Their donuts are to die for!! Service was excellent, fast, efficient and respectful, It was the first time for me last week and I fell in love with their donuts, I overheard they make breakfast sandwiches as well, I'm definitely going back to try them. Their bakery is fresh and going pretty fast. Definitely recommended.

Everything is excellent the only down side is that this is a very VERY small location so it's get cramped inside so quick! Especially weekend mornings! Be prepared to stand outside! Parking is ample, I wish they got a bigger location

My son and me went in there to get some doughnuts. He has raved about Neils doughnuts for a long time. I finally know why. The selection of different doughnuts was amazing. They were so good. I got an iced coffee that was also good. They don't have to worry about competition to Dunkin Doughnuts, they are way above that. It was very busy when we went there, and it was standing room only as we waited in line that was out the door. A great place to for great doughnuts. I give it 5 stars.🙂

In town for business, googled best donut place and this came up. Friendly and was helped quickly. Sweets treats looked lovely, but unfortunately taste did not match up to visual - just ok. Not terrible, but not the best I have had either. Flavor was good but dough was heavier/more dense. You really have to know the science of yeast and working with fry oil to achieve donut perfection 😀, which would be a light crisp on the outside and a light fluffy cloud on the inside that puffs when you bite into it & does not sit heavy on you after eating it. Neils is much better than Whitney's, FYI. Tried them both 😀

Delicious baked goods of all kinds, not only donuts! Have had their coffee cake, amazing cinnamon rolls and crumb cake too. Everything is a winner here. Can't miss the Boston cream donut, lovely staff!

Great donuts. Fast service. Bagels are the best for the immediate area, but there really is no other bagel place on Middletown. Over all a great place to go.

This place was packed. We got the giant cinnamon roll, the glazed cruller, the cinnamon cruller, the Samoan, the blueberry crumble, regular glazed, and the Boston cream. The cinnamon roll was like a giant churro wrapped in a spiral with some extra cinnamon between the rolls. The cruller was definitely good, not the best but it was a good simple cruller. The samoan was like they took a girl scout cookie and scraped it onto a yeast doughnut. The blueberry was a tasty blueberry jam stuffed inside a powdered sugar donut, the jelly was a bit thick and sweet but if you have something to drink it will go down with no problem. The Boston cream was very good, just a bunch of cream in a doughnut, kinda hard to screw up. The glazed was good, nothing to really comment on. The worst was the cinnamon cruller, it was like a cake long john which is all the bad parts rolled into one, it was dry, tasteless and just heavy for no reason.

Best doughnuts in CT!! Just my opinion, but it's my go-to on my cheat days.

A friend has been recommending for years and we finally found time to make the drive. It was well worth it...both times. We've only tried the donuts, but they're my favorite donut in Connecticut so far. Their light, fluffy and not greasy yeasted donuts have no overblown decorations or flavor combinations. Very good coffee, too. Highly encourage you to get there! They would be successful anywhere they decide to open a location...in Western Connecticut. *hint* *hint*

Such an amazing donut. Then, they add some great topping combinations. Comercial places can't even come close, and other "local" places cover sub par donuts with overly sweet toppings to compensate.

I was impressed. I had heard about it, but I didn't think I would like it as much as I did. I will definitely go back.

The donuts were incredibly soft and fresh. The everything bagel for my egg and cheese was toasted perfectly, coffee was great as well. Highly recommend this place

The drive was definitely worth the wait! My daughter and I were so warmly welcomed by the staff as we entered to get our sweets for the day. Sometimes the little things make the experience of a newly visited place all that mattered. Take the time to enjoy life! Even if it’s just sitting down trying a donut 😄 Will 100% visit again!

This place is always busy. Local favorite spot. Best donuts in the country imo. Great staff. No seating is available inside or outside. Lines go pretty quick during the week. Get there early on weekends.

It’s literally every man for themselves the minute you step into this place yet my order was taken and placed almost Immediately and it’s the best donuts and coffee I’ve had in a hot minute. With being vegan it’s hard to find some donuts that are old school and not a million dollars and this place absolutely delivers. Heartbroken that I don’t live near here!! Can’t wait to come back someday (tomorrow). Edit: unfortunately have to update my review because the girl that served me today gave me an iced coffee with real milk and I didn’t realize until I already drove off. Had to just throw it out. I made sure it was oat milk before leaving too and she still swore it was good to go. A bummer for sure but the donuts are still incredible.

