The restaurant itself was beautifully decorated and the effort and hard work put into it really shows! Outstanding, 10/10 would come again.

Place Is a dive... seats are atrocious ... no variety of beverages alcoholic or otherwise...so small... walked out after 5 mins.

Byof, place was recommended by locals. They cook your catch, fantastic food. Service was great , very accommodating. Only thing is booth seating is cracked , cuts into your skin. Sat on a napkin which helped. Highly recommend food was amazing, owner, and staff very pleasant

This place was awesome! Great food, great atmosphere, and great customer service. When we arrived at 730pm, we had an 8pm reservation. The chef came to us and asked if we would like to be seated early and got us a table. They were busy at the time. But all the employees were amazing. I had the BBQ burger and fries, and my father had chicken picatta. Great food and highly recommend.

Ok, what a night. Started with a couple of salads and a steak and mushroom soup, not what I expected but good. We followed up with a Shrimp Franny, TriTail Franny and a Fish dinner all very good but both Frannys real stood out, especially the Shrimp Franny. I’d like to go back just to have that dish again. Thank You Millie’s for make the drive over worth it. The service was very good and when we asked about an espresso our waiter honestly told us they didn’t have any but next had a very good one…and it was. The waiter also recommended a good wine, thank you. For desert we had the Tropical Bread pudding and the Berry Bourbon Cobbler, worth ordering as well. With so many options in the area this is one of the ones that needs to be remembered.

Great place. Had the Alligator ribs, a must have!! Great bbq burger with caramelized onions that rival any NYC place. I do t know why they do t have French onion soup on the menu. Po boy was very good also. Honestly, no complaints and only compliments. Go here!!

Everyone’s food was great, but the fish tacos and the chips were exceptional. Our waitress was very nice and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. I read some of the 1 star reviews and I couldn’t imagine giving this place less than 4 stars. We sat outside and was very comfortable.

Absolutely loved our experience here. My wife and I enjoyed everything from the housemade dressings (ranch/caesar) to the tropical bread pudding. The special was blackened grouper over cheese grits. Blackened to perfection and the grits were hard to beat. I have chef experience with Current Catering SAV and others, I would like to think my palate is sensitive and refined and Millies hit all sensations we could have asked for. Best place in Daytona so far.

If you are ever looking for a great place to eat this is it. Believe me the food is amazing!! The servers are friendly and very interacting with their patrons. Don't pass this one up . Must try the "Bread Pudding"" It's so good you will want to smack your mama 😅

Incredible service! I was in a large group and the man serving me was extremely kind. My food ended up being a little late because of just how large the group was and he made it feel like no time at all. The food was also absolutely amazing! I would’ve easily waited ten times as long for food that good!! The atmosphere was also amazing! The table I was at had an amazing view of the beach and horizon, the ac felt great, it was shaded so nobody got burned. The music was fun to listen to but not too fun that you couldn’t hold a conversation.

We walked in without a reservation. Amy sat us within a couple of minutes due to cancellation. She frequently checked in on us. She was very friendly and even chatted with us. Our waiter was nice and I really liked how all the servers helped each other cover tables such as refill drinks, clear dishes and offer dessert. The food was amazing and the local fish was fresh. Millie's is a must try and definitely worth the wait.

Three stars because the staff is amazing. Other than that, we were not impressed. The food was OK. The portions were small; our daughter's burger was on a full size bun with a thin little patty hiding in the middle. Most food is "market price" so you have no idea how much the food costs. Grilled was actually broiled. The atmosphere was...odd. It's small and the bench seat along the wall is so torn our daughter had to sit on a napkin to keep from scratching up her legs. The bathroom is dark. We had to turn on the cell phone flashlight to see inside the stall. And there is very little parking. It was a unique experience but not one we'd repeat. Maybe Millie's is better at catering?

My mother and I came here as it was recommended to us by a local. And Millie's didn't disappoint. Rob was an excellent server. He kindly guided us to our lunch choice of grouper tacos. What a flavor profile!

During my short vacation, I dropped by this restaurant. It became my favorite restaurant - no matter what I tried each time, I enjoyed it to the fullest. But the best dish I had was filet and shrimp fondue: both meat and shrimp was delicious, the sauce was ideal. The service deserves a special praise: you feel like a friend at a family's dinner, not an ordinary visitor. Very warm atmosphere. Alexis, you are a gem here!

