We always love coming to the renaissance fair every year atleast once. This year they are searching bags so FYI. The skits and shows are always fun to watch. There’s lots of activities to do ,games, shopping and eating. Unfortunately I would like to note the quality of food has gone down while prices have gone up. The fish and chips I had was basically petrified. The pretzels all though huge are not worth your time. Next year I’ll definitely be looking for better options. I still think it’s worth $35 for the day though so go check it out!

Love this event and attend every year. Was a bit disappointed this year there was a new line for bag check just about as soon as you came from parking. I'm for safety, but we were turned away for having pretzels stating no outside food. Pretzels are to cleanse the pallet while drinking and to keep you sober. I always purchase their food and it wasnt a meal, so pretzels should be allowed.

Very beautiful grounds but certainly not enough directional signs. Especially in the parking lot. I do wish there were more food options but maybe we picked a day too many vendors were closed. We had a good time but I do think the bathrooms could use some updates. It would be great if there were directional signs around the inside of the gates too. Oh they do bag check (at least for this event they did) and they discarded all open outside food and drinks. I actually think that food was not permitted at all, whether opened or not. I’m not sure if we just had a hard time finding the bathrooms or if they just don’t have enough of them. I doubt we would be back anytime soon because we live in another state. The funnel cake was good and we were bummed we missed out on the turkey legs because they were closed! Bring a fan for your kids and expect to pay extra food food and drinks.

Renfair review! 🏰 This place beyond passes the vibe check. A real trip back in time. Average food cost after admission is $25 per person but be sure to bring spending cash for amazing souvenirs, gadgets and clothing! Biggest downsides: bathrooms are not great. Very small dirty. ♿️ And not ADA friendly. I understand the challenges with a venue like this but the terrain is not friendly to those who use mobility devices. Also the bathrooms are not even remotely accessible. On the whole great but those with walnut-sized bladders and disabled friends beware!

First, this is not a wine bar. It's a winery that has a brew pub on the grounds but is best known for its Renaissance Faire. We went on the last weekend of the fair and could not believe how crowded it was. There were so many people and such long lines for food that it was just too much. If you didn't get to an event half an hour before it started, you weren't going to get a good spot to even stand and watch let alone sit. All food and drink is cash only. This used to be such a fun event but it's gotten way too large and I feel like some of the larger performances were half-hearted and the storylines were silly. The chess match wasn't even a chess game; it was played out on a chessboard but that was as close to a game as it got. And having Merlin running around the faire was ridiculous at best. I'm sad that the people running it have decided to crowd so many people in. I would be willing to pay more for a ticket to an event that wasn't crammed in like sardines.

The best Meade you'll ever have at the best price. This winery is attached to the PA Renn fair and is an absolute blast. They do tastings at the bar and you get to keep the glass. They usually have a few new flavors each year and keep it interesting for all wine lovers. PA wines run sweet, if you like sweet wine you'll love their collection of classic wines. For the ones who like semi-dry you have to try the Meade. Even though it has high sugar content the taste will surprise you! Robust like the avocado blossom, and refreshing like the pea-blossom. It's a winner for seasoned wine lover and a new pallet. A definite sleeper here is the cider. The classic cider is great, and trust me when I tell you the peach vanilla is THE best seasonal cider you will get anywhere. It's semi-sweet, and the perfume of peach and the warm of vanilla make this a great one to keep in stock. It's not artificial like so many ciders out there and it's worth giving it a try. It's easy to forget the winery is open through the winter! So if you miss out on the renn fair experience or it's just not your thing, give them a visit in the off season. It's still a beautiful trip on the back roads and there is a cute town up the way with antique shops, small local restaurants / stores, and bed and breakfasts nestled in the PA farmlands.

Home of the Pa. Renaissance Faire. It is a great time, lots of fun things to do, and skilled craftspeople making awesome things. That being said, It is not a cheap place to go. Food is very expensive, as are drinks. But, what is cheap anymore? We enjoyed the atmosphere. The wine, mead, and beer are very enjoyable. We didn't eat while here except for a pickle on a stick. Which was good, but honestly, it's a bit pricey for a pickle. The shows, musicians, and actors are fantastic to watch and interact with. All in all, It's worth the trip to just lose yourself in imagination and fantasy, while being entertained and to have some drinks. We look forward to returning next year, for some fun and drink.

This is a great place to take a step back in time. Many people are in their garb and interact with everyone. There are a good number of shows (some adult content, but those shows usually advise before they start), food, and adult beverages. My younger kids (under 10) enjoy talking to the queen and her court, as well as the live chess match and jousting. You can't see everything in one day since multiple things and shows are going on at the same time. There are side shows as well as the queen's main storyline. The experience could be improved by having more covered space to sit and eat. This event is rain or shine, but finding cover other than shops is a challenge. In addition, merchants usually accept credit cards for their wares, but the food and drinks all seem to be cash only. I know cash is king, but the queen rules this faire land. I would highly suggest indulging in this experience.
