The food in the establishment is really very tasty. I really liked the service. Unfortunately, they didn’t ask the name of the waiter. When I came up, I always asked if everything was delicious and if we needed anything else. I think we’ll come back before the end of our vacation to eat here. We took khinkali, khachapuri and Kiev cutlets. And we took pancakes with us for breakfast 🙌

We went to Nene’s tonight for my husband’s birthday and we had a wonderful time trying Ukrainian and Georgian food! The restaurant has a great vibe/atmosphere and our waiter, Denis, made the whole experience even better! He was kind, very attentive and seated us to our table promptly. He offered to help us with the menu since it was our first time there and took the time to explain all the different dishes to us. We LOVED all the food that he recommended! We’ll be back again to try more dishes next time!

Highly recommend going to Nene’s if you haven’t already! It was a busy Saturday night and all the staff worked so hard to take care of all the customers. Our waiter was very nice and took great care of us. We got the Sarma, Khinkali, Golubtsi and Uzbek Plov. All were absolutely delicious. I will also say I have tried a lot of golubtsi (but Polish version, golabki) in my lifetime, as this is a dish I really enjoy. No one has come close to my mother’s golabki except Nene’s. It was my favorite dish. The prices are also very reasonable too. Can’t wait to come back!

People left the village, but the village remained in their heads! There are no complaints about the food, but there is an atmosphere, songs about the war and about dead Russians accompany you during the meal.....it's terrible! Change your approach, this is a restaurant, people come here to have fun and peace!

We are obsessed with Nene’s! Everything is fresh and flavorful. We had the dumplings, chicken kyiv and cheese bread. Absolutely phenomenal. Couldn’t end the meal without the napoleon for dessert. Can’t wait to come back. Ida served us and she was so kind and gave us great recommendations.

This place is awesome! The server Ida was really nice and offered great suggestions since we aren’t familiar with Georgian food, everything we tried was amazing! They have dishes from Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkey and Ukraine, so lots to choose from! Definitely a must try in Tampa!

I had a fantastic experience at Nene’s Restaurant. The service was excellent, and the food was equally impressive. The Adjaruli Khachapuri was rich and flavorful, with a perfect blend of cheeses, while the Samsa had a flaky crust and a savory lamb filling that was beautifully seasoned. The Uzbek Plov featured tender lamb and well-seasoned rice, making it a comforting dish, and the Ukrainian Golubtsi was delicious, with tender cabbage and a hearty beef filling. Overall, Nene’s Restaurant offers a delightful combination of great food and top-notch service.

I loved the atmosphere and decor. I dined in the early afternoon and it wasn't crowded. I ordered green tea and the Mini Chicken Kiev. I've had it before but I wanted to experience the authentic version. The menu stated that the meal included eggs, however I was not prepared for the egg to be in the center of the chicken. I rarely eat eggs so I was not a fan. I did totally enjoy the mashed potatoes and vegetables. I'll return to try another menu item, to broaden my culinary taste.

Had lunch here recently and was seriously impressed. We had the Adjaruli Khachapuri and Samsa for appetizers, and Georgian Dumplings and Lamb Plov for our main course. Everything was fresh, hot, and seasoned perfectly. Also the time from ordering to getting the food was very reasonable and the service was very attentive for refilling drinks. Will definitely return.

We called and asked to accept 15 people, if of course this is possible. On Sunday they are open until 9:00pm, but it was already 8:15pm, we needed to get to the restaurant another 45 minutes. They welcomed us, the people were very hospitable, good-natured, the food was amazing, homemade, everything was very tasty, the service was very pleasant, it felt like we were among friends, among family 🙏👍. We all left having thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thank you very much!

You have to try this place!! Firstly, Deniz was our server and gave us the best recommendations, helped explain some of the things on the menu and tell us about the traditional way to enjoy the plates. Even if the food was only decent, I’d be back just because of his service. But the food was also great! Had 2 of the unique, house-made beverages, an Armenian beer (recommended by Deniz), an appetizer, and two full plates between my girlfriend and I. Loved every bit of it all. Very glad to have found this restaurant and have already recommended it to multiple people. Can’t wait to go back and try more things! Also, the prices are GREAT! Very reasonable.

When I come to the restaurant in the US and pay money for the food, I sertanly do not wanna hear politics. I understand some Georgian and I am fluent in Ukrainian. When I was there the songs that were played were disgusting. One of the Ukrainian songs that I can recall had a meanig for a Russian to get the body bag ready for use. I honestly do not want to consume my food in that hateful atmosphere and pay money for that. I want to mention that food was mediocre. I would say, food was very salted and meat was overcooked. We also left the place smelling like khinkali ourselves. I guess the ventilation is not good in the kitchen. The waitress was the only pleasant thing at this place. She was very nice and attentive. However, we were the only customers at that time, so I can't really judge. Absolutely agree with other ratings about the names of the dishes being labled Ukrainian while it either not or belong to many other post-soviet countries. However, the names of the dishes is sertanly not the biggest consern. Overall experience was not nice at all and mostly ruined by those nasty songs and projected hate. It is absolutely unacceptable to play those songs in public, possibly knowing that you can get away with it because many people will not understand the meaning.

My husband and I had lunch at Nene's for the first time today. The food was excellent and the ambiance was nice and mellow. We had the cabbage rolls, khinkali and borscht, as well as Armenian beer and Georgian wine, and everything was fantastic. We have spent time in Ukraine, and I would say the food at Nene's was equal to that I have gotten in Kyiv. We will be back for more!

