A nice little stop on the side of a highway with wildlife art of many different types. Nothing truly wowing but a cool visit if you have the time.

Beautiful museum depicting America West and awesome conservation exhibit. Wendy greeted us with a big smile as we came in and explained the layout and offered a fun art scavenger hunt for the kids who received an awesome wildlife book for finding 3 or more exhibits! The sculpture nature walk backdrop of the elk refuge was amazing!

Absolutely recommend checking out this spot when you’re visiting Grand Teton National Park near Jackson. There’s a ton of cool art and animal sculptures to check out. And don’t even get me started on the views outside! They’re incredible. definitely swing by if you’re in the area. It’s a great stop to stretch your legs, take in some art, and enjoy the scenery.

Magnificent museum. The view is extraordinary and the building is incredible. Pleasant visit, you can admire paintings and animal sculptures. It's fun for children. Great shop.

Expensive to visit for art Better art for free in the Jackson square

The outside is pretty nice. Were late so didnt get a chance to go inside. But outside sculptures were incredible.

I had the pleasure of working with Jessie, Justin, Jillian, & Ali as a vendor for a part of wedding. It was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The venue itself is stunning, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty and artistic elegance that creates a truly unique atmosphere for any event. The staff at the museum were incredibly organized and professional, making the entire process seamless for all vendors involved. Communication was clear and timely, and they were always available to assist with any questions or last-minute changes. I could spend a long long time here. Amazing exhibits, beautifully done and super informative. I was not expecting to learn so much on art and am leaving inspired to do more of my own

I never made it inside, but the building is wicked cool! Blends in to the habitat. The statues out front are cool, too. I need more time in Jackson and Grand Tetons just in general. I am definitely stopping and checking out the inside of the museum next time I come through.

Amazing place to host our wedding. It was absolutely amazing, and Jessie was wonderful. It was great to have guests mingle on the patio and use the galleries, kids watched movies in the theater. Overall, wonderful. Palate was also the perfect food vendor paired with the venue.

Absolutely worth the price. Incredible art and extremely friendly staff. Environmental Impact exhibition is beautiful and thought-provoking. Highly recommend spending at least two hours!

A true gem. Well worth two hours, even with children. Children’s activities and touchables spread throughout, plus a children’s art studio for little creatives. Gorgeous and profound art from 1600s through modern for the adults.

You don't have to pay to experience some of these wildlife sculptures. I really loved the ambience here - it was very peaceful. There are more art additions if you buy tickets. We still could enter on a Sunday

Beautiful building, great outdoor views and artwork. Greeter at the front desk gave us the info we needed to tour the museum. The three short films were intriguing and a must-see. There's an onsite restaurant where we enjoyed lunch. I wish there was more artwork, and that one would be allowed to photograph the special collection that was on display.

Lovely facility with a lot of information. Statues outside were awesome, and the views were amazing. I didn’t see it on the website, but military families were granted free entry while we were there.

I’m so happy I stopped here, there’s plenty of parking and no wait at the time I went in. The outside sculptures were pretty neat, now the real fun starts when you go inside the actual museum to the viewing gallery, it was roughly about $18 to get in, and about 2 1/2 hours to get through the whole Museum at a good pace, there was a lot of paintings and history and even a section for the kids. Highly recommend to stop and enjoy if you have extra time.

Great amount of wildlife paintings from 1800s and 1900s. Quiet and well laid out. Food at the restaurant was great.

Beautifully curated collection of different types of art featuring local wildlife. Informative exhibits with easy-to-digest interpretations of numerous pieces, with consistent references to changing attitudes and timelines. Opportunities to create and showcase one's own artwork are also embedded throughout the museum. The outdoor sculpture garden made for a lovely walk as well.

I am impressed that my entry fee was waived because I'm a tribal member. It is a beautiful facility loaded with stunning art work. I would recommend this to every Jackson Hole visitor.

A must see if you enjoy history or art. The museum had so many pieces from the 1600s to today that gave a historical record of humans using paintings and sculptures to show the beauty of wildlife, but also the relationship between humans and their effects on ecosystems and species from around the world. Because of its location there is a lot of focus on the “west”, Yellowstone and Grand Teton, the Great Plains, and local fauna like bison/buffalo, wild horses, grizzly bears, and more. Many pieces capture the conflicting feelings ppl have about manifest destiny and the destruction of many of America’s first and greatest treasures. It’s not one big guilt trip but it does give you a new perspective about humans’ simultaneous love of witnessing and experiencing nature while, paradoxically, sitting back as our expansion destroys it. Several pieces had me stuck in the same spot for several minutes (or longer) due to their artistry, attention to detail, historical context, or sheer size of the canvas. Several pieces stuck with me and I returned to many before leaving the area. Highly recommend going here. The cafe is only open for lunch (11a-2:30p I think). It’s about an hour walk north of Jackson right along side of the Elk Refuge. I imagine after the Elk migrate for the warmer months the walk could be a great chance at spotting local wildlife, otherwise it’s a very short uber ride from downtown. Make sure to look outside at the exterior sculptures! They’re mostly hard to miss but some hide a little. If you have any time before or after your visit, I highly recommend stopping at the Wilcox Gallery nearby. There is no entry fee and it is almost exactly in the middle of RT 89 between the museum and Jackson. Budget around 30-1hr of time and check it out! It has many pieces from a handful of artists (some also have pieces at the museum) and honestly, some of our favorite sculptures were at Wilcox rather than the museum. Obviously a museum serves a different purpose and is not something to skip, but adding the Wilcox before/after your visit costs nothing and it should be a required visit for tourists!

