This place is awesome! Best sushi I've ever had! Great vibes, great service, great place!!!

The staff was super attentive and kind! Clean atmosphere. The sushi was on par with a few other places I like going to in the area. If you haven’t been, go check them out! If you see an older gentleman, a regular, that likes to sit in the far right chair at the sushi bar…shake his hand for me and tell him thank you! 😊

I am appalled by the owners response to my review, which blatantly shifts the blame for the poor service we received onto us as customers. This pattern of blaming patrons for their negative experiences, as seen in other reviews, is unacceptable and unprofessional. Our experience at Nguyen’s was marked by an inexcusable delay in service, despite the restaurant not being busy. We waited over an hour for our food while other tables, which arrived after us, were served promptly. The service we received was subpar, and the quality of the food was equally disappointing. It is clear from reading other reviews that there is a disturbing trend of minorities being treated differently at the establishment. The owners consistent practice of writing negative responses about minorities who dine at this restaurant further underscores a serious issue of bias and unfair treatment. Instead of addressing the real concerns raised by multiple customers, the owner deflect responsibility, and or excuses about the restaurants staff. This is not acceptable. Every customer deserves to be treated with respect and provided with quality service, regardless of their background. I stand by my review. The service at Nguyen’s was terrible, and the way the owner handles criticism only reinforces my decision to warn others about this restaurant. I urge potential diners to reconsider their choice and seek out establishments that value and respect all customers equally. My Previous Post: I was excited to dine at Nguyen’s Kitchen and Sushi Bar in Fort Myers with my family after reading positive reviews. However, our experience was incredibly disappointing. Upon arriving, we were seated promptly and a server took our drink order. It took quite a while to receive our drinks, and we then placed our food order at the same. The restaurant was not crowded; there was only one other party seated. During our wait, three other groups arrived, placed their orders, received their meals, and left, while we were still waiting for our meals. Over an hour passed without any communication from our server or any sign of our food. Water was only suggested to us only after complaints were made about the poor service. Food took more than an hour and fifteen minutes, although the three parties arriving after us had been served immediately. The service was horrendous. When we finally decided to leave and pay for our drinks, our food suddenly appeared. The food itself was mediocre We know what good food tastes like, and this was far from it. The manager eventually came over and apologized for the delay offering us complimentary desserts. As the only people of color in the restaurant at the time, it felt particularly disheartening to be treated so poorly while other tables were served promptly. Overall, our experience at Nguyen’s was terrible. This place did not live up to the reviews. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. We make the food in order as it comes in, this party have ordered mixed drinks, wines, over 10 specialty sushi rolls plus entrees. We also have mentioned that it will take time to complete the order. Besides the customers who are dinning in, we do have takeout orders and delivery orders. Our manager had came over to apologize for the delay, gave explanations and offered complimentary desserts for the delay. Complimentary desserts were accepted. But after finishing the complimentary desserts and shouted out loud in the restaurant to write a bad review. This is a small family owned restaurant. The owner’s family’s livelihood and every employee’s family’s livelihood depends on the survival of the restaurant. Please be kind to the next restaurant you decide to visit. Thank you.

Amazing food and service! I would 100% recommend to everyone.