This was our first Guy Fieri restaurant! Thanks, Guy, for a great recommendation! I figure anywhere he goes has to be great, and it did not disappoint! It is small and eclectic, and all the staff and the owner were just amazing! We had the smoked fish dip, Ceasar salad with homemade dressing with real anchovies (extra anchovies), BBQ mixed burger cooked to perfection, fish of the day sandwich, and topped with bread pudding. All amazing! Oh, mustn't forget the potatoes roasted with duck fat! Again, awesome! Thanks to all for your creatively amazing food and service!

The fresh fish tacos were beyond expectations. You can tell that everything was made fresh, in house. Great flavors. So glad we stumbled into this place by chance.

My family and I had a great meal at Millie’s last night. Fish dip, Triple Tail Tacos, and steak with shrimp were all so fresh and delicious and perfectly seasoned /salted. And what was that amazing sauce with the steak?! 😋 Being in food service industry, we understand how much effort it takes to make house-made dressings, sauces, and use high quality ingredients. Our server Grace was so attentive and knowledgeable. Anyone who complains of pricing of Millie’s have no awareness of what food and labor costs are for a fine dining restaurant. Keep up the great work Millie’s team; wishing you continued success and growth! We will definitely dine again when we return to Daytona. ❤️🙌🏼

Ordered food to go so didn’t really have the full restaurant experience but we ate it immediately and we got really bad food poisoning and will never go there again.

The fried fish, grits and brussel sprouts were delicious. The Rodeo burger special was excellent also.

Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. I ordered fried shri.p tacos, but meant to order grilled, so while it was good, it was not as good as the grilled shrimp tacos the 3 people with me had. As an appetizer, we ordered fish dip and it was delicious! Millie's is a small restaurant with booths and a few tables. They keep local photos on the walls which was a nice touch. I would suggest making a reservation.

We were told by neighbors to go locate this hidden gem. We were shocked by the prices for such a very small place. The serving size of my Husband's fish was quite minute, especially considering the cost. Mine was ok but just ok and the cheese fruits left a lot to be desired. Catfish Annie's needs to give a lesson to this establishment on how to prepare cheese grits. Won't visit again, sorry. Btw, for those with allergies, they do cross contaminate!!!!

Scrolling through google for good restaurants in Daytona, and came across Millie’s. As the reviews state, it was a great choice to stop for a late lunch. The staff was incredibly friendly and small restaurant was nicely decorated and very clean, with a patio out front. My wife ordered the triple tail franchise that was off the chain good. I ordered the wedge salad (homemade blue cheese dressing amazing) and pressed Cuban. Then topped it off with the Tropical bread pudding. Everything we ate was fresh and delicious and the portions were quite large. This was such a great meal and we will definitely be back.

Amazing yet unassuming location in a strip mall but don't let that deter you from the quality of service or food. Owner, hosts, and bartender were top notch and were very present and engaged in welcoming me to their establishment Asked if it was my first time there then Sophia explained their farm/sea to table local ingredients. I decided to go with catch of the day which was triple tail, I've never had it or heard of it Sophia described the type and flavor of fish perfectly (meaty similar to grouper and red snapper) I went with her suggestion of blackened with sides of mashed red potatoes and fresh vegetables (green beans). Best mashed potatoes I've ever had. Spot on description of fish! The owner of the restaurant came by towards the end of my meal to ask how everything was. This told me all I need to know, local ingredients an owner that truly cares about the quality of food and service to his guests, fantastic staff. The definition and standard of buy and support local. Thank you so much for an amazing experience .

We stopped in to this hole in the wall restaurant because it is close to the house and was pleasantly surprised. Good variety and very good quality and presentation.

I ordered a bowl of soup to go. It was this tiny amount in a very small container and it cost me $14.00 shame shame shame what a rip off

Finally got to Millie's and it did not disappoint. The inside looks so nice but we sat outside because they were packed. I will definately call ahead next time. The fish collars were out of this world. Well worth the time they take to cook. The 4 of us enjoyed our entrees very much. The sides were incredible too!

Fresh farm to table food that is excellent. Everything was hand made. I found the prices to be just a little high but the quality makes up for it. It’s a small thing, but they use paper straws and a sturdy paper box for taking leftovers away instead of styrofoam so score for being environmentally conscious too!

We ate at Millie’s three years ago and it was so good that when we were back in the area, we had to go again. We were not disappointed. We both had the blackened black grouper. I love that golden beets were an option as a side. Everything here is so fresh. I highly recommend it!