This place on the side of the road before reaching Jackson has life-size animal sculptures outside with beautiful views and is worth a visit.

It is relatively small and mainly contains artworks with local wildlife themes.

This was an amazing unplanned stop on our Teton Adventure Trip. The museum is beautifully curated. You can find amazing local artisan gifts and the food at The Palate was exceptional and the price was more reasonable than other places in the area. The service throughout our experience was exceptional!! Stop by!

Lots of really beautiful art. Half of the exhibits were closed, but we got a discounted rate. The outdoor sculptures are really cool too. There were lots of accessibility features like tactile displays, audio descriptions, gender neutral bathroom, and stuff for kids. I would definitely recommend this place!

This is a fantastic, well presented museum with tons of art, modern and historic situated in a great location with beautiful outdoor sculptures.

I really wish I could rate this place higher and I absolutely would if the staff had at the very least been polite. We came on a busy rainy day, which must be harder on staff than normal, but the ticket man literally yelled at myself and my baby.

Darrell Lonebear and myself did some native american events for the National Museum of Wildlife Art. A very beautiful place to share our culture.

Truly a great time! The staff was friendly and courteous and there were tons of exhibits to be seen! The restrooms and parking lot were clean, and that goes for the entire Museum overall as well. It is just a short drive outside Jackson Hole, WY which is also a great time for family and has many things to do.

This is a great activity especially on a snowy day. I especially enjoyed the photography from Africa exhibit.

I had a lovely experience here. It has a very pleasant atmosphere and so many wonderful pieces full of rich history. It is family friendly with a fun kids corner and an amazing view of the elk refuge. It was also very clean and easy to navigate.

Small museum but has many different types of wildlife art collections. The outside has a large area of sculpture public art pieces. The restaurant is great too, serving gourmet and healthy food. One of the best museum experiences I ever had.

I promise you'll be pleasantly surprised. Nearly brought to tears by their new Mkapa African Photography contest exhibit. Amazing work here. If you regularly enjoy art, expect to be entertained for a minimum of 2-3hrs.

It is a special (specialized) art museum that exhibits under the theme of “Wild Animals.” It has a different and unique atmosphere than other general art museums. You can feel the wonder of nature and animals more deeply. I arrived late, with about an hour left before closing, but they gave me a nice discount when I purchased my ticket. thank you

A little gem just north of town. Fabulous fine art depicting wildlife, with two regular rotating exhibitions.

It wasn't open, but the view here is amazing. If you have a chance you should come here and enjoy the view!

This museum was first established nearby in the town of Jackson 1987.... I haven't been inside but as far as I know they have their own library and archive…. But the outside statues are really life size...and nearby is a national elk refuge...:-)

A great stop while on Jackson! $2 coupons are found in fliers at other vendors. The art is very nice but a few galleries were closed on our visit.

This is a beautiful place. I have visited many museums and thus one had a special charm. It's small with only 5 rooms /galleries and not big. Everything is as the name says about the wildlife in Wyoming. And in the time I visited (Oct 23rd) is pretty empty.

Love this amazing and vibrant museum. This was our second stop during their guest artists event. Local artists contribute to the exhibition and it is always delightful. Be sure to stop here!

I'm not the usual type of person to visit an art gallery. However, the art on display here is fantastic and worth the trip. Great experience for even a caveman like me!

Well, I hate to say it. But we got there just as they were closing. So we didn't get to spend much time inside. But the bronze sculptures outside and inside are unbelievable the stop just outside of Jackson hole.

Amazing museum filled with wildlife artwork from the top wildlife artists in our county. Palate is suppose to be top notch for lunch didn't have time. The views, the outdoor sculpture and artwork make for a wonderful must see stop while you're in Jackson.

My mom and I are on vacation and only going to be in Jackson for 2 days we'd plan to visit this particular location on the afternoon of the 14th September. If you're going to be close for a private event you should probably post it on your Google page that your hours have changed because we could have used this time to take a tram on the gondolas to view scenery now we no longer have time. We'll walk around outside. Poor business practice for the nation's only Wildlife dedicated Museum. 😔

A very unique experience. One of my favorite art and photography museums

I brought my son who is very interested in art and we stayed about an hour and a half to two hours. We probably could’ve spent all afternoon if we had time there is 10 or 12 rooms of exhibit and he does like to study individual photo and art piece, very nice place to get out of the heat

We only ate lunch here, but the museum is real big. You cannot tell from the outside as it was built into the side of a hill. Really nice place, it's Jackson, so of course it is:)