I recently visited Nguyen’s Kitchen & Sushi Bar with a party of six and had an extremely disappointing experience (IT WAS HORRIBLE) Based on the reviews, I was excited to dine at this restaurant. Unfortunately, the service did not match the high expectations. We waited **one hour** after placing our order before our food arrived. To make matters worse, it took **another 15 minutes** before we were even offered water. During our long wait, we watched as four other parties who arrived after us were served, finished their meals, and left while we were still waiting. The staff showed a complete lack of attention and efficiency. This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a pleasant dining experience. After posting my initial review I received this response from the owner : “So sorry for your bad experience. We got extremely busy during slow season and were understaffed. Hope you will give us any visit.” UNFORTUNATELY THIS IS FALSE SO NOW I WILL GO INTO DETAIL ABOUT MY HORRIBLE DINING EXPERIENCE, when I arrived at your restaurant there were 2 people dining at the bar … again I will note 2 GUESTS SEATED AT YOUR BAR. YOU DID NOT BECOME EXTREMELY BUSY , YOUR STAFF SIMPLY NEGLECTED THE PARTY OF 6 , shall I mention how uncomfortably HOT your establishment was , we asked for the air to be turned ON … it was NEVER turned on . Your server rushed to have us order drinks BEFORE WE EVEN OPENED OUR MENUS… again we were rushed to order drinks … so we expected service just as quickly as the drink order . YOUR WAITRESS SPENT ABOUT 30 mins HANGING OUT AT THE BAR AND CHATTING WITH COWORKERS, SO YOU WERE NOT UNDERSTAFFED. While we waited (as mentioned in my initial review) 3 parties ARRIVED, RECEIVED DRINKS & FOOD , and we were yet to receive WATER ON OUR TABLE . This restaurant lacks professionalism and customer service, I understand it is your job to invite a guest again BUT I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS RESTAURANT . I URGE ANYONE PLANNING TO ATTEND THIS RESTAURANT TO THINK TWICE .

Highest quality sushi, generous sushi rolls, and friendly service. Went in with my son while visiting the area, got in early. Our server Sierra was attentive and communicative. Outside appearance of the restaurant is deceiving, well worth the visit. The rolls were delicious, melts in your mouth.

Found a new place close to home. Tried a few things and liked them all!! They don't have much of an entree menu, but what they do have is tasty!

This place is an absolute hidden gem! My best friend and I love meeting here as our private getaway for lunch. We eat and stay as long as we like and the staff is always so friendly and fun! I love love love this place and would give it more stars if it was an option to do so!

All my daughter wanted for her sweet sixteen birthday was sushi from Nguyen's! We placed a huge order for take out to have a party at home and it was amazing! The best sushi we've had without a doubt! It was fresh and the flavors and sauces were outstanding!

Amazing service, fantastic food, free arcade games for kids, full bar for me, clean. I got sushi, noodles, and wings and everything was on point.

Love this place so much, clean and nice place, delicious food, reasonable prices and have fun Thursday Karaoke Night. Highly recommended.

I've been here twice the first time the food was good. Now after eating salmon sushi rolls, I am sick with a stomach ache. The food was not cold as my rolls usually are and the salmon didn't taste like salmon. I am done not going back. Your response is why I didn't call you, negative! Instead of being responsible for your fake sushi salmon you took the low road. Wonder about other minorities getting sick, was that special just for us?

My favorite to go place, no matter the occasion staffs always nice and friendly. Kevin and chi are amazing and well talented people.

We drive past almost everyday and finally decided to stop in.. no regrets!!! Sushi was super fresh, won tons were light, flaky and crispy and the chicken fried rice was cooked to perfection! Server was on point and atmosphere was relaxing. Will definitely be back!!

What a wonderful experience my son and I had. The food was fresh and delicious!! The service was A-1!! Our server didn't normally do the serving but did it as if it just came naturally to her. I got the impression she worked in the kitchen but had to fill in. Lovely woman!!!!!

Finally got to try this place. It's only open for lunch on Saturday and Sundays, dinner the rest of the week. Everything was fresh, the service was great. There's a full bar, kids menu, and a few non-sushi options for those who don't like it for whatever reason. Very nice presentations on the food as well. I do have some food restrictions, which they are happy to accommodate. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable.

