It's a lovely place and would highly recommend this place to anyone living nearby or coming through the area! Only problem I have is the menu, their odd one was much better and was especially easier to see from a car. I really wish there was a menu on the railing with all the flavors to make it easier if you use the drive thru especially since there is always so many people blocking thr menu and there is always such a line in the drive thru it would be nice to see a menu minutes ahead of time before getting up to the drive thru ordering area! Other than that lovely place!

Moo Thru was delicious! The most creamy ice cream & best flavors! We cannot stop often as we do not live near, but we try when we visit our son & his family. Better than we have ever had! UPDATE: We stopped again on our way home from a vacation. It was crowded, but usually is. They moved along and it is definitely worth what time you spend. Best ice cream ever!!

Great drive through ice cream place! So many options to choose from, great for a quick treat on a hot day. Be warned the waffle cones are huge!

I pass through early in the morning on the way to work. There aren't many options to stop for coffee in the area, so Moobrew being right off 29 makes it so tempting to always get coffee. Moobrew coffee is strong, flavorful and delicious. Right now for summer they're open from 630am to 2pm. I hope they keep it up in the fall!

Great ice cream, but it will be a loooong wait

Moo Thru has the yummiest homemade hard ice cream. We will divert our route to hit it. They are very generous with portions and discounts. My favorite flavor is Holstein in a waffle cone. Be sure to try it! Parking is available, and outdoor seating under a shaded roof can be found to one side.

Our fave little food truck and stand. Friendly, knowledgeable + happy staff ( happy cows too) Farm fresh + local, can't beat it! PS : Their whip cream definitely belongs in every supermarket and restaurant :) 📸

Ice cream was delicious (the chocolate soft serve was great) but a bit on the expensive side.

I would strongly encourage you to try their moo brew as well as their ice cream. The iced Blueberry crisp is the best!! The ladies in the morning are super sweet and friendly! The cookies and cream and mint chocolate chip ice cream are my favorites!

Ice cream is good but over priced. Their flavors are boring and they charge an extra $1.50 per scoop for the specialty flavors. It’s always a big surprise when we request tops on our take-out items when using the drive through-go figure. They used to be my favorite, but now it is my last resort.

For once in my 48 years of eating ice cream. I got a real true scoops of ice cream!! Orange flavor and Key Lime pie with crust bits throughout and butter pecan !! Delicious 😋

Ordered a dark chocolate ice cream, which has an extra $1.50. However, I'd not recommend it. It tasted awful. 😖.

Go to Ice cream spot in Faquier county. Friendly staff and awesome ice cream. Edit: I’ve been going here for about 7 years the last 2 years the quality has gone downhill. They are always out of something and instead of just marking it off their menu you have to keep picking until you find smelting they aren’t. Every time the last 6 or 7 visits they are out of chili, the last visit I asked for 2 hot dogs mustard and ketchup. I got one hot dog and it was smothered in mayonnaise and absurd amount. My kids ice cream had the wrong toppings the last few visits.

Not the stellar experience it once was. Maybe the summer help needs a bit more education / training. Got a milkshake that tasted like cold sugar and milk.

Delicious ice cream with prompt service! We ordered cookies and cream, cake batter, coffee, and cookie dough flavors. Definitely high quality! The pavilion with fans and twinkle lights were was also nice. We stop here every year on the way home from picking my daughter up from summer camp.

the ice cream is made from the cows in the next door pasture; its creamy, dense and intensey flavored. my favorite is dark chocolate or hot fudge with cinnamon ice cream! prepare for long lines, people come from all over to Moo-Thru

Icecream is good, a little pricey. The parking lot and drive through are DANGEROUS!!! They have the sitting area where people buying icecream have to cross in front of traffic to get there. Kids run from the stand to the seating area and lines form out into the drive through as well. Honestly surprised someone has not gotten hit yet😕

Like the tase of coffee smoothie, but they don’t serve ice cream before 11 am. That’s a bummer

Great leader in the community. All the way home grown 🔥🔥🔥 Ice Cream. All made homemade within house for generations. Fauquier County!! Stop asking this man for his secret sauce. Leave that man be, so he may service the community in extended ways. Like enjoying fresh Hott !! Coffee!! On your long commute to work during the week and or weekend. Or if you need a cup early Saturday and Sunday morning to get going early in the A.M. Refreshing way to start the day. Milkshakes and Ice Cream are my favorite. But I do love me some coffee early in the morning. I salute men and leaders in the community.

Great ice cream but disastrous drive thru line, especially if you get an incorrect order like we have previously. If you stop use the pickup window to order.

This review is strictly speaking on the coffee- I of course recognize moo thru is known for ice cream but after passing their “coffee” signs for so long, we decided to try it. Unfortunately, I think moo thru should stick to the ice cream! They do not have decaf coffee at all, and their coffee is super super sweet.

Must visit for those that like good whole milk ice cream.

Best ice cream I have ever had. High quality! Drive through allows for distancing and staff is very courteous and smiling. I will be coming back! Also the small scoop is huge like an average handful so it's definitely plenty value. They have good grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch. Try the cotton candy with rainbow sprinkles.

