It was horrible experience and ww won't be back. First of all for 4 people eating of their lunch special we were charged almost $90. When we questioned the bill they said yes it was correct a side of 🥦 🥦 was 9.95. We added a protein which was only supposed to cost 3-4 we were charged double. The food had so much oil and grease as well as late and cold. Their only grace was their garlic knots with fresh garlic. You'd get better pasta dinners from Stoffuers frozen dinners

First time was absolutely delicious... the calzone was amazing, the sauce was perfect, the antipasto salad was great. This will be my new go-to place for sure!!!

Great pepperoni pizza and baked spaghetti

I have heard many many people say this is the best pizza joint in the Mount Dora general area. I have tried many different places, and I have now tried this place three times. Is it authentic New York Pizza? No. I don't think they're claiming to be that either exactly. Is it good? Absolutely. And the experience is pretty authentic. If you're getting takeout as I have each time, your interaction is pretty much limited to stating your name and paying for your order. But they were professional and courteous, and there was a kitchen full of people madly working away cooking food. This is a good place. I have liked all of the pizzas I have ordered. I haven't tried anything else yet, because I wanted pizza. I would say of all of the places I have tried so far in the area? This is the best one. Also, every time I've been there I've been far from the only one waiting for a takeout order and the restaurant has been full. So obviously a lot of other people agree. Fantastic pizza at a reasonable price served quickly. Enough said.

Reminiscent of my New York days eating at the local pizzeria. I had the Italian sub which was meaty and fresh and very good. My friend had a calzone which was huge and the small was really big enough for two people. Food was priced appropriately. The facility was clean and the staff there was friendly and knowledgeable.

First time eating here since I moved out of the area over 30 years ago. Nothing has changed other than the paint color on the walls. I had the Italian Combo sub and my wife and kids shared a pizza. The food and service was great. Vincent is no longer there but one of his sons was.

Eat pizzas regularly, occasionally sandwiches. Usually take out. It always has good pizza and sandwiches. NY pizza

Best pizza in town... Try their large calzone and a vesuvio special. Amazing, good quality ingredients. The only complaint I have is they should make their Greek salads larger. They're delicious.

This is the best pizza around! I gave them 5 stars in atmosphere because it it worth eating there just to watch them work! It is a complete art performance to have that many people in the kitchen working so smoothly!

You can order by the slice and its very reasonable and and delicious 😋

Recently moved to Leesburg, we drive here cause this is my new favorite pizza place! Not too much/little cheese, sauce is tasty and just the right amount crust is absolutely delicious.

I've hit up Mount Dora Pizza & Subs three times since getting back to town, and each visit has been a home run. One of those times, they even hosted a big gathering for me and my buddies. Talk about great service! We've tackled their pizza, wings, calzone, and salad. Every single item? Top tier, no question. The flavors are spot on, and the quality is consistently high. And let me tell you about their meat sauce, it's a game-changer, seriously out of this world As family friends, they've always made sure our experiences are the same as regular customers. It's a no brainer for me. I'll always swing by Mount Dora Pizza & Subs when I'm in the area. If you're looking for some quality eats, this is the spot. Highly recommend!

My wife and I have eaten here twice up from Fort Myers visiting. Baked ziti, chicken parmesan and their Pizza was out of this world great 👍 Highly recommended

My new best Italian restaurant. Homemade and delicious. Pizzas pastas and their rolls are amazing. They have a sweet marinara sauce the way I like it and my guests were all very pleased with their selections as well.

Tried for the first time Friday 12/1/23 Mixed review We ordered wings, pizzas & garlic cheese bread. Wings were so/so Pizza I like the crust more of a coal fired & generous toppings Garlic cheese bread was awful (see pic) Value ok I think I’d try a new pizza place before going back

I would be describe it as generic Italian on the flavor profile. Nothing exciting. Portions are decent and takeout was piping hot fresh.

We went in there today for the first time because whales tale was close next door! We were very happy we stumbled across this place Mellodee was the waitress and she was awesome I had Italian sub and my girlfriend had the chicken Parmesan sub and it was excellent by the time we left the place was packed standing room only and this was a Monday !!! we were told that they had been in business for 45 years and we understood why! We will definitely be going back again

I ordered two pizzas one was half pepperoni and half cheese and the second was cheese sausage and jalapeño. The jalapeño was very fresh and flavorful but the cheese did not taste like mozzarella so for that I’m giving it 2 stars. It did but taste anything like New York pizza at all.

I have been in Central Florida fom upstae NY for over 13 years. Last evening, we had the BEST pizza we have had since moving here. This place is the best Food and service is FANTASTIC. We'll be back, frequently. WELL DONE FOLKS. I'm not easily impressed when it comes to Italian food.

I have to change my initial review because upon ordering the same exact pie this past Friday, the curst was horrible. It was like they rushed it. Soggy and flat in the middle and too much in the outside. Not sure that I will try a third time since it isn't exactly inexpensive. Had the best days of my life working for Vince and Tony now im almost 60 started when I was 23 goes to show you how good the food is the recipes have not changed from day one

We had a fantastic lunch here today. Serving size was awesome, food cooked perfectly! Our server Melony was perfect, she event went above and beyond to make sure there was no nuts in my desert before she served it. A new favorite place!!!!

I had the baked ziti. It was excellent. The garlic knots are delicious and the garlic butter has real garlic cloves incorporated into it. Highly recommend.

My son and I were looking for a no-frills good local pizza joint off the beaten touristy 441 highway and found this place which was just what we wanted. My son’s not very adventurous with pizza. It’s just pepperoni, but I added mushrooms on my half and it was perfect thin crust. We will always make a stop here when we come back. Do you know when the locals come here regularly? It’s got to be good and that’s what we were looking for.

So disappointed. I’ve ate here many times, but not anymore. I called at 8:29 pm numerous times. No answer. I drove to the restaurant and guess what 2 closed signs were hung up even though the sign clearly states that you are open until 9 PM. I was outside your building at 8:36 pm. Is this how you run a business?

I found my new place to eat pizza and try the rest of their menu. I had the deluxe pizza and cheese pizza.

Wish I could give a higher rating! Food was off the chain. Got calzone, salad and pizzas. The waitress went way above and beyond. Even down to helping us out to the car with our leftovers! Using a walker it isn't easy to manage the door and the car and the food! Can't say enough good things about it!!

Omg I can't believe this place is still around I grew up In mount Dora and we eat at donatos like once a week like 25 yrs ago I remember getting their personal lasagna in Greek salad. My mouths watering just thinking about it. Knowing they are still around I'll definitely take the 4hr trip just to eat lunch.

Wow… for a business to change prices and not update website and not disclose when you call in to order is very bad business. The website said approximately 18.00 for 2 subs and not share that it’s extra for lettuce tomato and mayo. I paid almost 25.00 for 2 subs. Shame on them.

it all depends on what you order their pizzas are great, but the pizzas by the slice is just 'meh' i liked my salad, but be careful the olives have pits ! they have draft beer, and wifi

I have been coming to this restaurant since I was a kid growing up in Lake County. I live near Orlando now but still enjoy coming back with family. Most recently, I got the Vesuvio pizza. Yum! The service was excellent, too.

First time here since moving from Orlando. Staff was friendly. Ordered chicken Parm and Italian combo sub. Talk about cheese bombed delicious sandwich! The sub reminded me of sandwiches from up north. Great find! Great food!