Well this place had almost 5 stars but every single bottle of soy sauce had nats in them it was so gross and the sushi had zero flavor would never eat here again the waitress was nice but why are there nats in the soy sauce. We told the manager and they just gave us packets my bill came to 120 and we couldn’t eat after we saw the nats in like 4 bottles. No apology no nothing just threw over some packets

This is BY FAR the best sushi we’ve ever had. We are big sushi eaters and I promise this place will not disappoint. Taste was delicious, very fresh and rolls are crafted with care which I appreciate 🫶🏼 Our host, Kristin was very sweet, amazing service and her recommendations were just on point. Will definitely come back soon! One more thing; they played all my favorite songs which made the experience even more special. Love this place 🥰

I am editing my review of this restaurant. I finally decided to give it a try again a year later and I have absolutely nothing but positive things to say about their food. The quality of food definitely changed. You can taste the difference. It’s fresh, quality ingredients. The rolls are unbelievably delicious. All the dishes we tried today were just outstanding. I’m so glad to see this restaurant has made such a phenomenal change. The food is outstanding, the drinks are absolutely delicious and extremely generous. I would definitely recommend. You will not be disappointed

Best Sushi I’ve ever eaten! This is truly a hidden gem. I’m so happy it’s only a 10 minute drive for us! We will be making this a regular “treat” for us. Don’t miss your chance to have a favorite new place that is clean and has the best food! The owner even added a koi pond outside. He is a food artist! They also have a karaoke night, which would be a fun night with friends. 🍱🍣 YUM!!!

Doesn’t look like much outside but inside is beautiful! Lots of tables and booths and a few tvs showing sports over the bar. Really friendly service and delicious food! We will definitely return!

Hidden gem. Coming from the West coast, I find it hard to get good sushi here. This is the best I’ve had in the area.

I had heard a lot of good things about Nguyen’s and decided to check it out. It doesn’t look like much from the outside and the center it is in, but it is super clean inside and the food is amazing. We started with the eggrolls, then had a Sumo roll, Crab Rangoon Roll, and a volcano roll. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. Prices aren’t exorbitant either. The owner, Kevin, was behind the sushi bar. Nguyens was a pleasant surprise. We will absolutely be back.

Don't pre-judge this place, it's a must try. This is way underrated. Best Tempura I've had. Sushi is amazing and sashimi are large portions (vs other places). Food is served in a clean and lovely presentation. I have eaten at a number of restaurants at this location, and think their failure is impacting perception of the place. But this current restaurant is awesome. Will be back again and again and soon.

Owner is amazing and will explain anything you ask about. Everything on the menu is amazing because they take time and effort with there recipes and sushi rolls. The owner is almost always the one making the sushi and is such a nice guy to talk to. I hope this place stays for ever some of the best sushi I’ve ever had!

I wanted to like the food here. Everything tasted so sweet. The sushi was sweet, the fried rice was sweet and too wet, and the pad Thai just tastes like sugar with some cilantro on top. There were no other flavor elements and the food was really one dimensional. I won’t order again.

I recently did a takeout order at this restaurant. I was kind of on the fence about it based on its location but I still wanted to give it a try. I am so glad I did! Even though it was a takeout order the staff was incredibly welcoming. The food, oh my goodness, it was incredible. The sushi! It was an absolute delight. The freshness of the fish was unrivaled and each roll was meticulously crafted to perfection. The pad thai was honestly one of the best I've ever had. It had the perfect balance of flavors and the generous portion left us completely satisfied. One aspect about this restaurant that truly stands out is the value for the money. The portions are generous sizes making it an excellent option for those seeking quality food without breaking the bank. I also must mention that the atmosphere at this restaurant is a bit challenging due to its previous identity as a Perkins, but they've worked diligently to overcome that stigma and you will see their determination when you step through the door. Additionally, they have also created some outdoor seating with lights and lanterns and hopefully their efforts will pay off. Now, I understand that some might be hesitant about visiting due to its location, as I was, but let me assure you. It is absolutely worth the trip. Good food is always worth seeking out in this place is a Hidden Gem that you won't want to miss! You won't be disappointed!

I liked my roll but the tempura cheesecake really stole the show

I'm just being honest....the food was good. But, for what was ordered, compared to the atmosphere, it was very expensive! 2 drinks & a meal that we split....over $100! I didn't feel it! The service was great & the food was good. And maybe I didn't understand the cost of sushi???? I would ONLY go back with coupon(s)!