We saw this place while on our way to Culpeper. There was a huge line on the road, so we figured it must be a good spot to taste some real ice cream. We made a U-turn and went in with high expectations. We ordered five different flavors of ice cream and a milkshake. After taking the first few bites, our party was very disappointed. For some reason, we all thought everything was too sweet and sugary. Later, I saw that another lady mentioned the same thing in her review. We even bought a milk jar from them, and I noticed that it's the same jar you can get at Mom's Organic Market. I will try to give an update after trying the milk. The shed you see in this photo is where we sat. It smelled bad over there, likely either because of the restrooms or a sewer line behind the shed. Finally, I don't think the taste justifies the huge wait line. It must be that other people like extra sweet ice creams, and it's just us who did not.

There's almost always a line, but it's worth the wait. Get a couple of apple cider donuts when they're available, they're awesome!

Yummiest ice cream!!! Ofcrse needs to wait in queue.. but the wait was worth it. We loved the butter pecan and cookie dough flavor… while my son enjoyed the orange and cotton candy. Lot of outside space to sit and enjoy ice cream!!!

Ahh so good! We tried the dark chocolate and mint chocolate chip. Large portions/scoops (imo as I got a "small waffle cone", which was just a normal sized waffle cone with one scoop- but it was definitely plently). We went through the drive-thru on a busy Saturday afternoon and they were pretty quick and efficient. They have enough parking and tables under a covered patio. Definitely some of the better ice cream we've had- you can taste the difference. I'll definitely make it a point to come back for the dark chocolate 🍫

The Key Lime Pie, oh my. Cake Batter is the family favorite. Didn't go for years due to the service but they changed it around. Very friendly. Great Service, great treats. Bring a friend for conversation while standing in line.

Cake batter was the best flavor! My children got a cotton candy milkshake and butter pecan in a cone, my husband enjoyed his strawberry ice cream. I had cake batter and cookie dough. By far, the cake batter was the best!

Awful experience. Stood in line waiting for 10 minutes and no one came to the window to get our order. Then tried the drive through window and the same happened there. Ice cream may be good which I wouldn’t know as I didn’t get any, but service is sub par.

The ice cream here is above average, thanks to the fresh milk from their happy cows on the farm in Remington, VA. However, the experience is spoiled by poorly managed lines and slow service. The drive thru line moves three times faster than the walk in line, which is unacceptable. The walk in line needs more staff. I expected a wait, but a half hour to get only partway through the line is too long, and I still wasn't at the order window. Ice cream is good but I do not recommend this place due to the long wait times, and it isn't even summer yet.

Rude staff. They barely listen to your order. Every time they either get the order wrong or we have to repeat order a couple of times. It usually takes more than 45 min to get a cone and it is totally ridiculous for ice cream. I'm sorry it is not worth my time.

Busiest day of the week tends to be Sundays. But it's worth the wait if the line is long. Both walk up and drive thru ordering options are available. If you are an ice cream afficianado , it's worth it to go out of your way for Moo Thru. Blackberry ice cream and dark chocolate ice cream are "one of a kinds" that far outperform others in their class. Traditional and build your own Sundaes and banana splits available.

I've been here quite a few times since they opened. I have yet to have a negative experience. I do quite a bit of baking, and appreciate using fresh milk in my recipes...and Moo Thru has it covered.

Drive past every other month and stop by when the line is small. Amazing ice-cream that makes the whole family super happy!

Good ice cream for young people 😇 A bit sweet for me, mate be added sugar. A bit un safe coming in from rural 29. People are not paying attention to road directions and will drive in the wrong direction. Please be careful.

We love getting ice cream at Moo Thru! It’s delicious! I tried an iced coffee yesterday morning for the first time and it tasted amazing! Staff members have always been friendly too!

Great ice cream stop right off the highway. There's most always a line here, but the wait is worth it. All dairy comes from local dairy farms, so you know you are getting good local products. You can even get milk in glass bottles or ice cream pints or quarts to go.

Really good ice cream, their dark chocolate is very think and delicious! Also love their cookie and cream flavor! We passed by this place while driving a car and see a lot of people outside . we were very curious what it’s selling so look it up on Google maps and see it’s ice cream store immediately we decide to make a U-turn and get in the line for the -drive-through. Although the line is pretty long but it takes us around 25 minutes waiting in the car I would say it’s not too long based on how many people that’s waiting outside and it’s 30 minutes before the store closed. The staff were pretty nice and recommend us to try blackberry, which is one of their most popular favor next time.

Love the ice cream here! It’s a little pricy but worth the money. Tonight I visited and ordered a large chocolate waffle cone. Unfortunately the machine ran out of chocolate ice cream when my cone was not quite filled to large size yet. I was impressed that the server did not try to hand it off to me to see if I would take it, as I have seen some ice cream vendors do. Rather she explained what happened and offered to top it off with another flavor. So I still got my money’s worth of ice cream. Quite professionally handled!

I don’t understand the hype. The ice cream is just average. People just want to make themselves believe it is something special. Don’t waste your time waiting in line. You can get just as good ice cream elsewhere.

I wished they were open all year round and served different types of coffees (cappuccino, llate, frozen cold foams, etc).. the area is in perfect location for commuters to grab a breakfast egg sandwich with coffee on the run to work😍❤️❤️❤️ love that they have drive thru❣️🐮🐄🤠

Super spacious and fun to visit! The portions are pretty good and service was quick. They did mess up with our order at first but had us parked to make it right. I was a bit concerned of the waiting period (mainly because I have a sleeping baby that wakes up once the vehicle stops driving) but it honestly didn't take them long to fix it.