We snagged Neil’s as part of donut challenge at work, choosing the key lime and glazed. The glazed was a solid flavor throughout and took the win because of it. I’m not a key lime fan but I gave it a go. The icing was a nice flavor but the filling was a little off in texture. Neil’s offers a wide selection of donuts and i would absolutely go back for other options

The donuts and breakfast sandwiches are the best in the area, by far, but the staff is always so rude and pushy and I understand they are busy but they don't even give you a minute to think about what you want, as someone who lives over 35 minutes away I don't frequent there often so what I'm there I want to take a look but the staff is constantly asking what do you want what do you want what do you want and I was like I just need a minute.. The last time I was there not one person was behind me and the woman who was probably late '40s early '50s, was extremely rude and pushy I got two things and I left And if she actually gave me time to think about what I wanted I would have ordered plenty of items for my entire office

Love them! The dozen donuts is $15.99. You don't wanna buy donuts at Dunkin anymore lol Because it's way better and bigger but about same price. They are busy and small place, you should check their menu ahead. I was there at 12:30 on regular Tuesday and already some donuts what I wanted were run out... ;( Wish they have more! But I'm looking forward to visit again!

I’m not sure what kind of magic makes a VEGAN Bavarian cream donut tastes like regular custard or makes young people sling donuts like their in a busy New York deli but this place is FABULOUS. I scoped out the menu and thought there’s no way they have all these flavors , but they did. I got a half dozen and they were all great. Long line had me worried but I was in and out of there.

They have amazing donuts very light and fluffy. The coffee was pretty standard drip coffee.

I love the Boston creme and the sugar donuts. The coffee is pretty good too. Only negative thing is the donuts get hard the next day. Guess that's what happens when made fresh without tons of preservatives.

So many people have told me to try this place out. Service was excellent, in and out in less than 5 minutes. I was surprised how reasonable the prices were. I got 24 donuts and it came out to $29. I went to pick up my 2 dozen right when they opened to make sure they were fresh and I’m sad to say the donuts were all very dry.

The best vegan donuts I've ever had. And they have a huge variety to choose from. My favorites so far are the Bavarian Cream, Boston Cream, and Samoa. They rival anything from NYC, and I've tried almost every vegan and gluten-free donut in the city. Also the prices are great!!

Absolutely fabulous donuts. You’ll never find a donut fresher anywhere. Place is always busy but you won’t wait long. Staff is helpful and efficient. Tons of old school faves like glazed, chocolate sprinkles, jelly, and plain. Specialty ones as well. Key lime, Oreo, Samoan are a few. Bakers dozen. Priced reasonably.

Great BEC’s, donuts and coffee. Only complaint is my entire cup is ice for my iced coffee so it’s gone in about five sips which is disappointing for the price. Quick service.

Neil's is absolutely terrific! Their sugar and cinnamon donuts are great! I also like their fried egg, cheese, and bacon sandwiches, always cooked just right! Inflation has caused the prices to skyrocket, but they've got to pass it on to the consumer like every other business. I now just go two times a week rather than 4, I absolutely love Neil's Wallingford Location on Route 150, give it a try. Food is always fresh and cooked to your spefic order

I’ve been eating the donuts for years and never bothered leaving a review, because what was I going to say that hadn’t already been said? Yesterday I got a breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel for the first time ever. The sandwich was good, but the bagel was the best I’d had in years. Get the bagels!

Super tasty homemade donuts at this tiny hole in the wall. Savory-toothed patrons fear not, they offer bagels and breakfast sandwiches as well. Excellent coffee too. Long line? No problem. There are at least a dozen young women packed into the place, literally tripping over each other, each more eager than the other to help you get your breakfast ASAP. It's grab and go and very reasonably priced.

This place has great coffee and donuts, however, the parking situation really needs some work. The lot is small and has several potholes, I'd like to see this improved.

Neil's Donuts voted best in CT, and, yes, they are that good! Made fresh daily on premises. Well filled jelly, creme, and Boston creme donuts, are not injected, but sliced open and filling added. Also coffee rolls, other typical "breakfast pastries," and fresh made, surprisingly good coffee!

Best, freshest donuts I’ve ever had. If you don’t eat them the day u bought them they stay good for days wrapped up. Dunkin’ Donuts gets hard as a hockey puck in an hour. They got a great beacon egg and cheese sandwich