Wow! We had an amazing dinner. When I go out I want something I can’t make at home and Nene’s delivers! The beer, stuffed grape leaves app and entrees we ordered, all had amazing flavor. We will be back to try more soon!

This is definitely a hidden gem in Tampa. My boyfriend and I came here within a few minutes of closing, and we were welcomed with opened arms. Dennis was our server and he was fantastic. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. The food and the service did not disappoint. We will most certainly be back. The dumplings are a must have!!

My family and I have dined here about five times and we will continue to do so in the future. We absolutely love their wide array of food choices from Eastern Europe and Central Asia. The staff and owner are consistently professional, cheerful, and attentive. The decor is as if we are walking into a Ukraine or Georgian local restaurant. If you have not tried Nene's, you are missing out, this is a wonderful addition to our South Tampa cuisine.

Visited with several friends for our first time at Nene’s. We ordered 4 appetizers and 5 entrees so we could sample as much as we could and everything was outstanding. So good. Highly recommended

Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food! The Khachapuri was the best I've had, and everyone absolutely needs to try it. The Khinkali and Chicken Kiev are also highly recommended. Most of all, we really loved the Georgian wines, including the Green Kisi and Blue Rkatsiteli. We'll be returning soon!

I don't know how it took us so long to find this restaurant. We weren't familiar with the food, but our server explained everything we were trying. We loved everything we tried.

An incredible gem that you must try. Ida was very helpful explaining dishes and helping with the proper way to eat them. But the food itself was the star of the show. Everything was flavorful and made with fresh ingredients. I highly recommend the Khinkali (Georgian dumplings) but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Very good place good food nice waiter

I’ve had Lithuanian and Russian food before, but never Ukrainian or Georgian, and as much as I love South Tampa, it does lack variety in its restaurants, so we were happy to stumble across this place. The food is delicious, and they have really interesting beers and wines to try. The service was also very friendly and considerate, and they were so sweet to let my 2 and half year old daughter play with the Russian doll she saw on our way to our table.

We were looking for more flavor and tired of eating at the same restaurants. So we tried Nene's and so glad we did! The suggestions were great. The waiter gave us great tips and even guided us on how to eat the Khinkali:) We loved the Samsa and Khinkali, which were delicious. Staff was friendly. The food is extremely flavorful. We will definitely be back to try more entres and appetizer options!

Best food I’ve had since coming to Florida. Every dish was great, especially the bread dishes that I can’t pronounce. Will be back for the stuffed peppers. Service was fantastic and the ambiance was very lively. The dumplings tasted very similar to Chinese soup dumplings.

We were looking for a unique dining experience, and this did not disappoint! I had never tried Georgian food before, but everything we tried was delicious. Definitely get the adjaruli khachapuri, which is probably the most delicious and unique cheesy bread I've ever had! I've had Polish cabbage rolls before, and the Georgian version is very different but equally delicious. The Georgian dumplings make another great appetizer, and the lamb chops were spot-on. Thanks to our server Dennis for great service and a lovely evening we look forward to repeating next time we're in Tampa!

I have been here several times, every time I have received splendid service from the staff with great energy from them. The food matches their energy, and they will work with you. I had a reservation with them that went well and I could not recommend them enough. From wine to their plov, it feels like you are traveling to each respective culture and feel at home.

If you haven't checked it out, Nene's on El Prado in South Tampa serves delicious Ukrainian and Georgian cuisine. The staff are so welcoming and helpful with the menu. The khachapuri cheesy bread, the samsa pastry, the eggplant, and the khinkali dumplings were our favorites. We'll be back!

I live down the street from Nene's and decided to try it tonight with my family. The food was incredible, everyone enjoyed their food and we ended up sharing all the dishes we ordered so we could all try all the great Ukranian, Georgian, and Uzbek foods together. I recommend the dumplings and the cheese bread - both were INCREDIBLE. The service was also very friendly and attentive. We will be back for sure!

A GEM! As an Asian with spoiled taste buds, I guarantee the food here is amazing! Everything is fresh and the flavors are balanced. I love that the food here isn't oily and feels healthy! Very interesting flavor profile you don't find easily around! There's also a variety of eastern European beers available, we had Kilikia which is a low carbonated beer with bold honey taste, yumm!

Nene's restaurant brought us back to our home, Ukraine. Every meal was super delicious, service at the top level and prices are ok too.

I am from New York and went to Nene’s while visiting Tampa. It was such an excellent experience that I cannot wait to go there again next time I am in the area. I had the opportunity to try dishes from both the Ukrainian side of the menu and the Georgian side of the menu. The Ukrainian dishes were as good as what I have had in Ukraine, with the vareniki and the medovik being the stars of the show for me. I was excited to try the Georgian food as well, since I was less familiar with the cuisine before Nene’s. The khachapuri was incredible, and I now consider it one of my favorite foods. If you haven’t had it before, it is almost like an open calzone, with the addition of egg and butter. We paired the whole meal with Georgian wine, which was the perfect complement to the meal. While the food was top notch, what really blew us away was the service and the hospitality. Our waiter was so welcoming and kind, that we more had the feeling of eating in someone’s home than being in a restaurant. I highly recommend Nene’s and would give them more than 5 stars if I could!