Our server was awesome. Food was fresh and tasty. Try the gator ribs app. Highly recommend. We had the fish of the day, golden tile, both fried and grilled. So good. The sweet potato puree and roasted beets were also really tasty. Would definitely come back!

I would give 4.5 if I could; don't give 5 star reviews often but that shouldn't be taken as a negative. My wife and I shared the fish collars (tilefish was the fish of the day), she had the Fish Dinner (includes 2 sides) and I had the Local Fish Francaise. All our food was very good and the portions were generous. She had one beer and I only had club soda so my only observation is that $150 (including tip) is a fair bit more than we'd usually pay for dinner.

Absolute BEST Grouper - brought in Fresh everyday from a local fisherman - not frozen like everywhere else, Best vegetarian dish Quinona dish and on and on!! Can't beat the quality of food here. Every time we go, it's the best, and right now, I LOVE sitting outside on their Cabana, you can see the ocean waves... 💙 Best atmosphere anywhere!! Also can't say enough about the staff. Charlie waited on us last time. We LOVE Charlie!!! Amy (owner) was the sweetest, can't say enough, you'd really miss out if you miss this place!!

Service was great, food not as much. Ordered steak mid well to well. Probably came out mid rare. Burger was good. And pork nachos were not bad. Wanted to like it after all the reviews. I’m sure it’s great. Can’t bat .1000. Giving 4 stars as I don’t want to water down what they have, but really to me the food was like 3.5.

One of our go to favorite places! Bummed they closed Ormond, but we will make the trip for their awesome food anytime! I do wish they would maybe add some mocktails or a lil variety for those that don’t drink beer/wine. But regardless they allllways have the best cooked fish and most delicious pasta.

For the price of the food you would not have expected blue repair tape on every cushion at every table and the grouper poy boy I thought I would have expected a bit more then what I paid for it.

First time for dinner in Daytona Beach and I'm so glad I picked this gem. I had no idea they had been on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives but I can see why. I had the Scallop Pasta and it was incredible. Large scallops that practically melted in my mouth. Service was fantastic. I sat at the small bar since I was just a party of 1. I highly recommend Millie's and can't wait to return.

If you're staying in Daytona Beach, you gotta come here for a meal. Great wine and great food. The pork chop was so succulent. The patio is perfectly sheltered. I only regret not finding this place sooner.

Good food, if a bit expensive. $ 70 for two, with one beer. That is with tip. Shrimp and grits were the best.

Make sure to get reservations otherwise you'll be sitting outside. Overall great experience I just wish I would have known about the reservation part.

Our Brussels sports did not have the ends cut off ir the outer leaves taken off. They were full of oil. Not edible. The gator ribs were ok. The fig and goat cheese was ok, but very little cheese. Our Server Kai was very good. He was very attentive. We did not complain because we will not be coming back Sorry.

I enjoyed Millie's for a few years now and had originally rated it 5 stars, which I kept at because their food is always fabulous and fantastically prepare despite the arrogance of a few wait staff. Today I am knocking off stars as one waiter who is always a bit full of himself in mho, ruined our dining experience. Chris, the manager, sat us and was accommodating as to where we were seated. I have chronic pain and needed a bench seat so I can lean off my back and on to my side. About a half hour - 45 minutes after ordering our food I asked our now waitress if she would bring out our food as it was ready rather than waiting for all 3 of our party's meals to be done. Two in my party were already hungry before we got there and the wait time was longer than normal even though it was not crowded. I ordered the fresh catch of the day and knew it did not take that long to cook, unless they were still trying to catch it? The other two in my party order beef, well and medium well so the wait time could be justified. She said they should all be out soon and I reiterated to bring out as ready so we could share (and at this point blood sugar dropping and feeling famished). She said again that they should all be out in a few minutes... Fast-forward, minutes later my Mother's burger came out, which was great because she was the most hungry. Another few minutes and my girlfriend's meal came out and still no Flounder! 5 minutes later my catch of the day came out, BURNT! (See photos). After inspecting and seeing it was more like fish jerky than blackened, I picked at the center and peeled off the outer charcoal to eat as I was beyond ready to eat (over an hour after ordering). It's unfortunate that I will no longer be recommending Millie's, I had raved about having such a great restaurant so close to me. No more. Hopefully they will raise their standards.
